I have had a fantastic experience working with AJ Madison. I dont tend to write reviews, but their service has been so above and beyond what I have experienced with other home goods providers that I felt compelled. I have places several orders with Elijah. He has been super responsive and informative. For example I was concerned about whether a product would fit in the service elevator in my building and he went out of his way to contact the manufacturer to provide detailed packaging dimensions. Appliances have also come when or before they have said they would come. There was a small cosmetic issue from the factory with one appliance and Amanda S. quickly resolved the problem. She also went above and beyond. Five stars all around! I am really pleased.
We ordered a nice Samsung fridge. The reason they get 3 stars is the fridge arrived undamaged and the day that was stated. They lost 2 star because the service was very poor through the waiting and delivery process. Inaccurate time of delivery stated on their site at ordering, long waits on phone, inaccurate/inconsistent info from customer service, and delivery experience was very poor. During the delivery, we were investigating the fridge for damage and the delivery guy (AM Shipping) left very quietly (lets call it sneaked out) while we were looking at the fridge. As soon as I saw he left, I went to the front door and they were taking off. They also left the box in our yard without saying anything. We would havent cared if they had just said where do you want the box? and we would have tipped if they had just stuck around. AJ - your CSR team and delivery team arent a good representation for your company.
We purchased two appliances, a dishwasher and a range. Live chat sale with Meir was quick and easy. Regrettably, the dishwasher came damaged. Amanda S handled the replacement in a cordial and professional manner. Her service was outstanding. We now need a refrigerator and will be buying it through AJ Madison. If the dishwasher hadn’t been damaged on arrival, we would have given them 5 stars.
Had a little confusion on my order which gave me a chance to interact with a several of the AJ Madison team members, mostly Cheryl and Maria. Wow!! This company does Customer Service with excellence. My new washer arrived quickly in perfect condition. Their shipper is excellent in communication. Excellent experience overall. Definitely recommend this firm!
I will never purchase from AJ Madison again. The $8000 + order was placed on 5/17/22 and was not received until 6/9. The only reason it was delivered on 6/9 was because I had to contact the president of the company complaining about lack of customer service. On 5/27 I got an email that the order had arrived in a local distribution center and that I would be contacted in 5 business days about actual delivery. I was never contacted. Finally, after the order sat in the distribution center for 11 days I contacted various people at the company.One item arrived dented, but since it was not going to show after installation I decided to ignore it. Still it was frustrating that an expensive appliance should come damaged. I figured a replacement would take months.One of the installation kits was the incorrect one and I did contact AJ Madison about that, but my email has been ignored.
Working with Leah R. was a real pleasure. She reached out based on my initial order that had a 12 month lead time, helped offer suggestions as far as what else I could chose from that was in stock and was extremely responsive when I was communicating with her via email. Once I had selected a comparable model, I received it within a few days of the order. I also appreciate the order and shipping statuses I was receiving that were prompt and accurate. Overall, Im very satisfied with the entire buying experience.
Do Not purchase from them if you are getting an appliance shipped. Shipping took 2 weeks longer than promised at time of purchase. I could live with that, but the appliance did not work in our space and we had to return it. They are charging a 30% restocking fee for a new unopened appliance! And we have to pay to ship it back to them - with a freight company! What normal person even knows a freight company to ship with? I should have read some reviews before purchasing. Oh, and when trying to return it, we called nonstop for 7 days and no one ever answered the phone. Finally emailed and a week later someone got back to us. I am not sure how they are even still in business.
My name is Marco Rios from Mcallen, Texas, just received my double fridge for my kitchen. It looks amazing. The entire staff of AJ Madison was very professional and helpful from start to finish. Fridge had minor factory deffects and were promptly taken care of by the warranty department. We bought all 6 major appliances from AJ Madison and the entire experience and price was excellent. Five years later we had an issue with a warranty reimbursement from a partner company that was going poorly. I worked with Cheryl C. to get the issue resolved. She was amazing and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with our service. We are planning on using them for all future appliance purchasing needs.
Ordering was easy and AJMadison had the lowest price by far. There was a very long lead-time for the washer and dryer I was looking to purchase. A sales advisor reached out to ensure I knew about the long lead-time and offered to help me find something else if I preferred. I chose to wait and told them everything was fine. I am glad I did wait because they beat their original estimate by over a month! Unfortunately, for me, I made an error in the order I placed and needed some urgent help. The whole team was understanding and very nice and easy to work with. In particular, Alan really helped minimize the impact of my error. Also, the last mile delivery & install team (AM Trucking) was great too!
After initially prepaying for a water line plus installation on our beautiful, new Cafe refrigerator, we decided to do the installation ourselves to save the $75 cost. The delivery company told me to call AJ Madison to request a refund. When I called, I spoke with their customer service representative, Dawn. She was very friendly, polite, and helpful. Dawn promised to contact the delivery company to confirm what I had told her. She then promptly emailed me with a response that the refund had been approved. Im very satisfied with the customer service at AJ Madison and our refrigerator arrived as promised in perfect condition. Happy customer!
Product and delivery were excellent but my follow up to utilize the extended warranty I purchased was less than any customer would hope. Oven stopped working on a Monday. I received 4 activation codes on Thursday with an apology for not knowing what code went with what appliance. This is problematic seeing as the service provider requires the matching verification code to the model/ serial number. Ill be curious to see what $400+ in extended warranty gets me and how long I wait for a simple replacement part.
The ease of shopping on the net was great. They also have an expansive selection of appliances. The issue are the delivery and on hold wait times. If you have stairs or if the appliance ways more than 300 pounds there is an up charge. They are very clear about it and they are not being deceptive. It is just better to order through the big box stores. They will bring it inside your home without any additional charges. The second issue is getting through to them once you bought the item. Today I spent 1 hour and 43 minutes and counting as I’m writing this review while I’m on hold.
Very angry with the very poor service this store provides. I ordered an online stackable LG washer/dryer . Checked in with customer service about my order, waited 4 days for the delivery, took off work , all to find out my expensive purchase didnt even come with the stacking kit that wasnt recommended to me on their website, nor did the customer service person I spoke with, check that I might need such a thing. The delivery people even said this happens all the time to their daily deliveries! They cant even have the decency to bring over quickly the missing pieces and even are making me wait another 4 days from now to get the missing piece and have their guys install it. This company doesnt have their act together and doesnt even train their customer service to ask the right questions! Why cant they come Friday to install it instead of making me wait 4 whole more days! This is such a ridiculous company!! They dont respect the 3k purchase I made and make me wait even though I live so close and have already waited 4 days prior ! Just 2 miles!
AJ Madison has always been a great resource for sending clients to who need to shop for appliances. The site is easy to use and the filters make searching for specific sizes very easy. In my recent order with AJ Madison of an insert hood I was notified right away that the item was out of stock and offered assistance in finding a suitable replacement. Specifically, Denise was lightning fast at responses and was able to completely resolve the issues. Thanks for such great customer service!
This 5-star review if for Leah who helped me navigate an order processing issue and arranged to get my order to me before my remodel started.I would rate the AJ Madison site only two stars as the item I was ordering showed in stock ( I would not have ordered the item if it was out of stock). A month later the item showed in stock with a different stock level. But in each case there was actually no inventory. Leah dug into this on my behalf and expedited the item. That was good service fixing a website issue.
UPDATE 04-07-2022 Whirlpool reached out and replaced the refrigerator. Thank you.Dealing with AJ Madison has been a real NIGHTMARE.The first fridge they sent had physical damage to the plug and was CLEARLY not functioning, luckily I saw the damage BEFORE it was delivered, this is a big deal because they will NOT accept exchange or refund on ANY appliance once its been delivered even if ITS THIER fault.The 2nd fridge they sent was USED had a problem with gasket which caused freezer frost and icemaker wiring was cut because someone attempted a halfhearted repair with glue and god knows what else (see pics).I emailed them pictures showing the damage, which was confirmed by their repair rep, their response was well it was delivered so sorry nothing we can do now. Going on 3rd month now and Im waiting for a repair rep to come in for a second time and fix a USED/REPAIRED appliance that I paid FULL price for thinking it was new.Save yourself some headaches and buy from literally ANYONE else.
Ordering from AJ Madison was a good and efficient experience — all online via a text chat on their site. The only issue is calling them for any reason on the phone often involves a frustrating loooooooooooong wait time but once you get connected they have very professional, courteous and understanding representatives.My condo building has very strict requirements for the certificate of insurance and the delivery time window and Cheryl C. @ AJ Madison was simply great. She made sure all my emails were directed to her and took care of everything and kept me informed. Everything went smoothly.
The quality of my experience with AJ Madison, from the selection of products to shipment, has been outstanding. Their helpfulness and understanding, amidst unusual circumstances, has been exemplary. I order from AJ Madison because they have the best prices. Even when I moved to Cape Cod, I continue to buy my appliances from them. Recently I ordered a washer and dryer. They assured me that they would be delivered on either Monday or Tuesday. So I took those days off. However it was not the case. The local delivery/installation company could not guarantee those dates. Nobody at AJ Madison cared to help me except for Vanessa. She was so wonderful, caring and got the job done. Even though it turned out that they would come on a Friday morning. Vanessa refunded my installation costs and had genuine compassion and understanding for my situation. Thank You Vanessa.
