Originally went there for their steaks but had to try the other items on the menu as well. Their appetizer spicy wings are very yummy! Everyone on the table finished it within 5 minutes! The chicken mishkaki was great tasting as well. The burger was yummy. However, the steak was just dry and very very average. Had high expectations for it but well was quite disappointed. Overall, not a bad place but if youre going for the steak only Id suggest look some place else?
I am a big fan of meat. Lets start by saying that the place here is spotless, their food is very delicious, and its quantity is far more than its given price. I have tried food around here but during this travel and I spent my two days having my lunch here.I am doing Keto diet, and the Chef happily provided me with food that follows all the guidelines of keto, he is of an excellent manner and taste, I had the chance to chat with him, and he was a delightful person.
Really disappointing. Off the bat the prices seem to be what youd pay for fine dining, but then you understand why because they give you insanely huge portion sizes which wouldnt be a problem if the food was actually good enough to eat.We ordered cheese fries, and a brisket sandwich. The cheese fries looked great initially, but the melted cheese was covering a bunch of burnt/overcooked fries and were insanely greasy (a good cm of oil at the bottom of them). Then came this brisket sandwich. I thought it would be shredded or chopped brisket on a bun, but it was full slices of the driest brisket ive ever had piled on top of coleslaw, on top of a hoagie roll. I only found the bread like 30 minutes into my meal cause there was way too much gray dry brisket. (pics included)When the waiter came to our table and asked us how the meal was, I told him it was disappointing and the problems with the fries and brisket, and he said that I could buy a drink if I wanted? and then awkwardly walked away. noice.(1/10)
I was walking along Steinway when I stumbled upon this restaurant. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in. After looking through the menu, which had so many great options, I ended up getting Beef Short Ribs (which were sooooo tender!) and Mac n Cheese with Beef Bacon. The food was amazing! To wash it all down, I had one of their Addys Specialty Drinks, Strawberry flavored. Also delicious. Cant wait to come back and try the rest of their menu.
Delicious!Very flavorful and filling. Would recommend for the whole family.AppetizersOnion rings- deliciousMasala fries- soft and well seasonedgarlic wings- heavily flavored, crispy, my favorite!jalapeño wings- the spicy flavor is well distributed throughout the flavoring and perfect for those who like spicy food!chicken tenders- great for picky kids! Personally was my least favorite fried chicken version (liked the country fried the best and the crispy chicken sandwich second)EntreesChicken Mishkaki- came out sizzling, had good flavor, came with rice, coleslaw and saladCountry Fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The sauce was DELICIOUS. The mashed potatoes were creamy. Will come back for this!Crispy chicken sandwich- a mouthful, tasted great, came with an onion ring
The worst food I ever had after a long time! Just left the food as it is and paid off! Such an utter waste of money! I came to this place before Covid a lot of times and never had a bad experience like I had today! Fries didn’t at all taste good and the BBQ ribs was full of fat with the meat minimal. Experience of the lifetime. Never visiting again!
Great all around! We started off with a mango and Pina colada Lassi, both creamy and flavorful!Moved on the garlic wings, the sauce so good I was spooning it up at the end! 😩For entrees we got the Amarillo Burger which had a cool presentation and delicious sauce! The Mixed Mishkaki was very tasty as well, even though I liked the chicken a bit more. Loved that it came out on a sizzling skillet! For sides we got the Mac n ciheese...super cheesy and good as well!Super stuffed afterwards with lunch for the next day. 🙂Will try the other menu items next time around, so many great options!Servers were very helpful in helping me choose what to get.Definitely recommend!
It is difficult to find a halal spot that serves American Entree’s in N. Y, but Addy’s Barbecue in Astoria has it all starting from wings, mac n cheese, burgers, sandwiches, quesadillas, steaks, short ribs, and chicken/beef platters. I ordered the garlic wings, Addy’s House Burger, and the Pina Colada. Everything so was flavorful and on point. The presentation for the burger was cool and the meat was tender and juicy. Not a fan of mushroom, but this burger is an exception. The service was great and Addy, the owner and chef was extremely friendly. This is a great place to stop by and enjoy your meal if your in Astoria.
