Our mother has been in Absolut Center in Endicott for 3 years. Mom and our family have been treated with such extraordinary care, concern & compassion that Mom has flourished and we have continually been comforted knowing that Mom is in such good hands. This past week we needed to take Mom out of the facility for a few hours and the entire team worked to have Mom prepared. We are so deeply grateful and every day that gratitude is reinforced by Moms general content. Mom has flourished at Absolut Endicott and we want to thank the team for all they do for Mom and all the residents. A very special thank you especially to Jim Conklin.

Such a caring and awesome staff! My grandmother was there after breaking her hip and the whole family was skeptical due to what weve heard and read but I can assure you that was not OUR experience. We were able to visit with her and be a apart of her recovery journey. The team on the rehab unit is truly amazing!

My mom passed away this morning at Absolut. She was there on comfort care for the last 2 weeks. I read the reviews, and I had my moment of Eww when I first walked in. It was old, dirty in places, and the smell… ugh. But let me tell you about the staff. My mother loved everyone there and they loved her right back. They were so caring and attentive. And omg the patience they showed with all the residents. Amazing! The food was always good. Coffee hot. They catered to my mom’s special diet. I can’t say enough good things about everyone. The only thing I would suggest is some state official somewhere give them more funding to update that facility. Those people deserve it. My mother got top quality care from a place people speak poorly of. It’s sad. I wish all you ladies well.Much love,Amy J

On a professional level, Kat and Donna were horrible. We all have a job to do and it is key to be professional at all times. A big part of my job function to make calls to healthcare businesses and verify health-related information. If I am not rude to you, do not be rude to me. Please take a customer care tutorial before you ruin your companys reputation.

Nice facility with a great caring staff! They went through a lot just like other homes during covid and have managed to take care of their residents and putting our minds at ease. Thank you all, keep up the good work!

I had a family member there. She was forced by a nurse to get out of bed and walk herself to the doorway of her room for meds. When she told the nurse she was dizzy and need to sit that nurse slammed the door on her. the door hit her and She broke her hip and has a brain bleed from the assault. Two weeks later she’s still in the hospital.. had to have surgery to repair the hip.. the night it happen the charge nurse tried to coerce the family to not have the ambulance come and take her to the hospital. This is a horrible sick place, no one should ever be here.

WARNING! DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!The following was copied/pasted from an employee of Absolut Care:During my time there, I had a patient who was trying to tell me he could not breathe. I will keep his name out of this for his privacy, so I immediately ran to get an o2 reader, I politely asked the nurse for one, and I was told she couldnt find one, and that she didnt know where anything is in this place and he has a DNR anyways. I finally found one and his oxygen was drastically dropping. I turned the oxygen up to 15, and he was still very unstable, with that a nurse came in and said I have some morphine here hopefully its not too much, oh well and administered it orally. There are 3 patients off the top of my head that do not get fed meals because they are annoying, or a hassle they put the tray in the room but tell me to move it far enough away where they cant reach it, and they will go back in there about 10 minutes later and pick up the trays and write it off as they refused to eat.During my time there, which was very short there were two deaths within the same day. Again, I will keep their names out of this post for their privacy. The one male was fine, tried getting out of bed, but was not allowed to, he was far from ill. He would bang on the wall and ask one of us to bring him a hose to wash his car (Im assuming going back in time to his younger days) one day, I came into my shift and he was asleep. The entire shift. I asked if I should wake him up and was told gosh no, hes fine he didnt get fed meals and was asleep like that for a few days, by the third day I came into my shift and was told he passed. Another gentleman who was sleeping for a few days & not fed meals passed that same day. There is now one woman there who is sleeping non stop, she was perfectly fine a few days ago. It sets uneasy in my stomach that they all go the same way. They will be fine, then sleeping for about 3-4 days then eventually pass. And its always with all the difficult patients. I was also told at the nurses station by the supervisors daughter during my first few days dont be nervous, you can get away with murder here, literallyOne patient who is a fall risk, and is now on the dementia unit, fell twice in one day, the nurse that was one was already having a bad day. When I went to get her when I found him on the ground she closed the door and started screaming and cursing at him and told him hes staying there. The icing on the cake was me not getting a break 2 separate days, no 15 minute break, no 30 minute lunch. And the supervisors covering up for a staffs behaviors. The same staff who also left her relative who is a patient there in FILTH, and told me I could get away with murder. I left early on May 24th, and was threatened by the supervisor that my job would be in jeapordy and how unprofessional it was for me to walk out. But it wasnt unprofessional for their staff to be sitting at the nurses station doing nothing while I had 2 new admits, and 12 of my own patients ringing their call bell. Not to mention, I am not licensed to administer medications, but was told to do a few of the patients that arent all there because they dont know whos giving them their medicine by a nurse. If you have loved ones here, you need to rethink this place. I was warned by first responders that this place was no good. And now I saw for myself. Cameras will be pulled and there was voice recordings taken. This place needs to be shut down. Please share this post so the word gets spread.

I have been at Absolut Care of a bit over a year and can honestly say Ive seen it all - the good, not so good and the excellent! The therapy was awesome, even after I was complete I was able to use the gym to do my routine exercises. My room could have been more spacious considering the fact that both my roommate and I had a lot of things however, housekeeping did a good job of keeping it clean. The set-up needs to change, tv should be closer to my bed so that the volume wont interfere with roommates and each room should have its own thermostat so that temp can be better controlled. The food is good - the common mistake here is that something always seems to be left off my ticket and that we were not informed of the new changes to the menu. Daily activities are offered which is nice but my recommendation is that the spa day should be open to both male & female. The staff is good and mostly helpful and they usually take the time to listen and make an effort to resolve my issues but on the weekends they dont seen to perform as well. Nursing and medical team was good for the most part however, I was not always consulted when things changed. Also, I feel like once I was able to do certain things some staff stopped checking to see if I needed assistance. Main issues: transport to appointments in a timely manner, treatment orders and food. Positives: THERAPY, friendliness of staff & activities offered. I plan on returning to volunteer at the facility and hope to help make it a much better place to reside! :)

My husband is here for therapy and I am with him for usually more than half the day. The staff is GREAT. Laundry comes back nice, smelling fresh and clean. The food is sufficient, but a bigger portion wouldnt hurt and the soups are absolutely amazing. The therapy he has received has been tremendous and we are looking forward to going home & continuing the recovery process. They have a lot of fun activities offered throughout the day if you want to participate.

The only good thing about this place was the therapy staff members!!! Each and every one were amazing! But for the remaining staff members you relied on the other 23 hours of the day... A pure nightmare! The worst 4 months of my life! Now I need psychiatric help from the worsened PTSD this place did to me! From unfair treatment, nurses stealing your pain meds and replacing them with god only knows what, effing up your meds and accidentally putting someone elses pill in your cup and being a med youre allergic to, to them stealing items off your food trays, not giving immobile residents their trays to actually murdering residents, etc... This place needs to be shut down immediately! If its the last thing I do, I will take them down!!! DO NOT SEND ANY LOVED ONES HERE!!!
