ALDI in other cities:
They offer great items from fresh to frozen and everything in between. Great bakery items. My lone complaint was that the checkers rushed you through their lines, calling you to come forward while the previous shopper was still paying for their purchased items and collecting their items. I couldnt help but feel like cattle. I felt rushed and it felt uncomfortable. I would only shop there for items that other markets didnt have.
Store does not have as much items as it should. Many times basic things are sold out like oat milk and chicken thighs. They need to supply the store more often. Also fights occasionally break out between customers and security occasionally jumps in 😳😳overall great prices on grocery! Week days are the better days to get your items. I wish this store could be like the one in Brooklyn bigger and neater🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
The website needs an update you cannot really see what they have on their website its better that that you go in and then you see what they have you cant check prices of items items or even type in the item that you want the website is bad and its products in the store are good we can also
The products are great but the staffs are always on your way when you are shopping. A lot of the staffs are rude the other day one employee pushed my shopping cart so hard because ui was in the way and knocked down my jar of olives. Employees shouldnt be working in the aisle at the same time that costumers are shopping theres always boxes on floor and they are so rude!
This store is grossly understaffed. I went in on a Monday evening, around 7 pm, and found that there was no produce left... safe for some celery. The meat section was in a similar condition. I like Aldi’s products and European imports, but this store needs attention (and some more staff).
Aldis has great stuff N great prices. When you leave this store you will definitely have alot of items to unpack at home. Definitely worth it to buy from this store. They have numerous this to buy from the food, accessories for your home, car, toys for kids and plenty more. Great store. Its a must try 😌🙏
This is a best place to pick up basic food stuffs that wont break your pocket. Seasonings, cereal, frozen foods, snacks, juice, all the little things your family, or you, may need. Just remember to bring your own bags. They charge for bags like anywhere else, but I just wanted to throw that in, lol. Happy shopping!
Stopped here for the usual gluten free items. They didn’t disappoint. Good prices and many GF options avail. So glad to have found this spot a little over a year ago. Remember to bring your own bag and a quarter with you for the grocery cart deposit. Once you’ve returned your cart you’ll get your deposit back...
Though I have to relearn the layout since theyve updated it in the last month, I love Aldi. Their prices are great and try to tell everyone I know to shop there. Sometimes during peak hours the lines are long but just factor that in when you shop. They have been providing hand sanitizer and wipes which is great.
I really like this location its really nice. They dont have as much stuff as I would like but thats just because I love Aldis so much. I can get 2 weeks worth of groceries for 2 people for only 60 bucks. And certain items are still in use for the whole month. And that also includes cat food and treats.
What a mess for an ALDI!. People really dont care about having the chance to get affordable food. Open boxes everywhere, fruit and vegetables smashed in the floor, some customers vomiting just at the door, misplaced products, opened products (vandalism). Its super sad.
Very efficient which brings costs to customers down. Smaller selection also brings costs down and makes shopping faster; never knew how burdened Ive been by choice at other grocery stores. Store brand products are just as good if not better than products from known brands, at 30-50% less cost.
Decent prices on certain Organic/Healthy eating products. Small grocery mart so not a lot of selections but great for staple items. I am a HUGE fan of their healthier beef selection. The speciality chocolate ice cream $4 is only 5 ingredients! Take your own bags bag your own groceries, thank God so my items dont get ruined. CHEESE! sliced or block cheese $2.50 yummy treats too...dont go here thinking you can do all your monthly shopping & better off getting most produce elsewhere unless youre using it immediately.
This is by far the best place for me to buy food and/or grocery shopping. I easily give it 5 out 5 stars. The only problem which I might consider is the 5-7pm rush hour when lines are long and only 2 cashiers are open. But they are starting to work on it. Great prices and do have a lot of natural and organic items. Go check it out!
Love this place, lots of savings to be had. Great deals and outstanding products. Lots of organic selections, the quality of the brands offered are on par and often exceed popular brands found at other supermarkets. They also have limited housewares, hardware, and childrens toys and educational resources at great prices, important to note that these selections are constantly changing. Get there early since they only restock some items once a day it seems also keep in mind that their sales week starts on Wednesday.
Its a strange mix you find in this store. I guess its the Aldi value proposition. They have one brand of nearly everything. of course its a store brand so you dont know it unless youve tried it before. The produce looked only okay. I bought some just to try and well see how it is. I can say the cheese selection is pretty impressive and quite reasonably priced. Milk is the runaway favorite here $3.35 for a gallon of whole milk in New York City is amazing. So Ill keep coming back to Aldi at least for a few cheeses and milk. The meat selection also had some bargains in it with whole bone-in skin on chicken thighs at 99 cents a pound.
This has become my favorite supermarket. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the food is ALWAYS fresh and the produce is always ripe. The food seems to come from overseas sources, so their croissants actually taste like croissants. I notice the food turnover is very high, so that may explain why the food stays fresh and constantly replenished. They have a lot of healthy choices. A great spot to buy food in bulk.
There are so many reason to love aldi. Their prices are unbelievable. Good quality made food but its not just the food but also their item of the week. That store is always stocked and cleaned daily. Around this time of covid 19 they are revving their gears so that they meet the consumers needs. Just be prepared to buy other than what you needed. Their meat selection is well stocked and inexpensive too what they stock for the day thats it now if you snooze you lose
