Terrible food. Cole slaw was the worst I ever had. My girlfriends burger was over cooked and terrible. I ordered a full rack of these supposed famous ribs for 22 bucks and yuck. A cheap rack of meat of mostly fat, boiled probably with a smear of BBQ sauce on it. Would not recommend it to anyone else and will not be back again.
Dinner for 7 of us including my grandsons son-in-law 2 daughters my wife and myself great meal. The service was exceptional perit was exceptional. The waitress took the time time to explain if Blaine specials and dishes that we were ordering and what was in them. Made sure that we had refills on all of our drinks including adult beverages. Took extra special care of my grandson and paid extra attention to him. All in all I recommend this place to any and all who pass through Lake George and its surrounding area.
We came in and the place was nearly empty. We received our menus. Very generic menu, sandwiches, burgers, etc. I ordered the Adirondacker which is shaved beef with pepperonchinis and onions in a spicy sauce in a roll. It was a good concept and was okay. The burger was mediocre at best, and fries were bland but edible. The crab cakes were average but a plus for not having too much filler. My side salad was fresh because their veggies came from the farm stand next to the restaurant which was definitely a plus. The issue was service was slow for us being one of the only tables there. Server was nice but could have been more attentive considering we were her only table. Overall, just average and nothing blew me away.
Went in for a lunch with co-workers, we all had burgers or wraps of some kind. Our food came out quick and was tasty, our server was efficient and friendly. The decor was interesting inside and gave the feeling that you were definitely in the Adirondacks. I got a pretty picture of some icicles outside...
Food was good. Service was also fine. Ordered a southwest chicken wrap with tortilla chips. Skimped on the salsa but flavor was there. Ive eaten the french dip before and it was good. 3 stars to me represents a place I would go back too. Average to slightly above average.
We were going to go to the barbecue place next door to the Adirondack Bar and Grill, but they were pretty much sold out of everything. I dont know what their food is like, but I couldnt have been happier with the service and food we got at the Adirondack Bar and Grill. You wont be disappointed.
$22.99 per entre is a little steep for our area. Staff was very good. My meal was cold under cooked I never send anything back but really was hungry so I chanced it. Meal came back out perfect temp was pretty good. Nice sized portions. 3 stars because price and under cooking.
All I can say about this place is not to go during the earlier hours. We are mighty picky about where we take our family to eat and this last time was for a birthday no less. Typically we have an amazing time... The service was terrible this time. I tried to over compensate with jewelry compliments and sympathy and all i got in return was the displeasure of watching another table be seated, place their order and be served before we even got our coffee. When she finally realized we were there she put her hair down over her face and was shaking her head at me because I asked for romaine lettuce....we brought my in laws so we could share with them our favorite spot and now my fiance doesnt even want to go back. I know it wont add up right away but eventually our $150 monthly contribution will be missed by your establishment and you can thank your waitress who brags about her 20 years of experience.... I guess she was serving in a prison?
We love this place. Good bat. Has a cozy Fire place room. A couple of tables by the front windows get cold when the main entry is opened. Outside deck with heater attract a lot of snowmobiles. Their burgers and French Dip were great. I really love the sweet potato fries with raspberry dipping sauce. It is like dessert during supper.
My friend and I have stopped in for a later dinner a couple times after a long day fishing some regional lakes. Ive always had the buffalo chicken wrap we split the loaded nachos (its pretty big) the food has been good and the beer has been cold and never has a stale one. Its good old classic Americana food at reasonable prices and in a typical bar setting Ive personally never had a bad experience and when Im in the area later this summer I will be stopping by for that wrap and some nachos.
Ate there for lunch, definately not what I expected for the price. We ordered the Canadian mounty could barely find the chicken and Canadian bacon the tomato slice was bigger then both of them. For a sandwich that cost more than $10 it was pitiful. Our server had the personality of a wet mop. Weve gotten better service and food at a car hop on 22A in Granville called Jens Pitstop. Where the food is fantastic and the staff is super friendly.
My experience here was not great at all. Waited for quite a while to get menus, then a lot longer for a server. Food took quite a while to come out, and when it did, it was terrible. Medium rare steak was served VERY well done, french fries cooked in really dirty oil, and the Reuben is made with the cheapest quality deli meat possible; I could have got a better Reuben from Subway. This place cant be proud of the quality of food they serve...
We stopped her last weeekend after finding out or preferred location next door was closed for the season. We sat as a table of 9 with 4 kids. I knew it wasn’t going to be a good dinner once the waitress didn’t know what an IPA was.We received our order in sections which would have been okay if the first round of meals didn’t come out less than Luke warm.Buffalo Alfredo fettuccine was coldChicken parm was way over cookedKids meals were nearly last to be served and should have prioritized and served first.None the less we will not be back! Suggest visiting the neighbors for BBQ instead of this joint.
It was okay they had a limited selection of beers on tap, which kind of surprised me, because I like a good craft beer, and because Adirondack Brewery I assumed they would. Happy hour offered I think $0.50 off tap beers, place was deserted except for the locals which all seem to have everything but their name etched into the bar still so if youre sitting in one of their seats you will get the cold shoulder and even be asked to move
Visited on 8/11/2014Stopped in for a quick bite on our way up to Lake George. It was shortly after 130pm and there was only one other table occupied. Seemed there may have been another table or two occupied on the patio. One waitress assigned to everyone, and service was a bit slow, but we werent in a huge rush.Prices were reasonable, sandwiches were phenomenal, as were the sweet potato fries, but the regular fries were only slightly warm and very soggy. They were obviously re-heated and not cooked to order. A shame too, because the spicy/shaved steak sandwich that they accompanied was absolutely delicious. My wifes cheeseburger was equally delicious.Cell service (Verizon) was non-existent, and although the establishment provided WiFi, it was tricky to log in/obtain a signal.Casual, laid back atmosphere with a few TVs as well. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. All in all a decent visit. The only other item I would speak to were the couple of flies/bugs flying about, buzzing our food. I attributed this to being in the woods and it was only slightly annoying. Again, we were on vacation.
We visited on Saturday during Americade. There was one bartender at the inside bar that was apparently overwhelmed although there were not very many people inside. The bartender had a horrible attitude that made our visit and the other patrons visit very unenjoyable. We both ordered the $22 steak dinner which had no flavor, the mashed potatoes were cold, which only added to our poor experience. Not sure where the breakdown in service originated. Being understaffed and unprepared for the busiest night of this annual event. Or the bartender just not having the skills and personality to handle her job adequately. Very dissppointed.
My daughter and I wanted to try something new and found ABGs menu in a special insert in the post-star. I ordered an appetizer crab with Asiago cheese and french bread toast, came out looking like baked cat food in a dish, took one bite, it was horrid, pushed it away, asked to order a cheeseburger. Waitress looked at it and ignored it. Never asked me if it was okay, or even if I wanted it boxed to take home! It was almost like she knew how bad it was!! Cheeseburger came out, tasting like it was cooked over gas flame, left that there too. My daughter ate about 3 bites of a southwest chicken wrap. Didnt take anything home with us. Service was slow, and and completely unconcerned with our experience. JUST AWFUL!
A party of 3: we stopped in for an early dinner after a long day of catfishing. Nice selection of beer on tap, attentive wait staff large meaty/ crispy hot wings & a tasty cheeseburger cooked as ordered. The following week, we stopped in again, another great experience. Our 3rd catfishing trip (last week) we tried a place in Whitehall that was VERY disappointing. We will be going back to Adirondack Bar & Grill after our last spring catfishing trip on Wednesday!!! Great food for a great price!
While the atmosphere is cozy (if you consider the rustic woodsy vibe to be cozy) the food is for the most part unremarkable. The burger was decent and had a good char but the fries were... interesting. The Adirondacker, while cooked well, was basically just an open-faced cheese steak with pepperoncinis. It was plenty spicy, but didnt have a ton of flavor. My favorite was actually the macaroni salad. Fair warning: it contains tuna fish.
We stopped here on a whim after a long day in the car, diving from Western PA to Killington VT.... What a lovely surprise. The food was spot on. I had the pork Osso bucco, which was perfectly braised but I loved that they finished it in the oven to give it a crust- beautiful contrast to the mushroom gravy. My husband had the Adirondacker, raved about it. The atmosphere is upbeat and my kids totally loved the cool taxidermy.

