My wheel was loosing air. Looked over the entire tire and found a nail on the tread. I bring it to this shop. The employee takes my tire into the shop out of my view. He calls me into the shop and shows me a screw on the edge of the tire that is considered unrepairable. He says I need to replace the entire tire. I look over and recognize the owner. He speaks Spanish to the employee and patches it the best he can but I still need a new tire. I get home and find that the original nail is still there and I still have a slow leak. Never going back to 67 Street Tire Shop again. Add me to the growing list of people who got tricked with the You have a nail/screw on the sidewall scam
Great experience. I had a flat tire but the tire was stuck and would not come off so I had to have my car towed to them. They immediately got to work with some kind of solution and a mallet, got the tire off. They showed me the hole and the tear in the tire which ment I had to buy a new tire. But they got the exact same tire I had on the car so by the time I paid for the new tire my car was ready and waiting. Spent way more than expected but got good results.
The worst place ever, they are a bunch of rip offs/ scammer. They take your tire out of view , and slice it, and say you need a new tire. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! WORST SERVICE/ PLACE EVER! DO NOT WASTE TOUR TIME WITH THEM TAKE YOU MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! THEY ARE PATHETIC!!
I had a slow leak with one of the tires. I had them checked it out. When the guy dip the tire into the water, air was bubbling out of the side heavily. I was shocked. At the time, I was glad to have it changed, along with the other 3 tires as they recommended because I was going on a long trip. After reading the other reviews, I strongly believe they stabbed my tire. For one thing the air was coming out too strong to be a slow leak. For another, I sprayed that tire with soap couple days before and I wasnt able to locate the leak because it was small. I would never go to this place again.
Went in early this morning to get in my tire. Expressed I was not sure what tire it was because light doesn’t let me know. Attendant was very unkind, told me to be quiet and let him do his job. I have been here once before and he tried to overcharge me for a new tire. Maybe it was early to show curtsy to a customer: I was tempted to leave nothing when he said whatever I want today. But did not because I’m not rude.
This is a scam operation, just don’t go there. I got a nail on my tire and the guy said I have to change the tire cause it’s not fixable, I had two options either to buy a new one for $145 or a used one for $80. Then I said “I don’t want this, just put my tire back I’ll give you $5 for it and I want to go some where else”. Then he said “ maybe I can fix it, do you want to try?” And eventually it’s fixed for $25 witch is way higher then other places around. Please save your time and money and emotion just go somewhere else, with better ratings. Peace!!!!!!!!!!
DON’T COME HERE!They’ll scam you( raise the price so that you can “negotiate” it to a price they actually want you to buy it for.) poke holes in your tire while they “check” your other tires that are already fine and no need to check. Changed 2 tires, both had leaks and a nail, inside a week of changing it. They won’t let you see the tire and go on to change it fast.Fraud. Save your money. Go somewhere else.
AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID !Never coming to this place ever again. I simply went to get a simple plug for my tire. At first the guy told me it would be about $20 flat to fix it. Sounded good to me so I decided to do it . 5 minutes passes and one guy comes out and says their is 3 nails in my tire. I found it weird since I checked the day before and there was only one leak. After them telling me that I would have to get a new tire, they tried to charge me 240 for a pair of goodwill tires. I laughed because I thought it was a joke. After realizing they actually wanted that I told themTo just plug the tire. They waited another 5 minutes and came back and told me that the tire is basically done and that I wouldn’t be able to drive on it again . So he “gave me a deal “ of paying $180 to put in the new tire. I only paid the price because I had work at 2 and didnt want to fight with these guys anymore...
DO NOT GO HEREAs others have said below, this place is a scam. I came in there to get a patch because I inspected my tire when I put on the spare. I turned away from one second and suddenly theres a big gash on the tire. I wish I told them to just put the tire back in my car and go to a more reputable place, but this was before I saw the reviews (my mistake). Also, it turns out they broke my tire pressure sensor which caused me more headache. This place is a scam.
Adding to the reviews that this place is a total SCAM. I had two flat tires within 2 days of each other. The first one had a small nail embedded in it and i went to 67th Street Tire shop to get it fixed but the guys there said it wasnt fixable and charged me $160 for a new tire. The second had a BIGGER nail embedded in it and I went to 11th Ave Tire Shop and the guys there fixed it for $20! Do not waste your time and money going to 67th Street Tire Shop
I had a flat tire. I live close by so I thought of giving them a chance but guess what Im pretty sure I noticed them poking holes in my other tires. Their excuse was checking if the other tires have any leaks. It was how they check they said. Next day my perfect tires I changed last month at another tire shop that I been going for years started leaking day after. Never going here again. Also reading other reviews doesnt surprise me. I dont see them being very busy at all. Probably poke holes to make business.
I had a slow leak on one of the tire. I had it checked it out. When I walked into store the air was bubbling out of the side (they tried to sell me a new tire). Which didn’t make sense because it would go low (24 psi) after about a month or so after I fill up with air my tire pressure sensor was also damaged in the process (they tried to sell me a replacement) I blame myself for this because I normally would keep an eye out while they are working on tires. Though it’s difficult to prove I strongly believe that the damage to the tire and sensor was intentional.
Fast service, no appointments needed, these guys work quick. i see other people have negative experiences with them, but my experience was good, and actually referred my friends to go to this place.if you only get one tire, they charge you for $190, thats pretty much industry standard, selling one tire gets them almost no profit, but one thing you gotta do is, you must haggle
