Mark not only did a great job tuning my piano, he was also really dedicated to making sure my instrument was in the best possible shape it could be. My piano had a lot of problems, and Mark worked really hard to find solutions for each of them, honestly going above and beyond what I would have expected . It took time and effort on his part but I always felt as if he had my best interests in mind. He was also great at communicating, giving me status updates as often as he could. I’ll be happy to use him again, and highly recommend him for your own piano needs.

Mark has done an amazing job resuscitating a piano that should have been put out of its misery years ago. He strongly advised me not to invest the money it would take to rescue this 1940s behemoth that was riddled with brittle plastic parts that disintegrate if a gentle breeze wafts by, and offered to advise me on finding another piano — one that would be just as good in tone but would not require extensive repairs and that, even with moving and tuning expenses, probably would be less costly than repairing this one.Because my daughter and her family dearly love this particular piano, I opted for repairs. Mark took the action to his shop and worked diligently to repair the many broken plastic flanges, and just finished reinstalling the action and tuning the piano. It has gone from an out-of-tune piano with some non-working keys to a playable instrument that will be more than adequate for teaching my grandchildren how to play.I highly recommend Mark; he is honest, knowledgeable, courteous, and thoroughly professional.

I found Mark on Angies list. I had my piano tuned 2 years ago when I purchased it secondhand from someone that had it in storage for a while. The other piano tuners phone number was out of service, so I was happy to find Mark so quickly.When I called, we set up an appointment for about 2 weeks out (there was no rush) and he even called the night before to confirm. Very professional. He was scheduled to arrive at 10am, however, he was running a little bit late...and yet again - he called. Major points in my book; I appreciated the heads-up.Mark did a great job; the piano sounds awesome and he repaired a couple of other things as well. He did a general tuning and a fine tuning...so it took a bit longer (since its been 2 years since this piano has had any professional attention). I would definitely recommend Mark and Im sure to call him again in the future.

A-1 Piano Tuning states they are an: Experienced - Professional - Piano Tuner. That could not be a truer statement. Mark was quick, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any and all questions I asked. I would use Mark again, and definitely recommend him to co-workers, friends, and family.

Mark has wreaked serious havoc with my To-Do List since he tuned my upright grand, built circa 1900, last tuned in 1980. It was in such poor condition that one of my friends commented that I had a piece of furniture which bore a remarkable resemblance to a piano. Mark knowledgeably and painstakingly coaxed it back to musical life Im only a casual player, but now, alas! I cant walk by it without stopping to play just one piece, which leads to another, and another.... hence my undone to-do list. Totally his fault!

Mark did an excellent job tuning and tweaking my parents 100+ year old piano at our cabin in the Adirondacks. I would recommend his work to anyone who needs piano service in the area.
