Omg this place was absolutely delicious. The Margarita was on point, not watered down but perfect. The service and food where beyond delicious. It was being on the a Caribbean island with all the traditional food and drink. They earned their 5 and I cant wait to ear here again. The couple behind us said they were hooked from the first day they ate there and they now cone every Tuesday and are still satisfied.
My husband and I went here for lunch. We enjoyed the ambiance and the experience of dining in here. The food was very good! The server was very attentive. The food I got was a big portion for a small person like me but I got to take-out my lunch. Overall, it was a great lunch!
Went there on the tuesday, arpund 4pm. Found out it was Happy Hour. Ended up drinking plenty of Mojitos. They were really delicious!. The food was totally delicious, the taste right in point! Price was just right up there, not too expensive nor too cheap! Totally fair! Defenately recomend this place!
Second time eating here with my family, got 2 churrascos medium well, they came back dry and hard worst then well done, wasn’t able to eat it. Staff chilling and laughing having more fun then we were , I didn’t bother asking for another steak, first time I went the steak was perfect tho. Also the lights kept changing felt like I was at a club with a loud staff, if the business is struggling then owner you overpaying for staff
The place has nice Decor and very friendly staff adding to the vibes of the restaurant. I ordered a Lomo Saltado its a big steak dish with french fries , onions, lettuce and rice for the price of like $17. The steak is not the best i have had but its a good price for a solid dish. i asked the bartender Alejandra for her favorite red wine she had and recommended the 2018 malbac. Im a Local and will be returning because of her awesome service y personalidad. =)
I’ve been here several times and each time it gets better. They just launched a new menu which I came in to give a shot. Highly recommend the Tuna Steak with traditional Peruvian potatoes. If you enjoy Latin Food at very affordable price point, Acento is your spot. Cocktails are pretty tasty also and they use real fruit pulp. I recommend the Cosmo Rojo which you can swap out for the vodka to be swapped for tequila if that is your preference. Cosmo Rojo Acento cocktail is made with real blackberry pulp extract.
We had the tostones de ropa Viejas n carnitas. Are people de par the margaritas n monitor were really good
I have gone many times to acento, super delicious the food everything related to cooking, the service is really uncomfortable, the waiters are zero friendly, this weekend I went and sat outside I spent 1 hour to be taken care of, I really love the food, but with this type of service it is impossible to enjoy.
Have eaten about half of the menu at this point; everything is beyond delicious, great portions and drinks are fun. My go to in Astoria
I had the cubano sandwich(and as someone who usually does not eat cubanos) let me tell you, it was BOMB!! The margarita I had was also *chef’s kiss* and the service was also amazing. Will definitely come back!!

Went here for the first time the other day. Had the fish in coconut sauce and a tres leches cake for dessert. The best Ive had in a long time and maybe the best on ditmars.

The food was ok, but we received white rice instead of yellow rice with both our meals. Really not ok, we didn’t want white rice and wouldn’t have ordered. Disappointed.
I come here for date night every Thursday. The food (especially Alambre) is incredible, margaritas are delicious and super strong, the service is always excellent. Hands down my favorite spot in Astoria. They should be packed every night!
I went here with my cousin recently. The food was superb, the waitresses kind, and the atmosphere warm. Not only was pricing not that bad, but the portion size definitely made me feel like I was getting the most with my money. Highly recommend, will definitely be back.

Brunch here is delicious and inexpensive. Portion sizes are quite large. Ive eaten there twice, and have sampled multiple menu options, and I have enjoyed them all. Brunch breakfast tacos are outstanding.
The food was great and it had great music video but the only one thing that annoyed me was that when we walked in we had to show proof of vaccination, which I did not have a problem to do so. But when another couple came in no one proof them, so with that being said your staff should be more attentive on proofing all your clients.
With an extensive menu and only two tables indoors, and three tables outdoors occupied, having two waitresses approach us multiple times within 10 mins ask us if we were ready to order, made us feel rushed into ordering. Our waitress, Juliana (according to our receipt) seemed to be irritated. I ordered a diet coke, with lemon. After asking for the third time and not getting a simple piece of lemon, I cut my losses and stopped asking. The servings are generous and the prices are fair. The coated fish tacos were bland. Their flavor came from the sauce. The empanadas were also bland, as well as the steak. I thought it was interesting that there were no condiments, salt & pepper, oil and vinegar, etc. provided. The key to a great dining experience is to ensure diners have everything they need and do not have to ask for anything. I enjoy supporting the local businesses that make Astoria such a great place to live and work, but with all the dining options on Ditmars Blvd., and in Astoria for that matter, Itll be a long time (if ever) before I revisit to see if theres been any improvement.

First time trying out Latin American food and im glad i decided to give this place a try! the service was a little slow but it looked like only one person was serving so ill try to be easy. the ambience and vibe (even though outdoor seating) was also pretty nicethe waitress was honestly really friendly and provided good service!the food was honestly great and the portion sizes are huge for the price and the price for our meal was very fair!will recommend!
Be prepared to show your proof of Vax! Practically everything on the menu is delicious and drinks are fabulous too! I enjoy bringing friends and family here :)

Everything was beyond amazing , from the service to the food and the drinks . Our server Sarah was very sweet and attentive. We tried a few things on the menu because everything looked so good . We tried the bandeja paisa, tostones with GUAC and chicharrón , marisco chairs rice , empanadas , ceviche , and quesadilla . We went yesterday and are still thinking of how amazing it was . The margaritas and piña colada were also very tasty and to put the cherry on top we got churros which were so good ! We will definitely be back .
Food was good. Outdoor seating was nice. They do NOT clean the tables though. We watched guests leave, and new guests sit down at the table that was never cleaned or sanitized.Thank you to the owner for your response. I’m hoping what I saw was just a one time thing. I did see a bottle of cleaning solution and hand sanitizer inside. We will continue to support local business.
Drove thru Astoria from a quick city outing with my mom, brother and young daughter. We wanted a clean, friendly restaurant and not knowing what to expect, stopped here. The place was just what we needed. A friendly and patient waitress ( we had our elderly mom who could not decide what to eat) she was very nice and checked with us numerous times. The food was great and decent size. The price was also fair for the area. Overall satisfied. I just didnt like my soda was an actual can of diet coke which was high possibly high priced since I had no refill. with that, I will certainly recommend.