This tire shop deliberately took advantage of my grandfather. He had a flat and could not put the spare on himself so he came in and asked if they had a second hand tire. First they said yes but it’s going to be 80$ ...that’s very high for his tire...than he said no it’s ok just put my spare in please. They charged an old man 35$ to put his spare tire on.This place is a rip off and took advantage of an old man on a 25 degree day.
Dont Even Think about this place they will tell you tire needs to be changed, and if you tell him just put the spear tire, when they took out the tire he told me your tire is fine but we can fix it, he pulled out a small nail and he patched the tire, he mounted it and I asked him how much he said $20.00 then I told him im giving you credit card, he said no problem, so i gave his employee then he said $43.00 i told him your Boss just told me $20.00 he said no $43.00 I Had to pay it and sign the receipt but I will dispute the charges. Never use this place. the want you to buy their tire and your tire is always bad and they tell you to change it.
Three times they fooled me. My simple flat from a nail turned into new holes that mysteriously appeared in the side wall. Last straw was today with another hole in the sidewall when the original leak was a simple screw in the tread. Dont ever go here unless you want these guys putting holes in your tires causing you to have to buy new ones.
A gas station worker recommended 67th St. Tire Shop Corp when a nail poked into my tire. When I arrived, a few workers from the shop came out to look at my car. The nail puncture was in the middle of the tire, but the workers said that the wall of my tire was also damaged. When I was not looking, they made a sharp cut on the wall of my tire. They said that I had to get the entire tire replaced and charged me $175! I should have checked online reviews before stopping here. These guys ought to go to jail. Never go here!!
I was getting my tires checked because I was going on a long trip. I was on my phone walking around and I noticed that they had been helping a lady that had just arrived before me. As they were checking her tires I noticed one of the guys thrust a sharp metal object into one of her tires very quickly. She wasnt paying attention but I was.Lo and behold a few minutes later they are trying to sell her a tire because her tire happened to have a hole in it. I was shocked at the whole thing and I tried explaining to the lady what had happened but she was too afraid to bring it up to them. I called 911 but they had the actual person involved had to report it but she didnt want to go ahead and report them. I decided not to get my tires checked there for obvious reason. Will never be back there Again. KEEP AWAY!!!!
Only 3200 miles on my tires. Went in due to low pressure as reported by the TPM. These are Run-On-Flats. I know the leak is not from the side as I inspected the tire when first notified by TPM. Once I got there, they quickly removed my tire and took it inside their shop. A few seconds later I went in and they told me I have a puncture on the sidewall and needed a new tire. Guess what? They have my tire in stock! Long story short, I do believe they punctured my tire. Another tale tell sign: the guys there insist the PSI on the tires should all be 40 (and not base on what the car manufacture stated on the door panel)! Can I give them negative stars!!?!?!?!?!?
Do not use...a bunch of liars and cheaters. owner and staff lied about my old tires condition and sold me tires that voided vehicle warranty while assuring me they were perfect for my car. the lesson is always check reviews!!!The one positive review is probably the owner.
It seems like they have been pulling this scam for a while now, I took my truck in with a bolt in the tread area but I still had full pressure after driving from flatbush ave, and while I was on a call outside they called me in and showed me a fresh cut on the side of the tire near the treads and quoted me 150 for a new tire or 70 for a used one. luckily the slash wasnt deep enough to cause any leak. I made them unwillingly patch the tire for $15. after the patch was installed they tested the tire in the water drum and found another mystery leak. they said they would plug it for $5. my tire was fine and holding pressure before I brought it to them and now I have 2 leaks and a slash?!? Id advise staying away from them at all costs. put on a spare and go to g tire shop on McDonald and y. they are trustworthy and fair.
Avoid at all costs. They first said the cost would be $30 to fix the flat tire. They charge me $50 and here how this happened: the hole was made by a nail that plugged the hole and allowed the tire to deflate very slowly. After they fixed the hole they tested the tire and found another hole. If the tire had 2 holes it wouldnt stay inflated for as long as it can when I add air to the tire. The newly found hole didnt have a nail in it it was just an open hole. It was made by the guy who inspected the tire when I wasnt looking. Shame on them for being called human beings. People without character and decency. I wonder how their lives look like in their marriages and how they raise their kids. Pure animalistic livings. Im going to report them to every agency in the city of ny that should check this business for any wrongdoing. Go wonder ...
Not a recommended place to patch a tire. I asked to have a single all-season high performance Toyo patched and they attempted to sell me on a replacement tire. If I wanted a $125 tire replaced by a used $25 one, Im sure Id ask. After asking for a quote for my $125 tire, I was told itd be $200. After it was plugged, which ran me $10 or so, the patch did not last more than a day before going flat. It was merely leaking 1psi a day prior to that. I have a jack in my car so swapping out to spare took me under 10 mins but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth so I cant say Ill be coming back ever.
THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!!! I was certain I only had one hole on my tire yet once I looked away they suddenly said there was another! Good thing I knew this was a scam however I had many of my friends scammed several hundreds of dollars! Do not trust this place all the 5 star reviews are false!
Exalent very courtius people treated with respect, honesty, decency and gave me a great discount on two tires brand new sixtens very good place to do buisness and said they wood call me when they would have an extra rim available for a good spare . I would give 4 and a half stars and a very quick and clean job. Job well done. Congratulations fellas @ 67th st on 5th ave corner. Who wrote this? James Garcia Amaral !!!!

