I want to acknowledge how wonderful the staff is at Avalon Towers. You found a gem when you brought in Karen Madden nearly 2 years ago. Her smile and genuine warmth greets you all the time and she is available for many of us with any situation. The maintenance staff of Kevin, Andy, and Jose have been on top of everything. Andy has been a great help through the past renovation of the apartments and and is always prepared to assist and repair with a smile. A friendly staff is a good one. It makes the residents believe in the Avalon Team! And not to forget Mike Barone who leads this group. Awesome! Thank you all.I want to include the Community Manager, Tayfun, who makes the leasing and moving transition easy and pleasant with his attentiveness and concern . Rickey Piazza has been helpful to me as well. Everyone on Staff deserves recognition for his/her efforts I believe.I love living here. Its a happy place and I hope it continues to be so.
I moved into Avalon Towers in January and every day am even more happy I made that decision. Toni made the leasing easy and stress free. Everything was explained and all my questions were answered. The concierge staff are fantastic and I have enjoyed getting to know them over these months. The maintenance staff are amazingly quick to fix even non-emergent issues and they are so friendly when they come over. (My dogs love them!)The building is quiet, amazingly quiet. The dog friendly nature of this community makes it a must see if you have dogs and are looking to rent. The apartments are big and have stunning views no matter what floor you are on.I give this building and team a well deserved five stars.
I have lived in Avalon Towers for the past five years. I absolutely love living here and cant say enough about the amazing, amazing staff. As someone who leads over 90 people on a staff of my own, I understand that it all starts at the top...The top is Rickey Piazza...He is the General Manager for many Avalons and is truly an outstanding leader...He knows his residents and he treats his staff with great respect and kindness, something that isnt often found in this type of business. Rickey is hands-on, approachable and responsive. Toni Weathers is the Sales and Service Supervisor of Avalon Towers...Since I have been a resident we have had several outstanding individuals in this role (all of whom where promoted because of their excellence)...Toni has been in the building for about a year and she is a welcome addition. Tonis smile is infectious and her ability to get things done is remarkable. Toni is sweet and kind, but no nonsense...She cares about the building, the residents and has brought in several programs that engage the residents and promote a positive living community. From her free art classes to her cute pop-up food stations, Tonis creativity is just what the building needed to move ahead. Kevin Dolgos is the Maintenance Supervisor...The minute you put a request into him, he is on it. Kevin goes out of his way to assist residents and makes sure that requests are handled promptly and effectively. In addition, Kevin is willing to help in situations that may not even be considered Avalon responsibility...I have a problem with pigeons on my outdoor deck and Kevin not only researched the issue, he spoke with the city of Long Beach, ordered several items out of his budget and made sure that this situation was rectified. He is all personality and everyone adores him. Karen Madden, our Head Concierge knows everyone in the building and takes a personal interest in them. She is helpful, kind and treats the residents like they are her family. Karen involves herself in the building and always goes the extra mile. Karens smile and dedication are commendable. Sachell, the Evening Concierge is a breath of fresh air...She is dedicated, personable and always helpful. Andy and Jose, who are part of the Maintenance Team are AMAZING and very helpful...Additionally, the Front Desk Staff of Tracey, Jesse and Kayla round out a group of people that shine! I am thrilled to live in Avalon Towers and feel fortunate that our Team is so Excellent! What a great building, outstanding leadership and dedicated staff! After living in the city for many years and being the President of a large Condo...I thought I couldnt find anything as superior...I was wrong, Avalon Towers is the BEST!
Ive been living at the Avalon for about 5 months and I couldnt be happier. The staff are extremely attentive to any of my needs, no matter how big or small. The techs Kevin and Andy get the job done, fast and efficient. Karen, Brandon and Martin always greet you with a smile. The apts are spacious and updated, the gym is brand new, the building is immaculate, the pool deck is beautiful and everyone in the building is pet friendly. Ive been an apt dweller for over 10 yrs, and the Avalon by far is Top Notch. I reccomend anyone whos looking for great people and staff to move here.
I have lived @ Avalon Towers since October 2015...and it has been nothing short of magical.Tayfun, Brandon, Karen, Martin and every Member of the Avalon staff are so welcoming and professional. They must have really good training because they make the apartment complex feel like family. The residents are the same way!I work long hours so it is so nice to have a peaceful refuge to come home to at the end of the day. Oh and the ocean view that the porperty overlooks isnt a bad perk either :).Highly, highly recommend choosing Avalon Towers as your next home.
