They definitely exceeded my expectations! I was expecting them to simply pick up my TV, China’s and other fragile items and load them onto the truck but the gentleman carefully packed and wrapped them in cloth before loading. Today our dream came true and we were blessed with the opportunity to move into our new home. I want to thank Rolo, Wei, Danyal, Xavier, Sam for being a part of our journey as new home owners. They moved us from our tiny city apartment in Yonkers to our new house in Orange County, New York. They arrived promptly and were very profesional and thorough. They made this experience an easy transition for my family and I. It was our first time using a moving company and I am so pleased that we chose “Half Price Movers”, Queens, New York location. I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend their company. Lastly, leaving reviews are normally not my thing which says a lot. (LOL) We will most definitely be using them in the future.
What a fantastic move experience! Everything was done very professionally and quickly. The COI came quick, the communication and confirmation happened very professionally, and the day of, the crew came on time and were ready to work. I got 5 fantastic guys, Jojit and crew (John, Mike, Io, and one more person whose name escapes me) and they were just stellar. Jojit was the quarterback and called the shots and everything was executed flawlessly. They moved my RIDICULOUSLY heavy couches with excellent care. When all was said and done, my move took about 5 hours and my floors and walls didnt suffer and dinks or scratches. Fantastic team! I would highly recommend them.
Jojit, awais and taj arrived before scheduled time very professional. They analyzed each item and made me aware of any damage already on furniture. They moved quickly and efficiently breaking down a recliner chair that could not fit through the door when arrived at the new location they took the time to put it back together and place each item where I needed it. Jojit, TJ, Taj, and Mike are like “The Avengers” when it comes to moving. My parents had to move temporarily at the last minute and these men were so polite, strategic, and patient with their wishes. We watched before our eyes extremely heavy furniture being lifted effortlessly, while “baby-ing” said furniture in a swaddle of blue blankets. You can rest assure that they will handle with care even the most basic of appliances and that they’re experts in assembling / disassembling. We could only make time on Memorial Day and they really helped us out. My mom said that they even asked her how she wanted the arrangements to be done. Great attention to detail, extremely outstanding service, and kind people. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND them on your next move.

TJ and his crew were great today. It was extremely hot, and they did a fast job moving us from Staten Italy to Strong Island. Id use these guys again in a heartbeat.
So, I didnt get the chance to use them as movers. I only called to get a quote and set up an appointment. When I spoke to the original woman, I asked for a Sunday in July and we agreed on the 24th, but in the email she put me down on the 21st. Although I called to have to scheduled correctly, and then asked for a re-quote as I knew 100% that some pieces I thought I was going to be moved were no longer necessary (and add one additional item), I was having some difficulty as the gentleman did not want to do it for me. But, he ended up doing so; if anyone is wondering, I asked to remove 20 boxes and add one 40-50 flat screen TV. He said they would just swap it out and the quote would remain the same. Not sure how 20 boxes can equate to one TV that doesnt need to be dismantled or anything.Aside from all that, I was going through my bank statement and saw a charge from 1/2 price movers for $50 (which is the correct deposit amount) and then one from 911 MOVE for $100 on June 20 2022. This is the same company, charging me $100 without my knowledge or permission. I called today, Saturday, and was told management handles that and they wont be in until Monday. I was not given an explanation, nor do I think I was given an apology. The girl didnt even sound surprised that it happened. I didnt get any email from them stating I was charged and extra $100 and if I didnt look thoroughly, they would have never informed me.Cant trust this company, so I cancelled my business with them.July 14th, 2022 UPDATE:A manager reached out to me Monday morning, with both a call and an email. She listened as I explained to her what happened on my end, and I told her I also wanted to cancel my move with them (even though she offered $50 off my quote for the inconvenience; this was generous, but I informed her that I got quotes from two other places that were going to charge me around $425, whereas they quoted me over $600, so Im not quite sure where the 1/2 price comes from). She was very nice and apologetic, and she also informed me that the girl who took my information and made the charges was new/still training. I understand it was an honest mistake, and because the numbers probably came out correct at the end of the night, no one noticed. All in all, I got my refund, but taking off one star because the quote was about $200 more than other places, even though I asked them to remove 20 boxes and add one 40-50 TV.
Tj, angel and thomas were excellent workers, perfect gentlemen that went far beyond to make the move smooth and worry free. We would love if each worker would get a nice raise. We would Iove to see them again after our home is finished. God Bless these young men for doing an extraordinary job !!

