Specifically had a great experience with a provider by the name Emily took the time to sit and talk to me asking questions about what’s going on and took her time it was just a quick in and out without addressing my concerns . The front desk staff is also so polite especially the girl named Alyssa who is always up front she is so sweet .
Outstanding care from the staff at AFC Urgent Care East Meadow.What impressed me was the attentiveness given to my situation. They listened. They did not make me feel rushed & had a solid knowledge of symptoms, remedies. The love for what they do is quite evident. They selected the right path for their profession. In particular, gratitude to John, P.A. Erek, Assistant Wendy & the entire team!
Nurses and PAs are super kind. However, I was seen today by Dr. Ahmed and as soon as he walked into the room he was like OK... you can go um go where? You didnt even examine me. I have been sick for a week, waiting an hour to be seen, and you are going to dismiss me before even checking me, my vitals, doing a thorough examination? Seriously?
Not the best experience. I went Im with sciatica and due to the pain my blood pressure was elevated it was taken by machine and then manually. Doctor acted as if I was med seeking for narcotic pain medication. I was not I just wanted at best a muscle relaxer to get some relief. Its 24 hours later and I feel the same pain and discomfort.
I’ve been here several times in the last couple of years during Covid. It’s usually so easy to get an appt (always so many time slots open). The staff is very friendly and answers any questions you may have. It’s weird to say, but this is my preferred urgent care to go to.
Excellent care! I was treated right away…. Sign in was easy wait was less then 10 min and I was seen by a profession PA very nice professional and caring! He was attentive understood my concerns and reassured me I was going to be ok! Everyone working here are knowledgeable and kind professional people ! Def my go to urgent care facility !
The fastest and best experience for PCR testing. Got my results in 24 hours and am so thankful for the last minute ability to handle the amount of clients they had. I made an appointment easily and it was such a hassle free and easy system once inside. I needed a test for a game and am so happy to receive the tests back in such a timely manner. Everyone was helpful and nice too. Great experience and will definitely be back next time!
My son and I made appointments ahead of time to both receive the flu shot. Our appointment was for 3:45. We arrived a few minutes early to check in. We were told to wait in our car and we would be called when they were ready for us. They told us it would be 30-45 minutes. Even with an appointment. We waited in our car for 60 minutes then went inside to check in again. At this time told at least another 20 minutes. Our appointment took longer than 2 hours for simple flu shots. And we had appointments. This was very frustrating and disappointing to say the least.
Do not go to this place! I took my Dad there for a PCR test 3 Days before his travel date and I have never received any update / Email with his results. We explained to the front desk and person taking the test that we needed it in time and they reassured us it will be back and that was not True!!! We had to go to another location to do a rapid test so my dad wouldn’t missed his flight. If your in need of a PCR Test for traveling DoNot Go To This Place!!
I did a walk-in for a booster. There was a long wait, I think approx 1.5 hrs. Im guessing because of omicron everyone is looking to get the boosters.Too many people were being rude to the people working the desk though as if higher demand is somehow the fault of people working. The workers were professional however and very helpful and I appreciate their patience.Thanks and please ignore the impatient people, you guys are doing great.Cheers
Dr . Literally spent 30 seconds . Bad allergies went for. We both had mask on . And he proceeded to stand across the room. No listen heart, check ears, nothing . Well past his prime . If he ever had one . Covid test mill thats all. Do as many you can aday. And feds pay.
Called this location to see if they did X-rays (about 11:30 am.) The boy on the phone told me on certain days they did - so I asked if they did on Saturdays. He replied yes. Once arriving at the location they then told me they weren’t accepting walk-ins until 1:30 pm. Not sure why they advertised as walk-ins welcome when that’s not the case or why they didn’t think that would be useful information on the phone when calling and not wasting our time. I will never go to this Urgent Care again.
This is a great establishment with great workers.First, you are greeted warmly at the front desk when you check in by Daniel who is really nice.You are seen quickly which is very important.I will continue to go here whenever I feel the need to because the staff is great and I get what I need quickly.
My first time at AFC. I had no wait time and was checked in very quickly. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Waited on queue about 10 minutes to see the doctor. He was very nice and answered all my questions, I never felt rushed through. When I called a few days later for a prescription it was put through immediately.
Went there with lower back pain and stated to doctor I had previously had kidney stones. He diagnosed me with a UTI and put me on antibiotics I stated I felt he was misdiagnosing me but went home and started antibiotics. 3 days later I was at CityMD further down on Hempstead turnpike puking and told to rush to the hospital was admitted to the hospital with my kidney infected possible sepsis having to do cultures to monitor for sepsis and two kidney stones. Out of work for almost two weeks. Could have been avoided had I been diagnosed properly by the doctor I saw here.
Ok so I went to this urgent care Tuesday night 12/21 to see if they can take walk ins for a pcr test. They told me they weren’t taking any more walk ins and to come back tomorrow morning 8am for a pcr test for walk ins. I went the next morning 12/22 got there around 7:45am and there was already a huge line outside. Had to wait 1.5 hours just for them to give me an appointment time for later that day. Was frustrated at that because I waited so long just for them to tell me to come back at a later time. I also needed the results back ASAP because I was traveling the next day. So I came back for my appointment took both the pcr and rapid test around 2:30pm. I was told it would take 24-48 hours to get results back. So now it’s Thursday 12/24 and I’m wondering if the results came in because I’m getting ready to travel so I need my results. I tried calling them no answer so I ended just going back to the urgent care and check if my results came in. And they did! It took less than 24 hours to get my pcr results back! I am giving 3 stars because one i should of just received an email for my results but I had to go back in and two because I tried calling and no one answered. If you need a pcr test my experience was good just because I got my results back within 24 hours.
Needed COVID tests for travel purposes and couldnt have been happier with the process. It was quick and efficient and the Doctor put a rush on the results knowing that I only had 3 days until the flight. The office was spotless and staff was very courteous. I would definitely recommend AFC Urgent Care.