Be carefully Do not Change used tire here !!!!!!!!,amigo service is very rude , I ask“ do you have any more used tire for choice” ,amigo is very very rude .i said I dont like this tire.he never stop changing tire.force me and buy it . But tire still lose air.they maybe do one-off time deal. oh horrible &Unbelievable.later,I go to other store, they said tire not any problems, just only filling plug lose air.i spent $10 change it.everthing good.amigo from this store is swindler he said edge of tire is broken.i think the boss should fire him.or he will lose business & costomer, new tire price from this store more expensive than others
This place is a fraud went there to fix my tire it had a nail in it the first thing the guy said was it’s not fixable u need a new tire which 190 or good brand 220 I was like u kidding me right now I got so mad so I told him put it back I’ll go where else then he was like IOk I’ll fix it and he charged me 20 $ for a plug just don’t go there it’s a scam
Caught the guy stabbing my tire with a sharp blade all I had was a screw in my tire drove 20 blocks to bayridge where I live on the tire air was holding good asked them to patch the tire watching them the whole time he patched the tire put air in it holding good then I move to the door turn around and the guy is sticking a shape exact blade in my tire and know it pissing and hes trying to explain to me tire no good and Im explaining to him he stuck my tire with a knife , conventionally they seem to sell inner tubes at this shop for 45 bucks but they tell you first the tire is no good so a new one is needed for 145 bucks amazing I told my dad the story he said same thing happens to him but he couldnt prove it stay away NOOOOO GOOD CROOKS
THEY WILL SECRETLY DAMAGE YOUR TIRE SIDE AND TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR. A black shop of a bunch of liars! Hope the police catch them sooner! Their illegal profits are already considerable! Its all illegal! This is a tire black shopThey can sneak up on the side of your tires, or intentionally damage your tire sensors! Unscrupulous for profit!
This is a black shop. Don’t go there. They will puncture your tires and say they can’t make up for a new one. I sent 150 and bought a new one. The air leaked after a few days. Go to another shop. It turns out that the inspection is also old, that is, those who have 90% of the new tires are punctured by them and then sold to others. Such people are too hateful. Dont go or you will lose too much.

