First off this is the best storage facility. Soraya is the queen of customer service. I came in with tons of questions and Soraya and the team provided top notch service. Even with me wanting to view multiple size storage lockers they kept their patience and worked out with me what would be best. Prices are fantastic and I’m just really excited about seeing their faces when I come in. Thanks Soraya and team !
I lived in Long Island City for five years and kept a storage space in this facility during all that time. The entire staff — manager, customer service reps, elevator operators, etc. — were terrific and always very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. The facility itself was clean and felt secure. I never had any complaints. I highly recommend this storage facility.
Access Self Storage is a great place. They are always cleaning/painting and keeping the building very tidy, a good quality for a storage facility! Very friendly staff and always accommodating and thoughtful. We recently upgraded our unit and Jeanette in the office was so great at getting us a great unit on the same floor to make the move that much easier! Thanks Access Self Storage!
Everyone at the unit is extremely kind and friendly - Ross was so helpful over the phone, when there was a pricing issue online, and Jeanette was really lovely in the front office. The Units are clean and they are busy installing climate control systems, which is great, The only thing I wasnt happy with, was that my unit has an open ceiling/roof - which I didnt realize/know about. Seeing as dust collects very quickly in NY, I will be interested to see how that affects the contents of my unit. But other than that, an all around great experience!
Very clean and the staff is great. They’ll take you on a tour to the storage unit and explain everything to you. If you need this and that. Price is right and no hidden fees. A great place to store anything you want.
Ive been with access for over a year now,I have to say their staff are the most helpful and friendly people Ive came across in all my moves. I recommend asking for Soraya or Jeanette, they have been the most helpful answering my questions and accommodating me with all my moving needs. They offer the use of dollies, bins on wheels and other useful equipment. I like that access has a loading dock that multiple people can use simultaneously. They keep there facility clean.Their freight elevator is always functional and available. They have vending machines for drinks and snacks. The premisses is under 24 hour surveillance. They have a big parking lot so no worries about parking. Need supplies? They have them available for purchase in their office.Im very impressed with the quality service they’ve provided to me. My partner and I chose Access Self Storage while we were in-between locations during COVID. I cannot express how kind, flexible and affordable this storage facility and its customer service team was. Access Self Storage gave us an incredible deal and even a coupon on a moving company. Not only was it affordable, but the team was understanding when we moved out early and waived the early cancellation fee. I would highly recommend Access Self Storage to anyone in the area in need of storage space.

I was a customer of Access Self Storage for 15 years. I can say from experience that they provide excellent, reliable and safe storage for the long haul. I had no problems or even minor issues in all that time, and whenever I had occasion to speak with the staff they were always courteous and helpful. I cannot imagine having had a more trouble-free long-term experience.Because of my work (I have been a reporter and photographer since the late 1980s) I had among other things more than 40 large boxes of files - news clippings, research, notes and thousands of print photos. When we transferred these to my new garage, we noticed that not a single paper smelled funny, and there was surprisingly little dust and no evidence of bug activity. So I can say without hesitation that Access keeps the air dry and the place clean, consistently.On a personal note, I had an office in the World Trade Center and my wife and I ran a bakery/cafe in Little Italy until 2003. We were here for the 9/11 attacks, and when we needed to take a storage place, safety and security were foremost on our minds. Access kept our things safe until we could take them back, and we are grateful and quite satisfied for their excellent service.
I used Access Storage in Long Island City, Queens NY for about 3 months. They have great customer service, great deals on storage and I even used the Access Truck with drivers to move my things from my old apartment into storage. The manager Ms. Soraya Gomez helped me get my account started and gave me very detailed information. Two other employees that were very helpful were Juan and Ramon. The people at Access provided me with great service and were very welcoming.
When I first went to store my stuff, I did a lot of searching and comparison in person before I went with Access. Having just moved my stuff out from Access, I continue to be very satisfied with my decision to store with them.They offered me a great deal on the first three months, and even at normal price (which was laid out perfectly clearly in advance) they were a good deal. Easy to access, with a big loading dock, clean facilities--even clean bathrooms, helpful employees. It really feels like a family business.The family business part is key to me, actually. For example, when I had to have a shipment sent to them and it fell outside of our pre-discussed parameters, they were nevertheless very helpful and accommodating. They never pulled any kind of bureaucratic nonsense on me... they were just honest and helpful. And they refunded me my unused days of the month when I moved out, without being asked, whereas I think a lot of places would have made up some bogus policy just to keep my money. And they never raised their fees on me.Ive recommended Access to all my friends and would definitely use them again.