So I went for rapid testing these people are SCAMMING everyone doesn’t matter what insurance u have $75 for rapid testing they’re telling everyone the same thing your insurance doesn’t cover it. So I called my insurance to complain about having to pay $75 and my insurance is reimbursing me and said I shouldn’t have to pay anything will definitely be reporting DONT GO HERE for testing!
I walked in and approximately 5:45 p.m. yesterday because I think I have pink eye. I go to the kid at reception and I tell him I would like to be seen by a doctor. He says to me we are not accepting walk-ins right now. And he says goodbye. He doesnt ask what Im there for. They close at 8:00 p.m. I dont understand the rudeness I dont understand the unprofessionalism
I’m rating this place a 1 star. Don’t get me wrong the staff was very professional but I scheduled a 6pm appt thinking ok I have an appt I shouldn’t have to wait. After you check in they make you wait in your car for them to call you in which was no biggie. After an hour went by I went back inside wondering if they forgot about me. They tell me oh it’s 7 more ppl in front of you! I’m like wait what? I had a 6 o clock appt. So I decided to go someplace else. At 7:40 a hour an 40 mins later they call me and say oh you can come in now for your appt. At that point I had already went some place else was seen by a Dr and on my way home. So I’m wondering what the sense in booking appts with available times if you not going to be seen.
My 85 yr. old Dad went there for a Covid 19 test on a Monday because he had symptoms: congestion, coughing, headache. On Saturday, he still had not received results but had received a text message asking for a review. I live 5 hours away. I called and finally figured out how to speak to a person. She told me he had not provided an email to receive results, AND that he had requested a rapid test not a PCR. AND that if he had a rapid test he was told to return for the results. First of all, he was sick, totally unfair to ask him to come back out and get results, secondly, why should the responsibility be on the patient to know what test they need? When I spoke to my Dad he said he had filled out an extensive form and DID include his email, he DID tell them he had symptoms,but he did not have a fever (which seems to be the main symptom everyone looks for) and that he was NOT told to return for the results. So, who is right here? We will never know. The point is that their system has too many places where things can fall through the cracks. Whomever is responsible for entering his information into their system obviously missed something. His email was not entered therefore, he didnt receive his results. Nothing happened until I decided to get involved and find a way to speak to someone there. I was told if he had symptoms then they would have checked with one of their physicians. Obviously, that did not happen. Or someone didnt recognize his symptoms as being a symptom and made a decision not to consult with a physician??? Which is it? We will never know. Either way, whatever happened was very wrong! A symptom is a symptom. And I was told they only do what the patient asks. Why on earth would the patient have to have the knowledge to know what test to ask for?! This is an 85 year old man who felt sick and went to get tested. This system failed. This is a terrible example of health care. What health care?!
I have to say I came here. I would not even give you one star. But I had to. It was so disappointing. The front desk was a blond guy who was so unfriendly. He should look into getting another job not dealing with people. I had a 5:00 apt and waited an hour and then was told that I had more people in front of me. I can’t stand coming here. I will never come there again. You lost my business.
Doctor was a total joke. Man walked in the room asked if Im vaccinated and made me wear a mask after I repeatedly told him that Im sick and cannot breathe. He then did nothing but check my heartbeat and he said i guess well just wait for covid results from the covid test that the nurse took. I had to ask him to check my ears and throat. I had told him my ears and throat hurt and this doctor did not even bother to check. He seemed afraid to get near me. He then kept saying it doesnt look like strep when i asked for a strep test. He kept telling me that theres no reason for it because hes pretty sure. He came into the room by peaking his head through the door and reaching to hand me the paper and said heres your negative result. and he proceeded to walk out of the room. No suggestions, no advice on what could be wrong, just leaves the room. Worst experience Ive ever had at a doctors office. Not to mention how all the people working up front are airheads. I repeated my number to these girls 3 times so that they can call me when the doctors ready to take me. They still managed to write down the wrong number so after 3 hours of waiting we went back because nobody had called and they said they tried to call 5 times. They repeated the number beck and it was incorrect. They tried to make it seem as if it was my fault? Also one of the girls told me it was a 15-20 minute wait and then proceeded to tell me to go home and wait. It was over 3 hours that I had to wait just to see a doctor that didnt want to do anything to help. It was unbelievable. Im never coming here again. Everyone was beyond unprofessional. If you need urgent care go to city md. This place is a joke. Theyll hire anyone who can walk.
Literally made my appt on their website the night before. I had an early morning appt. I was taken right in. No wait time. Doctor was right behind the technician who took my vitals. He diagnosed the situation, for I knew why I was there and he agreed. I was in and out in less than 15-20 minutes ! Thats amazing !
First time going here. Front desk staff wonderful and very helpful with problems I had after my appointment with medical provider. Was told a prescription would be sent to my pharmacy. Never sent. Called 0800 next morning and was told it would be sent. Not done. Called again at noon and only with the assistance of the staff member who answered the phone was my prescription finally sent. It should not take 24 hours to send a prescription under any circumstance
AFC urgent care took such great care when I came in experiencing abdominal pain. They set me up with a CT scan at zwanger and made sure all the paperwork and necessary medical information was handled so there was nothing I had to worry about when I got to my scan. They also called to check in and see how I was doing. Highly recommend!
This was the worst patient care I have ever received. I went to this AFC location last Thursday after having a very high fever and worsening cough for a few days. I was tested for Covid and the flu only because I requested it. I was then finally seen by a PA who did less than the bare minimum in examining me. I understand mid-level providers don’t get the same extensive medical training as we physicians receive. However, any person off the street knows you should listen to someone’s lungs when they come in with any remotely respiratory symptoms, especially during these times. She did listen finally, again, after I asked her to. Then I was abandoned by their system. Never received the results of my testing, when it should have come within 1-2 days. We’re now approaching a week.Of course, my condition started worsening. I went to another clinic (CityMD) and was seen by a competent provider who not only performed an actual focused physical exam, but ordered chest x-rays. So fortunately, I was then finally correctly diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia and started on the right medications. If I had trusted the care I received at AFC East Meadow or did not know better, I would’ve just continued to worsen. If you are still reading this, if you are acutely ill, I urge you to see your regular health care provider or go to another clinic. When people’s health and lives are at stake, there really is no room for such carelessness.