Superb!! On one of my very few trips away from my home during our Covid19 Pause I found myself close by this Aldi. Being from Europe I am familiar and impressed with Aldi. This store did not disappoint. Very well organized line outside 6 feet apart with an associate clearly in charge. The right number if people inside with the feel that they are really protecting their brave associates. Store was pretty much fully stocked, even late in the day. The great quality and prices I love at Aldi.
Simple and fast, everything you need without having to go crazy on which brand to pick from. They are very basic with branding here, so you’ll know what oh get every single time without having to worry. The staff is helpful if you ever need any help or assistance. Only thing I could say I dislike about this place would be the lines as they normally only have two people on register even during rush hours.
I really really really love this store it is truly amazing and they are just getting better and better with time not only are they affordable they are also in the middle of upgrading Their space and now it looks more organized and you shop way more efficiently when youre in the aisles and I think that its only going to get better from here so even a amidst the covied 19 Pandemic, this company continues to elevate their quality so I think that shopping here is amazing you get what you pay for as far as quality foods that are organic and its just inexpensive so if you have a big family this is the place to shop dont go to the other places are just overpriced. This is my go to grocery store.
The prices are great, the store is always clean. the security guard (a good idea) is helpful and pleasant. The products are terrific and they are NOT name brands. Compare, you will spend less and come away with more groceries. The produce is fresh. I would suggest trying it and when you return (you will) bring your plastic bags with you to save even more money. The first ALDI I shopped at was upstate and their prices was very good. I did not think that the prices in The Bronx would be reasonable. They are, try them!!
Nicest supermarket in the neighborhood. And the most reasonably priced by far. Everything is relatively neat, and everything is clean. Theres a limited selection almost all their own brand. If you want black beans, you get a can of black beans, thats it. They have a few organic and natural selections throughout. Wide aisles, efficient cashiers, and a pleasant shopping environment.
Aldi Supermarket/Grocery store, though its been in the neighborhood for a relatively short time is an up and coming contender for Best New Store in Bronx Hub Area. Initially I wasnt very impressed with their selection, variety and quantities on hand Id their selected stock but they have steadily improved in each area and now they are continually growing and adding new products to their lineup. Their Millville brand products, which are usually their version of brand name items, are on par or in some cases better than their well known competitors. The store is well maintained and organized, tho u may need to walk down each aisle as they are continually updating and adding new products. It is conveniently located in the Hub Area on Third Avenue and there is a parking facility (havent used it yet) practically next door. Ive only gone there maybe 5 or so times but each visit I am more impressed than the previous visit. Customer service and checkout was a pleasant experience and everyone seemed friendly and helpful.....I left pricing for last as this is perhaps their best attribute.... the price is much more than competitive; they are practically unbeatable in a majority of their selection and I would highly recommend Aldis to anyone on a limited budget or if you just want to save some of your hard earned $$$, check em out! I surmise that you will have an enjoyable experience..... theyre making me a believer! 4.5☆ out of 5.
Love Aldi, this one is pretty good. Great prices, products are fresh and good. Remember to take your quarter for the cart😁. Good time to go and find evrything on stock, from my experience...mornings! Oh and remember to take your bags or be ready to buy them, then save them and reuse.
1.The store needs more cashiers. The lines are long. They put your items in the cart and then you have to take them out and put them in the counter. You have to go back and forth unless you using your own cart you give them the empty and take the full one.2. Not much choice in frozen meats. Some items are opened3. Some items are limited. For example we were going to get 4 egg carts the cashier said limited 3 only. The sign doesnt say it so how would customers know. Plus its ridiculous some items are limited.4. Its best to bring your own bags or at least a huge one for your cart unless you want to pay extra for bags
I frequently buy from here because of their reasonably priced items and red tag sale items. Most of the time their produce is very fresh. However, my last few visits I wasnt impressed with the produce. Im disappointed that they started selling their grapes per pound as oppose to per bag. Havent bought grapes from them since they changed their policy. Not happy with their long lines either.
I. Thought it was stocked up, I was able to find all that I needed. It was also well organized considering the mob of people that were there. Unfortunately I was there at 8:45 a.m. and I had to wait until 10:00 a.m. before they opened the door, but I understood why they were filling up the shelves.
ALDI is a great and versatile store in general - but this location seems to be short-staffed at the moment, or the staff may be inattentive. I couldnt find something that I needed and there were no workers in sight who I could ask to help me. I eventually gave up and bought what I needed somewhere else, though ALDIs likely wouldve been better priced.
Good place to get the basics. You have to pack yourself & they charge a few cents per bag (paper or plastic). Lines are usually long in the afterwork hours. The location on Third Ave in the Bx doesnt have a good produce section in comparison to the one on Gun Hill Rd.
I went in Aldis because my daughter first told me about in 2016. She suggested it again because I was complaining about spending $60.00 and I only had four bags. So 02/08/2018 was the first time I went in and I loved it. I did not go food shopping yet! I only went to find the store and look around. What I was looking at was amazing. Like my daughter said if you are on a budget this store is for you. You actually can see where your money. I say that to say everything may not be name brand. However you will get a lot of groceries for buck. If only have $20.00 you can eat for one week and I am talking about for one person. I am happy I finally went to Aldis.
They have unique things. One draw back, you find something you love, buy more than one, as sometimes Aldis doesnt restock same products again. Plus , where I shop, lines extremely long due to lack of staff.Have. 7 check out counters but only two are manned. Slow, slow, slow. Wait I will revise my rating to 3 becaise of this.
