Never, and I repeat, NEVER book through this airport in the winter. Both flights we booked to and from them were canceled and as a result we had to have my family drive us to Boston for a connecting flight. Their runways were iced over when we arrived in Boston in Dec and when we went to leave in Jan they were STILL iced over, and although we contacted them the previous night and they sated all was well, the following morning I received a notification that the flight was cancelled. Now the airline refunded our tickets both times, however it took a lot of time away from my already short leave. I am furious at the airport management for this as I was later made aware of the fact that they most likely knew that the airfield was going to be closed, but did not even bother putting out a NOTAM or any notification until the last moment, but I cannot expect precision from civilian agencies.

No reflection on airport itself (which I would rate a 5) but sole operating company called Cape Air. They show up whenever and if they feel like it. Sometimes not at all, other times delayed or canceled. I flew through them a whole bunch of years and 75% of the time return trip to Boston was canceled. they have shuttled us 1 hour north once to fly around the universe to eventually get to Boston. Just about every trip they have to compensate me for screwed up reservations by rebooking all flights ( I get no money back) and arriving home up to 2 days late.One year flight was scheduled for 7. Pilot casually walked in at 9, at 10:30 we were told that he looked at the plane and heater was not working. All of us sat in the airport since 6. Then they shuttled us to Plattsburg at 11:45. We flew out at 6pm to boston. Since they had to rebook everything I made it back to florida 9am the next day after flying to Texas first.If Cape Air tried.... they would be splendid little airline... instead they take straight losses every time. Shrugs.

Staff with cape air were unhelpful and impolite. I do not recommend for anyone to fly with cape air out of this airport. If I could describe the staff with one word it would be “miserable”

Cavu cafe is open after a two week hiatus. Awesome food, great price.

Friendly linemen at a beautiful location. The Cafe on the airport served an excellent lunch.
