Simply the best food ever. No need for constructive criticism for this restaurant. I always bring my students here before their road test for a good meal if they are hungry. They are sure to pass the test on a full stomach. Thank you guys for an amazing food service. You should surely stick to doing what you are great at!
Service needs improvement food is not bad. Service is what kills an establishment. Food is overpriced. Menu I was looking at was a dine-in menu and of course I did not know that until I got my food. Cashier seemed more concerned about her phone. She did not ask if I was dining in or ordering take out. She did not even ask if I wanted a drink. Food came in take out dish with no salad and pita. I asked for salad and she said “dine in only” without our even properly engaging bc she was busy with her phone. Seemed like I paid he same price for dine out verses dine in... which was expensive for what looks like a take out establishment. Prices are restaurant dine in prices.
This was always my go to place whenever we came to town to visit friends! We stopped the first day and always the day we left. Yesterday I was so disappointed I can’t even explain properly! Our waitress was not knowledgeable at all. I was brought a warm can of drink...no cup, no ice, no straw. I politely asked for them. She messed up our order, but more importantly, the food was so disappointing! The falafel was under cooked, the pita “freshly out of the oven” was kinda warm on one side and the other was cold, and literally fell apart as you tried to tear it in half. The French fries! Limpy somewhat cooked. I’m not sure what’s happened, except she said there was a new owner, but next time I’m in town my $65 will be spent somewhere else.
Until recently known as Ahuvas Grill this restaurant has been a staple of valley stream lynbrook community. Kosher and under the vaad of the five towns this location has recently changed its name to Laffa Grill & Bar. Restaurant features mainly middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine with a twist here and there. We came here on a Wednesday night before Passover and although it wasnt packed the gills it was clear that the restaurant was understaffed and unable to keep up the work flow. our waiter seemed overwhelmed and couldnt handle situation appropriately. but that said the food was kind of tasty and actually had lots flavor the yemminite soup was delicious, salad platters and hummus were actually pretty good and the pitas and laffas were great. We ordered several of the house specials that were unique and interesting and highly recommended.a raw good experience and I wont judge it by the current situation however I do expect the next time itll be better service.
The food is of low quality. Very bland and just not very fresh tasting. And Ive been there on 3 occasions just to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will absolutely not eat there again. Ahuvas Grill Express is a much better option if youre looking for the quick sandwich, as the Shwarma in their satellite location is far tastier.
Best shawarma place in my experience. 🔥🔥 Have tried tons of spots in NY and no one comes close to Ahuva’s. The food and service are on point 👌🏻 - Sally the manager always treats everyone with respect and goes above and beyond to make sure best service is delivered. 🙏🏻
The food is great, I work at the high school but like R BT posted on this review. The young counter girl with glasses during the day is NASTY AND DISRESPECTFUL! I posted this because I feel bad for the owner, losing business for something not his fault. Please re train her for manners.
STAY AWAY ; HOUND YOU DOWN FOR TIPS - BAD SERVICE AND BAD FOODTHE FOOD IS SUB-PAR AT BEST ; LIKE THE OTHER REVIEWS SAID, SERVER HAD HER PHONE STUCK UP HER BRAINS AND GLUED TO HER HANDS. DONT CARE ATTITUDE FOR SERVICE AND WHEN WERE LEAVING , SHE HOUND US DOWN FOR 18% TIPS; THAT WERE NEVER DISCLOSED BEFOREHAND. TOTALLY UNNECESSARY.
Food was amazing. But I came in on Sunday afternoon to have lunch with my friends and the mashgiach was very disrespectful. When we sat down to eat he had his feet up on a chair where we were eating. When we asked him to use that chair he said his legs were hurting him..... Was not a place of comfort.!
I go there all the time for lunch. The manager Avi there, he is the new manager of the store which is under new ownership, has been making shawarma for over 30 years and is all about great service for people. The taste and the quality is spot on, the salad bar is always generous and comes of the sandwich. Solid and tasty across the board.
Dont let the un-assuming setting fool you - the food at this place ROCKS! And their OUTRAGEOUS Shwarma Spring Roll - is well worth the drive from Boston! The warm hospitality & great humor that I encountered here was topped only by the food, which, seriously IS to die for!
Horrible service, Avi the manager is disgusting. Messed up my order several times, everyone was nasty and disrespectful. They kept me on the phone for 30 mins while they talked to other people, I could still hear them talking and I kept repeating hello, can you hear me. They just hung up. I called back and the manager made excuses then said my meal was on the house if I wanted to pick it up. When my mother got there to pick it up he claimed he never said that and charged her for the entire thing. Opened the order when I got home and it was completely wrong. When I called to confront him he was nasty and then hung up on me. Stay away from this place, they treat people like garbage.
Always tasty and fresh! Delivery was super fast today like 15-20 mins fast!! My salad bar was forgotten but it really doesn’t matter because I’m so happy it was delivered quick!Ordered: morrocan cigars, veg. soup, falafel in pita with all the fixings, Israeli grapefruit drink and extra pickles and techina on the side!!
The counter lady, a young religious Jewish lady (I too am Jewish so no anti-Semitism implied) was very unhelpful, unfriendly and even nasty. We did not feel welcomed at all at Ahuva Grill and therefore we left before ordering. For me, a welcoming attitude is just as important, if not more important, than the food itself. I cannot recommend this place and I will not be coming back. My advice to the owner: you should be more careful to check up on your workers to make sure they’re not scaring away potential customers.
Always a great spot to catch something quick to eat, wther on the drive back from the city or if you are local. Love the schnitzel in a pita or shwarma in a lafa with hummus. Salad bar is also top notch with carrots, cole slaw, chick peas, pickles etc. If you want extra space to sit, you can also hit the full service Ahuvas Grill restaurant at Peninsula Blvd and Mill Rd.

2022-01-28Really disappointed I got the laffa because I hoped it would be more filling.I heard great things but Im very unimpressed.Almost nothing inside the laffa. Either order double what you want or go somewhere else. The actual falafel wasnt bad. But Im still hungry and have to go back to work 1 star for you.

2021-12-09My first time there. Great fresh Kosher obliging staff as well! I bought the freshes sliced baby chicken I ever had in a long time at a fast food eatery. I have a Jewish friend of mine that introduced me to it for the first time & I really enjoyed it! Thank You!Ahuvas Grill,I will be back!

2022-01-31I ordered five plates of baby chicken kebabs with rice and salad on the side. Instead, I got four cold food plates with uneven amounts of sides on each plate and seems like the chicken and rice was dunked in salt. Needles to say, my family couldn’t eat it and when I let the manager know they did nothing about it. Waste of money and waste of food. Disgusting!Respond to owner: I ordered it from Ahuva’s Grill. It’s very strange how you don’t see my order suddenly. Perhaps ask Julio, he’s the one that took the order and made the delivery.

2021-10-13I love this spot! Really good shwarma! Great falafel. Laffas are wraped tight to provide the best eating experience. Quick service. Fairly priced. Finally, they offer an amazing, fresh and tasty salad bar included with every lafa!