Only stopped by to grab a few needed things since other marts were closed this particular aldis i do not recommend to anyone . heres why its very messy and unorganized very ghetto looking if you ask me theres never no fresh veggie and fruits not much of a vegan/vegetarian selection to choose from a lot of outdated items the workers seem to hide from customers so they dont get asked for help or they dont know if asked the cashiers have attitudes for no apparent reason i mean they sit while working why be mad this store makes no sense either upgrade or shut down
Went here looking for organic celery to discover they did not sell them nor any other organic veggies. I was so disappointed the other groceries definitely had a mixture of organic options but not the produce. Left with just one bag of groceries when I had higher Hopes. Had to grab an uber to whole foods. We need healthier options in the bronx.
This nameless brand supermarket carries all the essentials with a minimize price tag. The bring your own bag environment breeds savings and with minimal staff you will find it easier on the wallet. Dont expect your favorite brands but some are tucked away in the aisle if you look hard enough.
The theme is minimalist and they got it down. The drab look makes me sad but I get it. Prices are good. Most of the products say they came from the same place so the real origins are muddied. But I guess you can look that up. I always find random things like a cheap dehydrator! Byob (bags). thats cool also
Aldi is a great store! I visit almost every week. They have a great selection of many ethnic foods which makes me super happy. The reason I gave it a 3 stars is b/c they have many popular items which are fast sellers that they dont restock fast like the Troo moos i buy a case when Im there & if i go during the week to get more, they dont have any. Also, the cashiers there are rude & throw the items being paid on the carts. On many occasions Ive had to tell them not to do that, & whats the deal with using quarters for shopping carts. Very annoying, NO ONE WANTS YOUR CARTS!
Im giving this place 3 stars because of the workers. Theyre respectable, friendly and will always go above and beyond. I just moved to the Bronx in June. It was nice to see workers who are not MAD 24/7.The store and prices 1/2 a star. Oh, and if you need to use the shopping cart, make sure you have a quarter on you. YES, youre paying to use one. SMH
Everything you need is there. If you need a Turkey for this month, they have butterball and every holiday pack. Also they have dog and cat food, litter and wee-wee pads as I call it. But expect long lines and bring your own bags or else they charge you like 15 cents for one or 20 dont remember. Only problem is they put your items in a cart and then you have to take the items out and put them on the table behind you. Make sure they dont mix your items as they tend to put other people food in the cart as you taking items out
Great selection of grocery and really cheap prices. My go to supermarket because of how much I save on groceries shopping here. Don’t expect to find name brands here because aldi doesn’t have many which is why it’s so cheap. If you go when everything is fully stock you’ll find many varieties otherwise it’s hard to find things.
I haved shopped at the third ave. Location twice and both times saved a lot of money the prices are good and the young lady at checkout line i was in, was very friendly. The only down side is the meat section is very limited and both times practically empty even though i was there at 11:00 am. I wish they would open a store closer to the Hunts Point side of the Bronx.
Its ok no parking to take your food to the car you always have to double part or used a shopping cart to carry your food out and bring back the shopping cart if the security guard allows it the food especially the fruits and vegetables they actually dont look too fresh but you do the best you can when youre in the South Bronx
I live in the Bronx and this store has the lowest prices for food and some minimal home items around. The only thing is that a lot of the food is not familiar name brands( you know like names you grew up on) , but for the quality and the price of the food they have , its worth it......!! Ohh by the way , they dont supply shopping bags for your food purchase , so bring some of your own or you can buy the ones they have for 10 cents each ( which theyre also worth it for the price and its quality)...
This is the first time I come to this store. I have usually been going to the one at Gun Hill Rd. But since I sold my car, this is the closest store near my home. It looked a little smaller than the other store but it has most if not all the things we buy. I was quite satisfied with what I saw.
Save, save, save! Aldi, Trader Joes parent company, is a no frills shopping experience for your groceries. Youll pretty much are guaranteed to get 50% off identical, national brands when you buy their own line of products. They keep costs down by offering just that, their own brands and a few national brands. Bring your bags though they charge 11 cents per bag (another way they save money) and credit cards are NOT accepted. They need to continue expanding their gourmet selections as well as organic line which already had increased dramatically since their opening over 2 years ago.
I tried getting a job there. They discriminated against me, i was 30yrs old when that happened.Spanish guy was acting unprofessional towards me.Then one time i was walking past the place, and the security was chasing a 🐁 out the store. After that i said i would never set foot in there. And i havent. I put in that application in 2010. Its sad how people treat people.
Omg I love aldis they have great food ,its not the hood brand but its still a good brand,I love that store and I travel because its worth it,if you have kids that love to eat ur best bet is to shop there ,you can fill ur cart to the top with only $100 seriously ,please go,youll fall in love
Aldi the strangest supermarket/grocery store I have ever been to first of all, they have a weird concept of off brand products, the store is relatively clean, and their meats prices aint bad at all. Also they have now started selling plastic reusable shopping bags with the company Logo of course, for a wopping price of 0.11 cents..If want an kind of strange groceries shopping experience go-to AlDi.
Best Aldis in the Bronx. Others are trashy, disorganized, and sometimes just dirty. Even in so-called nicer neighborhoods. But this one is well-stocked, clean and the produce is always fresh - not like the moldy stuff I find at the Gun Hill Road location. Lines usually move well.
I prefer the ALDI in East Harlem, but this one is closest to home. Their produce is really bad, but you really cant go wrong with how cheap their groceries are. ALDI is really stepping up to the plate with their organic and all natural products. I can finally buy all natural chicken without antibiotics and hormones for a great price (cheaper than Costco).