This has been the worst customer service experience of my lifetime. I ordered a double oven and understood there would be a couple of months wait time due to shortages. Finally, I followed up and was told my oven was available. I was told it was in transit and given a link to follow the status. The oven reached a “terminal” near my home and no further updates. Then a couple of weeks pass so I email for an update. I get an email back that they came to my house to deliver but no one was there and now they need my credit card info to charge me for a re-delivery fee! What?!?! I never received notification of a delivery and when I inquired what the “re-delivery fee” was, they could not tell me and wanted a blanket authorization. This is scary. I paid $4500 upfront for a double oven unit. I cannot get through to anyone at customer service via phone and I am not sending my credit card info to someone without knowing what they would charge me. So much for free delivery. My goodness….
A well-deserved shout out to AJ Madison for their superior products and service! While shipping woes have plagued the world, AJ Madison helped me create a stunning kitchen makeover in just three months. Five upscale Bosch appliances are a dream come true. In particular, I’d like to thank Elijah S for his patient help as I made my decisions in October 2021. He was instrumental in my decision to trust AJ Madison. And now, as I take care of the final details, I owe a world of gratitude to the ever-professional follow-up and support of Amanda S. Of the 5 appliances purchased, one was damaged by the installers who seemed under-qualified for the job. Amanda has been exceptional. She listened carefully to and heard my concerns. She followed up quickly with options for resolution. She’s been my advocate, working with Bosch for solutions. Today, I received replacement doors for my beautiful Bosch refrigerator. I am confident that soon, I’ll be able to complete this review by reporting one last step — the successful installation of the doors. For those of you wondering whether to trust this online appliance vendor, I have nothing but praise for the folks working behind the scenes at AJ Madison.- Happy in southern Arizona
What a wonderful and easy experience I had with AJ Madison. I spoke with Mario Guzman, he took my order over the phone and sent me an update regarding my order. My oven arrived yesterday, a few days early than originally thought. The delivery company kept me informed on the arrival. We have not installed it yet but I can’t wait.Thank you Mario and everyone with AJ Madison for a flawless transaction.
I went to Brandsmart in Miami and everything was on back order for 6 months WT# !! Im in the middle of building my kitchen in a month and needed appliances ASAP! I searched for appliances on line and ran into AJ Madison. I was very pleased when I placed all the items on my cart and they ALL were available for immediate delivery . The sales rep assured Id get a great deal which I did. Very good prices and insurance on items were very reasonable and backed by Allstate.. Definitely a great place to shop! Easy, convenient and excellent service from start to finish!
The Bosch dishwasher works great. Service was fine, except the delivery company had some communication issues. They did not deliver as scheduled because we were not home, even though I tried several different communication methods. The dispatcher should have told me there was a special form authorizing delivery but she did not.In any case, AJ Madison handled it and got us a prompt redelivery with no charge.
We ordered a Bosch dishwasher and it was back ordered for six months due to supply chain issues out of AJ Madison’s control (I couldn’t find it anywhere else, either.) every time I checked in, they got back to me personally and offered other available options. Finally got an email today from Leah that it’s arriving this week. So excited. I appreciate the personal follow up.
We ordered a new range through AJ Madison. When the original order was made we asked for a white range with brass trim. Right around November 2021 the range was delivered finished and white with bronze trim. We immediately contacted AJ Madison with disappointment as the rest of our kitchen is finished and brass. Knobs handles sink etc. etc. It is July 20, 2022 and we still have not received the brass trim that we originally ordered. However, I will say that Sarah S and Stacy from AJ Madison have stayed in contact and have been very diligent in trying to rectify the situation. I have sent them somewhere in the area of 40 emails and they’ve answered every time. They had a very difficult time getting the brass knobs and handles from the manufacturer to us. We also hit roadblocks trying to get the brass trim from the manufacturer. The end of the story is we never received the brass knobs and handles for our new range. We now have a kitchen decor finished in all brass with bronze trim on our stove. We are very disappointed. We had about given up completely and Sarah S and Stacy offered the total cost of what the brass trim would be. They have issued a check for that amount. At the end of the day we certainly would rather have the brass trim but I think that the majority of companies would’ve dropped the ball quite a while ago and we would be left with nothing. So this review as disappointing as the situation was is more positive than negative We appreciate everything that AJ Madison Sarah and Stacy have done to at least lighten the blow of not getting or having what we wanted. The amount of the refund if we want to continue to research will pay fully for the nine brass knobs and three brass handles for our new range. By the way the stove is awesome thank you again Sarah S, Stacy, and the AJ Madison company. Bob and Gail, Massachusetts
I ordered a refrigerator, washer, dryer from here. Im removing 1 star because the washer was no longer available after I placed the initial order but I was not contacted in any way by AJ Madison about this. I happened to find out and ultimately wanted to cancel the washer/dryer because the replacement wasnt something I was looking for.Johanna is a customer service lead at AJ Madison. She was TREMENDOUSLY helpful with getting my order corrected as I was having issues correcting it with a different sales rep. Johanna took the time to listen to my situation. I never felt rushed, she called back when she said she would and was ultimately able to help resolve my issue. Johanna truly put AJ Madisons customer needs at the forefront and was great to work with!!
Do not purchase an appliance from this dealer. While their prices are low, their customer service rating is lower. Purchased an oven on black Friday which was delivered on January 25th, 2022. Everything appeared fine at delivery but we then discovered, when connected, that the oven is locked and cannot be unlocked despite following the very simple directions. It simply doesnt work. The burners can be used, but the oven cannot be accessed at all. The control panel is stuck on locked and something as simple as the time cant be set. We contacted customer service the same day and were informed that someone would get back to us in 3 to 5 days. Its now two weeks later and after multiple phone calls and e-mails to AJ Madison, weve received an apologetic e-mail but no course of action. Twice weve called and expressed a wish to return the stove. The customer service rep transferred us under the guise of contacting someone who could help and instead disconnected us. Weve paid over 2000 for a stove that does not work and cant get any assistance from AJ Madison.
We ordered a microwave from AJMadison because all the reviews looked excellent. We received our microwave and we were disappointed. The shippers did not use proper care/handling and the plate was shattered. I had done some more checking regarding reviews and was really upset about what I read. We were ready to write a bad review. However, I called customer service and was promptly handed over to Brittany. She was pleasant, listened to us while we explained what happened and was nothing short of professional. Brittany handled our case very well. A big shout out to Brittany for a job well done and a big Thank you as well
Purchased a ventless dryer from AJ Madison and had problems from the start. Didnt dry clothes, vent clogged, called AJ they pointed us to Whirlpool. Whirl pool send a repair guy ($400) world for 2 weeks, then failed again. New repair guy who said: do not repair this, it will never work, the venless models dont work, should be recalled). AJ blaims Whirpool, Whirpool says 1 year warantee, sorry. Its going to the dump. Waste - very sad.
So far the experience has been great. Its only been a few days, so I havent received what we ordered yet but I ordered a washer and dryer over the phone. I didnt realize that there were charges for installation. I contacted the sales person via email and was given an email address for customer service/help. I contacted AJ madison through that help email address and told them that I could install the washer and dryer myself and that it would not be necessary. The promptly refunded me for that portion of the order, so that made me happy.
Amanda S. was extremely helpful to us. One of the knobs on our oven arrived broken, and we were shipped a replacement immediately--I think it arrived only two days after the oven was installed. There was also an installation issue related to the height of the oven--Amanda took care of it right away, scheduling a team to return to our apartment and correct the issues. She was exceptionally pleasant and helpful throughout the whole process. Thank you!
I ordered a matching appliance set based on the description. The shipping was timely but after they were delivered and started unpacking them we realized that 2 of the appliances where a different color. I reached out to customer services to figure out what could be done and was told one of them didnt even come in the color it needed to and both items in the set were sold as that different color. So even though the set is posted as being a set in the one color, half of it was not. Then for us to exchange the one that does come in the color we wanted and thought we order was going to cost us another $200 to get. Also the dishwasher had no cord and we ordered the hook up kit for it. When I asked about this and asked if I could be refunded for the cord or have one sent to me they said it was delivered and had a picture of the box. I understand we got the box with all the other items for hookup but we did not receive the cord.

We ordered a Fisher and Paykel double fridge setup through AJ Madison. We couldnt find one anywhere and they had them in stock. We got the fridge and it came damaged in transit. Dented drawer and a small dent on the side. I reached out to AJ Madison and Maria responded from their warranty department. She made the process really easy to submit a claim. They are sending me a new freezer drawer and gave me compensation for the dent on the side of the fridge. I was impressed with Maria and her quick response and help with my problem. Would recommend!
I had a delivery issue that I couldnt resolve without some assistance and sent an e-mail to AJ Madison. Amanda responded immediately, indicating that she would resolve the issue; and shortly thereafter I was so happy and relieved to get a follow-up e-mail from her that she had resolved the issue and explaining the outcome. I was hugely impressed with her efficiency and timeliness. Great customer service is a rare commodity but she proved that it does still exist.