2022-07-07Was a little concerned as it took a while to get noticed after we seated ourselves. But then the waiter came and was very accommodating. He asked for our drink and food order. Drinks came a little slow, and salads a little later. Had time to finish our salads and chat awhile before the main course came, and man they hit it out of the park. I had ordered the pork osso bucco the pork was done to perfection, moist and flavorful and falling off of the bone. It also came with broccoli and a baked potato. The brocolli was steamed perfectly, and baked potato was very good also. No complaints other than we went on a night when the chef was out. Am really wanting to see how much better it will be with the normal chef on board. Will definitely be going back. 5 stars from my satisfied tastebuds!!! Bravisimo!!!

2021-10-08Arrived at 8:45pm and was so grateful to be able to order a delicious meal rather than fast food that late at night. Staff was happy to have me. Food served quickly. Get the sweet potato fries! Theyre served with a delicious sweet berry sauce and so good. I have to be in the area every Wednesday night for the next 10 weeks and I took their takeout menu so I can order in advance.

2021-08-18Stopped by while traveling through the area, good crowd, definitely a locals favorite. Service was fast and attentive, I don’t remember her name, but our waitress was top notch, we were waited on and served our food within 15 minutes of arrival. Waitress was attentive, personable and quickly inquired as to our satisfaction and the quality of our food. Deli sandwich was delicious, grilled cheese was better than expected! Sweet potato fries were fantastic, thick and well prepared. Prices were very reasonable. I will definitely stop again and we recommend then! It’s worth the trip!
