Food was just okay. Ordered a steak burrito, meat was dry and not cut small enough.
This restaurant is closed but the website is still taking orders! The location is closed up and the phone doesn’t work. Do not order from here

Awesome Mexican food ... the menu is varied and covers the range of basic Mexican dishes plus also has the usual American dishes we love.Ive had delivery from here multiple times and its always good and just recently did a pickup too ... Service is awesome and friendly.Highly recommended
We just had our bags checked in with them while we roamed the city for that day before our flights. Really quick process and none of our items got lost.
Very good food, and it is healthy too. They put a lot of meat in the burritos. Cash and major credit cards are accepted. They deliver within the area as well. Easy in and out, not exactly cozy though. Location has wifi, but it not very fast/reliable.
Al Horno strikes a good balance blending robust, healthy ingredients with some more varied menu choices. So you wont find much in the way of street tacos but if you are looking for some tasty, filling options (very generous portions as well) its a great option.Personal favorites:- Cacti (nopales) tacos : great spices, fresh taste. If youve never tried cactus before dont be afraid, youre missing out!- Mega Green Quesadilla : a tasty vegetarian option- Morning Burrito: turkey bacon provides a salty kick while egg whites, beans, brown rice, cheese and guac round things out.Other things tried:The barbacoa burrito was on the too meaty side but the turkey chorizo burrito option was more well balanced.
The portions are huge et the food is tasty. I loved the guacamole with the blue tortilla chips. The personnel was very nice too even if they mostly deliver.
Food smoothies and juices are amazing and delicious! They also have a create your own option for the natural juices and smoothies.
Build your own is fantastic and the portion is pretty large. Makes a great lunch post workout. A huge burrito so if you’re going to sit at a desk for 4 hours afterwards it might be too much. I eat half and save the other for laterQuinoa chicken pepper jack pico de Gallo with chipotle sauce is my go to.Lots of hot sauces to choose from.
On March 22 2019 we ordered food from one of Al Hornos NYC locations for our office lunch meeting. We had 18 people get sick / food poisoning. The restaurant provided a refund for the order.Unfortunately my bodys reaction to food poisoning was severe enough to warrant a visit to the doctor. I incurred medical expenses which I requested the restaurant to reimburse but my request seems to have fallen on deaf ears.After multiple attempts of establishing communication, I got one call from Chris (who I believe to be the owner) who apologized for the incident and said he would look into my request. Its been silence since then and my continued communication attempts via email go unanswered. Is this going to take 17 of my work colleagues to report their individual food poisoning incidents on multiple social medial channels for someone to notice?
The food is actually really bad and they did not listen to our delivery instructions. The burritos pale, far by comparison, to Californian burritos, with dry and tasteless perhaps being one of the nicer things that can be said.
Good food. We enjoy. 1 time we walked in and smelled so we didnt go back for a while. Tried again few days ago and was fine. Nice variety and nice people.

First of all, the food is terrible....consistently. Ive tried to give this place more chances and I always end up disappointed. The cooks, I can tell, are not at all concerned about the quality of the food they make. I ordered an al horno burrito today and it was completely different from the other times Ive ordered. It was drowning in cheese and I just cant eat it.I dont recommend this place at all.
OMG I had a steak taco on a wheat tortilla... That was amazing... Big portion too and on Tues u get 2 for the same price! Sorry no pic, I was too hungry 😁
This spot is worth giving a shot. They serve large portions for reasonable prices. Regularly well kept and with awesome vibes. Would recommend to others.
I place an online order at 10:30 am before my lunch break to be delivered before 12. After being on the phone back and forth trying to see where my order was for my entire lunch break, I decided to go and grab something else with the remaining 10 minutes of my lunch so I can eat something. As I walked back the food was just arriving over an hour past the time it was supposed to come.
Ordered a gluten-free burrito, and the wrap was delicious and what was inside the burrito is even better. Will definitely return and order my lunch there for work.

I would not feed this junk to my dog, no taste dry chicken missing items on my order. When I called the restaurant they would not reimburse or take back my order back. This place should not be open.
I used to like this place. It has gotten absurdly overpriced. Last time they overcharged me and I was supposed to receive a refund. Never happen. Not to mention- the bathroom had no soap which means the employees arent properly washing their hands. Disgusting

Very rude cashier Cynthia who was not helping me to place an order! When asked her for the manager, she said she was the manager! So if you need help in this place you won’t get any!

2022-06-19Be careful when ordering online here using Grubhub. The dishes are listed at a certain price, but are more expensive when you choose them for the cart because they then automatically surcharge you for queso and salsa, etc. You have to manually get rid of add ons to avoid the charges. This doesn’t happen using their website’s ordering platform. I’m sure plenty of people don’t notice this - think the place has great prices - and are confused when their bill is higher than expected.

2019-11-10Awesome little mexican joint right on midtwon. Can ask for something more traditional, delicious food at very fare prices. Fast service, everybody was very courteous. Kitchen was a party, all the cooks very laughing and enjoying there time there. You can see that food is being made with love. Will defenetly come back. Thanks!!!!

2019-01-02Def lean Mexican. Similar to Dos Toros in food quality. I had the fajita plate and it was filling just not all that tasty. Coming from way uptown where food is made with so much flavor it’s hard to find that in this general area. It’s a healthier option. See pictures of menu.Oh they also have a random bitcoin machine at their location.

2018-11-14The vegan bowl they have is super delicious. It consists of some sort of meat substitute (which isn’t so much like meat to me, but I actually prefer that as someone who really hates the texture of meat), beans, rice, and fried plantains! Super filling, feels healthy, and tastes great. The shop itself is small but very cute and clean.

2022-03-06Mehhh, honestly the food is pretty mid. Usually, when I try veganized Mexican food it’s really good, so this was a disappointment. I had their Vegan Torta and asked them to add some vegan chorizo. I love beets, so I ordered their beet salad. The Torta lacked so much taste and there was barely any cheese in it. The vegan chorizo also was veryyyyy dry and tasteless. However, the portion was good and overall I’d give the torta a 2/5.Now the beet salad was a whole other story. It was literally just big chunks of beets, big sliced chunks of onions and corn lmaooo. I was so confused! It was overwhelming and couldn’t be eaten. The server (didn’t get her name), tried to make it seem that online it has the description of what was in the beet salad. Even though I told her that when you go to their vegan website (separate than their regular website), it immediately takes you to seamless or something and that there is no description, it just says vegan beet salad. Lool she really was trying to dismiss what I saw, with what she believed and she was kind of rude too.Maybe their other food is good, but this was absolutely eck :(