Lied to get our order! Dont trust them!Our oven died so we looked around for a replacement. Every place was out of stock so we were happy to see the AJ Madison had one in stock and could deliver in a week. We arranged delivery, planned to be home on the scheduled day. We received an email the day before confirming delivery and giving us a time window. No one ever showed up and we didnt receive any notification that they werent going to be there.We did the online order checking and it said that it is scheduled to be shipped in 6 weeks. Which is still sooner than some of the other places we saw. Just to be sure we called this morning and were told that this oven is back ordered and they are HOPING to receive it in 8 weeks. She had no way to guarantee when it would actually arrive. We asked why they would say it was in stock when it was back ordered. The rep said that they were having trouble with the inventory status on the website. So we asked, If it is just a website issue, how did they give us a delivery date and a confirmation email? Of course, she didnt know.The obvious answer is that they lied about having it in stock so that they could get our order. Looking into other reviews, it seems we are not the only people they have lied to. It is a great scam because after you have placed the order and already waited, you feel like you have time invested and you dont want to lose your place in line. Unless you can go to the showroom and guarantee yourself it is in stock, dont believe them.
AJ Madison was easy to order from, got exactly what we wanted, but delivery was a challenge from AM Trucking. With only one day notice, it was not possible to accept delivery on a day we couldnt be at home, so we had to decline. Getting it delivered after that took an additional 3 weeks, partly due to weather conditions in other states between us and NJ, but also just difficult to communicate with AM. Finally we appealed to AJ Madison about the issue and it was resolved quickly by Amanda W! We would definitely buy from AJ Madison again!!

Madisons Customer Service Department, is a consummate professional and a very helpful, personable and caring individual who kept his word by following through with his commitments to customer service and product delivery. He is the sole reason I would even consider providing A.J. Madison another chance at my patronage considering the horrible experience I incurred with AM Delivery, the transportation/delivery contractor utilized by A.J. Madison. I ordered and received a dishwasher and dryer but wasnt able to open them for quite some time due to renovation on our home. When I did finally open them I discovered some minor damages. I worked with Amanda S. on the issues and while not everything turned out to be covered the by manufacturer, I appreciated Amandas timely responses and customer service mindset as she sought and relayed information from the manufacturer.
I have had great luck with AJ Madison during the pandemic and supply shortages they have had appliances in stock and delivered quickly - bought a freezer in 2020 and a washer in 2021. And pleasantly surprised at really responsive customer service from Heather - who quickly found a missing piece from my last order even though I procrastinated for weeks before calling. She was quick, polite and laughed at my lame humor, missing piece was delivered with in days! Thank you
Great experience working with the excellent customer service representatives at AJ Madison including: Jay, Heather and Kaitlin. They were each professional and supportive when addressing individual questions/concerns. This was not my first time ordering from AJ Madison and it wont be my last based on the quality of the customer service team.
On January 4th I reached out to AJ Madison, who had provided a wide range of appliances for our renovated apartment, to try and remedy my confusion about how to register our extended warranties with difference warranty providers. I had been baffled. Dawn Johnson, in their Customer Service department, was incredibly effective in walking me through the process--patient, gracious, professional, and highly competent. She had to track down overlapping orders and items, and different processes for the different providers. And had to follow-up in a second email with additional information. But she was amazing, and I was grateful for her help. Thanks, Dawn!
I called in to get status on an order that website had marked as “in stock” (yet i had not gotten ship confirmation). Ileana Saucedo was my agent. She was very helpful and provided great service. Ileana let me know that my item was in fact out of stock, but provided other “in stock” options by email, which I was able to chose another option from. She then handled the exchange process and provided tracking info for the new item, all without any additional follow upon my side… Very rare in the current environment.
Will not exchange their damaged product. We purchased a brand new GE Washer and Dryer from AJ Madison for $4,500. The dryer was delivered with significant internal damage per the GE repairman that was sent out. The internal duct was no longer connected. We have had GE repairman out several times to repair since it takes 2-3 cycles to dry our clothes. We have called in multiple times to simply exchange their product and they transfer us to multiple contacts without resolution. The dryer had issues on day one when it was installed, we had the repairmen out that they connected to us with. All we wanted was to exchange for a working product. Buyer beware.
Cheryl has been most helpful as I have had a few issues with my order for a washer and dryer delivery process but she stepped in and helped to resolve it within a few days which u really appreciate. Cheryl was understanding and emphatic towards my situation and acted to resolution immediately. Thank you so much Cheryl for you quick response and help!
Poor customer service. I called on Monday and was informed our range would be delivered on Wednesday. I informed them I lived 7 hours away from our future home. They said Wednesday. So I drove to the new home and called Tuesday at 4 pm. This customer service person said it would not be delivered at all this week as they only deliver on Tuesday and Wednesday in my area and we were not on the truck for Wednesday. I explained my 7 hour drive, spoke to the escalation department but they said the only person that could help was gone for the day. Since I was already there I decided to stay a few days to complete some work at the house and then I would go home Friday. On Thursday I get a call, email and text stating it would be delivered on Saturday from 4 to 8 pm. I confirmed delivery and extended my stay. I called Saturday morning and confirmed it would be delivered that evening as the truck was on delivery number 15 and I was number 27. At 1 pm I received a call that the truck was unable to deliver today. No explanation, just not happening and no one to talk to to fix it. So now I will drive home and wait to be scheduled again. Find a company that is interested in delivering a product, A J Madison is not.
I have had issues with several deliveries of my dishwasher. The first one was improperly installed by the third party deliverer and damaged. The second one was dented. Both needed to be replaced. Through all of this Claudia Semilia of AJ Madison has patiently and expertly worked with me to get the replacements and to make sure I feel well taken care of. Her assistance has kept me sane! I placed an order for a washer/dryer package online. Shortly after I received a confirmation email for the order. Subsequently I received a 2nd email stating my credit card was declined ( which was my issue & not AJ Madison’s). I called & got transferred to the billing department. A very personable young lady ( Stella Cutler) promptly answered the phone & proceeded to assist me with my order. A touch of warmth was added to the conversation when her dog barked in the background, as she explained working from home. Being professional should not affect your ability to show a sincere concern for the customer. Stella balanced both attributes. She was truly a pleasure to engage in conversation. Stella sets a “standard” for customer service in our “Covid” excuse society. Hats off to you Stella ! 👏
The Dishwasher arrived with no front lower trim panel and the installation kit recommended by the A.J. Madison site was incorrect.Numerous emails had been sent to both customer service and the damage department. All previous Reps did nothing to resolve the issues.Amanda S. actually read the email completely and was able to take actions to resolve.If you contact this company for an issue, hopefully you get her, if not...I wish you the best of luck.
EDIT: I was able to get ahold of AJ Madison and provided the needed information and still no response from them. I am very unhappy with their customer service, even when they reached out to me.Amanda S was amazing about finding our order and scheduling a delivery after it did not arrive as scheduled. The delivery was VERY disappointing. They tried to claim I didn’t order a fridge, only washer and dryer. Also claimed I didn’t have haul away for the old appliance, didn’t purchase the installation kits, and didn’t pay for trash haul away. My dryer came scratched and worst of all they damaged my floor. I called and did not get through and I emailed with my concern with no response.
UPDATE:Amanda S tried to resolve the issue with me, to no avail. She asked me to order an additional kit on Amazon, after which they scheduled a FOURTH delivery. I took time off work, and again, they told me upon arrival that they wouldnt be able to deliver because my gas line is too loose. By this point, I have no faith anymore that they will actually get us our order.We ordered a washer dryer kit through AJ Madison, including installation. They have attempted to deliver THREE times, but were not able to give me the goods any of the times either because of missing products or missing parts. When I complained about the service to a customer rep and demanded a refund, they informed me that they could only give me a 30% refund since the products have been shipped already, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM.I would be very wary buying products from this company.
A horrendous company to deal with. Placed an order months ago. No one reaches out. Their sales staff is poorly trained and they dont give updates on the order. They ignore calls and emails and are a total nightmare to deal with. One person will say the order is shipping this week, the next person will say its coming in six months. They have no idea what theyre doing. Even the back office cant file a proper Certificate of Insurance. (Had to have them redo it six times and even then it was incorrect.) I recommend this place if you never want your appliance and you want to be treated like you dont exist. For everyone else, go to Gringer: way more honest.
The only reason I am not giving this review 0 stars is because of Alan, who worked tirelessly for many hours to ensure my delivery came promptly. He saw that technicians were about to attempt delivery number 5 of my appliances (the 4 attempts beforehand all came with harships & no success) and wanted to make sure my experience wasnt further halted.If I could give this review only about Alan, it would be 5 stars. Because every other facet of my experience has been nothing but negative, it unfortunately will only be receiving 1.
Our CSR Claudia turned a potential unpleasant situation into a win. Its not how you start, it how you finish! My oven/microwave combo arrived and was installed without issue. Once in use, we had some bugs to work out. Claudia was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to offer solutions. I am pleased with the customer service she provided and happy to say that our issue has been resolved.