Absolutely amazing!! The food was up to par with 5 star restaurants. The head chef/owner is such a kind gentleman that comes to the front to greet his guest and wait table-side. Servers were equally as nice. Their service and food has to be the best Ive seen on Steinway. The prices are reasonable compared to the massive amount of food your getting. Definitely going back!!Mango and strawberry lassis tasted almost like shakes, sweet, creamy and ice cold without ice. Whipped cream and syrup on top. Looked like 24oz cupsJalapeño poppers were super crispy, oozed yellow American with a (not so spicy) piece of jalapeño. I cant stand when restaurants serve them and theyre already busted open but these were perfectRib eye steak was ordered well done but was still juicy, comes with onions, mushrooms, seasoned mashed potatoes and a rueCountry fried steak was crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth soft steak on the inside. Came with seasoned mashed potatoes and a rueShort ribs. OMG. Do not pass on these! Worth every penny! They were literally fork tender smothered in BBQ sauce with a side of crispy onions and charred corn bread
Very good establishment. Clean and spacious. Food is good too. Love the quantity of food you get for the money. Staff is friendly. Hope they are little more attentive.do recommend burgers and wings. Picture here is bbq burger and chicken mishkaki which I dont recommend.
This place was absolutely DISGUSTING! Went in with my husband today for dinner and first off the restaurant is in such bad shape and needs major renovations They have some nerve being ridiculously overpriced for a place that looks like a literal dump and awful food. Food tasted OLD AND HORRID! Meat was not fresh at all and tasted like it was all re-heated and made days ago. We ordered the chicken mishkaki and beef short ribs. First off the ribs tasted like old meat just slathered in bbq sauce with two pieces of stale, dried up old corn bread which was hard as a rock and fried onions that were basically burnt to a crisp. Next, the chicken mishkaki was absolutely awful! It literally tasted like old left over food that you reheat in the microwave and drowned in orange food coloring and had a very weird texture. Literally felt sick to my stomach afterwards! The side salad was literally an embarrassment and was salad drowned in literally a whole jars worth of mayo and the rice was cold and absolutely tasteless! The bill came out to be around 60 dollars and for what?! My husband and I did not eat a thing and left from there starving and disgusted! Never ever going here again and would not recommend at all to anyone! Youre better off getting McDonalds.
Edit: After coming multiple more times in the past two years, their quality has slowly diminished while the price is on the rise. The taste and quality used justify the price. But definitely not anymore.First time here. Burgers are really tasty and great quality. Certified zabiha halal.
Yesterdays dinner outing to Addys Barbeque was a treat. I had to try themac n cheese which was delicious👌🏼🔥. Their Amarillo burger was delicious and thats coming from someone who doesnt like mushrooms on their burgers. I also got the juicy lucy burger which was cooked to perfection. If you think you like mango lassi then you NEED to try their piña colada lassi (so yum). Overall a great experience, will be back!
Probably one of the nicest places Ive eaten at in NYC. Great servers, chefs and all around hospitality. Theyre very welcoming and will guide you through the menu at length. The actual food is quite good, served hot and inventive. Sauces for the wings / tenders were to die for, and the rest of the menu is quite good as well. Give it a shot, youll leave a satisfied diner!
When with my entire family and really enjoy our dinner. The owner was super cool and super chill spent almost 30 to 40 minutes talking to us. And was very humble and kind and friendly And down-to-earth. Made us feel just like home. Was super impressed with their service.
The service was great and quick, and the food was delicious and refreshing. Bathrooms were nice, could be cleaned a bit more but otherwise, more sanitary than your average restaurant bathroom. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it was beyond delicious. The only reason this place doesn’t have 5 stars is because it’s a bit pricey but it’s well worth the price. I look forward to visiting Addy’s BBQ every time im in the area.