Mark T, Adam, and Sam moved us in today and did an amazing job. They went above and beyond. I kept trying to help and they wouldnt let me lift a finger. I called this moving company a few weeks ago to do a move in November. The price quote was reasonably affordable and the customer service was great. When the movers arrived from the Queen Team, they were very professional and knowledgeable about the process and expired the move safely and quick. I don’t usually write reviews, but these guys were so good, I felt I had to write one. Not only did Calvin, Wei and Thomas arrive early, they were also courteous, professional, polite and friendly. They took extraordinary care of our belongings. Everything was wrapped thoroughly and neatly and carried out carefully. They left no scratches or dents on walls, floors or the furniture. Everything was in perfect condition. We would absolutely call them again if we were moving or recommend them to family and friends. It was a very pleasant experience.
Half Price Movers in my opinion are the best. I was lucky to get this particular crew Calvin, WEI, Thomas and Rolo. They were exceptional, knowledgeable very careful with my furniture they treated my furniture as if it was the own.I felt comfortable to ask them any questions. When planning the move I spoke to several different companies, and right off the bat I knew I wanted to go with half priced movers. The team at the office was fantastic at walking me through the process. They set me up with a team to pack who packed our apartment and then came to move us out. Rolo, Calvin, Russ, and Tony were incredibly efficient in packing and worked quickly. When it came time to move, my husband and I were impressed at how well they did, considering all the obstacles in their way as renovations were still being done during the move in process. They handled an impossible situation with ease!

From the moment I called the office, I knew so made the right choice. The office staff were kind, professional and accommodating. They truly went above and beyond. I am grateful to the Linda, Kathleen, Catherine and the office crew for being awesome to work with.Our 3 movers were fantastic! They moved our 70+ year old piano with care and attention. I cant say enough of good things about this company and mostly, the movers Lamar, Rolo, Jogit, Sam, Mark t and Justin. These guys are amazing. They are hard workers, professional, caring and respectful. I moved from Brooklyn to N.J. This job was 14 hours . You cant imagine how much stuff a person can accumulate over 30+ years. Lol. The company has great prices and are reliable. Lamar was the leader and he made the entire process go very smoothly. At times, there were some issues, Lamar would call his supervisor at the office, and any issues would be resolved immediately . These guys have amazing strengths. They lift stuff up that most people cant even budge. Most importantly, they make sure not to damage your items and any structures during the move. My family and close friend have used 1/2 price movers this past year, and they all were very happy and satisfied. Just some pointers. If you live on a 1 way street, make sure to request the move date, when there is alternate side parking on your side of the block. Its a nightmare for these movers to have to block your street if they have no where to park. Its also very time consuming, if they have to keep driving the truck around your block to let cars pass. You will not be disappointed with this company. You can request the same movers I had. They cant guarantee that you will get them. Im sure all the movers are great. Good Luck

I called them on Friday and asked if they would be able to move furniture from the basement up one level on the main floor. They came on Saturday morning. Calvin, Wei, and Kevin helped us move from Queens to Jersey in early May. They were on-time, efficient, polite, and very carefully wrapped everything. It went smoothly at both locations with loading and unloading.Dealing with the company was also very efficient. As long as you give an accurate count of furniture and boxes, pricing was accurate. I ended up getting rid of some furniture and my price was reduced from the original quote. The guys did a walk-through and confirmed everything on the list upon arrival, and were transparent about tolls and final cost before departing the pickup location. Everything was written out and communicated clearly.Overall this was a great experience and saved us the headache of moving ourselves without breaking the bank.