Wow! Customer service rep Dawn was extremely helpful in following on my order and keeping me updated during the process. I ordered a refrigerator online that actually had been discontinued and the newer version cost much more. I was expecting AJ Madison to charge me more or cancel the order. To my complete surprise Dawn and AJ Madison honored my original order price. I couldnt be more pleased with Dawns assistance on behalf of me, and AJ Madison.
I have ordered from AJMadison over a dozen times. I live far away in Charlotte NC. It’s easier than dealing with local dealers. Anytime something is wrong they always take care of it. Amanda has been so helpful in a couple things that needed to be taken care of and made it so easy.
I work for a construction company. I used AJ Madison to order a fridge and dishwasher for one of my projects. The whole process was very smooth. The dishwasher I had originally wanted ended up being backordered. Leah R. helped me switch to a similar dishwasher that was in stock. That helped my project stay on schedule.
Yesterday we received our 2 items out of 4 order. The microwave is ok but the oven is broken, door busted. We received an email the day before that the rest (fridge & dishwasher) will be ship later in JULY. Now, we email them for the busted oven and ask for replacement or refund and cancel the remaining order. They said they will charge us of 30% restocking fee of the items that we want to cancel! Why would you charge us of the items that was not ship yet for restocking fee? Now, they took our money in the bank that supposed to be our house payment for their restocking fee! You’re screwing up a Vietnam Veteran who’s relying only in pension! Give us back our money if you have conscience!
Do not buy from this company!They work with 3rd party delivery companies that they have no control over. I left instruction about a steep driveway together with the purchase of an item. That was not communicated to the delivery company, who came with a big truck and said they cant deliver the item. Upon going back to AJM and a lot of back and forth with their terrible customer service, they tell me I have to pay for the smaller truck and third man. I declined and they go back to negotiate with the delivery company. Eventually they come to an agreement but it takes them days to confirm a delivery date, which is another one and a half weeks out, because they dont have the qualified person available needed for the installation of the item. After all this, its better to go with a trusted company instead, even if the delivery date there is slightly longer. You will avoid lots of frustrations.
Great after sales service team. As with all retailers, we ran into a couple of issues with delivery and defective products after our client used it for a few months, but with consistent follow ups, we were able to find a good solution that you may not find with other big box retailers. We will be ordering from AJ Madison for all our project needs.
Cheryl in Customer Service was super helpful in correcting the mix up when the wrong washing machine was delivered. And the AJ Madison installation guys were very knowledgeable. They removed the wrong machine and installed the new one quickly and efficiently. Thanks so much Cheryl!
I was a little skeptical ordering my kitchen appliances online, for my kitchen remodel. In fact, my refrigerator and microwave were damaged during shipment, but Erin at AJ Madison worked with me in a timely manner to replace and resolve the issues to my complete satisfaction. Exactly what I expect from great customer service.
When my order arrived one item was missing and one item was damaged. I was really dreading the struggle that I felt I was going to go through to get all this resolved I called and spoke with Cheryl a Customer Service Representative she called the shipping company while was on the phone and found out that shipping company forgot to load one item on the truck. She had them and ship it out priority. Then had a replace shipped out for the damaged item. Cheryl made this the best costumer service experience I have ever had.
I called this company twice today to get the specifications for a panel-ready dishwasher. The first gentleman, before even listening to what I needed, transferred me off elsewhere which was not helpful. The second gentleman literally hung up on me mid-sentence after realizing their website did not have the specs that I needed. He directed me to Home Depots website and while I was responding that they also did not have it, he hung up. If they cant represent products purchased from them, they shouldnt be selling them.
I purchased a new refrigerator which originally turned up damaged. I worked directly with Kellee who was awesome! Throughout the process, she made herself available to navigate the return and replacement over a period of 3 weeks (due to backorder). While the first item turned up damaged, these things happen. What’s important is how a company reacts, and I’d 100% recommend AJ Madison due to their amazing service team
In-stock does not mean in stock! And they charge you things without your permission. I would be weary of purchasing anything from this company. Deceptive practices = deceptive company.I ordered a dishware from them because I needed it right away. I couldve order from my local appliance dealer but it would have taken a month to arrive. AJ Madison website said item was in-stock so I ordered from them. Got an email right away saying item will ship in 2 days. But thats not accurate, it simply mean that it is going to some distribution warehouse where the it will be schedule to be shipped. Bottom line, I got a second email stating item should be delivered in 4-6 weeks. Even though their website clearly states IN-STOCK. Also customer service was less than sympathetic or helpful, basically said too bad too sad.One more thing, they charge you extra without you knowing. For delivery I put I live in a 2nd story walk up. They charged an extra $100 for delivery. I dont mind if they charge you extra for this service, but they should at least inform you of it. Only way I found out was because I noticed an extra $100 charge on my credit card. It was a small item and I can bring it up my self, I should be given the option, dont just charge me without asking.I would avoid ordering anything from them, even if it says in-stock I would recommend you call and find out and actual and honest ship date. And ask how much you will be charged for delivery.AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!
AJ Madison delivered as promised! Sonny was excellent organizing our Five Star 48” range purchase. AM Trucking delivered and installed our new range, and removed our existing range with no damage. Alan took care of a billing issue. We were initially reluctant to use a national appliance vendor for this purchase, but the process was uneventful and AJ Madison has a customer for life.
I had several issues that A. J. Madison slipped up on. Jay Z. is a wiz. So knowledgeable, so polite, so friendly, and not at all condescending. You felt that he wanted the customer to be happy. I am a property manager and deal with lots of service people. This Jay Z. Is a rare find. Seriously, I think the company should give him a raise in appreciation for his skills, or some special recognition.
After a long wait for a Bosch dishwasher it arrived dented. Took a frustrating while to reach customer service but I got incredibly lucky with Maria F. who helped me set up an appointment with a Bosch representative, to change my door. There was quite a bit of back and forth and thankfully Maria did her job perfectly and AJ could use more like her.
I purchased all new kitchen appliances for a customer during a home remodel. The in-stock items were shipped immediately with no issues. The other items became further delayed so Mindy reached out to inform me of the delay and gave me plenty of other options for in stock items in case the home owners didnt want to wait. Mindy swapped the order in less than a minute of emailing her the change order and sent the shipping confirmation. Thanks, Mindy! AJ Madison is my go-to for all things concerning appliances.
As a contractor I will never, ever order again from this company for projects. Customer service is useless. No help what so ever. Hold times exceed 30mins constantly. No one one responds via email either. You can check your order status on their website but it gives no helpful information. Absolutely terrible company for appliance supply. Avoid at all costs. Youre better off paying a little more with a different vendor.
As a builder I have ordered 120k in appliances over the last few years. The service and delivery used to be great. The last 3 houses have all had damaged appliances. I now have a house that I am waiting 54 days for appliances that were in stock. Stay away. The company has gone downhill. Both Lowe’s and Home Depot have stepped up their game. My local appliance house has even now gotten appliances in 10 days now. Customer service is horrible. Do not use this company. 57 minutes and hung up. This is after 6 emails over 3 weeks.
My original order was out of stock. When it became available, it shipped separately. Paperwork stated I had both items, yet I only received one. Luckily, I spoke with Brittany who was patient and thorough enough to resolve everything. I have my complete order and a respect for a true professional. Thank you, Brittany.
Stay away! I wish that I could give negative stars. This company is abysmal in every aspect. When I ordered the applainces they said they were available , and after I paid they sent an email saying they were backordered. I actually had to call to get that email because they never gave an update after the initial order was placed. When my order did arrive, it was missing an item. This was not part of the appliances, but was a separate $50 line item. When I called they said that either the distributor would send it out (if they still had it) or that AJM would order another one and send it right away. They would let me know the next day. Guess what???? They never called. I dont have the part yet but we installed the washer/ dryer today. It flooded the floor twice and has an error code saying that it cant be fixed without a service call. The machien itself is broken. I called AJM and after getting my call dropped twice and then waiting twenty minutes on hold, the service department said: 1) you cant return the machine because our plumber installed it and 2) they have to send you a form to fill out which they will send to the manufacturer and the manufacturer will then respond in 3-4 business days as to when they can possibly send somebody out. Final result: broken new washing machine, flooding of my brand new floor, missing ordered item, three dropped calls, and hours of wait time. We NEVER buy from somebody who doesnt service their appliances and we broke that golden rule. Please buy local!!!!!Update: The local Miele service rep came after two weeks. The brand new washing machine was broken in two places: 1) The front control panel and 2) a large crack in a plastic pipe which was flooding the machine. Next steps are of course to wait two more weeks for the parts to come in. The total delay will be more than a month. AJ Madison should have replaced the machine and dealt with the warrenty issues themselvs as they delivered it broken and damaged. However, this company is completely worthless and left us to deal with the headache. I urge you not to buy from this company, avoid it at all cost! They have no interest in serving customers, dont even get me started on their phone system and responses. I am going to call every authority that I can, the AG, BBB. etc.

Very unhappy with their service. New dishwasher, bought the install service (fee) with the required install kit. When the delivery guys came, they said they werent allowed to do installation. AJ refunded the install fee, but I had ordered the dishwasher from then specifically because they offered installation. Called to discuss what happened, the customer service agent couldnt explain why they wouldnt install, and then transferred me to the delivery agents office, who didnt even pick phone. If you want customer service on your expensive purchases, go somewhere else.