Don’t really write much. It would take a lot for me to even write a bad review. (Currently still here) I walked in around 9:20 was asked to be seated outside. Waiting close to 20 minutes for someone to take out order. When I went inside to call someone to order he immediately came out and helped take the order. We received the first order close to 40 minutes later after ordering. 15 minutes later we got our appetizers??? And I’m still here 1 hour plus waiting for the second meal. Maybe ordering ahead of time might be good. But this place reallly needs to hire more staff as there is ONLY ONE WAITRESS. Very disappointed. Drive 1 hour to eat here leaving hungry still with no food. Very bad service
Got food poisoning after eating their burger. What they sell as a brisket is not a proper brisket. The ribs were good. They really need to handle their meat properly so their customers dont get sick. I dont know about other halal smoked meat restaurants around the area but I would tell you to look elsewhere.
Beautiful employees super sweet absolutely attentive to our needs. Treated us with so much respect, such beautiful souls honestly. Treated us like family members created such a friendly environment, and their food was so so so delicious!! Definitely going back here, these people deserve all the hype, such beautiful souls.
The food was amazing. I got a chicken sandwich and a 1/4 pound burger. I would advise sticking to the main menu and not making it a combo because the french fries are expensive but not worth it. The price of the rest of the food is justified by how good it is and the hospitality u receive.
Just has dinner there. We ate outdoors which was hot and filled with mosquitos. They brought us the wrong food and when we asked them why it was cold and why the order was wrong the chef came outside and got defensive claiming it was straight out of the fry-er. 5 mins later he came out and admitted that he gave us the wrong order and brought out some more fresh-ish food. We ate it but it was pretty flavorless and looked like it had been frozen and re-heated. To top it off me, my husband and toddler all have upset stomachs. I think something had some bad .... The pineapple juice was definitely told (it was brown lol) and the mishkaki has an odd texture not sure if it was beef.Yikes. Dont eat here. My poor stomach.
The food was great, We got a filet mignon, a Juicy Lucy burger, and a Mix Miskashi. The filet mignon, which we got medium rare upon their recommendation which was very nice of them, and Juicy Lucy were absolutely amazing. I personally didnt like the Miskashi as much, but my parents loved it. The staff was very nice and they even gave us a free bubble tea for my birthday! Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and well definitely be coming back.
Was really hungry and the kids were craving for burgers. So stop by at addy’s Barbecue at Astoria. I usually don’t like to write reviews but I felt like if I don’t write it would be wrong. The owners don’t have any ideas about the food they have in the menu. I don’t know about the chef’s if they are knowledgeable about their foods. It’s horrible service and the burgers are supposed to be juicy unless u asked extra well done. The burgers were dried up and the sizzling dish wow wow the terrible dish I tasted. They gave us rice and salad on the side but the salad has sands when u bite the salads it’s all sands they never washed the salads. Please have knowledge about the food and learn about service also. Thank you
Food was promptly served & the menu offered a variety of options -everything was good! The owner is passionate, diligent & determined to ensure the dining experience is satisfactory. The mac & cheese and Juicy Lucy Burger were exceptional! The sauce provided w/the streak was quite flavorful & the environment is suitable for a quick bite or family style dining. Overall, a restaurant that offers tasty food & exceeds expectations on all fronts. I definitely expect to visit again and recommend w/confidence
We have to give a 5 star rating. We were greeted promptly by our friendly server. The Chef and the server made sure there were no tomato ingredients in my food as I am highly allergic to tomatoes. The Chef came out personally to talk with me and even hand delivered my delicious meal. The food was phenomenal and the service exceptional. We really love it here. The prices are great and definitely worth your money for the quality of food you are getting. It is delicious and exquisite cuisine.
