2022-02-14A Perfume Goldmine is the kind of quirky, specialized boutique thats hard to find in NYC these days, and Im so glad its there. Its owned by an actual perfumer and its staffed by knowledgeable, helpful fragrance-lovers who can guide you through the perfumers creations and give you some really interesting (and fun!) scent-education along the way. Prices start at $16 for a travel-size spray from The Zoo NYC and go higher; there are plenty of fragrances priced under $150, which is incredibly reasonable for niche fragrance these days. Keep an eye out for all the surprising little details of the shops decor when you visit!

2022-03-13What a delight! It looked very chichi and intimidating from the outside. But when we got inside we were helped by a wonderful woman who made the entire experience fun, interesting and educational. We left with 5 small bottles of unique, delightful scents for a really reasonable price. So much more interesting than buying perfume at a department store. I would absolutely go back, and I would recommend it unconditionally!

2022-02-12I am not one to post reviews often, but if you are interested in perfume in any way, this shop is not only worth a stop, it’s worth making a special journey. The interior is presented like a small museum, displaying the career of the perfumer behind every creation. You will of course interact with perfume, but also you will learn about fragrance creation in a very interactive way. I cannot recommend this place enough!

2022-04-09Lovely. Met the knowledgeable Christophe himself and it was such an experience. Not just the fragrance he develops, but the way he desires others to experience them as well. It’s incredibly innovative. It’s like a playground that makes you think about the possibilities of fragrance and it’s integration in the future.

2022-02-12Rarely have I frequented a storefront whose ambiance radiates such passion, or spoken with a sales person who so throughly exudes excitement for their profession. Such is the enthusiasm one finds here, where love for all things scented hangs in the air, and which fills the nose with such joy.
