As a resident of this growing city of New Rochelle, I support my local businesses as much as I can. Allen Carpet has been part of this community for many years. Great service, quite a large selection of anything from carpets, flooring, tiles, you name it. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and will assist you make your selection. It is a family business, where they make you feel at home and work with you and your needs.
We use Allen Carpet 3 times over the last couple of years and once just recently. We were very satisfied with the service; any potential issues are addressed before they become problems. We found the pricing to be fair and competitive.
They did my floors about 6 months ago, it them 3 months to come back and fix the nosing. I paid them 8,000 to put in new hardwood floors and the replace stairs they didnt repair any of the squeaking or recommended to repair any of the squeaking before putting down the wood because I pulled up old carpet and had only plywood...Now I have good looking floors and stairs that squeak horribly...just like old floors and I hate it. When I told them they gave me a lame excuse and said its nonthing that they could do about it. I told them that I thought that they would repair the squeaking floor before putting down the new floor. They should have told me that its my responsibility to fix the squeaking. They were more worried about getting paid for the job than doing the job right...hate it, hate it, hate it.
This is the same store as Allen Carpets (under a different name - think about why they would have multiple names). Do NOT shop here. These people will nickle and dime you to death. And once they have their paws on your money, you can forget about any customer service. Help loading the stuff in to the car? Nope. Returns? The owner laughs and asks you what he is going to do with the return! Defects? Well, thats why you buy extras according to the owner. Check out yelp for other reviews.
Very poor service..poor customer service..the managers dont know anything on who is coming to install the wood floors/carpet. They dont know when or what time the workers are coming..Very unprofessional. They come in one day and do some of the job then leave. The workers still havent come to finish the job.The managers keep saying the workers are coming tomorrow,tomorrow but the workers dont show up.Also I ordered some curtains/blinds 2 months ago and it still has not come in..They are not honest when the orders will be ready and making up lame excuses.They probably put that money in their pocket. I dont know what kind of business they are running. The job is still incomplete to this day. DO NOT go there!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered 2 boxes of tiles from the company based on the information they gave me on how many tiles were in a box. The information was wrong and they refuse to take back a sealed full box of tiles. In addition the salesman, who claims to be the manager was rude and insulting to me. Dont do business with this company.
I went to this store. The staffs are very friendly. I purchased a wall to wall carpet. They delivered and installed it on time and they vacuumed my floor. The service was excellent. I recommend this store to everyone.
I had a very good experience shopping here. The owner ended up helping me and was patient and anxious to please. They came to measure to he day I placed my order!
This is the worse place to make an purchase... I roder a single windows blind and it took almost 2 months to get my order, they kept saying to me that the order will be here next week....... Also the worse costumers services provided to myself so far.I do not recommend this place to anybody else. I should of read the review that it was given before to them before making a purche

Molding improperly installed. Several calls to store promised repair and never came. Last salesperson mocked be on the phone laughing at me. This is a business that takes your money and runs! Would never recommend them!

Sincerely this place is bad in the service of serving customers and in giving the merchandise at the time I arrive I asked for what I needed and until two hours wait for the boys are not there that everyone has gone to eat and that there is no one to drive the machines that incredible a bad service

2021-01-17I went to Allens Carpet (in New Rochelle) a few months ago, picked out a rug but didnt return for months later, they held onto my selection and they were very organized. They have a large selection and I ended up going with another option, they did not hesitate and setup an appt. within 2 days of my order. The cost of the carpet (installation and foam) were very reasonable, and I payed half before the work was completed and the remainder after. On the day of the installation, they arrived on time and installed the carpet within 2hrs (maybe shorter). I personally had no issues and would recommend Allens Carpet.

2021-07-02Poor customer service from the owner, Kenny. When I decided not to use them for an installation of carpet, he had to return my deposit. Unfortunately, thats where the drama began. Each time Kenny and his sale associates try to complete the refund transaction, a message appeared declined. I was told something was wrong with my debit card. In fact, the issue was on their end. I went to the store on two separate occasions. The 2nd time, I spent a hour in the store before he gave me a store check of my refund. Then he refused to give me back my receipt. I refused to leave without my receipt. Eventually, my receipt was returned. Please be aware!!!!!

2017-04-12My husband and I first went into Allen Carpet to re-do a small floor in the entrance way of our new home. This is when we first met Ken. Ken was patient with me as I changed my mind several times until I made a decision. The floor was installed and we couldnt have been happier. As we continued to renovate our new home we returned to Allen Carpet and ordered a floor for our kitchen, both of our bathrooms and for our daughters room. The selection and variety of products were amazing. The installers were professional and did a flawless job on each. Ken offered us choices that were extremely high quality while fitting into our budget. The next project we began was the renovation of both our bathroom showers. Marc was amazing in assisting me patiently as I painstakingly tried to chose tile for the undertaking. We couldnt be happier with what we chose and the quality of the products we received. The customer service was amazing. I would recommend Allen Carpet to anyone for your flooring needs and beyond. You wont have a better experience anywhere!!

2020-09-24Highly recommend. I installed new flooring in my 2000 square foot apartment and the entire job went smoothly and the installers were wonderful. My neighbors loved the job too and are going to use Allen Carpet. Kenny is a pleasure to deal with.

2020-03-04I have dealt with Allen Carpet multiple times over many years. I bought two area carpets from them, had them re-cut years later for a downsize, and bought more carpets again not long ago. These experiences were always very positive, efficient, and reasonably priced.I am writing this review as I look up their location to plan a return for more business. Highly recommended.

2019-11-13I have used ALLEN CARPET on multiple occasions. Each time they have exceeded my expectations. The owner Kenny really cares about satisfying his customers. He helped me pick the best carpet in my price range in multiple rooms. The installers were professional and personable and got the job done early! These guys are the best in the area.

2019-12-20My wife and I just purchased a new home in Beechmont Woods neighborhood of New Rochelle. We wanted to put carpet in 2 bedrooms and we were very happy with Allen Carpet. We also looked at Home Depot but felt the service was more personalized at Allen. We dealt with Kenny and Mohabeer. We went a few times, picked carpet we loved at a fair price and scheduling was easy. We dealt with an issue during the install and Kenny was very helpful and resolved it to our satisfaction without any additional charges. We will go back if you have more carpet or flooring needs.

2019-12-02My husband and I used Allen Carpet Floors & Beyond for two projects this year - replacing our hallway carpeting and a basement renovation that involved installing vinyl flooring and new stairway carpeting. Kenny worked with us on both projects. We offered great options within our budget and was also able to get installations done quickly and efficiently. I get non-stop compliments on my hallway carpet! We will definitely work with Kenny and the team at Allen Carpet & Beyond for future projects.

2019-10-28I recently purchased a house, I was interested in remodeling my home by changing the entire flooring, kitchen and bathrooms. I was referred to Allen carpet in New Rochelle By a friend, they came in and provided a free estimate, we signed a contract and within 2 weeks everything was done. They provided excellent customer service, I would recommend them for any of your carpet or flooring needs.
