Let the grandkids give it a try with their dad. Took the time to talk with the manager and found him to be quite pleasant and fun to talk to. His staff were on the ball when it came to rules for covid and the interaction with customers. Worth while to spend time there if you like puzzles to solve. A little expensive yet worth it.
This place is way too expensive. I paid 77 dollars for just 2 people and we played the puzzle games for a just a little over 15 mins. They started our mission late and our guide had little to no energy when introducing the stage. The puzzles themselves were fun but the timings were off. Not worth the money, I suggest you going to an actual escape room. They claim to be better than an escape room but it could actually not be farther from the truth.
There were lasers at the beginning of the Espionage challenge. Apparently, we were supposed to dodge the lasers. We had an extremely difficult time seeing them because the smoke/ fog wasnt working. Additionally, the large fan inside that was supposed to be turning didnt work.
The first person that we spoke to told us that only one person had to go in, so we gave our daughter the money to go in and then they charged us for two people. Come to find out you have to have two people to go in. So 30 something turned into 60 something. Cooool. The room itself was a lot of fun for her but she said the people behind her were shoving her along, so they could play and she didnt get to figure out the mystery. So all that money wasted. Maybe dont go when theres other people there? She was pretty disappointed.
We went to 5 Wits for part of a bachelorette party and completed three of the four possible adventures. We had a BLAST. It was so much fun, and I cant wait to try more! The space one was the best out of the three we tried. The employees were very friendly and helpful.
Lot of fun for all ages that are active. If you already like escape rooms and you enjoy puzzles, this is the thing for you. It tells a story with challenges to complete that are a lot of fun and not as simple as putting the circle punch into the square hole. Staff really gets into it which is really nice for the experience. 5 stars all around. Would do again.
Lots of fun. Some of the puzzles are genuinely difficult, even for adults, but most are fairly simple. The deal to buy all 4 tokens for one price was a steal. This is fun for all ages and the effects within the experiences were well designed and really immersed you in the stories. It took the better part of an afternoon to go through all 4 stories, and it says there are branching storyline.
We had 10 kids for a birthday (6-11) and two adults. Our host great! We arrived, we were taken right into our party room. We opted for the basic package with drinks. (they offer pizza pkg and supreme pkg). You can choose to have the party room before during or after your experience. We choose to have it after. The kids did two of the four experiences that Syracuse location offers (Adult chaperones went as well) All 12 of us fit into the rooms fine. Although I would split the groups up after having been in a room with 10 chiefs and no Indians! :) The tomb was a bit scary for the six year old. The others didnt mind it at all. We also did Espionage which proved to be to hard on this group. We were led back to the room at the end of the adventure where we had the celebration part of the party. Everything went smooth and in a timely fashion. Our host was great, patient and smiling the entire time! We would definitely return with a party again and gladly recommend it to others!
Ive been at least 6 times, had a blast each time. Half the time I took my kids, the other with relatives in from out of town. There are different adventures- Deep Space (my personal favorite), Dragos Castle, Espionage and Tomb. They are interactive puzzle solving rooms, figure it out or not you still advance. Very detail orientated, very imaginative. You cant not have fun here.
Super fun! More directed and more physical than escape rooms but still tests your mind. The only reason its not 5 stars is once youve gone once there isnt really much else to do. The rooms are great but the novelty wears off once youve done them all. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.
Great time, these escape rooms are somewhat challeneging for the average person but fun nonetheless. The rooms vary in difficulty. They arent the cheapest but they are worth every penny. I will be coming back to go through the rooms again, I have to beat my scores! Youll have a great time doing them solo or with a large group.
This place was a lot of fun. Currently 4 different escape rooms are offered with vastly different themes. None of the puzzles were repeated from room to room. The staff was incredibly friendly. There is also a level of replay availbe in the rooms as you try yo beat your previous score or time, or try to find the secrets available in each location. Each room take a about 30 minutes. Tickets range from 18 for 1 room or 30 for all 4 rooms. Definitely a great place for parties, families or friends.
This place is incredible. So much fun to do each adventure and the staff is fantastic. Buy all 4, its the best deal and you can come back to do them later. The thing I was most impressed by is the superb production quality. It really felt like an attraction at a mega theme park, like Universal Studios. Cant wait to go back!
To start, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. They stay in character and seem generally interested in making sure you enjoy the experience at all times. The place is clean and looks taken care of. The activities are fun, challenging and offer some excitement. Weve done 3 of the 4 adventures so far. I plan to do them all and then repeat!
Very fun and challenging team building activity.Weve been here several times and the experience never disappoints. My only negative about this location is that I believe the manager Rob should work more on his approach, delivery, and situational awareness in a more professional manner.
Have you ever wished that you could be trapped in an Egyptian pyramid or Medieval castle and the only way out is to figure out a few puzzles? If so, this is definitely the place for you. It is a pretty enjoyable place, perhaps a tad on the scary side for younger children but for 10 and up this is a great family/group activity.
Really fun for the family but a bit expensive. My family ages 6-38 were able to handle the rooms. We did two of the four rooms. We were in the room with another family and it took my 6 and 9 year old to help the other family figure out one of the puzzles! Each room takes about 30 minutes. The more rooms you purchase the cheaper per room it becomes.
$29 dollars per person is ridiculously expensive as if they dont use up the same resources by running the room for one person than you do for a group. Price should drop per size of group. Ive luckily got to do all the themes before the outrageous price hikes. I dont see this business lasting to long
Weve been to 5Wits a couple of times. Its fun, but definitely not worth the $20-per-ticket price tag. We solved our puzzle in about 20 minutes, and I paid for five tickets. Thats $100 for 20 minutes of entertainment. To put that into perspective, it would have cost half as much to go to the movies, where wed have been entertained for two hours. Overall, the story was fine, though the acting was pretty silly. It was too hokey to be immersive. If youve got lots of spendable cash, its fun. But you might find yourself wishing youd spent your money elsewhere.
A continuous nonstop adventure you and your friends can enjoy, solve, and create new memories! 5 Wits offers great puzzles to solve which are themed around Egypt, Space, and more. Get a jumpstart into a new adventure today and experience something like never before! A gift shop area is also provided within the store. The staff are apart of the games and make the experience more real/fun for all ages. I highly suggest trying this out if you have not before. You will not regret it!
Worth going just for the enthusiasm from the employees. These people love their jobs, and I cant blame them! Either that or theyre all great actors.Either way, if you enjoy puzzles, are looking for a team building exercise, or a great spot for a date, look no further!
