Disagree with previous post. Recently met Chip and Kevin for work on my boat. These guys are booked sideways, no shortage of work (likely for a good reason) and a very very professional forward facing facility. You want headaches? Deal with any boat shop on the water. (i.e. As The Prop Turns soap opera sagas) These guys are the real deal. Rugged vets and Salty Dawgs. Their customer service is great under duress.UPDATE: 7/1/2015 THESE GUYS RIGGED MY BOAT IN A WAY I THOUGHT HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE. THEIR WORKMANSHIP, HONOR AND INTEGRITY IS ABOVE REPROACH. This was a major major project. They blew me away. I have gotten jerked by so many boat shops in Long island for so long, wow. Show up and do not break their balls, let them do the work and you will be blessed with the real McCoy. I rarely write recommendations. Me very happy!!!!!!UPDATE 6/10/2017 AGAIN, this shop took in my boat under a painful schedule and delivered again. Class and distinction. Here are some pics of the masterful work they did for me an it all works perfect for 3 years now!

Just dropped off my outboard lower unit for reassembly here since my local mech (All Island Marine) is backed up for the next 2 months, and the next mech (Port Jeff Marine) recommended Kevin at this location. So far looking good, should have an update later!Update:Still 5 stars for the labor. Ive been out on the water 5 times and performs as expected.Took a star off for customer service. Im not saying it was bad. The customer service did the job well, but Id give 5 stars for something exceptional. Reasons: Couldve cleaned extra grease off and told me about the condition of the engine, and informed me of additional steps I needed to do before getting in the water (RTV sealer was needed).

These guys are great! Buying a Long Island boat when out of state is very difficult, but Kevin made it easy for me to have the engines inspected and surveyed on site at the seller’s marina. Alex was an awesome mechanic, taught me things as he worked, and even attended the sea trial. You want these guys on your side of you are from out of state. Thank you!

Chip helped me out with tuning up an older outboard motor and went over and beyond by pointing out a few safety issues I was unaware of. Eric the mechanic who tuned up the motor knew exactly what needed to be done and it runs like a charm. If you need work done this is the place to go. It is worth the wait if they are busy.

I rarely write reviews but this place was definitely worthy of a 5 star review. They know their stuff, very straight shooters, no BS. Speak with Chip; hes great.

Awful customer service by owner Chip. Does not return calls and forgets that you are a paying customer, then yells at you when you question him on it. Pleasant and knowledgeable mechanics, but unfortunately impossible to deal with due to owners deceitful BS.

I have had the boat winterized there and spring tune up for 3 years now. Always great honest service. Worth the drive away from the water. Good prices also.