We came in a party of 8-10 people, the restaurant was closing but the owner reopened the kitchen, was so caring and promised us his best. He delivered, it was Excellent Burgers and Fries!!!!!!Highly recommend bringing family and FriendsThe Owner is so passionate about CookingJust Epic Steaks and all Halal!!!!!Definitely a must if your in the area, check out their Instagram page as well. 👍👍👍
Had the cheeseburger deluxe and order of buffalo wings. The place is take out only with tables to sit and eat, so no tip necessary. The cashier was a sweetheart and polite. The burger came with fried onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, ketchup and toasted sesame buns. The meat was juicy, fries were more similar to give guys fries the onion rings I think were of the frozen variety very minced. The buffalo wings were not good. Sauce was very good but the wings were super soggy. Felt like they were either boiled or over-sauced. With it placed in the takeout container it fell right off the bones but way too soft for buffalo wings. Burger 4 stars wings 2 stars. Average 3. Still would come back and try some of the real BBQ items.
Absolutely amazing service!!!! Doesn’t matter what you order, it’s absolutely delicious. I prefer the hells burger because I love spicy food. The wings are very good too. Chef is amazing and kind and gets to know his customers. Loves to see people enjoy his food and shares stories. Would reccomend highly!!!
Probably one of the best halal barbecue restaurant/grill in Queens. It’s nice and simple inside, the staff and customer service was excellent, and the ribeye was definitely worth trying. Their portions are large, prices are not too bad for the type of food especially being halal, and the flavors in general seem very authentic to barbecue. I would definitely recommend since two people can have a nice meal for about $45. We did have one issue with part of our order, and the staff were very quick to fix it. People make mistakes sometimes, but how they deal with it makes all the difference. I will be going here again in the future.
Had high expectations based on the reviews. Either their food quality nose dived or I had an one off experience. Everything was overwhelmingly salty.... from the wings to steak to the burgers ... across board salt overload. At least the place was halal but honestly I came out thinking I just spent a 100 dollars on good but the only thing I enjoyed was the coke zero.
What a great find! This place has a great casual atmosphere with exciting food options that taste great! I had the Chili Cheese burger which was anything but the basic burger I was expecting. Loaded with flavor and kicking with spice. I cant wait to come back to try the signature Addys Amarillo House Burger. Addy even paid us a visit to check in on us. Great guy and great food! Cant say enough.
A great place to hangout and have good meals. They have some very good burgers and sandwiches with appetizers as well. You can make an order meal (comes with fries and soda) or you can order solo. I wish they offer some dessert; apart from this its must go. On top, its HALAL.
Ive been to addys twice before corona and i loved it. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly. However, today I went from brooklyn to addys for takeout and it was horrible. I ordered the food over the phone and had to tell the person my order multiple times and despite that when i went to pick up my order items were missing. When i told them that the waiter told us to order again and wait half an hour instead of apologizing he just walked away without hearing us out. We decided to not order again and left. When i opened my food the amarillo burger had chicken tenders for a patty and barely any of those too. There was no cheese and no tomato and they didnt put any utensils not even napkins in the bag. Worst experience ever! Never going to this addys location ever again!
Visited on 5/10/19. The food was delicious but the service was some of the worst Ive ever experienced.First, the service. The service was incredibly bad. We sat down and got menus 17 minutes after we sat down and we were given no water until after we ordered. We saw the waiters take orders from a table, put their menus to the side and STILL not give us menus after we asked for them. They took orders of tables that came and sat down after us. While eating, we never got any refills of water even though we were asked how the food was. We had to ask for refills ourselves after we got the check. After eating we asked for the check several times and were not given it until much later and after the waiters took our payment we didnt get our cards back for a while. The service was extremely lackluster and frustrating. Now, the food was impeccable. We ordered the garlic wings which were really good and the chicken quesadilla which was amazing! We ordered the Juicy Lucy and the Double Cheese Burger which were actually really heavy and delicious. However, I personally believe that service makes up a lot of the experience in a restaurant and so I would not have left a tip, if not for the forced tip that they add on top of your bill for just dining in.