I would order through AJ Madison again.My old dryer suddenly stopped working. I called a repair service that came and quickly diagnosed the problem. However, they could not get the needed part for at least two months due to supply chain disruptions. I had some complaints about the way they did not communicate. Keeping informed about their progress was not easy. Im not mentioning who because this review is not about them. This review is about AJ Madison.So, because of my complaints about the repair service, I informed them that I was releasing them from repairing the dryer—no need to come back to finish the repair. And so, in the meantime, my dryer was the way they left it, disassembled, parts all over the place.I decided that this was the time to get a new washer and dryer set. Maybe the supply chain disruptions would not affect getting a new washer and dryer. And I was in the mood for an upgrade. So I researched and decided on the Miele Washer and Dryer. AJ Madisons website makes it easy to specify parameters such as Energy Star, brand, and dimensions. The dimensions were important because I have a narrow staircase the new machines need to pass down. I found the website product pictures and descriptions very accurate. And I also studied the manufacturers websites.I ordered on the AJ Madison website. The website informed me that only the dryer (or maybe it was the washer) was in stock. That meant that the other one was not in stock. Also, the website gave me a choice of having one delivered and then the other or waiting to have both delivered together. And there were other choices such as for installation and removing old machines.When I contacted AJ Madison, they checked my order. They helped me avoid several ordering mistakes. For example, I had only specified installation for one of the units. Of course, I wanted the installation of both units.Amanda was the representative. She managed my expectations well. Unfortunately, because of the current supply chain disruptions, the Miele washer and dryer could not be delivered until late June, about three months away. So, I thought, ordering new did not avoid supply chain disruptions, after all.Then, about three weeks later, in May, Amanda emailed me that the machines could arrive in three days. The installers arrived about an hour early, delivered and installed the machines, were personable, and left the machines ready to use.Then I realized that the installers did not open two of the boxes. So I opened the boxes and saw that I had ordered parts and kits the installers had not used because there was no place to use them. For example, I ordered hookup hoses, but the Miele washer already comes with hookup hoses. I ordered these extra items by my mistake.I emailed Amanda about returning the unused items for credit. It was no problem. She emailed me Return Authorization Numbers and explained clearly how to send the items back.Today, she thoughtfully emailed me that AJ Madison received the items, and the credit is being issued.Because AJ Madison was so easy, pleasant, and considerate of my costs, I would order through AJ Madison again.
I placed an order for GE Monogram appliances with AJ Madison 2 months ago and noticed that there was a rebate for GE Monogram from GE Ms website. I called AJ Madison to see if I could get the same rebate and Jacob Dahan helped me out and was incredibly friendly and resourceful. He was able to get all of my appliance orders placed and I was able to confirm the invoiced amount in real time via email as well as see the order get updated in my cart. Its been two months now and half of my order has been recieved. I reached out to get an ETA for the remainder of my order and Rivky Kaufman has been very responsive and helpful. He checked on my order right away and shipped out my dishwasher that they just received shipement for. Overall, very happy with the service. Will update once the appliances are opened and installed!
They promises fast shipping, not so ,refrigator arrived late ,all banged up ,like it fell off a truck ,delivery person popped up in flip flops and sweat suit. Tried to get replacement took forever still didnt get , just a bunch of promises. Their customer service not the best no follow up. Had to cancel order .Try another appliance supplier ,I did much better experience .
Installation was not completed properly when appliance was delivered on a Friday. I emailed AJMadison to inform them that the delivery company did not provide the complete installation service. Ortal Katz promptly replied. The delivery/installation team returned the following Monday and completed the installation. As I was not able to use the appliance, Ortal Katz issued a partial credit for the installation. Quite happy with the prompt and courteous service.
On June 19th my wife and I went to AJ Madison to purchase a refrigerator for our rental unit and a subzero for our house. We were helped by Howard. We purchased the refrigerator for the tenant. Howard emailed the receipt to us. When we looked at the receipt we found that there were two extra charges that we were not told about. Howard had told us that there was no delivery fee. We were charged $85 for delivery. We also found an additional fee of $25 so that the doors would open in the correct direction for our space. When Howard was putting through the charge to our credit card, he told us that the only additional charge was the sales tax. When we discovered the unauthorized charges, we both called Howard, leaving a message on his voicemail, and emailed him. He didnt respond to our phone call or email.On June 24th we received an email from Howard regarding our possible purchase of a subzero. We replied that we wouldnt consider buying the subzero from him, without resolution of the unauthorized charges to our credit card. We have not received a reply from Howard.In addition we received a survey from AJ Madison, asking how we liked their service. We completed the survey and gave details as to why we were not satisfied. We have not received a response from AJ Madison.In short, if you buy anything from AJ Madison, watch for unauthorized charges to your credit card.
Update: 3 stars. I am revising my review upward because Kellee called to address the issues and reviewed my many attempts at getting help with the messed up order. They are issuing me a refund now, which I greatly appreciate. I have kept the review at 3 stars, since it took a massive effort to get to the right answer.Original: 1 start. Initial ordering was solid/good. However, they sent me the wrong part. Customer service follow up is a disaster. Im at 8-9 phone calls at this point and it is chaos to try to get a credit for the return.
The 5 Stars goes to Cheryl in Customer Service, as we had quite the problem with damage in freight transit with part of my order. It took a long time to resolve, but she was always on top of it and ultimately everything worked out perfectly! A.J. Madison - youre lucky to have Cheryl!!
Ive ordered many appliances from AJ Madison over the years and have generally had a great experience. My last purchase was over a year ago for a washer and dryer and the washer door arrived broken, like the washer had been dropped off the pallet. After more than 12 months of back and forth, Cheryl finally solved my problem. I wish I could have gotten to Cheryl sooner, because she took care of the refund right away. I was originally looking for a replacement, but that is apparently no longer an option. Anyway, problem solved, thanks for Cheryl.
Very misleading company. They do not note items that are back ordered or out of stock on the website. I understand there is a supply chain shortage but other companies note items that are back ordered or out of stock. They don’t inform you until after they have your personal credit information. It’s a scam… trying to get you to purchase an alternative product. It’s 2022 people do their own research and know what they want so just be a transparent business. I would recommend purchasing appliances from someone else. I don’t like doing business with people who are comfortable with shady business practices. PLEASE STOP USING COVID AND SUPPLY CHAIN EXCUSES TO PUSH FALSE ADVERTISING. It really makes you look tacky.
I got quickly responded after reporting a damage issue , .After few times of communications , I have to thank a customer Service representative Cheryl who prevent us from a disaster returning process.Its not easy for everyone to keep postive under pandemic , yet the good customer service making me regain my faith to AJMadison once again.
Amanda is great. During my washer and dryer set delivery, the washer got damaged and I reject both in that delivery. Later the logics delivery company only deliver the good condition washer but forgot dryer. Amanda helped to coordinate finding where the dryer is and arranged the delivery. Just got it today!
It is a nightmare to receive a notice that a tenants refrigerator stopped working right before a major holiday. Three days before Christmas we received that news along with threats from a very upset tenant expecting holiday guests. AJ Madison had a refrigerator in stock that fit our specifications. It was an expensive model, but we knew it would work great and calm our panicked tenant. Getting it installed in time proved to be more challenging. After being sent to various departments, we spoke with Michelle D., who figured out how to make this happen in time. She was determined and successful under very challenging circumstances. If every service provider was a devoted as she is, life would run a lot smoother. It may be impossible to avoid all problems, but how you deal with the ones that arise make all the difference.
I had lots of problems with my purchase at AJ Madison, mainly derived from their delivery company in Miami.This could have been a total nightmare, if it wasnt because of Amanda S. from the customer service department.Amanda understood my frustration and patiently dealt with the delivery company in Miami till the problem was solved.Having people like Amanda at a customer service really makes the difference. Im very thankful for Amandas help.
I bought kitchen appliances about a year ago and have been meaning to follow up. The refrigerator I purchased from AJ Madison has been a nightmare. Within a few weeks of installation, the refrigerator stopped cooling and I had to deal directly with the company, Summit. After months with no refrigerator in my home, Summit sent a second new refrigerator and the ice maker still will not work. Multiple times I tried to warn other customers about my experience, but the AJ Madison site will not allow me to post a product review, so doing it here instead. This is the worst refrigerator - Summit FFBF279SS - 28 Inch Counter Depth Bottom Freezer Refrigerator with 14.8 Cu. Ft.
AVOID ordering anything from this company. Especially if shipped! Service is horrid. They sent me a stackable washer dryer without the nails required for the tray. When I called them rep had the nastiest attitude. They have zero urgency, and no understanding of how to treat customers spending thousands of dollars. Avoid these folks by any means necessary.
AJ Madison has been an absolute nightmare to work with. I ordered everything online and initially had a good experience until the last few months. 3 of the 4 appliances were delivered, although I have yet to receive the handles for my fridge. I am still waiting on my range. I have reached out to my sales person, Joseph Feltz multiple times through email. He never emails back. I called the customer service line which makes you sit on the phone forever waiting through “callers” but then just puts you to voicemail once it’s finally your turn. After leaving a voicemail over a month ago, I got a one sentence email back from Joseph giving me an updated delivery date and no further information. I have since emailed him and have had no response for ONE MONTH. An entire month this man has not responded to me. I tried calling again, same issue with the phone system. It claims you can enter your party’s extension, but that doesn’t work either. I am absolutely livid at this company at this point. All I want is the rest of my order, but it is impossible to talk to anyone. The better business bureau will be getting a phone call from me.