Was met by a very cordial young man. He was efficient and effective in gathering information for us as were were not from the USA and the form was more tailored to US residents. The test was painlessly administered by a young lady who was cheerful and also efficient. No issues what so ever. Our certificate was ready within 24 hours and we are so grateful. Stephany and Kim
I tried several different locations to get a rapid covid test to no avail. A friend told me about AFC and I was able to walk in and within 15 minutes have a test administered and within another 15 minutes had my results. The personnel were all professional and thorough. The entire process was easy and I would highly recommend them.
I have been to other urgent care facilities and not that they were bad, but the treatment I received at your facility was above all others. The staff greeted you so professionally and everyone was very courteous and caring. After my visit yesterday, your facility will now be my new go to urgent care.
This location was fantastic. Very friendly staff and extremely accommodating. It was clean and everyone followed protocol. I had two appointments at 2 different times for myself and child 90 minutes apart. They were able to take both of us at the same time which made my life so much easier. Would recommend to anyone.
I went to AFC urgent care for a rapid covid test. Even though I had an appointment, I did have to wait. Not long. About 6 people in front of me. Went quickly. They were friendly, explained everything and were quick once I got in the room. Very pleased. Expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised with the staff and wait time. Recommend highly
All the staff was wonderful, helpful, and professional. There was no wait with their appointment system and we received results in under 15 minutes. I will definitely choose your facility before any other urgent care facilities from now on. Thank you for making a very stressful time for people a so much easier !!
Very disappointed in my treatment at this newly opened facility. The waiting room had 3 people only and I still waited 1 hour to be seen. I hear staff laughing and giggling walking around but not taking any patients in. I am taken into a room and am told to sit on an examining table with an obviously used and wrinkled white paper that was not pulled off from the patient before. I tell the doctor I am having trouble breathing and he only looks in my nose and ears, doesnt even listen to my lungs. They tell me that they called my prescription in, but I called the pharmacy 3 hours later and there still was no prescription. I usually go to CityMD, but this was closer so I thought I would try it. Can not compare the two, CityMD is light years above this place.
I had such a positive experience visiting AFC Urgent Care East Meadow for Covid testing. The facility was impeccable. They were not overcrowded and managed their patients very efficiently. Staff was an absolute delight. My physician was knowledgeable and caring. Results were sent to me electronically on my portal in record time. Highly recommend!
My appointment was at 11:16 I waited till 11:30 to be put in a room, completely fine that’s not a bad wait. I seemed to have someone very new but very niceI was getting a rapid covid test and I was swabbed at 11:40… I’ve done this before and they come back within 15 min. I noticed the time at 12:15 and heard no one in The hallway. I waited longer assuming someone was going to come in. Finally at 12:30 I got up and looked around and saw only one person. I thought maybe I should give more time there were a lot of people before me. Finally at 12:50 I got up annoyed and walked to the front desk saying I had not been helped, she told me they were out to lunch. That the place is closed between 12 and 1… the woman was extremely nice made me feel a little better but the amount of time I waisted just because they forgot me in the room before taking lunch… extremely wrong. Idk what would have happened if I didn’t finally say something.
So refreshing to be greeted by a happy, competent, friendly, eager, staff.This is how all businesses should be run, unfortunately only about one tenth of one percent are. This is one of them. Keep up the good work.This is my new go-to clinic that I hope I don’t have to go to.
The staff is cool but the guys up front don’t have very good people skills and roll their eyes with any questions you ask. The PA Emily is super nice and walked me through what was wrong with my foot and was very clear in her diagnosis process. The manager is very nice, but all you other patients need to stop stressing them all out. They’re people not super heroes. Before going in here prepare to hear some ignorant customers who doesn’t understand the concept of life to be yelling for no reason. The receptionist Daisy was super nice and greeted me with a masked smile. If it wasn’t for people like these three, healthcare wouldn’t be as efficient.
Never going here again. Went for a visit because my chest was hurting and I was having a hard time breathing normally. The PA on staff saw me, and did not do any type of check of my lungs, heart, glands, nasal/ears to diagnose any potential thing wrong. How can I tell a doctor I had covid months ago and was experiencing breathing issues, for them to not even listen to my breathing through a stethoscope? All he did was rattle off a bunch of things it “could be”, allergies, change of season etc. Then says if it doesn’t go away you might want to get your heart checked. Crazy. No care provided whatsoever. $80 copay to have a 5 minute conversation with someone who didn’t even do a proper examination. Useless visit.
The people there were very kind. The only thing was i had to wait for a very long time to get tested and I got the wrong test done but that’s understandable since there’s a lot of patients that are getting tested. Overall the employees were very kind and everything overall was great.
I’ve been going there for awhile and this experience was horrible. They let me wait in the patients room for about an hour. And then this Asian doctor comes in with a attitude. Like I’m bothering her. I have bronchitis. I’ve had it before. Feeling very tired and congested. She says she doesn’t here any congestion. She wants to take an x ray of my lungs. I know my body. I told her I need antibiotics. But she says only if she sees my results of my x rays. I don’t think she knows what she’s talking about. This place is off my list.
I was visiting family from California and wanted to be tested. I have been to many Urgent care centers to be tested and this one by far is the best in terms of helping one with encouragement, respectfully talking to you, they made your visit excellent without all the anxiety that come with this type of visit
I’m very impressed. Extremely pleased with the professional and caring service given at AFC in East Meadow. The very patient and calm woman with blonde hair at the front desk, (I think her name is Paige), and the rest of team are friendly and they listen to your concerns, but most of all, knowledgeable and confident in their operating system. Everything went exactly as promised.
