I better like this place , used to race mini sprints back in the 80s with Gary and my step fother Dave flach , and I worked hard with my family to rebuild the track back in the early 90s to reopen the track was a lot of hard work and lots of money to keep racing each week , hope Gary and family can keep up the good hard work and enjoy all the great times and good people .
I love this track. For such a small track there is so much racing going on. The location is great, youd never think there was a racetrack there when driving up the road. The concessions are pretty good, the prices are reasonable and if you go there you will have loads of fun. Give it a shot.
Facilities are excellent, track on this night was a bit one-lane early on but came around later to make the features great! They had a lighting problem but resolved it although the program hit their curfew with one feature being unable to run. They had a large FIRST RESPONDERS NITE, an impressive event to be sure but requiring time that added to hitting the curfew. All of this was handled well by the track, so this is NOT a complaint but a complement to them. I will return to this track...
I attended the King of the Catskills race on Friday September 20, 2013 and the Gobbler race on Saturday November 30, 2013. Attending the Gobbler race with me was my daughter and her friend. I have been attending dirt track races for many years. I prefer this style of racing over ALL others including NASCAR. There is a lot of passing, side-by-side racing, bumping and banging, etc. It is quite amazing the speeds that these cars attain. The Big Block Modifieds are 800hp 467ci beasts!. For the Gobbler race the track was beautifully manicured. Whoever they had working the track is an artist. This is is a short track...however the corners are wide sweeping turns. Many recognizable names showed up for the Gobbler. There was a car from Bear Ridge in Vermont and Delaware International in Delaware. People like Stewart Friesen (Niagara Falls Canada....now lives around Albany/Utica NY) and Tim McCreadie from east of Lake Ontario NY (of World of Outlaws fame) were there. Very impressive were Anthony Perrego (won the Big Block race) and young Tyler Dippel who unfortunately was involved in a wreck. There were 3 classes of racing. The event was so well managed...hats off to whoever orchestrated all of this... Congrats to Rocky Warner (who won the big Sportsman race in Syracuse in 2012) and Charlie Houghtaling. … Good purses and lap money. WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OURSELVES. This time of year was on the cold side but there was no wind. Looks like most of the stands were full…all seats provide an excellent view (nice stands). Accord Speedway is located in the southern end of the Catskills…what a beautiful area and nice drive to the facility. The concessions offered great food too!
Expensive admission, be prepared to be covered in dirt including yourself belonginfs and vehicle.Food was good overly priced on most of the hit food.Didnt offer soups or chilli especially with the colder weather upon us.Races were excellent, staff was respectful.Only suggestion would b to offer discounted admissions oer family ect.. and Have wheather appropriate food available.. Bathrooms had no paper towels n wasnt soo clean but i expected it to b on the dirtt side as to we was at the race track!

2022-06-04Great enthusiast and family fun had by all. Track is run according to the needs and wants of their drivers and spectators. A fare priced food at concession stand. Draws in drivers and crews from all over upstate New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

2022-05-24I will never go back to this place. With COVID still a threat especially to young unvaccinated children they packed their place full. They did not have ways to sanitize your hands except by the bathrooms. There was no way to stay a safe distance away and people are so ignorant they got right next to you in your face. I left the venue earlier never ever will I go back. I would suggest that they not allow this monster truckz back here.I will be reporting them to the Health Department. We were also charged $15 to park then they allowed others to park where ever they wanted clearly not charging them. Well these individuals blocked us in so we couldn’t get out and when I went for help no one came out to assist. The only saving grace is I only paid $16 a ticket anything more than that would have been highway robbery.

2021-06-26I came here last night. Good thing I didn’t bring my children. I planned on bringing them next weekend for the firework extravaganza, although that will not be happening. The food was okay although no one wore gloves, touched other people, counters, food, there faces, yikes. Then a big fight broke out, have these people thought maybe it’s a family’s first time there, not good for children to see, although unpredicted also unprofessional. You couldn’t hear the speakers over the cars. Seems like it was much better when I was younger.

2021-10-06The Speedway is great BUT we went to Monster Truckz which was extremely over priced not only to get in but for everything. I bought 3 sodas & a lemonade & it cost & $25. EVERYTHING was way overpriced $12 for a bag of cotton candy, $18 for a tub of popcorn, never again. Plus only 5 out of 8 of the trucks could even run.

2021-09-26We did the monster trucks and it was a blast. Lost my voice screaming. I feel like a race would be something I would be interested in but it is very pricey. Not sure if it was because of the event or of thats the pricing. Also have to pay for parking.

2021-09-28We went for a monster truck show. It was very poorly run. You couldnt hear through the speakers. It was way overpriced. They said no outside food or drink but saw plenty of people who brought stuff in so apparently they werent checking. The show was to start at 2 and it didnt start til almost 230. The drivers must not have been experienced or something as they didnt perform any skills. The breakdow. and set up for the motorcycles and cannon was long. They didnt even announce intermission. freestyle was a joke they were just driving around the track. Once the show was over we left and got out and it was only 345. The show was short. It was a waste of time.