This was a really fun experience for two adults (25). Youre thrown into a well put together world and you have to figure out what to do. My only complaint would be the space mission was really really loud, and hints are given a bit too soon. Otherwise its totally worth a visit (hint, take advantage of their buy one get one deal when you go to certain restaurants in the mall, it makes it significantly cheaper, $30 for two people for all four adventures)
You have to be lucky or show up at the right time to have a decent experience without paying a high premium.Rather than queue groups, the staff will try to group up to 12 random people into one puzzle area. Theyll have you enter into the back area with your own group -- wait a few moments -- and then send ANOTHER group in behind you. It feels very deceptive. Why is this a problem? The puzzles themselves are amusing and mostly fun, but most are designed for groups of 4 or 5 and you generally want to *win* the puzzle. If youre grouped up with a bunch of kids or a large group it turns into a zoo. We turned around and got a refund after we got grouped up with a family and their kids -- we didnt want to spoil the fun for them as a bunch of strangers took over the controls. With large groups several people will have to sit out on puzzles or watch someone else complete the puzzle. Boring, not fun, and certainly not worth the price at that point. They offer a private pass, but the price is outrageously high. Youre charged an extra $7 per person -- easily doubling whatever price you paid to begin with. Insane. The staff was fortunately understanding of our situation and were quite pleasant. I wish they were more upfront on how the queueing works. In summary: I would avoid unless you have a larger group of friends or family... or youre willing to pay double the entrance price for a private session.
Went here with my boyfriend for our date and tried out one. It was pretty fun though somethings didny work as well as expected. Like when we had to reflect a light but it wasnt reflecting well off the tiles so it took a while just too get it too work. Even with the little things I still really loved it . I wouldnt take our kids here though just bc I can see mine getting really scared from being shut in a dark room, even with us right with them. I would glady do another room with my love! We were there earlier in the day so there wasnt a lot if people and we did have much of a wait.
Immersive, thrilling, challenging, and most of all, a total blast. This is the closest you can come to experiencing a real-life movie-style adventure to date. The sets are film-quality, the staff is friendly, and the prices arent terrible for what youre getting. Ive heard 5 Wits described as the Disney World of escape rooms, and this could not be closer to the truth. These are essentially escape the room interactive experiences with amusement park levels of quality and budget behind them. Fantastic fun, and great for families and groups of friends. Heres a tip: try to go midday on a weekday or right before closing. This will give your group a better chance of experiencing your adventure(s) of choice without being combined with other groups. 5/5.
This is a fun place for parents and kids. The spaceship quest is reminiscent of the game PORTAL. The mummy quest is fun and not for the faint of heart, I really was panicking when the ceiling was coming down to crush us. Volume levels and difficulty of puzzles are my only complaints aside from pricing.
5 Wits is an amazingly fun place to go. Even after playing all four adventures many times myself, Ive brought my friends and family through as well! Hell, Id even go again now.If you go, buy all four tickets at once. They dont expire and costs less than buying them four separate times.
I took my 5 year old son. It was challenging as a first timer/adult. Instructions for puzzles were tricky. I apparently sucked because i got a lot of hints to help me along the way. We did the castle one. The end was hard but scary and exciting for my son. Def plan to do this again.
I would have given 5 wits a 5 star if only they would make it more younger kicks a** pull my sons 8 years old yeah he had fun but I think he could a had a lot more fun if they could I take in the age group down just a little bet or even make the exhibits change every time you go back
Working with Tia in Group Sales was an effortless and positive experience. She explained everything well and helped accommodate the needs of my event. The staff at 5 Wits Syracuse was also very helpful and accommodating. Not only are the adventures fun and exciting, working with the staff is a pleasure. Win-Win!
5 Wits creates a very immersive experience. Our group was three adults and two kids, 10 and 8, and we had a great time. The puzzles were hard enough to be challenging but, in most cases, not so hard as to be discouraging. We did the “Dragon’s Castle” and “Deep Space” adventures. Both were great. The best deal is to buy all four adventures as the price after the initial adventure is greatly reduced.Bottom line: We would, and probably will, return.
Amazing place, kind of like a live action game. You can go up against, mummies, dragons, spies, and aliens. It is hard to explain, but trust me experience this for yourself. It is worth the price of admission.UNCLE GERRYS TIP: Buy all the different quests at the same time its much cheaper and you can come back and play them at different times as long as its in the same day.
This would be good for younger audiences or people who are slower with the objects and riddles and such but for young adults it was a let down because we wanted it to be more challenging for the price we were paying. Great quality of the props and such though; but you could see the wear on some items so you knew wear to push/touch
Five Wits is basically an escape room type game that is heavy on the audio/video content and features very elaborate props and environments. Because of these elements the games are quite immersive--players are surrounded by the sights and sounds of the intended environment and cant help but feel engaged. The puzzles do tend to be a little on the simple side but are engaging enough to be fun for adults and teenagers. Of course, like an escape room, once a participant has completed a scenario they really cant play again since they know all the solutions.
Came in last night with my friends to buy a water, but was convinced by an extremely attractive, green-eyed, beautiful bearded staff member named Brian to try an adventure. We did Deep Space, and had way more fun than we thought we would. Will definitely be returning to try the other ones (and hopefully see that gorgeous lumberjack again).
High production value and very entertaining. Has the feel of an interactive Disney or Universal Studios ride. We played the Espionage and Dragos rooms, each took about 30 minutes. Haylee was very accommodating and helpful (and super cute, too bad I dont live in NY or I wouldve asked her out). Oh yeah, dont get the astronaut ice cream that they sell in the lobby, its pretty gross.
Never had a bad experience until today. Due to medical issues, I sometimes have issues and have had to exit early in the past. For this reason I can’t be grouped with strangers. Today after explaining my situation to an employee I was met with an eye roll but said it was possible. After an hour of waiting we were herded in with a group despite my situation and tears.HOWEVER the manager, John, was amazingly helpful and MORE than accommodating. I will return because of the excellent management and (usually) accommodating employees.Without the manager this would easily have been a one star day.
The best 5 wits out there, with four of the five Adventures available, and reasonably priced, this is absolutely one of the best things in Destiny USA, if you happen to be in the mall and have some time to spend, definitely check this location out you will not be disappointed.
Amazing staff. Immersive, intellectually challenging and imaginitive. I hope to see one of these in a town near me. There is only one problem; I have become addicted to the immersive gaming experience. The real world seems dull comparatively. This lead to strife in my marriage as I spent all our savings here. Amazing place, but dont let it consume you.