Calvin, Wei and Karl helped with my move this morning and they were all fantastic. They let me know in advance when they would be arriving and they arrived right on time. They were very meticulous in making sure to transport my items with care. I had an item that was bigger than expected but they were very accommodating. There was no damage to any of my belongings during the move and I am very satisfied with the service.
I decided to use them after a thorough Google search of best movers in Queens because they had great reviews. 439 reviews and 5 stars for all sounded to good to be true, but was I wrong!! The reviews are very well deserved. They arrived right on time and called five minutes before arrival to let me know. From the moment I opened the door two of the three men immediately went to work while the third and I discussed payment and paperwork. I had a lot of stuff for a small 1br apartment, which includes numerous large items and furniture that needed to be disassembled and reassembled. They had me ready to go in my new space in 3 hours. The attention to detail, professionalism, and exceptional service were second to none. I have moved quite a few times and never had such a positive experience with a moving company. I hope I never move again, but if I ever do Ill never use any other moving service, and I will recommend 1/2 price to everyone I know thats moving. If you are moving do yourself a favor, dont try and price shop, just hire these guys. I promise you will not regret it.
From the very beginning this company showed me how professionals they are. I needed to move from Queens to Staten Island and the lady over the phone (her name is Christine) was able to guide me through all the info I have to provide in order to get a quote, she didn’t rush me or force me to anything and she was very clear with all the terms and policies of the company. She also help me to accommodate my request within the dates I gave her for my moving.Then the moving dates comes and I was assigned 3 great guys ( Calvin, Wei and Tony), very professionals and on time. They pack everything and installed all the furniture base on my needs; they were even able to fulfill a last minute request. Everything about my experience with 1/2 Price Movers—from scheduling the move over the phone with Linda to the actual move on 10-29-2021–was positive. The movers (Angel, Lamar, Sam, Rob and Nick) met me at the storage facility ahead of the scheduled time. They took care with my items and were courteous, professional and efficient. The only hiccup was that gps gave them the wrong directions from the storage facility to my house, which caused things to take longer. Great experience with 1/2 Price Movers Queens, especially Angel, Jojit, and Karl who were the movers who came to our apartment in Manhattan in May 2021. They disassembled a large TV cabinet and shelving unit, wrapped it carefully, and transported it to Brooklyn, where they reassembled it perfectly in another apartment. They were responsive, professional, and took all COVID precautions. They made sure to keep the space neat and tidy despite working with lots of moving pieces. We would definitely recommend this company and will gladly hire them again!
Lamar, awais, jojit, and Javi were amazing! Highly recommend!! We had some very delicate and heavy pieces including a traditional china cabinet, multiple tables, and couches. They wrapped everything perfectly and put it all into storage in tact. Moving day can be super stressful, but with the help of this amazing team it does not to be. Rolo, Tahj and Rob are the ones that came to do the move they were amazing very professional and knowledgeable on how to take apart the furniture and assemble it back in the new house very careful not to damage any furniture or walls and there were many tight spots. I moved for the 1st time from a 3 story walk up. I had no idea what it would take to move a 3 bedroom apartment to a private home. Im happy that I decided to go with half price movers. Working with Rolo, Tj, Angel and Victor Jr was a pleasure. They handled all my belongings and furniture with kit gloves. They arrived on time, were in constant communication with me throughout the day, working as a team until all of my items were moved. Amazing staff worked 16 hours and they were as professional as they come. These are the guys you should request who did this amazing job. Which could have been a simple misunderstanding in my case. The work they did was 1st class, very good people to deal with otherwise.

Second time using 1/2 price movers and I’m just as satisfied as the first! Boy do they make moving easy, even into and out of my four story walk up! Calvin, Daryl, and Adil did an excellent job and were friendly and professional. They disassembled my bed and put it back together again, helped me dispose of unwanted furniture, put things in my basement, and put everything down exactly where I told them. All very quick and efficiently, the move was done in about two and half hours! I even received a significant discount as there was a complication on my original move-in date and we were forced to reschedule. The company provided my building with a certificate of liability and was always available via phone for the entire duration of my move. Additionally, I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe around them, which is important to me as young girl moving alone and inviting strangers into my home. The wore masks the whole time as well. Really really happy with the service, would recommend to friends and will probably use again for my next move.

Crew showed up very late the day of our move and we missed our elevator reservation. They also did damage to the walls in our buildings hallways while moving things. That said, things happen and we were willing to look past it.What we cannot look past is the fact that they ruined our $2.5K entertainment center (deeply scratched the wood and door is unhinged) and $1.3K bedframe (stripped all the screws/bolts due to shoddy, hasty breakdown and re-assembly).Really disappointing experience overall. Would recommend paying a bit more for your move to ensure a more professional, seamless experience.