The good: The product arrived on time and undamaged.The bad: the process to get there was excruciating. Hold times of 30 minutes to an hour to place oders or ask questions. Emails go unanswered for days. And to be clear they will not do price adjustments (machine appears to have dropped in price $600 right after I purchased) Clearly they have more than enough business because they just dont care.Follow up: Raised it a star. They reached out to me and made an effort to address the issue.
I purchased a refrigerator with the Sales Rep, Abie Krup and he was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining the different options and the unit came on time and i was due a partial refund for canceling the haul-away charge prior to delivery and Sarah S. In Customer Service was very courteous and quick in responding to my emails. Thanks again and hope to buy another appliance soon!!
I recently placed a large order from AJ. I received an email from them (Leah) stating the product is on back order and will take about 6 months or more to deliver. Unfortunately, that timeframe was unacceptable for my business. I reached out to express my dismay and requested to cancel the order. With no difficulties or complications, my order was cancelled, and money refunded promptly. I really appreciate this kind of customer services. I gave 4 stars because of the excessive delivery described, but with the customer service, I will shop with AJ in the future.
I purchased a coin operated washer and dryer through AJ Madison along with the extended warranty. The coin-op system stopped working about 14 months after I purchased and when I call AJ Madison I was told I needed to file a claim with the extended warranty company. When I called the warranty company I was told that AJ Madison ordered the wrong warranty which made it null and void. I cannot get through to anybody at AJ Madison. I believe this company is a scam and I would stay far away. Their products are garbage and fall apart as soon as the warranty is over and they scam you out of buying an extended warranty that they purchase wrongly.
Heather in customer service is wonderful. I had a problem with an appliance, but submitted the incorrect serial number in order to schedule a repair. Heather worked with me on this and once she received the correct information was able to refer my repair to a local company immediately. This is the way a customer should be treated. AJ Madison told me that I would receive my stove in one week. I was then informed over email that it would take much longer. I asked to speak with my sales rep, John Pereira over email. John refused to return my calls or emails. When I called AJ Madison three separate times, I spent over 45 minutes waiting for someone to pick up and then the call disconnected. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. UNRELIABLE.
We did have some window heat and AC units damaged in freight. Customer service was not very responsive until we got Heather, from AJMadison, to contact us. She was amazing, she totally turned the experience into a Five Star experience. She is professional, friendly, and continually follows up until the problem is resolved. Her customer service is rare to find in today’s world. If you need help ask for Heather. Thank you Heather!
Ordered a Miele washing machine and dryer, the delivery guys forgot to take the shipping rods out of the machine. Claudia the Parts & Service Lead took care of everything. She acknowledged the delivery mistake and sent me a new washing machine. Excellent customer service under a circumstance that was out of AJ Madisons control. As a customer and a business owner my self, theses things happen. Claudia took care of it promptly and professionally. I am very happy with my purchase and definately will be using AJ Madison again. In August of 2021, several of my major appliances began failing. I initially purchased a Refrigerator and a Electric Range from Best Buy. After the first two Refrigerators arrived severely damaged, I decided to try placing my orders with AJ Madison. The first Refrigerator also arrived severely damaged. I was beside myself at this point. A replacement order was placed. However, my nightmare continued with problems with deliveries and installation. If I didnt need these appliances, I would have canceled everything. However, at the help center in customer service, I reached Cheryl Cocco. She listens to all my complaints and concerns. Cheryl took immediate action and resolved every problem. Services I paid for and did not receive, she provided a full refund. Cheryl worked diligently to immediately address my problems and bring all of them to a successful resolution. If it were not for Cheryl, AJ Maison would have lost me as a customer forever. *Update:*The leadership team reached out to me and was super kind and I felt better about the experience, and then it took another turn for the worst. They came back to drop off and install the dyer a second time (a week after the first try), and then I was told I was missing the power cord + stacking kit -- which they did not inform me we needed even though the company was the one who placed our replacement order. The delivery people left within 5 minutes and just left the new dryer in the box sitting on the floor, and I was told CX would call me in ten minutes (which they did not).I called myself and spent almost 2 hours on the phone with CX, was transferred to about 5 different departments, told conflicting information, and was eventually told I had to pay for the parts needed and that the soonest they could come to install it would be almost a week away. I have lost all faith that this will be done correctly, my business has been without a dryer for almost a month (I placed my first order on June 3rd), and sadly, will not be ordering from them in the future. The best offer they were willing to give me was $20 off a power cord.Original Post:We ordered a dryer for our business via AJ Madison, and the sales reps I spoke to over the phone were not helpful or thorough in their questions; I am not a dryer expert, and they did not inform me that a stackable dryer has to be the same brand + size as the washing machine, so they allowed us to order an incorrect dryer that then had to be returned.However, Cheryl, the CX Rep, was extremely helpful on the back-end of ordering and was the highlight of the experience! If this review was for Cheryl alone, it would be 5 stars.
I Had what started out to be a very unpleasant experience. I ordered a $6k fridge and after 36 hours realized it didnt have the water dispenser. I called numerous times and could not get any help. Once I finally got thru to Iliana she said she would review the taped recording of my conversations. I had told them not to send the units until after 4,/17 as I would be out of town. She then said she would talk to a supervisor and she assured me everything would be fine. She didnt call me back for two days and when she did call me. She said there was nothing that could be done and I would have to pay a 30% restocking fee. I advised her that was not happening. I then called my back to pit a hold on the transaction. I then called one more time hoping to resolve this as I truly wanted the product. I was so furious as I was getting no where and was being put on hold and hung up on. I gave it one more try and reached a FANTASTIC supervisor by the name of Michelle Lutchman. I can tell you she saved and salvaged this entire fiasco. She worked with me and u agreed to pay $200.00 ,for the shipping of the original fridge but NOT 30%. Without Michelle this would have gotten very ugly as I would have went all the way on this situation. Michelle Lutchman is a true example of what customer service should be. She worked with the customer AND her company to come to a resolution that satisfied both parties. I will buy from AJMADISON because of this employee.THANK YOU MICHELLE. YOUR A GOD SEND.Jackie Vohs
I had some issues with shipping and overall communication with AJ Madison, which was very frustrating. But until I got Cheryl on a phone. She was the only one who followed up and made sure things were done. Thank you for that! I know a lot of things are out of anyones control these days, but communication and costumer service can make even bad situations so much better.
I have been working with AJ Madison for years. Finally ran into a size issue :-(Had a washer/dryer delivered that didnt fit. The customer service of this company is perhaps the worst I have ever experienced. Their shipping partner, besides apparently being extremely careless when handling brand new appliances, lost some of my appliances for 3 weeks without AJ Madison knowing, then when they arrived half of them were damaged. AJ Madison tried to offer me a discount for keeping washing machine as-is despite the fact that it was completely unusable as the drum was cracked and wires were exposed inside. By the time they picked up the damaged machine it went out of stock again and Ive been waiting 2 months for it, although thats due to the national shortage. Ive contacted AJ Madison 3 times now about the fact that I have yet to be refunded for the damaged washing machine - as promised - and Im still being charged for something I dont have in my possession. They have still not addressed my compliant about my damaged stove from November and I just got off the phone about having my refrigerator returned and refunded. I have probably called and emailed their customer service 15 times since I first placed an order in September to get updates on the timing of my orders, find out why deliveries were late, try to return damaged items, etc. and 80% of the time I sit on hold for over an hour or dont get a reply to my email. The manufacturing delays were not their fault, everything else was. For the amount of money I spent with them to order new appliances for my entire house, all with extended warranties, I expect better.
EDIT: As of April, more than EIGHT months after original delivery, this issue has STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED. In fact, the company pushed the necessary repair to a different company I can no longer get ahold of, and I’ve barely heard from AJ Madison since.I ordered a refrigerator in July.-The delivery person did not bring the right tools to install the waterline and was unable to install the refrigerator. They left it in the middle of my kitchen-I had to hire a plumber to connect the waterline-the plumber discovered the delivery person broke the waterline connection when trying to install it-The business has been completely unresponsive despite many emails and calls to the help desk-it’s been nearly 5 months and I still have no replacement part-the business responded to my BBB complaint that it was resolved despite the fact that it certainly has not beenOverall, this is the most unprofessional, least helpful customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve received multiple responses referring to things I didn’t order and no matter how many times I email or call, I can’t get a helpful response and still nothing is resolved.
So excited to get a new refrigerator - particularly one that can be delivered to a remote, rural area. Many other companies wouldnt deliver to our address, so hurray for AJ Madison. And a huge thank you to customer service support Rivky, who noticed right away that the fridge I chose was on backorder. Rivky helped me switch the order to a comparable fridge that is in stock so the fridge can be sent out right away. Thank you!
