Over the last 3 years, we have repeatedly called ADT for help, only to be ignored and dismissed. When and IF we received help, the servicemen had no idea why they were here, what they needed to fix, or how to fix it. Our alarms went off during store hours, in the middle of the night, and even the panic button stopped working, and they didnt even bother to send a new one when the service man came to check on the rest of the system. Again he had no idea what we needed or why he was there. They are not helpful, considerate, or professional. We are disgusted and appalled by the service we have received as a business working with ADT. We will NEVER use their services at any of our stores ever again!

I highly recommend ADT to anyone thinking about their services. It brings a peace of mind to your household and especially your children’s safety. I recently had ADT install their new system and had the greatest experience. Our technician, Sean, was the friendliest technician we could have asked for. I have a very curious one year old and he followed Sean almost everywhere. He was great with my son and even sang him the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song. We hope to have him back if we ever decide to add or upgrade ADT features in the future. By the time Sean left, I felt like I could navigate the system confidently on not only the system itself but on my phone as well. He made sure I understood everything from what he installed, to my codes, to when I use certain codes and the best way to go about my safety features. I feel grateful to have had such a wonderful technician and will recommend ADT to anyone who I think could benefit from it!

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If I could give zero stars I would but that’s not an option. Don’t waste your time with them! I had an alarm system with them, moved and transferred the system with me. I had been a customer for four years. Then Covid hit, and I lost my job as did several people unfortunately. I was forced to sell my home because I couldn’t afford it anymore. ADT now wants over $400 from me for terminating my “contract” early. I couldn’t transfer the system to my new apartment as the have a bulk agreement with another company and I couldn’t transfer the system to the person that bought my house because go figure they “had previous customer service issues with ADT and will never use them again!” Don’t even give me the generic response to contact you or that a manager would be happy to speak with me as that’s not true at all. I’ve called several times and have been passed off to several people but nobody wants to talk to me, it’s always someone else’s problem. Horrible Customer Service Stay Away!

ADT is the security specialist every one should go with. Thier technicians are polite ,clean,and respectful of your property. They can answer any of your questions or concerns, and make sure before they leave you, that you understand and can work the security system they installed for you.

Im so disappointed and angry with ADT!!! I have been a customer for 20+ years. I have tried unsuccessfully a dozen times (or more!!) to have an issue rectified. Their customer service leaves much to be desired. Every single one of them said they fixed the issue to only find out it hasnt been! I am at my wits end with them!!!

The upgrade from the old Brinks equipment did not include all of the old items such as the fire alarms. This was not made clear to me until the tech arrived on site. As a result, I got upsold on both the installation (from free to not free) and on the monthly cost.Quite frankly, with home systems such as Alexa that can monitor alarm soundings and the proliferation of wireless cameras that interact with Alexa, Im not sure ADT or other services like them are worth it anymore.Im stuck now for 36 months. Maybe its worth it if youre away from home often. I should have just said forget it. Oh well. Buyer Beware!I give it 3 stars because the system itself seems quite good. Getting to this point by being upsold removed one star and getting stuck for another 36 months of higher monthly fees deducts another star.P.S. The technician did a fine job. It was not his fault. It was my fault for letting the telemarketer bamboozle me in the first place.

I ordered my system when it was Lifeshield. When my system arrived I was offered a $200 Amazon giftcard if i sign a contract for ADT monitoring. The gift card would be given to me after 90 days of service. Well we signed the contract, and during our 90 day wait period Lifeshield changes to Blue by ADT.Well we never received said gift card and its been months. I contacted ADT and was told various stories.First they told me that Amazon should have sent me the gift card and i would need to contact them despite being their own promotion????Then they said they mailed it out and it was delivered to me? When i asked when they then said they would have a manager call me and that was a month ago. No one has called. They are liars. You can self monitor the system for free and thats what my husband wanted to do to begin with. I was lied to about the promotion and now stuck in a 2 year contract 🙄

Unless something changes, I will update this review but until then this is our experience. We have had nothing but problems since we signed up with ADT. First they lied to us about the general price and cost per month. We were lied to about the products. It honestly felt so uncomfortable signing up because they make you sign a three year contract, but we were pressed for an alarm system since we were going out of town and have been robbed before. The system randomly goes off at random times in the middle of the night (1-4 in the morning) we haven’t heard it a couple of the times and the cops showed up to our house. It’s humiliating and embarrassing because the police are eventually going to stop showing up if we actually have a problem and the people in our neighborhood probably wonder why the police are always at our house. It’s a waste of the law enforcements time and honestly a waste of our money at this point. We have had technicians at our house to “fix” the issue which made it worse. He silenced our alarm system so this last time we came into our own house and it went off and we didn’t know because it was on silent. What is the point of a silent alarm? We hear a loud banging on our door and there is another policeman at our door. Here’s to another embarrassing and humiliating moment with the neighborhood and the police. We had AT&T digital life and never had any issues with our service. Sometimes the customer service wasn’t the greatest but it always worked. I honestly feel less secure with ADT and we haven’t been able to use it for 3 months now because we are more afraid of it tricking again, and now it is still silent.They did give us 1 month free for the inconvenience but We got this security system for our protection and safety, not for discounts. We want to feel comfortable in our home and if you’re going to offer security systems, they should be working all the time.

Had ADT for 2 years and service never worked properly. Everytime I called to trouble shoot they want to charge me a fee for a tech to come out. My contract finally ran out and I tried to cancel and they offer me a FREE tech to come out. I tell them.. too late just cancel. Now they are going to charge me for one extra month. This is their policy.