2022-03-09The staff is delightful and very helpful. The pricing is extremely reasonable and selection of foods is great. Get there early for best produce and meat selection, bring a quarter to get a cart, and the middle aisle with random household items is awesome. I got my Singer sewing machine for $89 there and many other great items.

2022-03-29I always enjoy shopping here. Originally from upstate shopping at Aldis ritually. They always have unique buys at exceptional prices. Their quality of food and products in general is comparable to name brands. I highly recommend shopping there for basic food needs and youll be pleasantly surprised at the extra values youll see.

2022-05-11This aldi use to be good but I dont know what happened to it. The shelves are always empty now. Unless you go when they first open you wont find much meat. They have good deals on salmon

2022-06-15I really like the store the quality and quantity of the merchandise is very good much better than the neighborhood stores the prices are also very good and much better than the neighborhood stores, although it can be crowded at times and you have to bag your items yourself. I would definitely recommend it . We need stores like it in my neighborhood.

2022-07-10Like the store and products but the quarter for shopping cart makes no since because there security guards all around the store. Store likes customer service during Fridays around 3pm

2019-06-09First time visiting this location, had no problems getting a basket or a shopping cart upon entry. Security Guard posted at the door checking-in bags, backpacks, and whatever else they wont allow inside. The place is clean, organized, and has staff visible, working. Merchandise within the aisles can be mixed around so youll have to comb every aisle til you find what you need and I dont believe this is the staffs fault. This is most likely customers grabbing things, changing their minds along the way and placing the items elsewhere. Produce section was a little understock at the time with certain fruits and vegetables looking not so fresh. Im not sure if theres a customer Restroom, but theres no customer parking for sure. Lines at the register moved pretty quick and overall the prices and experience here where good. I would definitely come again. Thanks and enjoy.

2022-02-20Nice products. The store itself was unorganized and understocked with general products that I would buy at the competitor. Needs more organization and more variety of foods such as more choices in products eg. Different brands of breadcrumbs instead of seeing only a choice of Panko breadcrumbs. The supermarkets that I shop in usually serves an urban area and the food should reflect that.

2022-03-23I like their prices and the fact that they are partnered with Instacart. I just wish they had more cashiers. The lines are pretty long. But I guess everyone wants in on the deals too.

2022-04-26I go every 2 weeks and it seems like they have less and less food. Ths meat section is trash not enough meat to choose from.I typically go on a Sunday or Tuesday at different times and same deal.