We had a problem with a unit that was damaged during shipping and Cheryl helped resolve the problem so quickly. She was very thorough and detailed. She responded to emails within minutes and resolved our problem with a positive solution so quickly! Great customer service!
May 24, 2022. I had a problem with a canceled order and my customer care specialist by the name of Cheryl found the date I canceled the dishwasher so I wasnt charged any fees. Cheryl was a pleasure to work with and had my concerns as a top priority. If Cheryl treats every customer like she treated me then she deserves a raise.
My customer service agent, Rivky, was very helpful in proactively connecting to attempt to find in stock items for those in my order out of stock. It was great to have someone looking out for my order to try to help find items that could ship faster that would meet my needs. I would highly recommend AJMadison.
I bought a refrigerator that I realize was smaller than the company had advertised it to be. Two weeks after the fridge was delivered, I shared this info with a customer rep and was told that they dont take back refrigerators. I tried to speak to a manager but was put on hold for 45 minutes and then got disconnected. This happened to me twice. I cant even get to speak to a manager. Very bad customer service and false advertising.
Aj Madison has really come through for us during our home renovation. Theyre one of the few companies that communicated regular status updates, actually tried to get things to us earlier than the expected date, and double checked order information with us on email if anything seemed out of sorts. Denise, Amanda and Rivky were all helpful.
I bought VIKING RANGE a month ago and still haven’t had any service to replace the front control panel that came with a dent. AJ Madison offer me $250 for the inconvenience. The part cost $400 to replace it. AJ had me deal directly with Viking because they had no servicer in Delaware. I been on the phone weekly with Viking and still no service. Now AJ offers extended warranties, how would they service it if they have no one in Delaware?
Kudos to Kellee, Customer Service Rep. I emailed on a Sunday morning with a question and Kellee responded within the hour with a complete and comprehensive reply to my question. I thanked her and received an immediate reply from her offering me more assistance re: product delivery notification. My background is in Public Relations, she’s a Gem!! And a great representative for AJ Madison.
I had a terrific service experience that is very usual these days. Michael St. Onge kept track of my order and even emailed a few days after delivery to make sure everything was completed properly. Can’t ask for better service and follow-through- AJMadison always delivers.

Kellee Moffett and Keni Jones were very helpful in resolving issues I had with an appliance that came in damaged. They were quickly responsive and very helpful in resolving the issue. I would highly recommend them and AJ Madison to anyone. We are very pleased with all our other appliances.
We have had great service and product selection with A.J. Madison throughout remodeling our kitchen and laundry room. We have recommended their services to both family and friends. The latest (and possibly greatest) was a last minute decision to add a new dishwasher - the last thing for completion. We received a note from Rivay K. saying that it looked like delivery could possibly be up to 25 weeks and to let him know if we had any questions. We responded with an explanation of our situation and received the biggest surprise: Rivay K. wrote that they had found our desired product and would be able to ship the next day. Greater praise fo A.J. Madison and much thanks to Rivay K. for his caring response.
We bought a washer, dryer and stack kit. They delivered us a broken washer, a broken dryer, and a broken stack kit. They refuse to refund our money. Here i am over 2 months later, out over $2000, having spent several days of my free time on the phone with customer service and many days and $ at a laundromat, and I cannot run a load of wash in my home. Feeling angry.Edited to add that a few months later after going through Better Business Bureau, we received a full refund.
Cheryl was my customer service representative with AJMadison. After an incredibly difficult time working directly with an appliance manufacturer, once it got back to AJ Madison, it was great to work with someone like Cheryl who communicated clearly, and was dogged in getting to the problem and solving it. I had placed an order here and Denise has been extremely kind and helpful mentioning the estimated time that the product would be in stock and offering to give other alternatives that fit my specifications. I do highly recommend buying from here, as I said, Denise has been extremely helpful.
About the worst customer service ever. they promised to deliver the dishwasher in time for the kitchen renovation. the truck pulled up then left. no information. no call. i had to call them and they said oh it was not on the truck. will call you next week when we locate it. no escalation to a supervisor (she was at lunch) her supervisor was not answering her cell - who is the big boss? no idea. no call back available from anyone.wait till we get to you is the answer. this is all from an at home CS rep with kids screaming in the background. find another place to buy appliances because if there is an issue here you will not get any help
AVOID at all costs. This place is a scam. They deliver a wrong appliance and then charge you a 30% restocking fee instead of delivering what you ordered. There is nobody to talk to, representatives just put you on hold until line drops. It is a costly lesson do not fall for it as I did.
They will scam you on everything.1. Delivery guy wanted $100 for delivery when I was told it was free. He said I need to pay more becouse they have to take doors off the fridge.2. When I purchased my appliances I was renovating newly purchased apartment. I had refrigerator stored as it came from delivery in the back of my apartment. Upon delivery I noticed dents. Delivery guy said it was just a protective foil making it look this way. Few weeks later when I removed this protective foil detns off course were there. Now I habe to look at this ugly refrigerator.3. Be careful with their credit card. If you would not pay within 18 months during their promotion program they would charge you 30% interest on initial purchase. Not on remaining amount on your card. This way they charged me extra $1400 on my credit card in interest. When I only had $600 remaining amount to pay off.Just go to home depot, or PC Richards and avoid these scamers. Not worth it. Avoid.
I had a glitch with an order that proved to be out of stock but ileana in customer service came to the rescue , calling the supplier to learn that a different unit was replacing the out of stock item that I desperately needed... she made my day. Ive been with AJMads for a long time.. and because if ileana, Ill likely be back for more!
I waited nearly a year for my stove, but that was to be expected. However, it took so long to get the stove that I had trouble getting my rebate. After several calls to AJ Madison and being told they would get back to me when they got it solved, I was lucky enough to reach Brittany. She solved my problem within a couple of days, and my $1400 rebate is on its way!
They are horrible. They never answer the phone and hold times are egregiously long. They refuse to contact the delivery company to come and install my microwave because the one they sent out originally was defective and missing parts. You’re better off taking your money elsewhere
Horrific customer service and HORRIBLE a delivery company . Ruined my flooring. Dropped my refrigerator off of my porch ( 1st delivery attempt) , never showed up ( 2nd delivery attempt) , (scratched the new refrigerator and my flooring and drove away without a signature )
Terrible customer service. Victor Sved will sell you an item, but disappears after the sale. The combination of AJ Madison and AM Home Delivery magnifies the level of incompetence and likelihood you will receive damaged goods. AM Home Delivery will wait for the last minute to notify you they are coming and then not show. They routinely lose items or deliver the incorrect ones. AJ Madison apparently has no internal controls and the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. They are horrible. I cannot emphasize enough that you should look elsewhere.
Had a great experience with AJ Madison! Purchased two Fisher & Paykel appliances from them (a panel ready refrigerator and range), and both scheduling and delivery were a breeze. In fact, everything arrived in perfect condition just 4 days after we ordered. Had a small hiccup after delivery, but the customer service team handled everything like total pros and resolved the issue within a day. Would highly recommend!
Worst Customer Service that exists to any company around. My elderly parents had to deal with complete ignorance from staff and service that is unimaginable. From canceling order last minute to again taking a deposit and now giving them a problem again but they have no problem taking the money…these people deserve to be put out of business it’s horrible

We got a new fridge, oven, and microwave. A person called after our order to sell us white glove delivery which was described as everything but installation. The put it in the room you wanted, unpackaged and cleaned up. We said yes..... then waited almost two months for our appliances to be delivered.Delivery day finally came and I had my kitchen prepared and the pathway there cleared. The delivery driver arrived and askedDo you want it in the garage or front porch? I told him I paid for white glove service and what that entails. After some back and forth, and me showing my invoice, he begrudgingly agreed.He and his partner brought the fridge in first, but left it bolted to the pallet. One of them then tried to push it across my hardwood floors, causing the damage seen in the pictures. There is another picture of the fridge in my kitchen still bolted to the pallet on my brand new tile floors.After bringing in the oven, the guy wanted me to sign for everything even though he scratched my floors and didnt have the microwave. He left without cleaning up and left a pile of debris in my front lawn (pictured).I called AJ Madison, and everyone I talked to was pleasant. They refunded my white glove fee. But they did nothing for the damage, only told me to get into contact with the shipping company they used.2 Stars for being OK but partnering with a horrible delivery company and having bad policy for refusing blame for their partner company (A M Home Delivery).