On June 4 2021, My daughter had a fever of 102 degrees so we decided to take her over to AFC urgent care in East Meadow. Before heading there my wife called the office and a receptionist stated that although they would be closing at 10 pm, they would still see us once we got there. At 10 pm we arrived and saw that there were three other patients in the waiting room, but the entrance door was locked. We saw two male receptionist dressed in black scrubs working behind the glass window. I was carrying my daughter in my arms but I stood outside patiently waiting thinking that due to covid they were only letting patients in slowly. The two male looked up twice and went back to doing their paperwork. After 10 Minutes of standing outside with my 2 year old wrapped in my arms , my wife called the office and there were no answers. At this point we were getting impatient so we knocked on the window at which point the people on the waiting room spoke to the two receptionists. Both patients in the waiting room actually got up from their seats and went up to their window and pointed to us but they gave us no kind of acknowledgment nor paid attention to our knocking at the Entrance door. Mind you, the glass entrance is directly in front of where they are sitting! As a parent seeking medical attention for their child this really enraged me. The lack of common decency from people who took an oath to help others. But also as a father I knew it was pointless to stand there and my child would fare better the faster she received medical attention. My wife and I are both first responders for the city of NY and it saddens me to see that people who took an oath to help others, no longer take that oath seriously. Even more sad to know that a parent holding his 2 year old standing outside on the sidewalk, knocking on the window couldn’t even get a simple acknowledgment from staffers who work in the medical field. All they had to do was tell us they were not taking any more patients, but I guess common courtesy is no longe common,, especially at AFC Urgent Care.
AFC is a great urgent care to visit. Not only was it clean and properly set up to follow Covid restrictions, but the staff was extremely friendly and pleasant, from the front desk to the medical assistants and doctors. I will definitely be returning for future medical needs!
I just walked into this place 40 min before closing with left sided chest pain, left arm numbness/tingling and leg cramps.I was told by the pathetic front desk person that they close in 30 minutes and therefore I cannot be seenThe whole place was empty with 3 staff members laughing behind him. Then laughing as I walk out because I said this was ridiculous.How do you turn away a patient with chest pain!! What is wrong with you, this is a port excuse for medical team. These people need to be fired. Unreal, 6 years working in the medical field I’ve never seen anything like thisI went to city md in Levittown with a line out the door, they were closing in 20 minutes and still saw me!Called the site 7 times to get a mangers phone number and they never picked up the phone. Unreal I could be dropping dead in the parking lot and they wouldn’t even have cared.
The girl at the front desk at 1200 on December 25 was extremely unprofessional and downright rude. Although I have been seen at this location at least 20 times, and although I filled out all of my information on line including scanning my insurance car and drivers license, she insisted I was not in the computer. I had scheduled an appointment on line for 1215 and she told me that they don’t honor appointment times and I would have to wait until all the “walk-in” customers were taken care of regardless of my appointment. And boy oh boy, did I wait ! To add insult to injury, when I was called in to see the nurse and doctor, the girl at the front desk created a new profile for me as if I was a new patient. The nurse, who remembered me fro prior visits was able to find my old chart so it was all good. I love this facility but that receptionist was clueless and unable to provide basic customer service
My wife and I got married this past march and they offered Covid testing, which is free everywhere, to us and everyone else going to the wedding and guaranteed timing of the results which they did within the allotted time. However a month later i get a bill in the mail for $150 for something that is free everywhere else and other people that went to our wedding had the same BAD experience because these tests are free everywhere else. HORRIBLE!!!
This was my first time at AFC and it was wonderful. I was able to go in earlier than my appointment time. My Insurance I formation was given and my vitals were checked. I was then escorted into a room and met the dr. All the staff were super nice and the process was so easy. I love that you exit from a side door so you don’t have to walk through a Waiting room of sick people.
Needed a COVID PCR Test for a flight (72 Hour requirement). Called around to some of the more recognizable named medical facilities. None of them could guarantee the results in time for my flight. Called AFC East Meadow. Test was scheduled and performed with ease. Got my results back in 24 hours (less time than promised). Very professional office that understood exactly what I needed for entry to another country. This could not have been a better experience.
I very much appreciated Katlyn Kirby. Her incredible customer service at the front desk. She was patient kind and helpful. She specifically reached back out to me to let me know that my referral came through for insurance. That was over and above Emmy expectations. Overall the experience was great.
Best Urgent care Ive been to. Everyone is very kind, attentive and very professional. You never have a long wait and Dr. Lee is a very nice doctor. I also had a great experience with Darleen the medical assistant. A very sweet person. I would definitely recommend this urgent care to others. They would be in great hands.
Really great place. I was in and out. The Nurses and PA services was really nice and kind. The only problem I had was at the front desk. Upon arrival and leaving. The customer service was not the best. The Nurse who was doing all the paper work and technical work, her tone and responses were so vague. At the end of my visit, she handed me my results without even giving me any explanation. I had to play the “guessing” game. I’m still not even sure how I go about getting my results for my PCR testing. Are they going to call me? Do I need to create a portal to login to find the results there? Are they going to email me my information? These are information that I’ve gotten back from other care services. I was a little annoyed by not having proper information given to me.
When I first walked in I was greeted the girl at the front desk was very nice. They were very efficient. Darleen Reginella made me feel comfortable and relaxed because I was nervous coming to get tested. I was seen by the new PA , she was also nice and efficient. I would definitely recommend this urgent care
Everyone was very professional and nice. Dr Lee was very thorough and concerned with my well being. Carmen was so very sweet and nice. The girls at the front desk were very nice too. This place is friendly and very professional. Made an appt for me and my parents for Covid-19 tests and it was a smooth process. They were very gentle and answered all my questions. I was super nervous and they were super nice! Definitely the best urgent care Ive been too! Super efficient. Thank you!
