Wonderful Italian food served in a cozy and elegant environment. The menu is simple but hosts a very good selection of different dishes. The service is kind and attentive. The salad is very unique and an experience unlike the usual pre-meal salad one would expect from an Italian restaurant in a very delightful way. I particularly enjoyed the calamari and it might be the best Ive ever eaten. My meal was prepared expertly with every culinary aspect in mind. While the prices arent low, they are more than worth it for the quality of food and service you receive while there.
Service great, as was the bread and appetizers. Food not bad. A little to much sauce (easy to add more so would recommend using a little less). Also sauce good but a little bitter like it was boiled to long or down to much. Lasagna cold in the center, I’m sure they would’ve warmed up if I asked. Still overall very good and it’s hard to judge from tasting one batch of sauce and one visit. Look forward to returning. The staff was a big part of that - just a great staff.
First time here. Place was warm & toasty! Nice atmosphere. Great specials! I had the bacon wrapped pork filet with roasted Brussels sprouts ~ DELICIOUS! My husband had The Godfather (chicken park, lasagna, and spaghetti)....cleaned his plate! Friendly and prompt service, too!HIGHLY recommended!!! 5 stars!
My wife and I were on our way to a different restaurant when we noticed lots of cars in their lot. We stopped in with no expectations. We were pleasantly surprised to a welcoming atmosphere. We thought we would stay for a drink and check out the menu and ended up staying for dinner. My wife had a Gewürztraminer and I had a local IPA. The service was as great as the food. They served fresh bread and rosemary garlic olive oil. We had appetizers as meals since we weren’t that hungry. Everything was wonderful. I can’t wait to return for the chicken saltimbocca. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Unexpected dining find in Windsor NY. Stopped here on a Sunday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Both of us had a simple pasta dish since this was our first time here. Both meals were excellent. The service was great too. The menu offers more variety than we had expected. We also had an excellent appetizer and dessert. The prices are very reasonable. Will return again for more.
Vary good service. All the staff stopped to see if we needed anything as they passed our table.. Didnt have to wait for our waiter.Food was vary good and the homemade pasta added to the fresh made to order dinners. Portions were generous and moderately priced.I would recommend making reservations or you probably have to wait for a table.
Our experience was incredible. With 16 of us showing up without a reservation as they opened the doors, I think they were slightly thrown off their game seeing a large number of people coming in, but they were very accommodating. They handled it very professionally and most importantly graciously! They were very kind and attentive and very friendly! It was great to see the chef/owner come out and ask how things were. We gave him around of applause. Oh, and the food....was amazing!! (especially the meatballs)Five Star for sure!
Just visited here for the first time and it was great! The staff is very attentive. The drinks were top shelf and the food.... I cant say enoughabout the food. It is first rate. The lasagna was by far the best she had tasted in quite sometime. The meat Ravioli was full and tender.. the Seafood Fra Diavolo was top notch, not too spicy but a beautiful taste. The Mussels, Clams, Scallops, and Shrimp were tender and Very tasty. A very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Absolutely will visit here many times. And when the weather is better, they have a patio for total relaxed dining. 😎
We celebrated my birthday at A Tavolo last night. Customer Service was amazing. They made sure your glass of water was refilled, very attentive. Throughout the dinner we were never rushed and since reservations are strongly recommended, the restaurant is able to book with enough customers so excellent personal attention can be given, rather than overbooking. This made for an intimate dinner and no elbow to elbow tables full of others talking around you. The owner of the restaurant personally approached us to ask us how our meals were. I’d say outstanding!!! I ordered French Onion Soup to start and for my main course, Alfredo Fettuccine with mushrooms and extra sauce. Before I make a review of the dishes, I want to add you are served fresh bread and a nice herbal dipping sauce. Really good. The side salad was very much to my liking with fresh greens, cranberries, and nuts. I had homemade ranch dressing. The French Onion Soup was delicious, the stock was hardy with a slight sweet taste. Loaded with onions and a slice of bread, topped with good cheese to compliment. I think I could make a meal just out of the soup. My Alfredo Fettuccine was a beautiful presentation, and diving into the noodles (home made?) with a wonderful rich Alfredo sauce satisfied my curiosity with pleasant results. The ultimate yum. I can’t wait to warm up my leftovers for lunch today. If I could give this restaurant more stars I would.
A Tavolos is a rare gem in dining for this area. My sweetheart and I just had a very tasty meal prepared by Dave, and hosted by Donna. The food is always delicious, the staff is the best, and tonight the atmosphere for Valentines Day was splendid. From the fresh flowers on the tables, to the live soothing background music, a wonderful experience all around.
Outstanding Valentines Evening dinner. Menu choices were varied and fairly priced. We ordered bacon wrapped filet. They were cooked to perfection and presented with crisp asparagus . The wine and cocktail menu was a delight and Our waiter Jess made our evening a special event even though he was very busy. I would recommend this restaurant and am glad the located to Chenango Bridge. We will be returning.
I want to start with the fact that the food was very good. We have no complaints about the food or our waitress (after our initial encounter). This review is based on the service we experienced when we first arrived, which I have to say turned us off to this place immediately, and we probably wont be return because of it.When we pulled in, there were only 2 other cars in the lot so we assumed they probably werent too busy. We stepped in the door at 7:04 on a Sunday. Mind you, their Sunday hours list that they close at 8. MOST restaurants we have ever dined at (we eat out at least 2x a week) list their hours as the time they stop seating people, but regardless EVEN IF they were actually closing at 8, we still had almost an entire hour to be seated, eat, and leave, in my opinion/experience that was plenty of time. So 3 of us awkwardly stood in the doorway and waited as a younger waitress was busy in the waitress station across from us, not even acknowledging that we were there. A few minutes go by and another waitress came by and told us that they close at 8 and said she had to run in the back and ask if its OK that we are there. At that point I looked at my phone and we had already been standing there for nearly 11 minutes before anyone even came up to us. In front of us, she asked the younger waitress if she was going to seat us, and she said that she was just going to finish what she was doing at the moment. The other waitress then seated us soon after. As I said before, food was great, and staff was friendly. But this seemed a little ridiculous, and slightly unprofessional. And to top it off, we walked out the door at 7:52, before they even closed. So all of that waiting, checking, and making your guests feel awkward was for nothing, and had it not occurred, would have absolutely resulted in a 5 star review from me.If you want to close at 8, maybe update your hours to reflect that you close at 7 instead, to avoid anyone walking in if you consider the entire last hour too late for customers to come in. Otherwise, what is the purpose of listing that you close at 8 if you expect customers to be there well before 7??? Its a little misleading.Update- now seeing that this has been responded to, Im a little more irritated. To start, I believe you may have generously rounded based on your cameras, but I am glad you checked to prove a point. But - maybe you should be more worried about addressing the fact that youve successfully made guests feel awkward for trying to have dinner within your business hours, in what was a completely empty restaurant at that point.
Quaint old house turned into a restaurant. Nice bar and nice ambience. The wait staff is prompt and continuously checks on your table. That part is all excellent, but lets talk about the food. The spaghetti sauce was almost plain tomato sauce. The spaghetti as a side to the chicken marsala and the chicken parmesan was cold. The meatballs with the spaghetti seemed like the bread crumbs werent well mixed into the meat. It seemed like youd get chunks of bread crumbs as you were chewing the meatballs. The Alfredo sauce on the fettuccini Alfredo dish was very bland. It was very creamy but lacked the cheese flavor youd expect from an Alfredo sauce. The chicken in the chicken parmesan was over done and very dry. On another positive, the portion sizes were very good and at a fair price. The quality and taste of the food needs some work, though.
As I understand it this place just opened up. For starters the table by the door (poor guy sitting there) is in the entryway. The back porch was nice. Water was cool but it needed ice. The salad was on a bread plate. It was small to say the least. Bag the nuts. You never know who has allergies. Lets face it not everyone expects there to be nuts in the salad and nary a tomato, onion or cucumber to be seen. The fettuccine was homemade but was not cooked through. I get aldente but this stood up on the fork. Alfredo had ricotta in It? Just not traditional. Upgrade the bread and maybe some hot pepper flakes in the dipping oil. Red sauce was tasty. Good luck to you (I mean that sincerely). Hope you continue to make improvements. Its a decent start.
To start the meal off, the arancini appetizer was burnt. When the next course came, it was a flavorless veal marsala that my date had to add about a teaspoon of salt to to make it palatable. My fettuccine alfredo with chicken? The chicken was burnt, and the alfredo was lifeless. When I asked the waiter if there was ricotta in it (that was the taste and texture), he asked the chef. He came back and informed me that the only two ingredients were parmesan and half and half. REALLY!? Half and half? How cheap can you be? You use heavy cream for an alfredo!Still, we took the food to go. We were low on dog food at home.I recommend this restaurant to people that have never had Italian food. Everyone else will be disappointed.Oh, and one other thing...They advertise imported pasta. Not homemade. Dont be confused. Any pasta made in another country is imported. You can buy Molinari or Barilla across the street at Price Chopper. Both of those are imported too.

