The phone nurses are extremely rude and unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars I would ,but unfortunately that is not an option. They gave me a hard time about labs that I had access to through LabCorp through my own patient portal. This was supposed to be a special time for me and they made it very miserable. I think health care forgets that they’re a business and I am a paying customer. My insurance paid a lot for these tests. Not to mention that pregnancy can be a scary time for some women and the nurses should choose their words more wisely. Do yourself a favor and DONOT use this facility.
I would give zero stars if i could. This office is not allowing me to switch from seeing a resident to an attending doctor as my primary. They say it’s their “rules”. I never signed anything agreeing to this rule, and i have been getting the run around when trying to speak to someone about this. I was told Dr Linstrom was in charge and is impossible to speak to.
Sorry to hear so many bad reviews/ experiences. Alb Med is huge and has a lot of students so finding the right doc can be difficult. Nathan Mitkoff has been my PHP for almost 20 years and he has been a Godsend for me. Caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. All things everyone is looking for. Navigating through the phones to get an answer can be nagative at times, (slow, rudeness, etc), but for me, my doctor is worth all that and more.
My husband and I were attempting to set up with new PCP.His apt was scheduled for 0745.Arrived @ 0740.In room at 0830,seen @ 0845 by Intern/Resident??Informed after 15min exam would need to wait for Attending.Sat in exam room until 0945 waiting.....Ancillary staff very nice - however 2hr wait on what appears to be first scheduled appt is extremely poor customer service. Your clients time is just as important. Will find different PCP.Alexis Ostrander
I have found the front desk staff to be quite insufferable. They will often gossip about each other infront of patients. I was very pleased with my doctor, but she has recently relocated. I was assigned a PA Id never met before who I found to be very condescending and invalidating.
Always trying to get an appointment here, and always running into the same issue - never available. I always have to wait for *weeks* before I can see them about any issue, so why bother even making an appointment? They need to get their act together, or people are going to stop seeing a doctor and just let themselves die.
Great Doctors...but do not want to be a guinea pig for a training resident!....Extremely difficult to get a script refilled that requires a sign off! CALLING IS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE..ESPECIALLY IF YOU SPEAK WITH JACKIE....AVOID THIS B*#+....AT ALL COSTS. SHE WILL DO NOTHING FOR YOU! IF YOU CAN GO THERE IN PERSON..DO JUST THAT! OTHERWISE WAIT 24 HOURS FOR THE MEDS YOU ARE OUT OF!!!!!
I don’t like how a doctor forces u too go to this one doctor when u feel u don’t want to it my choice and I can have sone one in the exam room when I see the dr so I can understand what they’re saying if they wear a mask it not a gd place and u should make allowances if people with disabilities a best friend in the exam room even with them it very unfair if they need help gong to report this office iLife u don’t chance and I will never go here again
They have to let u have someone in exam room if they need help to understand what doctor is saying like a best friend it very unfair if they dont there not doing there job right u have to understand that if someone needs assidencs in exam room with patient dont say u cant go in because of virus Im hearing impaired I need my brother in room with me so I cant unstand what Dr saying

2022-06-06Front office very good, check out is also efficient, the real issue is that you don’t get seen by an MD. I was seen by a medical student and a resident and he had to go check with the attending on the course of treatment. I do not know what was conveyed to the MD and what was left out as not necessary by the students.Lab is another story altogether. They are supposed to be open at 8.00 am but I am here and it is past 8.15 and the door is still not open.

2021-05-19Because this office is apparently associated with the Albany Hospital group they bill your hospital insurance instead of your regular medical insurance, doubling the charge you should be paying. I couldnt find this policy listed anywhere on their website and none of their clerical staff decided it was worth mentioning either. Its incredibly upsetting and deceptive. I will never be coming back here.

2018-10-26I decided to make this Albany Med my primary care provider last year because they have a lot of specialists and a seemingly good network. I was seen by a resident for my first physical instead of a doctor. This resident had rather horrible bedside manners and was readily trying to prescribe unneeded medication for a 30 year old.Recently, I got pink eye and when I called to make an appointment, they told me they couldnt fit me in and I would have to wait 1-2 months before seeing the doctor. I wound up going to urgent care which cost me much more.If you cant provide health care when I am sick, why would you accept me as a patient?

2020-10-21My family and I have used AMIMG for more than 20 years. We have had excellent medical care and the staff ,both medical and clerical, have always been most helpful and accommodating . There has always been a smiling face and concerned person to check us in and answer our questions. I know that I can count on all of these people to help us during a time of family crisis.

2019-11-22Can I give negative stars? I would if I could... The support staff here is utterly rude and unprofessional. When AMC started moving their practices out here in the midst of nowhere, they were sure to pack up their bad attitude with everything else. These staffers STINK. AND--the only choice for a primary physician is a second-year resident who knows less about healing than a first-year med school gross anatomy student. Honestly--if theres a way to screw up, Albany Med can find it. Is it any wonder that St. Peters has taken most of their business?

2019-06-05I am a frequent flyer.at this office. Like many of the other reviewers , I put all these stars in the lapel of my PCP. I feel the negative reviews belong solidly in the lap of whoever hires and trains the support staff ( who seem new each month) They are just clueless and lost. A good Operations Manager is needed to detect and hire the best qualities, pay them what they are worth and train them well. Dont have one? Well theres the problem.

2014-09-18If youre looking for a new primary care and are considering this -- forget it. They made me wait two months for an appointment then cancelled that and wanted to postpone despite being informed that I have multiple health problems and need to be under a doctors care. I found a more decent wait time through Ellis Primary Care. I dont know if the doctors are any good or not but if you cant get in to see that hardly matters.

2017-08-10This is a poorly run doctors office. The doctors are good, but the billing and customer service is bad. The doctors switch a lot because it is a teaching hospital and they will constantly try to get you to come in every time you have a new doctor just to fill a prescription. When you go for a physical, they will often bill you for an office visit, so you have to pay a co-pay (preventative care does not have co-pays under the Affordable Care Act).