Great place for quick bite & fine dining. Wide range of menus including appetizers, wings, burgers, stakes and drinks.Don’t forget to try their stakes and burgers, they are really exceptional in taste.Very busy restaurant so prior reservation will be better but not necessary.Street parking available.
I have become a regular since their food is ridiculously delicious and outstanding . The service is great and friendly. I just met the owner, Addy, in Astoria, such a jewel - very humble and extremely friendly. My dad and fiance are big fans of Addy’s food as well. Astoria has just had the best restaurant with competitive prices and great quality. Pick anything from the menu even you have never tried/ heard it before, trust me, you won’t regret it.Such a great and friendly environment, machaalah
If I can give 0 stars, I would!! Only because owner does not know anything about providing good customer service! Although I nicely asked if I can change my order because buffalo wings were too spicy for me, he refused! Not considerate at all! He yelled at me and told me I can write this one star review! I was planning on going back because burger was actually good, but I will be going somewhere else where I receive good customer service and delicious food at the same time! Owner is an a-hole! Ridiculously rude, I feel bad for the employees working there!
The experience my wife and I had is awesome. The service they provided was exceptional. Food was served quick and it was really delicious with large portions served with smiles. I would give 10 out of 10 on that. However, Im giving out 3 stars for adding an automatic gratuity on the bill for party of two. Yes some restaurants add gratuity for party of 4 or more, although technically they not supposed to do that but they do it anyway and I personally have no problem with that as long as they provided good service that satisfied their customers. But having that automatically added on the bill is a rip-off especially when you know you cant always provide service that you promised and satisfy the needs of your customers.
****Over Charged for not so good dinner***Ordered Steak, ribs and Mac and cheese..Ribs and steak were not at all good and Mac N cheese was okay and they have charged 88$ for that..felt it is way high compared to the queens area..wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I use to go to the location in Teaneck, New Jersey. Now I come here because its actually closer from the Bronx. Put it like this, if the only location for Addys Barbeque was miles and miles away I would be burning toll and gas. I never had halal steak better than Addys Barbeque. Not just halal steak, halal jerk wings, macaroni cheese, mango lassi, and everything else is delicious. ALL HALAL. Scenery is high fashion, and you get the most for the price. Anyone around the area craving food, taking friends or family to eat, I would highly recommend Addy Barbeque in Astoria.
Delicious halal barbeque. Their burgers are small, but artisan. Their wings are decent. The hot wings can get very hot, but if youre used to heat, their most spicy wings will be no match for you. Pro tip: they have a second restroom downstairs. You might have to make sure you take some paper towels down with you, though.
I stopped by here with a friend for dinner last night. We ordered the garlic wings, chicken mishkaki and short ribs. Everything was delicious. The servers were very attentive and fast. We both were very satisfied with our meals. I would definitely recommend this place if you want some yummy halal food.
We came right before maghrib during ramadan as a party of 10 people which definitely meant it would take a while for our food to be ready. But we waited over an hour and half for food and the buns were cold. We were provided with 2 bottles of water and sufficient glasses. Really tested our sabr though.
What is customer service? Yeah I dont think any of the servers know what that is at this spot. I went with 4 other friends and the foods came at 3 separate times. 3 of my friends got their food and finished eating with me and the other friend was just watching them eat. Not enough space in the restaurant for servers to walk around. Be aware of the Hells burger, that thing is 10/10 spicy, youve been warned. The burger does taste good dont get me wrong. If can handle SUPER spicy then go for it.