My husband and I have been living in Avalon Towers for nearly 2 years. The construction period was a very difficult time for all of us. AvalonTowers has returned to a very wonderful place to live. We recently moved into a smaller apartmentin the building. Tara, Ricky, Tayfun, Mike and Kevin each in their individual capacity helped to expedite this move for us. Andy, our maintenance tech who on a daily basis answers requests in a very prompt and efficient manner, was extraordinary in his kindness and help! Jose keeps our building and grounds neat and clean. Karen, our concierge is always there with a smile to help the residents in any way she can. Avalon Towers is much more than living on the ocean, its home and we love living here.
My five star review is not for avalon towers building but for its maintenance. I have lived here for two years and anything that I needed at any hour Andy has been there to fix any situation my sink clogged several times and on a weekend of all times, he came on his off hours to fix the problem. Another time my washing machine started to flood my kitchen again on a weekend Andy came to my rescue again. I am so grateful for him he always has a positive attitude and is so friendly and easy to get along with. Andy is extremely professional and goes above and beyond the call of duty for everyone here at Avalon Towers I would recommend his work to anyone. Thank you Andy for all that you do.
I wanted to recognize Karen Maddon ( concierge) for all her hard work ,and dedication to the residents. Karen is so caring and sweet! She is constantly looking for ways to help the residents . We adore her ! Karen is so organized ,and works so hard ! I have been living at Avalon Towers for over 10 years , and think Karen is the best of the best !!!It is a real credit to Avalon Towers for hiring such an incredible devoted employee.
Great maintenance and concierge staff. Recently had a service request to re-glaze a shower pan. The work was done professionally and timely. One of the crew, Andy, oversaw the work and even came back in the evening to finish up.Unfortunately, I can’t give five stars due to a persistent elevator issue. I hope management can step up and resolve!!!
Kevin and Andy are absolutely wonderful guys. No matter how little or big of service, they are willing to ensure quality work in completing the request. They have assisted me multiple times and always did so with a smile. Since the very first day that I have moved in to the Avalon in Long Beach, they have been nothing but welcoming. Even in just passing they are always ensuring that me and my partner are happy with living in the Avalon. Thank you guys for all that you do!
Avalon Towers in Long Beach is like living in Paradise. To wake up to the Ocean and the beach everyday is a blessing. The staff at Avalon Towers are fantastic they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. By far the best building in Long Beach NY!!!
Ive lived in so many buildings, and the staff here is exveltional, especially compared to other places Ive lived. Whether I come home in the morning or the evening, I am always greated with such a warm welcome. Everyone who works here is always so friendly and helpful. Its really nice to come home to such a positive environment!!! I love it here!!! Its always such a pleasure chatting with the staff in the lobby. Thank you to Avalon Towers for everything that you do here :) I will be renewing my lease once it ends!
My family and I absolutely love living here. Everyone that works here is very friendly and caring. Karen is a doll, she is so helpful and genuinely concerned. Today, for Valentines day, Toni set up a yogurt station with all sorts of toppings. It was so nice and thoughtful. Everyone here really goes above and beyond!
Karen Madden is the head Concierge here at Avalon Towers. She is more than competent; she is also warm, sincere, and utterly genuine. She goes the extra distance, and clearly, this her nature. As such, she is greatly valued by us and our fellow tenants alike.If I continue with my superlatives Ill blow my credibility so Ill end here.Smiles,Gary and Joanne
Basically your are paying for the ocean view and some amenities that have just been updated however they are raising tenants rents as much as 25% each year!!! The kitchens and bathrooms are horrendously outdated. The apartments have really old dirty carpets also with flat white paint that has 10 coats or more with hardened drip stains everywhere. They are spacious rooms though.The staff has been constantly changing because of poor management. You are right on the beach but when the weather is hot and its the weekend this is the most crowded beach in long beach. The gym is nice and the community room.I would advise you NOT to move here unless its for 2yrs or less. Everyone gets a huge rent raise and moves. One elevator is always booked on sat & sun because of the shell game Avalon is playing!
I recently moved into Avalon Towers, and the staff have been amazing. Kevin, Tayfun, Karen & Brandon have been very welcoming and attentive throughout the move in process and during my 1st month here. Compared to other buildings Ive seen in the area it is very professionally run.