Service and food was awesome! Totally recommend. Drinks were excellent. Although, I didn’t drink, everyone else did. Margarita and Sangria drinks got an A+. Just wish there was more vegetarian/vegan options. I ordered the sides to make my dish (rice, beans and maduros) plus an avocado salad. It was delish.
The food was absolutely AMAZING! They are moderately priced but they give you so much food with each plate its absolutely worth every dollar. I only had the bistec and my friend had the ropa vieja, both were delicious, filling, came with lots of sides, and we had so much we had to take some home. They also have good happy hour deals on drinks, havent tried them yet but will update when I do!
Now that indoor dining is coming back, this is a wonderful atmosphere to do that in. The music, the staff, the projector of sports and much more is so inviting. Yes, it was still cold, door wide open, air conditioning on but the food, music and atmosphere compensate!The guacamole was fresh and tasty. The chicken, mushrooms and rice was savory. I have no complaints for this restaurant. They have adapted to Covid times yo make sure we are all safe and still serve great food. Still have a great atmosphere and music.I will be back!!!

This is a very cute, and relatively new place in Astoria. They just opened a few months ago. Its a Latin restaurant, but with a very strong Colombian cuisine as the base of the meals. Reasonable prices, and good portions of food are served. They have a small bar in the back as well.
I ordered a Cuban sandwich and it was disgusting. I had a hard chuck of pork and everything else slapped on. I threw the entire plate away. A waste of money i won’t be visiting again.

The food was really good, but the service was terrible which is surprising because they have a lot of good reviews about the service. we literally had to wait 1 hour for a refill of water 1h and 30 min for the food 30min after we ate we even had to go to the register to pay because they were taking to long to take the card.I feel bad because they looked like they were struggling, the service was horrible i will get take out next time

Sad experience.There were no more than 5 tables with most tables as two tops.Three servers and one manager/owner.Biggest rule of serving broken: Never approach a table to take an order with dirty dish-ware in your hands. The whole appearance of it diminishes the enticement of “good food.”Took 12-15 minutes for two margaritas to arrive.Servers walk on the floor as if they have nothing to do. Too much chatter behind the bar.Calamari was like eating fried rubber bands.Ceviche’s shrimp was raw on the inside with 4 lbs of onions in the mix. Entire thing lacked flavor or creativity.Cancelled the arepas because of the raw shrimp.Manager/owner who was walking around didnt even come to the table to address raw seafood.Music was nice, that’s the two stars.The End. 🙄
Cold plates lacking flavor and seasoning. Group of 8 ordered different plates which took over 30 mins. They lacked flavor, the fajitas are meant to be serve sizzling hot yet they arrived cold at the table. Not worth the wait and price.
The best addition to Astoria in years! Acento is welcoming, a wonderful friendly attentive staff and big portions that are both delectable and affordable. They also have amazing drinks. The empanadas are very good and the Pechuga en Crema de Pina is very nice. I have been five times, including once with the AstoriaCentric dinner, and they are just an incredible place. I highly recommend them.
This is probably one of my favorite places in Queens. A delicious combination of iconic Latin American dishes, great drinks, and a staff thats like family. If you find me in Queens you will certainly find me here!

2022-04-11I usually do not like to leave bad reviews, however I have visited “Acento” plenty of times and have nothing but good words say and food has always been on point; even the delivery. Superb! This weekend I visited Acento, with my family for a dinner and had a very rude server. Not only did she not attend our table but not friendly at all. She totally neglected a table of 6. Which ideally a server/waiters job should be to attend a table with upmost respect and efficiency. This server came to our table because she recognized her “friend” whom is a family member then proceeded with asking her if she was being helped. Not once did she greet the rest of the table. When I asked her if she would be helping the table, she looked at me like I had offended her. My husband had to keep asking for help. But they all stood by the cashier and ignored us. I was nothing but nice and not rude at all but with this type of service I highly doubt I’ll be back.Acento is such a great asset to the Ditmars community; it just saddens me how the staff can make a location look horrible.As other people commented the staff spendToo much time having a good time and forget there tables.

It was 3 different people having a horrible experience at your restaurant. I have been at this restaurant multiple times for over a year and the experience is always the same: terrible service. Even though I appreciate the free round of drinks (after you reading our review) I don’t go to your restaurant for free drinks, I go to your restaurant for the good food and hoping to receive good service. But that’s never the case. Instead of saying that I am a one star customer, you should use this as constructive criticism since after evaluating other 1 star reviews is obvious that we are not the only people that appreciate the good food but dislike the terrible service that is being offered at this place. Train your staff instead of discussing with me. The waiting time for the “check in” wasn’t the problem, the bad attitude and the lack of attention was.

2022-07-1037th time at this restaurant, I come back because it’s close to work and on my way home. The food is incredible. The servers are mediocre to put it gently. 30 minutes without a water refill or any questions in regards to any additional food items after we ordered appetizers. I know this all sounds like a first world problem, but if I provided horrible service to my clients I would be bankrupt. Im in real estate and one of the factors that may differentiate me from another salesperson could narrow down to service. In sales the experience may be the only thing we actually sell. Hope you enjoy the food, it’s great. But I pray you find the patience to deal with the service.