This is my first experience at AFC. Had to get my rapid test done for work.The system and staff are very organized!I made an appt. On line, went there at my expected arrival time, waited a few minutes for the test, and less than 20 mins collected a note with my result!Very impressed! Keep up the great work guys.We are indeted to our Health care providers!
Professional staff, easy check in with an appointment. I think my only concern was the waiting area and hallway area where we could sit......The chairs were not being cleaned. That would be my only suggestion is to be a little bit more vigilant and having someone white chairs down,arm rests and door handles etc.Other than that it was a great experience I would definitely go there again.
I went to the place in pain. Told the receptionist that it was hard to breath and my back was hurting when I breathed. She barely wanted to take my information first of all (Im black by the way) Then when she finally got my information I had to go to her to make sure she received my info. After about 20 mins a young lady walks in fills out all her paperwork at the reception station and goes right in to see the doctor. I walk up the desk and ask why havent I been called she says there was a problem with your insurance. I told her was this before or after you was conversing and playing around. And why didnt you update me. Then when I asked to speak to a supervisor she had the nerve to tell me well you have $75 copay. Lady $75 is nothing! You need to be worried about the lawsuit you will get if I drop dead right here. You want good customer service go to CityMed down the street.
I wish I didn’t have to add any stars to this place!Do not go to this place! They told me 30 Minutes it’s been 2 hours. When I asked the nurse how long, she gave me an attitude and told me that if o did not like I should leave because they’re very popular and basically did not matter if I leave! Unbelievable!
Highly recommend! I was visiting from out of state and the urgent care went above and beyond. The front receptionist explained in detail the different type of tests because I was unaware with my airlines. The provider was in and out within a few minutes and had my results in 20 minutes.
The visit itself was great! I didnt have to wait long and the staff was very kind and knew what they were doing. The 1 star is due to the fact that the billing dept has not filed my insurance and keeps sending me the full bill. I have called and my insurance company has called them directly twice to make sure my information is correct for billing. My visit was back in March and it is now mid-August. I dont know what the billing dept is doing but obviously theyre not doing their job. This is such a headache.
Went to have a rapid (15 minute result non-invasive) Covid-19 test administered for my 6mo old daughter today. The appointment process (which is necessary for the rapid test) online was user-friendly and simple to complete. The office today was clean and well managed. The staff was super accommodating and very sweet to my little one, who kept giving me concerned looks. The test was a shallow simple cotton swab placed gently up both nostrils to acquire specimen. My daughter hardly cried, it was done with such ease. The PA saw us was draped in PPE and she was careful about the examination. By the time she was done we had the results of the test, which were negative, thank goodness. Great staff and facility! Highly recommended :)
The place was clean and nicely decorated and also provided water and snacks for guests. Kaitlyn at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The prescriptions were filled right away. I’ve never been to an urgent care but with our pediatricians office closed for the holiday and two sick kids, they were a life saver. I appreciated the follow up call as well .
On line scheduling provided timely appointment options & was very easy to navigate. Pre registration was also easy & allowed for less time spent during appointment time. Upon arrival at AFC the check in was seamless with very little wait time. Results were also provided in a timely manner. ALL the staff were professional & courteous & should be commended!!
Very quick (as compared to going to the hospital where I have stayed for 7 hours for the same issue), very understanding and patient.The receptionist, Taylor, is a sweetheart!The nurse was very kind.The doctor was very knowledgeable and made the process of getting hydrated very easy, painless and fast!I feel much better now, 10/10 review.Thank you for your hard work and helping those in need!
I wanted to come in because my selected physician is there so I was coming in as a new patient. The front desk girl was very helpful, accommodating and knew her stuff. Joe the medical staff in the office was professional and efficient. The office was kept very clean which is important to me along with helpfulness of staff. I saw Dr. Ahmed, he wasn’t rude but he didn’t sit down and really ask questions to get to know me as his patient and he was in the room for 3 mins at max. Darleen took my blood she was great I didn’t feel a thing. Talked me through it and was a very sweet woman. Upon checkout it was very easy to pay my copay and return to the day.
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at any medical facility in my life. From the minute I walked in the door I was met with smiles and helpful information. The girl who took my temperature and blood pressure was incredibly nice and very comforting. The doctors on staff were thorough , knowledgeable and extremely nice and caring. They even helped me look up coupons for my prescription since I was paying out of pocket. I am very grateful.
I would give zero star if I can, but I need to give at least one star to post this comment. It seems people in this office dont know what they are doing at all. I understand it must be busy under this pandemic, but they still need to be at least professional as an urgent care. My husband and I went there 10 times just for a complete immigration physical exam reports. I dont know why they are qualified to do this job. Regardless they couldnt finish the correct report forms, they couldnt manage the blood sample properly either. They told us it was the lab lost our first blood sample (who knows!), so we did blood work two times. And guess what? We received two bills from the lab right now. The lab asked them to explain the situation, so I contacted them last week and they guaranteed to let me know this week. But I called in today and it seems nobody in this office ever knew about this story. I tried to be nice always even though they messed up our reports many times. worst experience ever!!!!!!! This claim will definitely go to BBB and all other organizations that I can find to complaint this issue.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I made an online appointment after 12:00am for a rapid Covid-19 test on 9/10/20. I made the appointment for 11:50am. I arrived at 11:15am, much earlier to ensure I was not late. I waited in the car until an employee was to contact me as directed from the website and text messages. (I also had my two sick children with me and husband to drive me as well) Since I did not hear from the employee at 11:50, at 11:55 I called to see when I will be seen. They told me I needed to come into the building and the website wasn’t updated for me to know this. I walked into the building, I waited patiently for the woman to get off the phone and then she tells me that the are closing for lunch and I can come back at 1:00pm. My husband took an early lunch to take me to this appointment. She did not have the decency to even apologize or try and fit me in being I had an appointment and I followed all directions that were given to me. The utter carelessness, lack of decency, and the fact that she would rather stuff her face than help someone who is sick is disgusting. I will never, and I will make sure anyone and everyone I know, is aware of the horrendous customer service I received today.