Ive been a resident here for several years. It was a great place to live up until about a year ago. Then their renovations started. The building is now filled with construction workers, filthy and unorganized. Just a few complaints to list...- Weve had construction crews in and out of the apartment for months.- When work is done in the apartment, they leave it a dusty mess - which we then have to clean.- Aside from my apartment being a dusty mess, the rest of the building is also a disgusting disaster now.- We awake to the crews yelling and cursing in the hallway every morning.- The crews doing the construction arent the kind of people you want in your home during the day when youre not home. The language we hear being yelled by these people on a daily basis is deplorable. Definitely not something you want to put up with when youre home. We were in an elevator with 2 of these people and had to endure racial and obscene language. It made us feel very uncomfortable.- The elevator situation is a JOKE and getting worse. The construction crews use the elevators all day. The lines that form to use the elevators are very long at times. This may sound petty, but its becoming a major inconvenience. Now the new phase of construction starting today is the elevator renovations. Only 1 elevator will be working at a time. So, well pretty much have to use the stairs for the foreseeable future.- The noise and people coming in and out have pretty much made it impossible to relax in your HOME.- The police have been at the building several times to deal with unruly residents. We no longer feel safe here.- I came home during the day a few weeks ago and there was the AC crew in my apartment. They decided it would be a good idea to lean the metal face of the AC unit against my TV. I could only imagine what else goes on in there when Im not home.- Their most recent phase of construction (balcony/brick work outside) was halted with no explanation. This happened to take place as they were in the middle of the work on my unit. So for about 3 weeks now, the outside portion of the AC unit shows that its started to be ripped out and theres debris all over my balcony. I guess thats just my problem until they decide they want to finish.- Workers have been catcalling female residents both in the building and on the streets. Management does NOT care about this. Disgusting.The list could continue.Neither Avalon Bay nor the buildings management care about residents. This is an absolutely terrible place to live. DO NOT RENT HERE.
The maintenance crew at the Avalon Towers make living here absolutely amazing. Kevin Dolgos has gone above and beyond every time we put in a maintenance request and its taken care in a timely professional matter.
Nice appearance but grossly understaffed. No relief for the front desk when they go on break so its often unoccupied (potentially unsafe) and there is just one handyman/porter for the entire building. Residents often realize this after they move in which is likely why the building is so transient.
I recently moved in and I love it here. The maintenance staff is always ready and willing to help out. I put in a work order and In no time things are repaired. The staff at the front desk is friendly and very helpful at all times. The front office is always available to answer any questions. I really give more than five stars.
Beautiful and so well organized place, gorgeous ocean view. Apartment itself is so convenient and love the people here. Thanks to Tayfun for the great management and Kevin, Jose and Andy for the fast and quick maintenance. Also concierge and security unbelievably helpful and professional, l am so glad to live here.
Karen Madden, one of concierge is the quintessential host!!!!! Besides being able to remember names, Karen has the innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and at home. I think this is a very unique trait for one to possess and I applaud her for it. I look forward to seeing her and her shining personality every day.
The building is right on the Atlantic Ocean. There is a beautiful Olympic size pool. There is an area right by the pool, where tenants could invite guests, or hold parties, or get-togethers. There is an overhanging in case of rain or inclement weather, one could still sit outside. There is a nice air conditioned and heated gym. There are indoor party rooms. There is indoor parking for your vehicles, at an extra charge. The apartments are spacious, with lots of room and beautiful views of the ocean, boardwalk, and beach. The lobby was just renovated. There are door people in the front lobby. All visitors have to be announced.
We are new tenants and couldnt be happier. The management team is outstanding. The building is beautiful and immaculate with a brand new gym. The pool is gorgeous as well. To top it off, I face the ocean!
As always, Andy to the rescue. Whatever the issue, Andy is on hand with a smile and total competence to handle the problem. It is a pleasure to know that he is always available to handle any problems that arise in the apartment. Andy is the best thing to have happened to Avalon!
I cant begin to say how terrible this building has become for tenants. They charge Manhattan prices but give literally NO services. Everything--but everything--that they advertise is broken. One elevator only most of the time for an 11 story building. Elevators are filthy as is the lobby. Air conditioning in the public spaces has been broken for a long time. Bathrooms and showers in the pool area broken for the second year in a row. Absolutely no work has been done to restore the building since the storm. No gym. No carwash. No lobby areas. Basically nothing--but the rents continue to rise. Virtually EVERY tenant is disgusted. The only thing that keeps anyone here is the proximity of the ocean, but that has worn thin. Dont believe anything they say. There are plenty of other buildings who actually provide service.

