Having just become a member during covid I have yet to see the inside of the building which I understand however the staff that I have dealt with have treated me as though I had been there for a long, long time. Their nutrition program is a well needed outreach to our community, while providing its members with quality food and the education to make wise diet choices. I have donated my time and talents for fundraising events that were for the benefit of the Damien Center for over 20 years never realizing the full scope of their programs until last year when I found myself in a position of needing their help and I am so glad they are there!

Incredibly homelike atmosphere!!EVERYONE SO FRIENDLY AND WILLING TO GO TO THE END OF THE EARTH TO HELP PEOPLE.HOUSING STAFF ARE AWESOME AND VERY KNOWLEDGABLE....ITS LIKE YOUR WITH FAMILY THE SECOND THAT YOU WALK IN THE DOOR.I SUGGEST FOR EVERYONE TO CHECK IT OUT!OH YEA, THE FOOD IS GREAT AS WELL!!HEALTHY EATING AND ITS FREE IF YOU ARE A MEMBER.GRAB A MONTHLY CALENDER AND GO CHECK IT OUT!YOU WONT REGRET IT!💯🎯❤🙏🏻✝️💯💪♾🌀😇🦋🧚‍♂️🧚‍♀️🦜🔼👁

The Damien Center does great work in the community. The staff cares and go above and beyond to help clients to have a better way of life. Mr. Quiles and Mrs. Ann are wonderful people with big hearts. Lets all in the city of Albany help and come together to support our agencies.

Its ok but it dont work for all people with the visus. When they made that building they should have made a house not for only homeless.but thought about others that needed a place to stay.apts that should have been use to hou s e people with hiv not only homeless. Its not fair.but building is nice but they got all people that start trouble and no respect or care what they g ot.they only higher a few people with the decease and not others that need a job so the plan didnt work out that great like the dinning area should have been bigger.but i do like they take there licences when vistors come.

The Albany Damien Center is a special place, full of love and comfort for people struggling with and affected by HIV and AIDS. Founded in 1988, The Damien Centers atmosphere is one of a loving home, where each person is accepted for who they are and provided with a wide array of services to improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. The drop-in Living Room is open 5 days a week all day into the evening and for special events on the weekends.

This place is so organized. The apartments are beautiful. The sign in process is awesome makes me feel safe .
