Excellent service at one of the best shoe retailers in the world. The indie boots that sell are the same boots worn by Indiana Jones. If you live in another state, have them shipped so you save on tax.
Best shoes made, bar none. If youre looking for American shoes, Alden makes some of the finest shoes you can buy. I have several pairs for longer than 20 years.
One of my favorite stores. Shell is the only leather I allow on my feet and Alden has the best. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Due to the influence of corona, there are few tourists from overseas, so you can choose slowly. The clerk is also very kind and measures the size of the feet. Since the last is different depending on the type of shoes, it will give you accurate advice when fitting.
The product is very good, but the clerk is nothing. After all, I went home without buying it.
Close to Grand Central Station. Good customer service. Three customers, all Japanese, in a small store. I was a little embarrassed lol
It ’s nice to have something that ’s casual. It may be good to go without expecting too much. Variation is normal.
The clerks fitting skill was not good. Im sorry to have expected it.

2022-03-05When I started working in Midtown again, I walked by the window noticing the brand but also noticing they had models of shoes specific to their store unavailable except through custom order. The gum sole black Cordoban speed lace boots caught my eye. I vowed to go buy them after I got my first paycheck. The gentleman at the store are pros.. real shoe salesmen. They measured my foot and explained the different lasts, how they would fit to me. Surprisingly the boots feel like they were literally made for my weird foot shape. Over the years I have sent them into Alden directly twice for refurb, used the shop’s recommended cobbler who is Alden certified, and been back for a few pairs of laces as I tend to tie them very tight and they wear out. You’re not supposed to wear the boots everyday and I’ve been considering purchasing a second pair so I can never be without them. Thanks guys for the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned!

2017-09-26Outstanding service and quality. THIS is what keeps me coming back to the Alden Store on Madison. Anthony and his Team are superb at finding the perfect shoe or boot, PROPERLY fitting you for size and occasion. Alden is one of the last shoes handmade here in the USA. The quality is unsurpassed and they are, hands down, THE most comfortable boots I have ever owned (shoes/boots all included).When I bought mine, I literally wore them out of the store, walked around NYC for 4-5 hours in a NEW PAIR OF BOOTS (had these been any other brand would have been suicide!) and not ONCE did I have any discomfort. Yes, they are expensive but, with proper care, will last for a VERY long time. These are my go-to come rain, sun, snow, etc.

2021-12-13I went to this store to purchase a pair of boots. I didnt see them so I asked the salesman(who was free) about the boots I was looking for. He said, we dont have that type of boots, now I did my homework before I went to the store and looked them up and it said this store, this location(in stock.) So, I looked up the picture that I saved on my phone and showed him and I said, isnt this ad for this location? Of which he said, oh we are sold out. BUT YOU said, we dont have those boots as if the store NEVER sold them. I asked, could you check to see if any other locations had them in stock and he said, the boots were made exclusively for Alden Madison Ave, really, ok. He then told me about Ealdwine Raleigh and said they sell a similar boot, he was right. This all took place the day after Thanksgiving. Well, I want to thank him, because I went on Ealdwines website later that day on my way back home to DC and brought two pair of boots and ordered another pair. Too the 2nd salesman who heard our conversation and said that the boots I was looking for had a second run coming, I say THANK YOU.

2020-07-13What an amazing experience! Because of everything going on in the world I had to order over the phone. My biggest concern was size. Without being there in person there was a possibility I would order the wrong size. I spoke with a gentleman at the store and we were able to figure my size out based on other shoe brands I own. That’s a true pro!I would 100% recommended this store and the Alden brand. Thank you for the help and you’ve gained a customer for life.

2019-12-10Extremely happy with my shell cordovan jumper boots from Alden Shoes NYC. Sizing down 1/2 size from my Brannock measurement is perfect with the Barrie last.Admittedly, I have not actually been to the store yet so I dont have anything to say about the in store experience, but I did place an order online. It shipped the same day, and I received it on the next business day. Hoping to visit the store next time Im in NYC because I love the look, quality, and comfort of the pairs of Alden boots I own. Thanks!

2016-02-26Great place to get Alden shoes in NYC. The store is small, but how big does it need to be. The service was fine. I got my shoes right away. They took care of me and gave me some free #8 polish as well. If you want Aldens, this is the place to go.

2016-06-22Awesome store. Stopped by on a Saturday morning looking for a pair of alpine grain LWB and ended up purchasing three pairs (alpine included). Its a small store but they have a large variety of Aldens and seem to be well stocked.