2022-06-283 of us dined there and all of us were very pleased. One of the few places Ive been able to get meat ravioli and it was great. We had a new server but she was great. Its a smaller operation so be patient. Its worth the wait. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

2021-06-20Excellent out door seating under a large tent with lanterns and patio lighting. Rain or shine the out door deck seating is a great spot to enjoy a nice meal. We sat out back during a light rain and it was cozy and dry. The food was good we both ordered penne a la vodka . The salads are fresh and dressing is home made. The cocktails and deserts are great too. Service was fast and friendly I highly recommend!

2022-02-16Came here for Valentines weekend. Saw thereviews were great and the regular menu priceswere decent so we were excited. Upon sittingdown and reading the special Valentines Daymenu, it was crazy over priced than the regularmenu. Ordered the cheapest thing on the menu, the potato was undercooked and the chicken was just not what I expected. Overall wish the prices for this special menu could have been shown online prior.

Pasta bolognese was excellent, although I may requestcapellini or spaghetti in lieu of fettuccini next time. My wife orderedsteak & that was cooked perfectly to her liking. A nice bottle of Chianticompleted a very pleasant evening out. a Tavolo is a wonderful additionto Broome dining choices.

2021-05-03A small group of us were here last night, food is AMAZING!! Staff were remarkably courteous and helpful. There was live music for the outdoor eating area, a little loud for my taste but the music was great and upbeat. I will definitely be back here again!!

2020-08-23Everything about this place is wonderful. The owner and our waitress made this experience perfect. The dishes we ordered, Gnocchi dish and a Salmon special were delicious. We ended this meal with homemade gelato! Atmosphere was quaint and relaxing. A great night out!