2022-04-12I would never go back there if it was the last tire shop in the world. I drove 80 miles with a tire that had a screw in it. Decided to go there to have it taken out. The guy calls me inside and shows me that my sidewall has a hole in it. So thinking quickly I realized that they damaged my tire and tried to sell me a new one. Luckily I had a spare under my truck. These people are thieves they charged me $35 to damage my tire and switch my spare. They try to steal from the working man. I asked you please dont ever go here they dont deserve your money and might possibly damage your tires also!!!. So being fully aware of the situation. I drove to the bank ANYWAY and came back to give them a $20 tip thats over 50% BTW.I hope they enjoy the tip. My lesson was priceless ...

2022-05-221 star because theyll take care of you quick and if you use their service, youll drive away with a fixed/good tire. A second star for the benefit of the doubt because I did not witness any wrongdoing with my own eyes. That said, after twice bringing my cars here to find that there was a sizable leak from the sidewall, in addition to having the expected nail/screw where the tire hits the ground, and being told that the tire is unfixable, unaware of these very many reviews detailing the same experience, and never having had a sidewall leak at any other tire shop---suffice it to say Ive become very suspicious and will never come back here. When I mentioned this and the prior reviews to the man running the place, all of a sudden his English began to falter and we did not have a productive conversation.

2022-03-04Our company van had a leak in both tires. Our usual guy was too far to reach so we settled on the closest shop to patch the tire. They took off the tire and brought it inside then came back a short time after and claimed both tires had a hole in the sidewall including the tiny hike that was causing the slow leak! Same size object was used to puncture both tires. Extremely suspicious! Unfortunately didnt read the reviews first which is my fault but Im hoping I can save others on a hard lesson and not get stuck buying 2 new tires. Which will be looked over by our usual guy to be sure those werent a scam as well.

2022-06-11Do not come here! I second all the other reviews. This place scams you into buying a new, overpriced tire by puncturing the side wall when they bring your tire to the back to check for leaks. Stay away.

2022-01-22Came for a nail on the tire. I ended up having a tiny hole on the side. I asked where it came from they said we don’t know. If that was the case I would I had a flat tire before arriving at the shop. They tried to convince me to buy a new tire meanwhile I just changed my 4 tires less the 7months ago. Never going back & if someone goes there make sure you stay next to your until the finish the job.

2022-01-22Beware. Had the same experience as a previous commenter. When I arrived there was still air the tire. I was still outside whenhe brought the tire in and put it in the tub revealing a puncture in thetread and a straight slit on the sidewall. My alarm bell went off as hetried to sell me one of his over-priced tires but would not take a credit card.Avoid at all cost.

2021-09-27Bunch Liars!! STAY AWAY! they are right across the street from Lexus and Nissan, the service center was close because it was Sunday. We brought in our SUV because it had nail in it. The tire was inspected prior to brining them and it was still drivable. They took the tire in to remove the nail and patch it. Then came back out with a puncture on the side as well. They deliberately destroyed the tire and told us it was there. They have done this before and also check rest of the reviews and have done it to many people.

2022-01-24Never again. Always with the upsell attempts from the start, this time they did shoddy work and overcharged me. Even when i was still with them in the shop, they mounted the new tire and tried to put it back on my car without balancing it first, only doing so when I called them out on that. The tire was not more than a week old and it was losing air and about to fail on the NJ turnpike, so I had to pull over. When I got the car to a Pep Boys repair center they said that the tire had been installed wrong by the shop and if I had kept going it wouldve blown out on me, at highway speeds. They did a better, more through job replacing it and actually charged me $30 less than this shop did. When I returned with the failed tire to the shop they refused to refund so much as a penny, telling me I shouldve somehow brought it back to them (from New Jersey) instead of paying someone else to replace it (again!)Never again, go to a reputable shop instead of these jokers.
