My bad experience was like the others. Booked using an app for discount. Left the keys and the car. When I came back they said we checked in 4 minutes ahead of our appointment so they wouldnt give the car back unless we paid $26 additional dollars. Avoid this place and dont use Bestparking app. Bait and switch scam
I booked the parking through ParkWhiz and the price was $20 for 3 hours. When I arrive, they told me that i will be charged extra $15 for oversized car. My car is standard size (Nissan Rouge) and I have never been charged oversize fee before.
Same experience as the customer below. the attendant wanted me to pay extra because I arrived 9 minutes earlier than my reservation time. He said “he didn’t recognize me” I guess it’s ok as long as he knows you. What? How do you run a business like that? I can’t say about the rest of attendants in that garage but there’s one in particular that is very nasty and I had the displeasure of dealing with him twice now. They lost my business. I found another place on the next block.
Worst ever. Before posting it, Ive read all the previous, and my experience is just the usual thing here. This people overcharge. True the app, and then they just keep adding. Next time I would rather take a chance to get a street parking ticket. Would be way cheaper.
Whatever you do please stay away from this place, theyre not only incredibly nasty but also they increased the price when I came to get the car and told me I couldnt get it back until after. There are plenty of other garages in the area. You can do better.
Damaged my car several times and now they have refused to allow me to park when I asked for them to pay for my repairs.
One of the friendliest teams working in a garage on the UWS. My choice when I need a place to out the car for a day or night.

Dont use their service, its real theft. We paid $85 through spothero and showed him the app. and they never honored everything and asked us to pay a second time or $140 to give us our keys. PAY ATTENTION. I called the service and they dont want to know anything.

2022-03-23I have parked my Ford Mustang Mach-E vehicle at Select Garages (274 W 81st St Parking). The attendant proceeded to illegally charge me $15 extra because my vehicle was electric. He pointed to a sign that says Tesla vehicles $15 additional. I proceeded to tell him its not a Tesla but a Ford; he argued that its electric so same thing. Good luck dealing with these grumpy, nasty, underpaid attendants who only work there to extort you. This business should be investigated by NYC. Attendant would not give me keys to my car unless I paid.

2022-03-20Parking in the city is never an enjoyable experience, but this garage has found a way to make it a million times worse. They do not honor SpotHero reservations, will ignore you, and if they do acknowledge you, will be incredibly rude. AVOID at all costs.

2022-04-17Chaos. I reserved a space on SpotHero and paid for it. They didn’t honor it. Said my minivan—just an average Toyota Sienna—was too big. The driveway is just a swarm of angry customers.

2022-05-11This garage is probably the worst in NYC. I paid for 3 hours of parking through SpotHero app $31.75, I show up this really RUDE Parking attendant tells me he doesn’t have space, I let him know I already paid, he said he doesn’t care. Three cars leave as I’m telling him I need him to cancel my appointment, he then tell me I need to pay an additional $15 if I want to park. I’ve parked at this garage at least 3 other times and I NEVER had to pay anything additional. NEVER AGAIN!!!

2022-05-08Same experience as the others. Had reservation with Spothero. When we picked up the car they caused us of having lied to them because we said that we only park for one hour (which we did not, book 24h for a reason…). Glad we got our car back but bad experience

2022-01-30I paid with my debit card and my card went through and then they told me that it didn’t go through on there end and that the money would be back in my account shortly!! I argued and they wouldn’t give me my car til I paid again!! It’s been 6days and my money is still not back in my account!!! I have been parking there for 4 months and never had a problem til this and then the guy told me I’m not allowed to park there anymore bc I’m the problem!! I’ll be back there this coming week looking for my money!!! Seems like they scam everyone but someone has to step up to them!!!

2021-05-15I paid $30 to park here on spot hero. They took my reservation, after I came back for my car, they refused to let me have my car until I paid them $15 because the roof rack on my car made it “oversized”. I drive a Mazda 3, the roof rack makes my car maybe 5.5 feet tall total. What a rip off. Only park here if you know that it actually costs $15 more than you already paid.

2021-09-19They charged us when we ALREADY paid on spot hero. So we paid on spot hero AND to the garage. They won’t refund their mistake and were not nice about it. Suggest using a garage with nicer attendants.

2022-03-20Complete rip-off $15 daily fee for model 3 - that’s 30 dollars if u stay overnight cause they count each day - stay away- dishonest on ParkWhiz abs other apps