I just gave myself a food coma and I wanna go back for more. I havent had anything from the menu that was bad. This time I had the hells burger with cheese fries and the atomic wings and they were all amazing. Couldnt ask for better service either. We had Milo and he was the best. Cant wait to go back
I have visited this location 4 times already and every single time it’s Been amazing! The food never disappoints and neither does the service. The chicken and beef mishkaki is definitely one of my favorite dishes. It’s super flavorful and juicy. Also, love love the Mac n Cheese. The atomic wings have a good kick and are delicious. The burgers are huge and definitely flavorful 👌🏼My current favorite dish is the bbq short ribs. It’s pretty sweet but it comes with this amazing cornbread on the side and fried onions. Its amazing. The cornbread was so good I actually ordered two extra’s to go!! I highly recommend this place to everyone! Mr. Addy has personally come out and greeted us twice out of the 4 times I’ve been there. The hospitality and food unmatched!
One of the worst experiences we had. The owner making one person run the entire show. The supervisor/waiter/cashier all in one. They served us $7.50 of wet fries drenched in some kind of karahi sauce. We were clearly not expected to eat wet fries. A masala fries should still be crispy otherwise whats the point. But it wasnt about $7.50 it was the fact that it took 45 min to get the order and another 30 min to get the check and that was only when we all stood up. Funny enough the owner was already fighting with some customer when we first sat down. Should have turned around. Never again.
First time here and enjoyed the food. Also happy to see a spot like this in Astoria. The foods pretty good here.Would recommend: The masala wings. Theyre not on the menu but they use whatever it is on the masala fries to make the wings. Really liked these and am will check out the other wings next time.I also has some sort of cajun burger which I wasnt to crazy about. It just had too many spices and too much sauce. It just wasnt for me. I thought the meat was well cooked and seemed like it would be good on its own. My friend who I went with had something more classic and enjoyed it. Worth giving it another try with a different sandwich.
A trip to addys bbq is not something you will forget anytime soon!the food is just phenomenal. The portions of everything you order are huge but the none ingredients or ifood items mask each other but rather complement each other in the best way! The jerk wings are so crispy yet juicy and creamy. The mac and cheese requires no words as none will do it justice. And the burger is one of the best i have ever had. Its so juicy and drowned in mushroom sauce which is honestly one of the best thing i have ever tasted. Amazing experience. Service is great.
The mishkaki are so good! They come with a side of really phenomenal rice and a salad. Its enough food I have leftovers, but Im not complaining about that. The masala fries are too spicy for me but my husband loved them. Thank goodness for the mango lassi, which was delicious. Not too sweet and cut through the spice. Note: the chicken and beef mishkaki are not spicy. This hit an Indian food craving perfectly. But I kind of like it better in some ways. The mishkaki come on a cast iron skillet. I love dishes like that.
Tldr; got steak and it was pretty good while the gravy made 10x better.I went to the long island location before so ik this place would be similar.I order ribeye steak and my friend also ordered some other kind of steak that came with masala fries. I personally really liked the masala fries, kinda craving it right now acutally haha. My steak was really good, it was a medium well, pretty juicy so I enjoyed it. The gravy is what caught my attention because dipping pieces of the steak into the gravy was surprisingly very good. Hard to describe but the flavor was just so incredible, I loved it. The steak also came with fried mushrooms and mashed potatoes, both of which were good. Definately the best meal I had in while.
The good. Halal. The bad. Almost everything on the menu. It shouldnt be called BBQ because its actually a middle eastern Western (con)fusion. We ordered a chilli cheese burger and they served the burger patty separately. Whats up with that? Floors also greasy AF. Pretty bad experience overall.
I been to this place with my friends before and never had a problem but this time we had a horrible food experience. Food quality is very LOW and felt like we are better off in McDonald’s. We like food. We dont mind spending money on gooooood meal. Service was horrible....horrible...horrible. Also, they charge 15% gratuity which I dont mind but you have to do great service for that.
