Chris does a great job at a reasonable price and with friendly service. My desktop was not booting or was booting but then not performing properly. I had tried all sorts of restores with no real fix. He tested the hard drive and memory and confirmed they were OK and then went on to figure out that McAfee was half on and half off, screwing everything up. It couldnt be uninstalled from within the computer itself, but he used an external program to kill it and then install more friendly anti-virus software. Also cleaned up some bloat along the way.
I have used Advanced Computer Repair several times with different computer issues. Chris saves the day and he is a really personable guy to boot. I also call him occasionally with various computer questions and hell take the time on the phone to work through the problem. For free. Who does that?!?
Called in a panic when my computer wouldnt turn on. Within a few hours it was repaired at a very reasonable rate. This place deserves every one of its 5 star reviews!!Helpful, fast, friendly, and stand by the work they do!
Chris has helped my family a number of times with computer issues small and large. From little things like why is my screen rotated?! to recovering important data off a fried hard drive. If youre in the Somers area or Heritage Hills and you need help, Chris is your guy!
My Macbook wasnt charging properly and I had a sticky key. Brought it to Apple Store in Danbury. They had it for five days, then told me they would have to send it to repair facility. Minimum charge $800. I took it back and found Advanced Computer Repair near me in Somers. I stopped by. The repair person looked at the USB-C socket (used for charging on new MacBooks) and removed what looked like a small seed that had been blocking the connector. Then he worked on the sticky key. Everything fixed perfectly in less than five minutes. So, I probably dont have to tell you that this place gets my unqualified recommendation.
Amazing service. Hard drive crashed due to a power outage, called up and had a brand new SSD installed the same day for a solid price.

2020-06-19First time dealing with Chris was a pleasure. Over the phone he was cordial, informative and to the point. In person, I delivered my computer on Monday for a screen replacement and he said, depending on shipping, it might be ready in 3-4 days. Today is Friday!! - And Im typing this review on the machine. His price quote for parts and labor was very reasonable. I would recommend him highly- an honest young man..

2019-06-25Easy 5 stars for professionalism and ability.Decided to make the trek from Mt. Kisco, where I live, to Somers based on all the other 5 star reviews and was not disappointed.Called the day prior to establish what he would require, got straight forward directions and a welcoming invitation to swing on by. Stopped by day of, and was talked through much of what was likely the issue and some other interesting points.I confidently left my PC tower with Chris, the gentleman who also instructed me the day prior, and received a phone call within a couple hours telling me it was all set and offering me an upgrade at an incredibly respectable price.I very much appreciate good customer service, but ultimately, a job well done is what`s most important, and thankfully, I did not have to compromise at all here.Keep up the great work Chris.

2019-11-13I had a problem with two ports not working. Chris fixed them with a simple dental tool (there was junk in them) in less than 10 minutes and didnt charge me. Then answered questions for several more minutes. This guy is knowledgeable and very fair. Great sense of integrity and being of service. I will be back soon with another problem.