It seems that something is always breaking in the building, from the Garage Door that took 2 Weeks to fix, or the Hot Water, or a water Pipe that they needed to shut off the water for an entire afternoon., The night lights at the Pool have been broken since last year
We have the finest Concierge in the business. Karen Madden is part of the fabric of this community. She is warm, caring and takes great care of us.
The maintenance crew at Avalon is the best (Andy, Kevin, Jose, et al) They are prompt, efficient and take care of all our needs . Could not ask for a better staff
Since December the noise from the construction has.been so disturbing!!
This is paradise. The apartment is beautiful, I wake up to the ocean every morning. I thank my luck stars that I got this apartment, I am living the dream.

Maintenance staff is fantastic - had a plumbing issue and they responded within a half hour and took care of everything no questions asked.

2022-06-15I am a resident in the 10 West building in Long Beach, NY. Since Inland Residential took over this building from Avalon the building has gone way downhill. I have lived in this building for 6 years, the last two years are owned by Inland Residential and this company is garbage. The 1.5 star rating they have is even too much credit for them. They do not care about the residents at all. When Avalon owned this building it was a real luxurious building who deserved its 5 stars. I would never live in another property owned by this Inland Residential again, I suggest anyone looking should look elsewhere and not with this company. Do your research, they started with storage, and commercial buildings, and have only been doing residential buildings since around 2013 and they are doing a horrible job. All the reviews for their locations tell it how it is. Inland Residential is Garbage!

2022-03-31I had rented a 2 bedroom apartment here and really loved it here, but when the new owners came in things changed especially the rents.As for the Maintenance, it was ok when they were fully staffed, but that ended .

2018-10-05My husband and I moved into the Avalon one month ago, and our experience has been wonderful. Toni Weathers made the move-in and transition so smooth! Karen Madden and the entire concierge team are always so welcoming and helpful--Karen took the time to introduce us to many of the residents in the building. She is never too busy to answer any of our questions and is so helpful with neighborhood information. We cant say enough good things about the maintenance staff. From move-in day through the past month, Kevin, Andy, and Jose have addressed all of our service issues in a pleasant and professional manner. Everyone living at the Avalon seems to love it, and we can definitely see why thanks to the wonderful staff!

2019-06-24Avalon Towers is the most wonderful place to live. The staff here is outstanding. We have lived here for 15 years, and can’t say enough good things about the people who work here. The maintenance department is incredible! When there is a problem and you contact them, they respond almost instantly, and within a few hours the problem is fixed. Thank you Andy, Maurice and Jose. You are one of the main reasons why we love living here so much!We must also thank Karen, the front desk Concierge for her warmth and professionalism.She is fantastic!

2019-11-12I recently moved to AVALON TOWERS after living in a beautiful home for 30 years...My first experience in apartment living was meeting Karen, who is the daytime concierge...She has been nothing but sweet and kind and helpful and so conscientious to me and the community we live in . She is always there to open a door , help me with my packages, find my missing deliveries... I could not ask for a better concierge.I also have had such a wonderful experience dealing with Andy, the maintenance guy ...My first month in Avalon Towers I had numerous things that needed repairs and Andy was always Johnny on the spot ... He is always smiling, friendly and courteous... I appreciate that they have made me feel very at home in my new residence... They totally deserve 5 STARS ...

2019-08-31Great place to live. We were here for several years and left for two. Couldnt wait to get back. Long Beach is a great city and the Avalon is the place a fantastic place to live. Great amenities - pool, gym, coffee in the lobby, beautiful views, lots of activities, and easy access. Perhaps the best at the Avalon is the team - Michelle, Karen, Maurice, Jose and Andy are always there to help, take care of things quickly, and have a smile on their faces.

2021-09-14Major Pool Deck and Garage Construction and Disruption Upcoming Fall/Winter 2021/22. They put on a good first impression but then I learned that the rent and fees are high, older appliances have failed repeated repairs, communication and management are unprofessional and sub par. General lack of responsibility.

2021-01-14However Avalon Towers has been sold to an Organization known as 10 West, and as soon as the new owners took over things have gone Downhill and fast. The new people are unfortunately unqualified, and inept at whatever they seem to do.Every single month i find something wrong with my rent bill, and over charges.The maintenance has become very slow as the maintenance crew is under staffed.I live by myself in a One Bedroom apartment that is very nice, but I must rely on the maintenance department for helping me, but it has become a hassle. The front office won’t allow you to even enter the office because of the virus and I do not receive the service required .The amenities are all gone but the high charges remain.So I am very disappointed and not satisfied here as I was before they were sold.

2018-08-21Today I had a plumbing emergency in my apartment and I submitted a request for service. I was so pleased with the service provided by Jose Morales on the maintenance team. Jose addressed the problem and said he would come back to install a new part if the problem persisted. I have never lived in an apartment before, and it is so reassuring to know that if I encounter any problem, the maintenance team is reliable and helpful. Thanks so much, Jose!I called for help with my screen door, and Andy came up and repaired it within 10 minutes. The maintenance crew at the Avalon is fantastic! They are extremely responsive and thorough. Jose and Andy also repaired one of the doors on my bathroom medicine cabinet, and Kevin did an amazing job fixing a scratch in the dining room floor.I am extremely appreciative of the Avalon team!