I had an appointment for a Covid Rapid test. I arrive 5 minutes before my scheduled time. The staff was busy, yet attentive, quick and pleasant. Was told my results would be ready in 20 minutes and indeed they were ready when I returned from my car to get a print out of them. I would come here again if needed.
I went to AFC yesterday and was met with 2 doctors, one which I believe was her on last day there. My experience with these two doctors was EXCEPTIONAL!!! If those two would team up, I would 100% follow!!! I dont his name and I wish I did, so I can leave a proper review.
The office is very clean. I felt welcomed as the receptionist was very friendly. It was so nice to see the free snacks, coffee and water bottles in the waiting room. My wait time was minimal and the intake nurse was very professional and kind.The intake nurse was awesome! Her personality was so bubbly it made me feel so welcomed!The doctor that I saw (Dr. Mojid) was very thorough and friendly. I appreciated feeling like I wasnt just another number while feeling ill. I recommend this place!
While everyone was very pleasant and respectful and there wasnt a long wait at all, I had a routine PCR Covid test done for my job even though i had been vaccinated already. They called me at work the next day and told me i tested positive. I was made to leave my desk immediately and get put of the building. I was humiliated and scared out of my mind and started calling everyone I had come onto contact with from the past 5 days to make them aware. My job reported the results to the Dept of Health who called me and told me it was impossible for the lab to have gotten my results back that soon and they would investigate.The following day I got a call from their manager telling me they gave me the wrong results and I was actually NEGATIVE for Covid. They were SO sorry and assured me they would find out who called me and they WILL be spoken to. Somehow, that didnt make me feel any better. I had been a nervous wreck for 2 days. I went and picked up the lab results from them and in 3 different places in a large bold capitalized font it read NEGATIVE. Id still like to know how this happened.
When I got there the place was packed so I asked if I could sit in the car and they could call me. I confirmed my number with the receptionist but she still got it wrong and I waited a long time and finally came in and she said she’d called me (at the wrong number which we had double checked before I went out). She did not apologize and almost forgot to give me my ID cards back. I was upset, I have had a long week and thought she could have said sorry. I also reminded her we had double checked the number before I went outside and she just laughed.The PAs were nice enough and were preparing to drain my cyst but the doc told them not to. It was a weird experience and definitely not a positive one. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.I‘ve been to other urgent cares and I have had a much more efficient experience and felt more confident in the level of medical expertise available at those places.
I had the most positive experience at this location. I walk in to be greeted by an incredibly nice front desk, which almost never happens at a doctors office. I also find that when you visit certain urgent care facilities, they ask you why you are there while frantically typing on a computer and barely listening to your complaints. NOT HERE! A very nice woman called me back to take my blood pressure and ask about my reasons for being in the office this morning. She actually looked at my face and carried on a conversation with me!! I was already incredibly impressed by this location.Then the doctor enters the room. He was very nice and knowledgeable about my condition. I was nervous because i have a newborn at home and worried he might get what I have. He reassured me that everything would be fine. Went over a list of precautions i should take and told me if I needed anything to call them!! I just found my new urgent care facility and will never go anywhere else again!!
All of the staff members were extremely kind, professional, caring, and prompt. There was little to no wait, which was fantastic, and there were complimentary water bottles, snacks, tea, and coffee in the waiting room. Next time I’m not feeling well, I will definitely be returning back to this Urgent Care facility. Highly reccomend!
AFC Urgent Care is a very caring, professionalhealth facility. I was greeted by a warm, friendly front desk professional, only waited 5 minutes before I was seen by a medical assistant for vitals & right into a room where Dr. Lee came to assess my condition. What makes this healthcare facility better than ALL others?The follow up phone call the very next day to see how you’re feeling. Two thumbs up 👍🏻 👍🏻
Thank you Jason and AFC team for taking care of my elderly parents when they came in for Covid testing. You went out of your way to help my mother who had to come alone by taxi and does not speak English proficiently. She was nervous but you made the process calming.
I went to AFC Urgent Care East Meadow for a rapid COVID-19 test. After the test was administered, I met with the PA, who discussed my reason for taking the test and answered any questions I had. The process was quick and efficient and the staff was very professional.
Its been 6 days and I still have not gotten the results of my PCR test or my Antibody test. They will not give the results over the phone.3 stars for the staff, they are all very nice. -Update I did call and got the results but had to take another test a few months later and again I never got the PCR results.IF you do take a test at this place do not order the PCR test. I think its just a money maker for them since they order the test but never bother entering the results. I do not want to have to call them to get the results entered to the website. 50 % of the time you call the phone says to press 9 for other options and 9 sends you to the start of the message.(P.S. Check your insurance company statements to see what the insurance pays them for the PCR test)
Went in for a Covid rapid test. Made my appointment, had to wait about an hour after my appointment time but they have a very efficient and streamlined system. They called my after my hour wait to come inside, I waited maybe two minutes and was seen by a PA student to do my covid test. She was very kind and very attentive and intelligent. I was then seen by the PA to go over my results and any questions I may have had. Very easy process all in all and am definitely going back when I need to get tested again.
I was greeted by Katlyn at the front desk. She was courteous and professional. My wait was less than 20 minutes. The medical assistant took my vitals and the physician was able to explain my diagnosis and prescribed the medication needed. The facility was clean, bright and well maintained.
This location is clean and new. The staff is great and were very responsive especially based on how busy it is right now as people are being tested for covid. My only issue is that it is a small location and although people are “socially distanced” it seems like there is a good chance that, if you are covid free, you may end up getting it while inside. There was only about a 20 minute wait beyond our scheduled appointment time, but we were always in close proximity in a closed room. I would have been happy to wait an additional 10-15 minutes and be called in from my vehicle when it was time for my test rather than being inside with all of the other patients. It may well be an option, but I did not ask. If so, that’s on me.