I highly recommend this moving company. They gave me a reasonable quote since I requested for 2 drop off locations. The movers arrived with 2 vans which made the entire move seamless. Calvin and the rest of the crew (Daryl and Bryan) sorted out my belongings, taped it and used blankets to avoid scratches to my equipment and furniture. I can’t believe how smooth my move from NY to NJ was. I’ve moved quite a few times over the years, and this experience by far, has been the easiest and most pleasant. My team consisted of Calvin, Thomas, Rolo, Daryl and Adill with two vans. They even arrived 10 min earlier than the scheduled time. My one bed room apartment was effectively and meticulously disassembled, padded and wrapped in ONE HOUR. They were super careful to make sure all my stuff was protected and were very conscientious about preventing any damage to the building. The unloading/unpacking to the new place took less than 45 min!! I still can’t believe how efficient they were. It was worth every single penny and I would use 1/2 price movers again in a heartbeat!! (Lol with the same exact team if possible!) I can’t thank you enough for making this stressful situation easy!
1/2 price movers really moves fast and their team is very efficient. We recently moved locally from a 1 bedroom and it was our first big move so we decided on 1/2 price because of the affordable rates. Our movers were Victor, Lemar, Adelle, Ronnie, and Rolo. They arrived on time and made things easier on a very stressful day. Our total amount of boxes/items came out to be more than the estimate so there was some last minute packing. The team informed us ahead of time that these charges would be paid for with cash, so we made sure to have cash on hand including tip. Everything was done in about 5 hours, not including a lunch break. Everyone was professional and helpful. They were able to take apart and rebuild our bedframe, and no furniture got damaged in the packing/moving process. We hope to stay in our new place for a while but when the time comes again to relocate, we will consider using 1/2 price again!

The whole process was very seamless from booking the move (with Christine who was great!) and then when Calvin arrived with the team, I knew I was in good hands. They were absolutely amazing! This was the first time I’ve had to move in New York without help from my parents/my car as I’m new to the city and I’d been dreading the possibility of ever having to move everything on my own. I got one week’s notice from my landlord that I had to find a new place and they were able to add me onto the schedule for the next Friday. Monday comes around and my landlord tells me I have to be out by noon the next day or I’ll be charged $450 for staying past the first. Ed was able to reschedule my move to Tuesday (the next day) with less than 24hrs notice.Calvin, Marc T, and Victor Jr. got to my apartment first thing in the morning (and 10 minutes early at that), asked what needed to be moved, and got right to it. They even offered to move my TV for me even though it counted as furniture and not a box. All in all, the move took less than 2 hours and half an hour of that was spent looking for my keys before we left the first apartment (they didn’t rush me and told me they’d wait before leaving). Very sweet guys, worked quickly, and made the whole process so much smoother and easier than I anticipated. I’ll definitely book with 1/2 Price Movers again the next time I have to move and I’d highly recommend them to anyone else that needs help moving at an affordable price.

I was really hesitant to hire movers, as usually my husband does all the heavy lifting with his brother when we move, but my mom needed to move from one 2nd floor apartment to another and we were willing to pay for the convenience of professionals this time around. It was really only the big items we needed moved, because she was moving maybe two blocks away from her current apartment, but it was worth what we paid. Emilio and Mark were so professional and kind. They were quick and efficient at both packing up the truck and unloading into the new place. I was planning a move about a week out and did a good amount of research on companies in the area. 1/2 price was one of the only companies that could give me a flat dollar price of how much it would cost over the phone and their price beat every other quote by about 30%. Come the day of the move, my movers (Calvin, Wei, and Taj) were on time, professional, and fast. I was surprised by the on time part because, most movers I’ve had before were usually about an hour late but, these guys were 10 minutes early even. After moving items out of storage, we arrived at the building to move the items in and the front desk informed us that we would be unexpectedly delayed by an hour. Calvin, Wei, and Taj were very patient and professional, even with additional wait time and got thing moved in rapidly once we were given the go ahead. The only downside I had with the move overall was that the company couldn’t tell me my exact move in time until the day before the move. That made it a little difficult to plan for but, prior they had given me a rough idea of when it would be, which was somewhat helpful. All-in-all, this was, by far, the best moving company I’ve ever used and they offered, by far, the best price. I’ll be recommending their services to all my friends anytime they’ve got an upcoming move.