I write this as I am sitting at the restaurant. Just in case I forget. Came to this spot because of people raving about it so much. A person who eats halal and had many steaks in his life, this steak by far was one of the worst. I asked for a Medium (I had medium cooked steak many times such as Creekstone) and this was so chewy and flavorless! Told the waiter about my experience and all he said was sorry. No mention of if I wanted a new one or if I wanted anything else. They are so understaffed!! I witnessed every minute that someone was always calling a waiter because the waiter missed something from their order. I try to stick to having halal steak at upscale restaurants where they serve creekstone meat. But wanted to give this a try and turned out to be a fail! Btw also ordered Cajun wings and they were great! That’s the only reason I gave it a 1 star. Please don’t walk in here and expect to have the best steak or even a good steak. Try else where!
I few people had previously recommended Addys BBQ to me, so my husband and I decided to go. I was extremely pleased with the food. The chef has magic in his hands. The flavors seasonings, serving everything was just grrat. What made it even more perfect was the fact that everything is Halal... They should definitely open more branches.
The place looks nice but unfortunately the food isn’t that good. I had a sense that the waiter that was servicing us was new because her recommendations didn’t really meet her description of the food and she took longer than usual time to recommend us food. The steak isn’t terrible but I feel it’s a little pricey for the taste. Pretty good mash potatoes though.
All I can say is I love this place, food tastes amazing, even though I wanted to eat in but due to covid , however brother Mushtaq (owner) was an amazing personality, just amazing 👌 gave us an outstanding service, FYI if you want to order take out then order ahead! Hope to see him again ☺️, forgot to take the pics of the rest of the order... 😂 Oh almost forgot, if you wish to eat zabiha 100% halal , these guys are certified!!! 💯
I just don’t understand why this place has no concept of water. I went with 6 friends, never gave us water. And then after one of us asked for water he gave a jug and one class. Seriously 1 glass . And then when we asked for more glasses he gave 4 more. Idgi . Second time that they just can’t comprehend how to serve water in here.
My name is Lily ..I was going shopping passed by saw this restaurant and I cant believe the taste of food so much flavour and a good amount of food I choose the Chicken Mishkaki which is served in a hot plate hot dish and rice in another plate with salad on side..the chicken pieces are like cubes ,meat not dry not hard and the flavour amazing and dish I had is from Kenya Africa ..they have burgers ,which lolk delicious and french fries are not small ..so I highly recommend this restaurant for family and friends..oh I cant forget the waitress..she is fantastic ,welcoming ,smile on her face and very good service ..this girl knows her work ,its nice to see a owner that chooses good workers ..even the guy that pick up dishes ,speaks polite and works fast too.The owner is very nice man and I had to compliment him on his great food ,service ,staff and lets not forget ..A CLEAN BATHROOM ..
Mashaa Allah100% halalAfter long time I had such amazing foodSpecially RIB EYE STEAK AND Jucy Lucy Berger out of this worldWe loved it so much I asked a waitress we want to meet the chef and he came out immediatelyWhat a great guyThis place deserves 7 starI would definitely comeback and highly recommended
I went with a group of 6 Muslim women and we were easily accommodated, even at prayer time.💖 The food was amazing!!!🤗 I had the BBQ Beef Sort Ribs.😋 Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals and delicious lassie drinks in unique flavors like piña colada.🥥 This is a great place to have a reasonably priced meal and a wonderful time with friends and family.
KENYA 🇰🇪Queens Tribune/Eat the World NYC review:Today for the Queens Tribune we follow the story of Adnan Khan, who goes by Addy and has a brand new restaurant in Astoria, his first in New York City. Born in Kenya but with a path around the world to finally land in the USA, Addy has had another location in Teaneck, NJ for three years now. His menu is primarily US American foods made for halal eaters, but Addys skill makes the burgers and the rest of his cooking stand above the rest for anyone that finds their way here. For the moment, a brief introduction to the cuisine of Kenya can be found with his mishkaki, served slightly differently than you might find on Kenyan streets but just as delicious. As business grows and a customer base is firmly in place, Addy plans to expand those Kenyan items for a city that otherwise has a real lack of East African foods.