I am in the medical field . My child had a fever and i called them 10 mins before they were closing. A woman said we will wait and i will let them know. When we got there. The male receptionist glanced and didnt even bother opening the door and ignored us. Called them and they told me the provider left. I lived 4 mins away. I am so pist off. Standing outside with a child that has a 102 fever
I’m usually immune to the common cold that goes around an office, but I caught a bug on vacation before starting my new job. My head cold went away in a few days but the cough lingered. Our office sounds like a sick ward with people coughing and sneezing all day so I figured I would head to urgent care because the likelihood of me getting better was slim! I googled the urgent care close to home and was able to check in online! This is a newer office ... nice coffee and tea setup, a fridge with bottled water, the waiting area is clean! I was greeted right away and check in was quick since I filled most of it out online. The staff is super friendly and efficient! Saw the Dr.... he offered a chest x ray.... didn’t have to schedule another appointment- they did it right in the office! Sent over the prescriptions to my pharmacy Immediately! They even offered allergy testing! I’m happy to say I’m not allergic to anything!! Great experience and I’m glad I didn’t wait to get checked out!! I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care!!
I visited this urgent care facility for the first time, everything about the experience was perfect. The Dr was very thorough and both my husband and I thought he was excellent.The staff were friendly and professional. The office was also immaculate and comfortable. The wait time was short They followed up with a call the next morning. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone !
Very unprofessional. I was there at 11:45, and there was a sign out the door saying the office is closed from 12-12:30. The door was locked well before 11:45. I went to wait in my car to come back at 12:30, and they had changed the sign to 12:30-1 then. At 1 when i came back, there was a line and ppl were saying they has appts at 12:30, etc. So unprofessional!
The office was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. My kids were happy they got a little gift bag with stressball, pretzels and a bandaid holder 😉. We did have to wait forty minutes, even with an appt. Once in the room we were seen right away and Covid test was painless and results were quick. Overall a good experience.
The receptionist was very kind and sympathetic to my condition. The PA was very nice. The doctor seemed knowledgeable about my condition and offered me 2 ways to treat it. The office was clean and up to date with it’s machinery. I️ left feeling that I️ was going to get better with the prescriptions he had given me. I️ would not hesitate to go back again!
Absolute incompetence and a complete lack of personal care. Came in to get a referral for a specialist at the begging of October. They gave me one on paper but never submitted it to insurance. So, when my specialist told me this needed to be done ahead of my appointment I called and even showed up in person to get them to do it. I was assured they would submit the referral to insurance in time for me to Jeep my appointment. They did not, I have now lost my appointment which was supposed to be tomorrow. I now have to wait THREE more months for an appointment and will need to get a new referral on top of that.
Always Amazing. Girls at the front desk are so thoughtful and caring! The medical techs/nurse and doctors are so professional and having wonderful bedside manners! Which we all know is hard to come across both qualities in the medical field! I use them every timr I am not feeling well.
I needed a routine Covid test to allow me to visit at a nursing home. I was a “ walk-in” at the AFC Urgent Care Center. They were extremely courteous and efficient. They also promised to expedite my test results so that i would be able to visit my friend within a week. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needed a local medical care service.

My father needed to take a rapid test, due to a newborn living at his house. He was unable to get a reservation online, but when he called a woman named Emily answered and she was BEYOND helpful in assisting him. He was able to come in right away and get the test he needed so he could hold his granddaughter for the first time. He will definitely be going back for future medical needs. Emily was outstanding!!!!
Excellent place to go for urgent medical care. Dr. Lee and Darleen were both so helpful to me and treated me with kindness and respect. So was the receptionist. Jennifer was so helpful to me and the doctor there on 7/25/19 was extremely knowledgeable and patient. This is a place I would highly recommend. They stand out as exceptional in the area of urgent care.

The front office staff were very friendly and helpful! My fine motor skills in my right hand made filling forms out Very difficult!! The front office staff took it upon themselves and filled out the paperwork.The Doctors were friendly and very understanding. Nurses and support staff were nice. I was also seen in a timely matter. AFCUC was the only place around that could help me with a Workers Compensation Claim.
The staff was very professional and friendly. The team took care of me promptly and provided me with everything I needed to get well fast. Ms. Darleen went the extra mile to ensure I received the best of care and because of that I will entrust the AFC team with my family’s care.
Always happy with our care at AFC. Usually quick wait times and helpful staff. With Covid they are taking good precautions and are doing well in crazy circumstances. I REALLY appreciate the Covid testing appointment system. Though I do feel older people and those who dont have access to devices need to be given an option for appointments too. Even if some are set aside for them daily. The only issue Ive ever had is i wish there was a way to pay my bill digitally but that a minor complaint and i know adds expense to a business. Im one of the rare ones with a deductible thats owed later, though they are becoming more common. I always recommend AFC, we have taken the whole family and all have been happy.

Saw Darleen first she was a great listener definitely made me feel welcome, showed attention to my symptoms.Dr.Mohadmmed was friendly and straightforward with all my complaints, including requesting tests that made sense with what I was dealing with.I would recommend this Urgent Care and I most likely have my primary doctor at this location.
I took my elderly mother to AFC today because she was feeling sick and had a superb experience from the time we arrived until we left. Taylor the receptionist was sweet, helpful and friendly. The medical assistant Jennifer was super attentive and made my mother feel welcomed and comfortable. Then Dr. Michael Lee questioned and examined my mother thoroughly. He was attentive, explained everything and then ordered a battery of tests and referred my mother to get blood work, to see the cardiologist and other specialists. Everything was efficiently done and with diligent care. My mother even got a no cost allergy skin test. If you want expert care and want to be treated like a person, go see Dr. Lee and his staff. You won’t be disappointed. Now I really know what are the next steps to take to follow up on my mother’s medical issues. I feel relieved to know my mother was well taken care of by AFC.
