Ken is the main person I deal with at Groner. He is kind, responsive, and has kept our old system running, while we replaced another floor with a new unit from them. We have a house that’s as cold as a meat locker in the hottest of summer days, and in the winter our system keeps us warm & toasty.Tracy, his office manager is extraordinary at customer service, listens and responds to every detail in a super timely manner. We have used Elm Air conditioning and Gallett Air in previous homes. Groner is so far the best company we have ever dealt with in terms of honesty, reliability, and service. I highly recommend them!
My Mom used Groner for her annual a/c service earlier today and had a great experience. Ken was on time, professional and a great help to her. She had concerns that her system was not performing as well as it should but after a thorough and complete check it is working great. I needed a new compressor. After 38 years I guess it was time. The owner Sal explained my options and the work was completed a few days later. His techs were tops. Ultra clean and extremely professional. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them.An absolute pleasure working with this company!
From the owner Sal to each of the guys that did my full A/C replacement, they were wonderful. They took the time to talk through all the alternatives for me and when they did all the work they were extremely professional and friendly. They also took the time and effort to be as clean as possible both during the work and after it was completed. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend them to any one I know.
Awesome company. KEN from Groner, showed up on time. He found the problem with our AC within a minute, repaired it and we were back up and running in no time. This is a 5 star company that knows their business. Extremely knowledgeable, and very professional. I havent experienced any company with the high level of service of Groner. We would use them again, without question. When I need any heating or cooling repairs, Im calling Groner Service.
Great company and would highly recommend them.. I have a complicated heating system that would not work. They scheduled me in right away, diagnosed the problem ordered the part and came out the next day to install it, the weather was a factor and they wanted to get my heat back up before the freezing temperatures returned.
The owner was courteous and gave us a reasonable estimate for the cost of the installation and even gave us credit from a repair done on our unit we had to replace. The installation was performed without any mess and in one day in our condo townhouse. The installers were very professional and we were extremely satisfied with the result. We would enthusiastically recommend Groner Service.

Highly recommend - Sal, Ken, Tracy and techs are all professional, experienced and honest and a pleasure to work with. When called they quickly respond. We had a new a/c and furnace put in our 2nd floor and having them come back and do our 1st floor.6 months later, we had another system installed on the 1st floor. I set an appointment with Sal from Groner Service because my central A/C was not cooling my house. My previous A/C contractor was asked numerous times to correct the problem but kept telling me that nothing was wrong.Fifteen minutes after Sal was in my home he found the problem and corrected it. The A/C cools the house great now.After 20 years with the other company I am switching to Groner Service.I highly recommend them.
The Groner team just installed a replacement for a 40 year old heat pump system. They did a great job fitting the new unit to the existing ductwork and made it all look like a new installation. Very pleased with all the technitions that worked on the job. They were on-time, worked well and cleaned-up after they were done.

My central air broke down on a Wednesday night. Called Groner the next morning and was scheduled for an appointment on Friday morning. Groner arrived on schedule and had my system up and running within 15 minutes. Part was $69 plus the service call. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely professional, got to the bottom of the issue and repaired it in a timely manner. Anthony was the service professional who came to my house and he was extremely polite, extremely knowledgeable, and cleaned up before he left.
This company is the worst. Installed a new heat pump at our home, which broke four months after installation. Compressor seized because there was no freon in it. Instead of doing the right thing and replacing the entire unit, they made patchwork repairs by installing a refurbished (not a new) compressor. Two months later the compressor seized, again, because it was out of freon -- again. They didnt want to pull the entire unit off the roof and replace it because of course that is money out of their pocket and is inconvenient for them. Of course, the compressor seized again thereafter, in addition to other problems (blown motors, etc). Three compressors and various other problems over a 9 year period on a piece of equipment that should operate without serious mechanical breakdown for between 12 to 14 years, if not longer. This company does what is easiest for itself, and not what is best for its customers. They also dont honor their service contracts. Basically, an incompetent and negligent staff and management. Rude and disrespectful too. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company at all costs.
Grohner was the company that was so great for us. We were with them for nearly 20 years. They were bought by aire serv and it is not the same. They have taken care of us for years. We love them.
On June 16, 2021, Sonny came to the house and went up on roof, checked the system, and also changed filters. The check-up was done professionally and efficiently.Please send us a copy of the check-up for our records.