2021-10-17Unique family activity that everyone in our group of 6 of all different ages enjoyed. The challenges were fun and not too hard and the different rooms were really done up well. It is a little pricey for only about 25 - 30 minutes. They do offer a half off special if you purchase another experience the same day but we werent able to take advantage of that for that day. Would be nice if they offered something like that if you came back within 30 days or something similar for a return visit. Would likely only go back again for a special birthday or get together of family from out of town due to price but overall a fun thing to do occasionally.

2022-03-22My daughter and I had such a fun time solving the puzzles. I have done an escape room in the past but enjoyed this so much more. We struggled, worked together and solved the puzzles to save the day! It felt like it was over so quickly but it took us 27 minutes so time goes by quicker than you think as you try to get the puzzles solved. I definitely recommend!

2022-05-31Came with a group of friends for my birthday, I bought their pizza party package. Our party host was great he made sure our needs were meet and keep us updated on our next room. We did both the spy room and the deep space, both were fun. This place is perfect for all ages and a great place to have a birthday.

2022-06-28Between the mirror maze and the puzzle rooms, we had a really great time. Challenging enough not to be boring, but easy enough so that its not frustrating. Highly recommend it.

2022-06-04Fun time. Little pricey. $75 for all four escape rooms. But, we got a kick out of the rooms. We opted to only do two out of the four. $29 for first one, then half off the others youd like to do. Or, all 4 for $75. Takes about a half hour each one.

2022-05-20This was my first time here and I went with friends. We did the Espionage room. It was interesting for someone who has never been or even done anything like that before. I highly recommend this place. Staff is very friendly.

2022-06-25The wizards apprentice who got us started did a great job, the only way it could have improved is if he wore a costume (I know its not always feasible, just an observation)./ The sets and props are in decent shape, and sturdy (we climbed on some of them as part of solving the puzzles!). My kids (12yrs and 18yrs) had a great time solving the puzzles together. The only not-so-great thing is the narrator voiceover is quite loud. Good family entertainment, Id call it for kids 8+.