2022-05-06I would be very cautious and weary of purchasing a product from AJ Madison. If you have any problems, it will be a nightmare and more frustrating than you can imagine to be made whole.I recently purchased a new XO wine fridge and that fridge was delivered damage, see pics. Note the product was not even fully removed from the package. The frame on the fridge is clearly bent from being dropped at some point.I filled out the claim form supplied by the agent immediately when including the pics with obvious damage. All that I asked for a replacement to be sent. They wanted to send a tech, but I did not purchase an obviously damaged fridge that was to be repaired. I paid for a new fridge not a refurbished/damaged fridge. They can take the old one back which has been fully repackaged when they deliver the new one.The agent has stated that the XO product I bought actually came from a different party and that they needed to work with them to okay the refund. Not sure why that is my problem as I purchased from AJ Madison, not some unknown third party. No where on the AJ Madison website does it say that they are just brokering business and not responsible for issues with products provided.The agent I spoke with is very frustrated and completely agrees with me. However, only a manager is authorized to process the exchange. The manager will not process or get on the phone, so continue to wait with only a damaged fridge that wont fit within the space built for it. They are claiming it is third parties fault, but that is making their problems my problems. My refund for the clearly damaged product should not be dependent on their issues with their vendors. I have asked to participate in a call with the vendor, but the agent stated they dont have a number for the third party and only can communicate through emails.I have never left bad feedback but am doing this as a warning to people considering to purchase from AJ Madison. Understand you are taking a risk dealing with this company as they will employ every trick in the book should a problem occur with your order. Luckily I only purchased a wine fridge. I could not imagine how much they would delay and point fingers if larger more expensive products were purchased.

2022-02-11Amanda S was our customer service hero! Our experience with AJ Madison has been a year long saga (from no fault of theirs - just pandemic delays), but their customer service has been top notch along the entire way. We ordered a set of appliances for our kitchen (in Tennessee) back in March 2021 and we received the first two of four in November 2021. The last two came this week, February 2022, and through a few hiccups along the way, we were always met with kindness and speedy assistance to resolve any issues, like our cooktop being cracked in transit on our range. Most recently, we ran into an issue with the rebate claim we had submitted back when we purchased the appliances. The rebate office declined our rebate (we couldnt provide serial numbers to complete the claim until they had been delivered) because they deemed our invoice inauthentic. I reached out to AJ Madison immediately to see if they could contact the rebate office and confirm our purchase as legitimate. Within a couple of hours, Amanda S had not only sent me updated invoices and replied to me ready to help, but also reached out to the rebate office directly to resolve the issue. Even our installation guys who brought our appliances commented on what outstanding customer service AJ Madison has, among all their installation clients. Despite the long delays, we would absolutely purchase from them again - all the way in Tennessee! Thank you, Amanda S and customer service team!

2022-07-13I have always had the most POSITIVE experiences with AJ Madison. I work mostly with Mayer and Sarah in the Brooklyn location.Both of them are beyond helpful, very email/phone responsive if I have to reach out to them for anything.Mayer is very knowledgeable, and anytime I need an appliance which is very often - I work in the Construction Industry... they are the first people I turn to. Mayer lets me know if I need extra parts that I didnt even know I needed or if the appliance has a long lead time, which so often happens in these pandemic times - he will suggest a more than comparable alternate. Great prices and customer service and follow-ups after delivery. I had an issue recently with something I purchased and Sarah helped me out to solve my problem, she is wonderful and goes above and beyond which is rare. I have never had a problem with them.Deliveries are made on time and you get many calls to make sure that everything goes smoothly. The deliveries are generally early in the day which is always helpful.5 stars from me.

2022-05-10I recently purchased 3 appliances with Abe and the sales part was just fine. No problems and he did his job.Upon installation of 1/3 appliances it was realized by our contractor (gutted kitchen) that the dishwasher was damaged when he opened the door. The entire left side track was not installed and several tiny plastic pieces were on the bottom. The rack is just hanging down !I reached out to AJ Madison’s Customer Service who had me call Viking . Viking has tried helping me and even sent a repair people to help but they stated that AJ was the ones to send a new dishwasher. ( track not repairable and it’s damaged)I’ve called and emailed at least 6 times and no one has yet to call me. It’s a full time job trying to speak live to someone and it’s been a very frustrating experience to say the least.Sadly , the CS has been awful. I’m now without a dishwasher in a beach rental property and it’s not rentable without one. Hopefully, someone reads this and finally calls me. Viking also took the store info to assist with getting this rectified. Again , received broken dishwasher …. HELP .. below are photos. All pieces are in the top rack. Contractor stopped install after seeing the inside !

2022-01-10I write this review while our clients dishwasher fumbles side to side when in use.This extremely poor and unresolved experience all began around December 8 when Joseph assisted our property management company in finding a replacement dishwasher that was readily available for our overseas clients Manhattan unit. Upon receiving the quote, our client went ahead and completed payment through the link provided.On 12/14/21 we received an email from Bella requesting information to confirm the billing information to which we provided what was asked. 2 days later, Bella emails us that she spoke to our client who claimed he never purchased a dishwasher. She proceeded to cancel the order citing to us that it was a fraudulent purchase. Throughout this day, I had repeatedly requested a call to resolve the issue and reinstate the order, to which the only response Bella would give is that it is fraud and it cant be reinstated. At one point she even confirmed that she had lied by stating she didnt actually speak to our client, she had spoken to someone in his office who couldnt confirm the purchase of a dishwasher (of course they couldnt!).After numerous calls and hours on hold, I was finally forwarded to Freida Cohen, the supervisor of the billing department. Rather than take action, she advised us to have our client tell the employees in his office to confirm a dishwasher purchase when AJ Madison were to call again. This is how AJ Madison confirms your purchase isnt fraudulent. They call the number you provide them with, and ask the person who answers to confirm the purchase. Ultimately, with the time difference and being overseas, we decided it would be best for the tenant to make the purchase, confirm the purchase and move on.But the problems didnt end there. Delivery and installation has been a disaster. The first delivery attempt was rescheduled because, unfortunately, the drive was in an accident. Understandable. The second delivery had to be rescheduled because apparently nobody inspected the unit prior to sending it out and it was a damaged unit. The third delivery had to be rescheduled because with the building requiring vendors to be vaccinated, AJ Madison didnt have a team to send out even though they confirmed the delivery. By the fourth delivery attempt the unit was finally delivered. Not to mention, each date that had to be reschedule had previously been confirmed so the tenant had to remain home waiting during the 4-hour time window given. BUT, it was not installed correctly.So, back to the phones for long hold times. The original team did not brace the unit to anything, so when the unit is turned on it moves all around. We were able to schedule an installation check where a team would come out to ensure it was installed properly. But, due to the vaccination requirement, it turned out this would end up being rescheduled 3 more times because of lack of a vaccinated team. However, we wouldnt know about the reschedules until after the appointment should have occurred. Each appointment would be scheduled and confirmed via email, and then we would have to call in to find out where the team is, just to be told they had to reschedule.Currently, we still wait for a new scheduled date to have this unit properly installed. I have requested this to be escalated, to which Stacey assured me it was as of Friday...but with two email communications today and no resolve, we arent holding our breath. In the meantime, we have a very unhappy client and very unhappy tenants.

2022-06-27I specifically needed a double oven of equal size to replace the famous workhorse Crown Ovens from the 50s. AJ Madison was the only company selling such a product amongst the wonderful selection of appliances they have to offer. The sales experience with Joseph F. was flawless. Being out of state, dealing with the AM trucking company for shipping and installation needed my full attention. Claudia from customer service at AJM was extremely efficient and responsive to all of my inquiries and needs in ensuring complete installation. 2022-05-19AJ Madison is the best appliance dealer I have dealt with during years of purchasing appliances for various homes. Even though I live in Washington DC, every delivery has been seamless. Prices are always the least expensive available. And Ive never had any issues with repairs. I cant say this about any of the local companies Ive worked with over the years, which have pretty much had problems every time.Recently, I purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher from AJ Madison. Communication and customer service regarding a difficult delivery up a flight of stairs was outstanding. Cheryl, the customer services representative I spoke with, was quick to respond, attentive to detail, flexible and accommodating.Overall, I am a very happy repeat customer and will continue to rely on AJ Madison for future appliance purchases.

2022-03-07Terrible customer service.I purchased two appliances from AJ Madison. One arrived fine the other broken in multiple pieces. Although clearly destroyed in shipping. See pic. I have gotten the run around for weeks. No refund, no replacement. And now wont even return my emails or calls. Terrible customer service.I should have known given all the other 1 star ratings.

2022-01-06We ordered a fridge/freezer pair. Due to the current manufacturing and supply issues, we waited a year+ for them to come in. When they finally got delivered, the delivery drivers opened the packaging and... my high-end freezer arrived damaged in transport. The fridge/freezer were the last items we were waiting for to finish up the major parts of a kitchen remodel. I reported the situation to AJ Madisons customer service team. The next day I received an email reply from Amanda S. who could not have dealt with me any better. We worked out the issues to my complete satisfaction. Having to wait for the units was rough enough, Amanda handled the damage situation as it should be. Thanks, Amanda, for the great customer service. Next week I need to begin work planning and purchasing for the new outdoor kitchen. Amanda gets the credit for me considering AJ Madison as a source for the equipment. THANK YOU, AMANDA S. 2022-04-08Ive only just purchased an appliance package from AJ Madison, so I can only speak to the service Ive received up until this point and not the appliances themselves.However, every aspect of the purchasing process to this point has been so easy and the customer service has been outstanding. Ive received very quick responses to any questions, and everyone has been very friendly and accommodating. Cheryl from the Customer Service Department helped me get the best price on my package and even made sure I was able to qualify for an additional rebate from the manufacturer, which was a HUGE help to our limited budget! I cant thank her enough for going the extra mile to provide a great experience.Given my experience so far, I would absolutely purchase from them again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for appliances.