So my 2018 started with NO HEAT!!!!!! 49 degrees in my house on new years day and dropping. I read the previous reviews and must say Sal came to my familys rescue. He came over on the drop of a dime, replaced my fan blower motor(And he had the part on hand) on my Trane system in little over an hour and we had heat. Not having heat on a 9 degree day on new years was not how i wanted to start off my 2018. Hats off to Sal and appreciate him on solving my heat problem on a single digit day. Highly recommend... Especially when youre in a bind... Clutch!!!
The HVAC installers/technicians were prompt and courteous. They were knowledgeable and helpful as well. I am looking forward to staying cool this summer and warm this winter!
It is indeed a pleasure to see the same technicians year after year. They show up when scheduled. They inquire about the health of my family. They check out or repair the problem as needed. I inquire about the health of their family.
Every person I have dealt with from this company over the years has been the ultimate professional. I recently had my HVAC replaced and installed a second zone. They were excellent.
We have used Groner service for over 25 years and have never had any complaints. Always very professional and knowledgeable. Wouldnt think of calling another company.
This is the worst heating and air conditioning company ever. I purchased a new heat/air pump and also had them put a damper in for 2 zones in my townhouse condo. Over $10,000 spent. The first winter I awoke to no heat. They didnt service on the weekend so I had to move out of my home for 3 days until it was fixed. They claimed a spider built a nest on the roof in the unit. 6 months later my AC unit is not working. Again its been 2 days. Sal came without a tall enough ladder to the roof. Now it is 90 plus degrees and I have to go a second night with no AC and they will try to come tomorrow by noon. I work and this is so inconvenient. What really annoyed me is that he claims my unit worked in the winter and the notes in the office show there was no issue this past winter and my unit was functioning!!! Imagine!!!I hope it gets fixed tomorrow and then I will take further action. Either my unit is a lemon or Groner is a scam.
I have not used their services. That being said they are not a good neighbor to the Hicksville community. Their trucks and personal vehicles block the public sidewalks and debris overflows their dumpster. Based on those observations I would not use their services.
We have a maintenance contract. They called to make appointment. Arrived on time. Changed filters, checked pressures. All was good.
Excellent service. Friendly and knowledgable techs. Office staff was very helpful as well in answering questions. Would highly recommend them and will be using them for all of my future HVAC needs.

2022-06-05My AC in my condo was not cooling after running it for 2 days. I called Groner after reading their reviews and decided to give them a try. They were rated high for their professionalism, punctuality and long history of satisfactory service with several customers. The reviews were not wrong. Customer service was great, friendly and I was able to get an appointment within 2 days of my call. They were flexible to work around my availability. They followed my call with a text to confirm my appointment. I also got a text to confirm the night before and the morning of my appointment when the technician was on the way. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and even showed me the problem. The capacitor was bulging from heat over the years and needed to be replaced. They tested the AC again before leaving to make sure it was cooling. Happy customer. I will definitely use them again and have since recommended them to other unit owners in my building that were also having issues. Thanks Groner!!

2021-06-08My AC wasnt cooling as it should. I called Groner because I had used them previously and had a great experience. Once again, I was not disappointed. First of all, when you call the office, they are professional and return calls in a timely manner. Anthony was the technician, and I found him to be friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and explained everything including pricing. The repair was made in no time. It was late in the day and I was the last service call. Im sure Anthony was anxious to go home, but he didnt rush. He took the time to make sure all was working properly and he changed the filter for me before he left. Exceptional service.

2021-05-21In the 12 plus years weve relied on Groner Service for our central AC unit, they have kept our AC running smoothly and theyve done a terrific job. The few times Ive needed service beyond the annual maintenance checkup they have been very responsive, always friendly and 100% effective in keeping my unit in top form. I highly recommend!!

2021-05-04I had my central air done 10 years back and it was a smooth experience. Ken, and his staff (Tracy and the lead installer Patrick) were all very courteous and eager to help. They performed the work in a professional manner and I had no problems in getting the inspector to sign off on the job. The thing that struck me was when Tracy had taken upon herself to register the warranty for both the air handler and compressor and mailed over the final documents. To date, I mention about the service I received to family and friends.Fast forward, 10 years later, I had my service tuneup done like a week ago and everything was running just as fine (fingers 🤞).So all in all a very professional, competent and customer oriented company. I will definitely recommend them anytime!

2021-04-12I have found this company to be one of the finest examples of old fashioned service. I have been in my house for fifty years and they have been with me all that while. They have maintained and expanded my systems whenever needed at reasonable cost and exceptional attention to detail and quality work. I wouldnt be without their friendly and knowledgeable staff to address any and all heating and cooling concerns.

2021-09-2812:06PM I called this company since my heater stopped working after doing oil to gas conversion. My plumber(who did gas conversion) couldnt figure what he has done wrong even after visiting my place more than 3 times. I just got tired of it and decided to contact this company. Service tech, Andrew, came to my house 1pm sharp same day, and figured out what the problem is in less than 5 minutes. Andrew fixed the problem and double checked everything is working properly and left before 2pm. Definitely a super positive experience with this company and Andrew. (Plus there is no upselling or hidden fees)

2021-07-02Awful! AC was not working. Had two service calls with two different techs none of which did anything. Said they would order parts and get back to us. No one did. Repeated calls to the office and all we were told was parts are hard to get! Really?! Called another company who came within a day and had the system up and running with a part he had in the van that is readily available. This is not the Groner from years ago who wouldn’t leave before making sure the job was done right. So glad I found a competent company who knows what they’re doing - Groner does not!

2021-06-08I used Groner to install a dehumidifier system in my home. When the motor malfunctioned after afew years, the staff at Groner could not have been more helpful in getting it replaced from the manufacturer at no cost. The Groner serviceman who came to install the mew machine was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. This company goes the “ extra yard” to provide great service.

2018-07-30A true CLASS ACT! This team knows what they are doing! They are friendly, experienced, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We had a problem with our A/C and another company charged me hundreds of dollars to tell me that its busted and I need to replace it. When I called Groner, they had a quick response and they were able to quickly and accurately diagnose and repair the problem with our 33 year old A/C! Great service and pricing. Was great to see someone take pride in their work. Job well done! THANK YOU!