2022-01-03Food tasted good but was surprised to see the quantity and price of some items. the butterfly shrimp is $14.50 but only six pieces are given. bacon cheese fries are $17.50. guess this place is $$ for a reason but wouldnt come back as often. we were the only ones there at the steinway place on a sunday afternoon so our orders came quickly and judging by the other two groups that came later, they also got their stuff quickly. their bathroom is gender neutral and also has a hand held bidet, which is quite amazing.

2022-06-13This was a quick stop by and I need to go back to fully experience this place. Addy’s BBQ was absolutely delicious. The location provided indoor and outdoor dining. The seating arrangements were very comfortable as well. Though the space looks small, it was large enough to hold multiple parties and still provide some intimacy. Though I was there during downtime, it quickly got busy and my server was a bit overwhelmed but she did a fantastic job. Overall I will come back here to experience it once again.Food:BBQ Beef Ribs - 10/10 - OMG OMG OMG. Yes 3 OMG for this meal. Wow. What a succulent and delicious meal. The tenderness of these beef ribs was unreal. You can tell it was well cooked but not burnt, it was not over seasoned nor was there an overwhelming amount of bbq sauce. I loved how soft the meat was and how easily it was to chew and swallow. I recommend this to anyone who is a beef lover. The cornbread was okay, my wife makes better, forgive me I am bias. The deep fried onions were not my thing, so no real comment on them. The sweet potato fries were just that sweet and delicious nothing to review on that.Overall this meal is absolutely fantastic I can not wait to try something else when I go back.Total spent on meals 30 dollars

2022-02-28Food wasn’t too bad, but the way they trick you with the bill is unacceptable. When the server presents the check, she announced the total amount and shows the device, all you see is tipping options and to sign.. and they don’t tell you that they already included 10% service charge and 3.5% credit card fee, which I feel it’s illegal to do so, and then you think that they didn’t include the tip, so I ended up pressing another 15% .. and then they ask you weather you need the receipt or not, usually I don’t care, but something tells me to check it, when I asked for it only I saw the surprising rip off.. around 30% I paid extra. Be aware people!!!!

2021-10-10Very slow service. Got the seats quick but took too long for the waiter to come back. Food was average for a one time try. Nothing to hype up about. Becareful of the oil splatters from the sizzling dishes.

2022-04-17Best halal American BBQ in Queens. If you must be halal this is the place to be. Almost as amazing as non halal places. Staff is quick and friendly. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Would highly recommend. The atomic wings unfortunately are not spicy. Thats that only thing I would say is best to avoid.

2021-09-26The server was friendly and cool. I liked how the short ribs had a subtle sweetness and were soft. The Juicy Lucy was a massive portion that satiated my stomach. The Mac and cheese was decadent as well. Overall, would go here again. :)

2022-01-15Stopped by today and had an order of Cajun wings & 1/4 lb burger. The sauce on the wings was good but the chicken had a bad taste… wing meat wasn’t fresh. I took a few bites from the burger only to see the burger patty was raw. I got up, paid the bill and informed the server after I paid the bill. They were disappointed and offered to recook or replace the burger. I respectfully declined and left. Disappointed and very surprised because Astoria filled with tons of great halal options.

2022-04-21The food lost so much quality it’s been going downhill but the prices haven’t. Appearance is good but the food is just completely not worth the priceEdit: went again to go see if they got better. They charge 3% fee to use your credit card. What? Gratitude fee is 10%, credit card fee is 3%, plus the customary 15% for tip. That’s 28%

2021-06-02I waited 40 minutes for my food. The meat in my burger was ice cold in the middle of the patty. My friends experienced the similar issue. The actual burger meat was so soft and didnt feel like meat because of how undercooked it couldve been. Who knows? My friends and I couldnt finish our meals other than a few appetizers. You can see the image attached, judge for yourself.Customer service was friendly. The owners son and I created dialogue so our disappointment was acknowledged. He asked how the food was and my friends and I were honest.
