The guy sold me a battery charge. He says if you have any problems bring it back. After I buy the charger, he tells me that we don’t have a refund policy on this device. Device did not work, I brought it back the next day. I told him that if I didn’t get my money back, I’m meeting him in the parking lot when he gets off work at 10 o’clock. Needless to say, I got my money back.
The store itself, most of the times its fully stocked. Now the employees on the other hand, they were really helpful. Me not being knowledgeable on car/knowing the very basics, it really helps that they are always there to help. Previously, I bought new wipers and they offered to install it. So in short, they havent disappointed.
Its the only auto supply in the area. Sometimes Im greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff, other times knucklehead with personality of a rock. [-1/2 star]. Items in circular may sell out and comparable is 2x price. Internet pricing not honored in store/ as much as 20%. So you pay online pick up at store [cool], but when item is ship to home only, not so cool. So 1 1/2 stars off for that.
I came here to replace my windshield wiper blades for the first time and Jere at the front was very helpful. She kept me from wasting money on more expensive but not better performing blades before offering to install for me (but I declined as I wanted to do it myself). Jere was pleasant, quick and very helpful. Prices in this store are fair and the location doesnt have a parking lot for quick repairs, but it does well.
Standard auto supply store, has all the wax and cleaning supplies that I could want as well as parts for many cars. The place is very large and has plenty of room for people to stroll around. I was getting a ball and hitch for my truck and the sales person was very helpful making sure I got the right size and was rated for my towing needs.Would shop here again.
I am not really sure where the good reviews are coming from. I wanted to buy brake pads from this place online, but found cheaper on Amazon.Then looked up online at their price matching policy for the store, and there it says that they price match legit sites except for the like of eBay.I arrived at the store, asked to price match Amazon, and the sleepy lady told me that they dont do price matches. I showed her online that it clearly says that they do. She then said that they do price match some stores. I said that can she price match any site because brake pads were cheaper everywhere - i.e. told he about pep boys, amazon, auto zone, etc., she said No, we only price match selected sites. Well, I asked her which ones and she didnt answer. Apparently this store is non compliant with their corporate policies of price matching. Also, in store was more expensive than online and she refused to match their online price either, what the heck.I guess I understand why these mom and pops stores going out of business, its not because amazon is so great, but because these places like this one are terrible, old school and not up to speed with the new generation. This is a next store that will soon close, just like strauss auto.
Great experience at this location. I came in to return an FM Bluetooth device that wouldn’t fit snugly in my 12V plug. Sensing I was disappointed to learn that electronics are not acceptable returns, John asked me a couple of questions about my car and why the device wasn’t working for me and then came up with another solution to make the device work in my car. I am not accustomed to such a high level of customer service and I really cannot thank John enough for listening so attentively and thoughtfully presenting a viable resolution. This store will now be my go to place for anything my 2005 Subaru Baja needs in the future! John, you are a gem! Thank you!
The stor-it self is great they have everything you need but the staff is not too knowledgeable to go and get information on what you are buying or had to do something you need to go to a little Auto store like on Water Street where the employees have experience and know what they are talking about and what they are selling you
I came in to buy a gallon of washer fluid. There were three employees present. A woman behind the counter was having a discussion with another woman who did not appear as an employee there about doing squats and situps. A man behind the counter was engaged in a conversation with a customer about the customers new cell phone, its features and texting. A third employee was just roaming around behind the counter. I patiently waited to pay for about 7 minutes until I asked if one of the employees would be willing to take the money so I could leave. The man behind the counter had suggested that j would need to wait until one of them becomes available. I waited for a couple of more minutes and then left with nothing! What a waste of time!!!
I live in the neighborhood and noticed that this store opened recently. I was having some difficulty charging the batteries of 2 cargo vans I use for my contracting business. The vans have been sitting for some time, and the cheap $50 Black-n-Decker Battery Charger I bought from Home Chepot wasnt working on them. So I took one of the batteries over to have Advanced Auto Parts at 3720 Nostrand Ave. test it out.A sales person by the name of Delroy(?) was assisting me. Initial test result showed the battery was dead. But then he recommended to leave it to charge on their Battery Charger for 30 minutes. The fast charge gave the battery a little juice - enough for my cheap BnD charger to work on it. I was able to charge the battery overnight and the next morning, I put the charger in my van and voila! The van started as if it was brand new!The salesperson could have easily told me that the battery was dead, and there is a good chance that I would have purchased a new one there. Its nice to know that there are courteous, honest people working at this auto part store. If it was any other store or a mechanic shop, chances are that I would be out $150 for a new battery I never needed. Im going to support this local branch and buy all my auto supplies from them and I recommend others to do the same.

2022-06-23Good staff helped me find the right wipers. Apple Pay didn’t work but whatever. Just had to run back to the car to get my wallet. Other then that it’s auto zone.

2022-04-23Bought an alternator for my 1996 Mitsubishi eclipse ,had to return the the old one for a refund.Good to know I didnt have to drive an hour plus to the other Advance auto parts I originally bought the new part it from.I returned it to this one ,and the refund was returned to my card.A plus.

2017-04-10UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE, none of the reps know anything about the products they carry. Store clearly advertises one price but rings up at the original price, sales rep say there is nothing he can do. NO manager on duty. Then close the store if your reps arent allowed to do anything. GARBAGE SERVICE. Auto Zone is 10-15 mins away.See the picture, Clearly states Castrol Synthetic Motorcycle Oil $7.49, but they charge $10.29