I walked in at 9:30 and they close at 10. I expected them to be rude but they weren’t at all. Heather and Jenna were both friendly and sweet and got me in and out. I think it was Alicia(really hope that’s her name ) who helped me before the doctor came in. She was great as well super sweet and definitely knew how to do her job well. Great staff. I’d definitely go back if I needed to.
The Physician Assistant was good but the front desk staff was clueless. They didnt even know whether I needed to pay a copay, the flu shot was covered, or that they indeed would be the ones to charge me if it wasnt covered rather than my insurance company. The front desk staff also claimed that everyone in the office does billing. It seems like eptitude is a thing of the past so sad. 🤷♀️
The were great! Technician would did the test was courteous and kind. The office manager was very nice on Friday. They had lost power and couldnt perform the test so he took my cell phone number and called me later in the afternoon when the system was back up running. That was great! Thank you!
This is the second time I have been here. The service is quick and efficient. The staff at check in is so nice and friendly. Then you get called in and the nurse that takes your vitals is efficient and friendly. The doctor I saw was very good and made sure he thoroughly checked everything. I wouldnt go to any other urgent care. Thank you
The man that checked me in was extremely pleasant. The girl who took my vitals was also very attentive and kind. And I was in and out in under 20 minutes. The doctor was thorough and professional and I had my prescription and letter for work in minutes after the check up. I was even personally greeted by the owner. So happy to find this facility today. This place has modern technology.. Extremely clean..there was no no wait..paperwork easy to get through.. The receptionist heather was a pleasure to meet. She was quite informative..had a warm welcome and was a pleasure to meet. She made the experience quite a memorable one. Also the assistant Tatiana who took me inside was very nice and helpful as well. I will definitely refer this urgent care to everyone I know.
Although I only went for an employee drug test I would definitely use AFC Urgent Care for all my future routine medical needs and recommend them to my friends. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the office and exam rooms immaculate and parking is easy which is not always the case on Long Island. After my drug test I was offered a tour and it was impressive. State of the art equipment and the ability to perform everything from xrays to stitches as well as soft casting. Best of all, the wait time to be seen was very short and I did not call ahead or make a reservation on line before I went. Awesome facility and exceptional staff!
I went there on a Sunday afternoon for what wound up being a bad sinus infection. There were several people ahead of me so I knew there would be a little bit of a wait. Heather at the front desk was extremely accommodating and caring towards the several people that were in the waiting room offering everyone coffee, bottled water, and pretzels. She made sure the children that were waiting were happy and kept busy. Once I was taken in the back, the medical assistant moved things along quickly but explained there would be a little bit of a wait for the doctor. As I was waiting, I realized that there was someone in another room who was in need of much more urgent care than I was. Once the doctor came in, he listened to my concerns, did an exam, and had me out quickly. The place was very clean and everyone was very helpful and caring. Considering they had an emergency and several people ahead of me, I was moved along fairly quick. I would highly recommend.
I’ve been here twice and I’ve experienced nothing but exceptional and professional service from Dr. Mojid and his medical staff including Jenna. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I had great care and was in and out in 20 minutes. I would recommend AFC Urgent Care to my personal friends and family and will definitely go back if I get sick again.
I was seen at the East meadow facility on 1/24 morning for a routine COVID test as required by the NYS DOH. I am a medical Professional myself, I have worked in Primary Care settings very similar to this particular facility. They were open, professional and thorough. The three young ladies at the reception desk (I did not get their names, unfortunately) were friendly and welcoming. The Physician Assistant (Adam) was informative and helpful. I was seen quickly and was given my results right away. I have a new home for Urgent, Primary care

2022-02-01The doctors and nurses here are very kind and very professional. Unlike many other urgent cares they have exceeded my expectations with treatment and respect. Vaccinated or not they treat everybody equal and do their jobs. They are my number one choice for urgent care. They are extremely thorough and do the best they can to get you in and out. Recommend them to everyone!

2022-05-13Everything was great! I had a bit of a wait but once you get inside youll understand. Eriek took the time to explain everything step by step. He made sure all my questions were answered and didnt try to rush me out. And when I was feeling dizzy, he got me water, told me to take all the time I need. And then escorting me to the door to make sure even more that I was okay. I definitely recommend urgent care in East Meadow. Appointment or walk-ins welcomed.

2022-02-08I started using this urgent care office during the pandemic and have since been to the office multiple times.The staff is always professional. I never feel rushed. Once, I had an issue when I was traveling with my covid test results, and the team at the office was able to resolve it within minutes while I was at the airport!!They are now my go-to urgent care. There, customer service is excellent.

2022-06-04I have had allergies for several years. I knew I needed to do something about it, and I turned to AFC to have a full allergy exam. 15 minutes is all it took to determine what I am allergic to and what I responded negatively to. I decided to go with a immunization program, instead of a suppressive route. I’m very happy with everything that Dr. Daniel La explained. He is fantastic, makes you feel very comfortable, and a great physician. He spoke with me about my previous experiences and laid out a plan that I can be excited about to remediate my issue with my allergies.

2022-05-11Office was clean with plenty of seating to keep socially distant. Staff was professional, kind, and courteous. Wait time was well within reason. There were 5 or 6 patients ahead of me and I only waited 15 minutes or so.

2022-02-05I was not happy with two things as soon as I walked in. The first was, the woman in front of me had her mask below her nose the entire time.This is unacceptable at an urgent care facility, someone should be in waiting area that works there,monitoring the patients and making sure their Masks are on fully. Second thing was, there was no seperate line for patients that have an appointment.What is use of an appointment if you still have to wait on one line?

2021-12-24Was sick recently and visited AFC in East Meadow. I was very impressed with the Dr and staff. The wait wasn’t bad at all either. The medical assistant Kaitlyn N made me feel so comfortable because I had to have a nose swab and was anxious about the whole thing. She was Fantastic at her job and put me at ease. Try this place it’s convenient and very professional!I will definitely be going back , hope not too soon lol