Never had a storage unit before I was so nervous because of what is going on now a days I went in the storage facility a person by the name soraya was showing me around telling me prices on the units and showing me how clean they are she made it so simple and easy to get one paper work was fast and friendly even the bathrooms are spotless

The employees are helpful, so far everytime I have shown up there hasbeen plenty of room to unload the car. Just read the small print on the contract. If you are late with a payment it voids your insurance on your belongings. I found out after Sandy hit and I lost everything I owned. I was in the process of moving and stored everything there. I went to put a claim in and sure enough didnt get a dime!!!
Stored my stuff here for 3+ years. I chose Access over Manhattan Mini Storage because you get more sq footage for the price. Also, the staff is very nice from the front office to the man who operates the elevator- a real gem.

I stored here for a few years. Staff very professional and friendly. Easy access to unit, which was a bit far from the loading dock area but I believe that was fairly reflected in the price. Would use again.

If you have a storage space in the lower floor and including basement area in Access Storage Please keep in mind to add an insurance on the outside for your personal belongings at Access Storage . Because when Storm Sandy hit NYC in October of 2012, it cause a lot of flooding my sisters belonging was a total lost . And Access stated they werent responsible??????? Okay, so what happened to Access Self Storage facility Insurance, Oh no, they said it was her responsibility to get an outside insurance for her belongings stored at Access Self Storage. Another thing I forgot to mention Ive been a customer at this facility for years they quote you with a low rate just to attract customers and once your in your rate continues to rise. LIARS!!!!!

2022-06-07The floors in the facility are horrible they are so bumpy it makes it hard to transport your things with out stuff falling off your cart. Why can’t they just fix their floors? The light on my row doesn’t turn on half the time. Not sure why since they should be motion sensored. And most importantly you don’t really have access according to the hours posted because the staff is always trying to lock up early. On several occasions I’ve tried to just come right before they close to pick up something real quick and couldn’t. And if you are there they are kinda breathing down your neck pressuring you to go by yelling at you that they are closing. I’ve always kept good track of time and never stayed past their closing time. I’m not sure why they can’t just go by the hours posted, It’s kind of annoying not being able to depend on the place being open when they should be just because the staff are trying to rush out all the time. Oh also saw a hazardous cord situation the other week. It was going across the main doorway where you push your carts through. They seriously need to spend a little more care on this place.

2022-07-01Ive been using this facility in LIC for over 20 years and still have ever after moving out of the area. I really like the staff and they do take heed to your needs and offer the best options for your property. When Superstorm Sandy hit, I(along with others) lost a lot in storage. They did the best they can to help and accommodate those who needed it. Even after that, I stayed with them. If you need storage services, I truly feel they would be able to assist and make you feel right at home.

2021-09-11Wonderful experience with this family-owned storage facility! The staff, including Jeannette and Ross, are super friendly and accommodating, making a stressful and hectic move seem far less so. There are other more updated storage facilities nearby, but are very corporate and unwelcoming. Im delighted to have stumbled upon Access when searching for a safe place for my valuables.

2022-06-29If your thinking about renting here be careful they might lock your storage for going down the staircase which is illegal and then this is a lady thats doing it shaking my head must be miserable with her life no excitement 😂😂😂😂 but didnt break our lock so hmm I guess we paid a day before this happened so whos doing illegal stuff here.....

2021-04-17This is by far the best storage! I have been a customer of Access Self Storage since 2009. Soraya the manager is extremely helpful and so is the rest of the office staff. The building guys are also great, they are always eager to assist. I have used this place for my personal and business needs. I highly recommend this place if you are in need of storage. They are now climate control which is a plus and still keep their prices reasonable. 5 stars for this wonderful team!

2021-04-02I visited Access Self Storage the other day to secure a storage cage. My visit was super easy and quick, and the representative Jeannette Aybar who helped me was so nice and professional. It was a great experience. 2 days later I came back with the moving company to store our furniture and once again, super easy and convenient.

Other than keeping my things safe and secure, they allowed me to send packages to their office while we were in the process of changing addresses.They called any time something came in for me and they knew us on sight by the time we moved out. Such a great storage place with wonderful friendly people. Would highly recommend using them!!

2021-01-27Had a great experience with them. At a stressful time Ross and Jeannette were unfailingly polite and helpful and dealt with all of the details of getting my stuff into storage during covid patiently and successfully, even with the added complication that my movers put my stuff into the storage unit without me being physically present. On top of that, they have excellent pricing for decent-sized units.