This is the cheapest place you’ll find yet the best quality work out of all movers in the 5 boroughs. Calvin and his crew were very well mannered and very efficient. Don’t look any other way when looking for movers, 1/2 priced movers are the best possible solution to your moving needs.
Lamar, Rolo, Victor, Mark T, Danyal moved us this morning and it was amazing! They arrived early, they were kind and so fast! I can’t believe how amazingly easy they made this move so wonderful!!!! I will not hesitate to use them again!
Prompt, careful and professional. Calvin, Kevin and Victor Jr handled my belongings with care. Wrapped everything up with blankets and tape insuring that my items would not be damaged. Transported everything safely from NY to NJ and place all my items where I wanted them. Would definitely use them again. I highly recommend them for your move.
Before contacting 1/2 Price Movers, I had asked for quotes from other moving companies. Most of them told me that it’s a 4 hour service (price is a little less expensive than what 1/2 Price Movers charges), but that includes the travel time & of course, we’ll get charged if we go over the 4 hour mark. I was like ~ nah, this ain’t gonna work.So I came across 1/2 Price Movers & contacted them. Lamar & the boys (Jojo, Emilio, Daryl the Boss & another guy) were every professional. They arrived on time & gave us the courtesy call when they were about to leave their office so we can have an ETA. They were very careful in wrapping & moving the furnitures in & out of the truck. I like the way they ask us where the furnitures are going to be placed. They all wore masks at the time of service.We’re glad that we used 1/2 Price Movers to help us out! I would definitely recommend them & use them again in the future.
My family and I were extremely pleased to entrust 1/2 Price Movers Queens with the relocation to our new home. We were told there would be 3 movers, but were pleasantly surprised to see 5 when they arrived - on time! This specific team - Jacob, Chris, Tahj, Mike and Thomas - was professional, skilled, organized, courteous, flexible, patient and friendly. I seriously could not have been more impressed! This moving company is incredible!!!! I was panicking when it came to moving and they made it sooo easy! I highly recommend half price movers. From the first phone contact w Christine to inquire about the companys services and fees to moving day, I was immediately impressed w their professional manner. Chris (not same as Christine) led and coordinated the team: Calvin, Kevin and Emilio. They were polite, worked well together and careful. My belongings and furniture were in great hands! Amazing experience with these guys. From great customer service over the phone with answering all my questions to the actual moving day! Moving is a daunting task for anybody, but these guys made it seamless. They were not only on time, but even showed up a little early. Nothing was broken, damaged, or lost during the move. They also communicated very well. The landlord was even late to let us into the new apartment, but these guys still got the job done in a professional manner. Thanks so much! I called up and scheduled a packing and a move. I was downsizing from a house to a studio. They came for the packing the day before. Very professional and care for my glass items. The next day was the move just like the day before they called to let me know they were going to arrive soon. They took great care of wrapping and taking down the Tv from the wall. I want to thank the movers & the packers (Rolo , Emilio, Thomas and Karl) for their great service. I highly recommend this company and their workers.

The movers Mark R, Jojit, Gomer, John, and Amir were fantastic. An 11 hour job and they were professional, on time, efficient, kind, and most of all, they moved all items with extreme spacial intelligence. All the objects were wrapped and protected. They lifted heavy furniture beautifully. An enjoyable experience.

1/2 price Mover are very professional. They arrived on time and were very careful with our belongings and made sure everything goes where it belongs. The price was literally half compared to 2 other quotes I got from 2 local companies. They followed CDC guidelines upon moving my stuff.I would definitely recommend 1/2 movers. 5/5 stars

2022-01-15I filled out the request online to get a quote. I was contacted by Christine, she was very polite and friendly. We went over the details and pricing I decide to booked them for my move. The morning of the move my delivery guys called me a half hour before saying they’re on the way. My movers were Jojit, John, and Mark, the move went very smoothly and quick. They were great, friendly, polite, and hard working. Glad I pick them for my move. I definitely recommend this company.

2022-03-04I moved my elderly parents in late February, snow and rain was expected and 1/2 Price Movers showed up on time as promised. The crew included Lamar, Adam, Awais, Tahj and Bernard. They moved a whole house full of furniture with ease, and they were extremely efficient, friendly and professional. They wrapped all the fragile furniture and glass picture frames, disassembled and reassembled hard to manage furniture and didnt rush or break anything. And the best part, they were inexpensive and reliable. I was extremely happy with their performance and would definitely recommend them to everyone. 2021-09-24Beyond impressed with the work ethic, professionalism, and detailed work of this crew. Sam, Mark R, Johnathan, Havi, and Toni all worked their tails off to make sure our furniture and goods all made it safely from Queens to New Jersey. If you’re looking for some guys who take their job seriously and put their customers first I strongly recommend them. They also asked several times how we wanted things placed in order to keep us from doing extra work. Again I can’t say enough great things about them.

So far, we have had 2 experiences with this company. Both were excellent! No gimmicks, no added costs at the end, no time restraints.
