I chose this location based on Zocdoc reviews. I was thrilled that they accepted my insurance which was Affinity by molina. The receptionist and the dental assistant who took my X-Rays were super nice. The reason for my visit was because I had a concern about a tooth that kept on bleeding and I was due for a cleaning. Two main reasons why I didnt like the dentist who attended me was his lack of care and mannerism. I am going to assume its a student and because of my insurance I had to be seen by him. When I voiced my concern to the dentist about my bleeding tooth he didnt bother on checking to see where I was pointing. His response was that I could be brushing too hard. It wasnt reassuring. He could have taken a look to where I was pointing. The other thing that bothered me was when the dental assistant and him were talking and for some reason he thought I said something to him and he responded with a rude What twice and the dental assistant had to tell him that I didnt say anything, it was her who spoke.Aside from that, I did get a cavity from the dentist and a few days later it started to hurt. I didnt worry too much about it until the discomfort started to last more than a week. All I know was that I did not want to go back to this location because I might be seen by the same dentist. I also checked a bit deeper into the reviews on Zocdoc about other people having an issue with their cavities. Just the experience alone was enough for me to take a risk elsewhere. So I went to Nunez Dental Services, P.C. Sadly, they didnt take Affinity but the experience was better than the one I received at Alliance Center. I did have to pay out of pocket which I had no problem because they actually listened to my concerns and reassured me about my issues.Perhaps my experience could have been different if I would have been seen by Dr. Veniamin.
I’m always anxious about going to the dentist. By this was truly a different experience. The staff were nice and professional and the young lady who cleaned my teeth was very pleasant, listened to my concerns and made me feel very comfortable. The dentist explained everything to me regarding my dental procedures and answered all of my questions.Thank you for a pleasant experience.
This place has been great! Office staff are nice and answer every question they can. I need a lot of work done but the dentist has been so kind, explaining everything thoroughly and doing it with minimal pain. One thing I love is that throughout the procedure they periodically ask if anything hurts and if you’re okay. For someone who has dental anxiety this is great! The dental assistants are friendly and made me feel so much less anxious. I would definitely recommend!
I’ve been coming here for a few years now, probably should come more often than I actually do! Evelyn at the front desk is always very kind. Mark has always been very helpful when it comes to insurance questions. I really like the technology they have incorporated and really wish other practices would do the same to avoid filling out paperwork when it can be done on a smart device. It shows they care about being efficient and ones time. I am a forgetful person so their appointment text/email reminders are helpful for me. The dentists and hygienists are always kind, thorough and explain everything to you. I really appreciate the dentists always showing you on their screen what’s going on in your mouth. Definitely one of my favorite dentist practices I’ve been to. The practice is also very clean and always has been.
The best dental place I’ve been to. The assistants are very professional and they make you feel at comfortable and safe, I recommend them 100%. My kids go here as well and they will be coming here as long as they possibly can. the doctors are exceptionally excellent and caring thanks Alliance Dental Center for taking care of our smile! 😄
My first time going to this dentist and I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that this is the BEST dental office I have ever been. The staff are so so incredible, from the front desk all the way to the doctor himself. They are wonderful and take care of your needs 100%. I can’t wait for my next visit. 10 stars if I could!!
I would like to thank Mark. Receptionist. Hygienists all the Drs at Alliance Dental for their superb service throughout the years. Especially Dr Levant who was my first Dentist when I first came to the office. He was ans is fabulous. I will miss their exceptional service and camadery. After a while you felt like part of the family. I thank you all and will miss you all. With much appreciation and wish you all the best for the new year. Keep doing what you do best.
Every one was nice and professional. The office is very nice and they took me in right away, no waiting and I really appreciate that. They may me feel confident in my decision to choose them for my dental needs. The young lady who cleaned my teeth was amazing and so thorough the best one I’ve ever had.
I’ve been coming to this office for a few years.I’ve always been treated gently and with outmost respect.Dr Levant and his staff have been very helpful and I am no longer anxious of going to the dentist. Mark, the manager does a great job explaining both insurance benefits and the treatment plan. Evelyn the receptionist is also very helpful. I also really like their appointment reminder and confirmation system, I also really like that you can send them a text message.I would recommend this office without any hesitationThank you
I’ve been going to this dentist office for years and not once have I received bad care. The whole staff is friendly and professional and unlike other medical offices they take your appointment time seriously by abiding by the time. I appreciate the new policy of charging for people that come late as it demonstrates the respect for all patients who take time of their day and work to make it on time to their appointment. I also love that you get reminders of your appointment way in advance both via text and email which gives me way enough time to reschedule if needed. Highly recommend this place.
I felt welcomed! Staff were nice and respectful to my husbands wishes. Staff are friendly and accommodating from speaking to them over the phone to in person treatment. Visit was explained well also future treatments was explained in detail one on one basis in a clear manner! I would recommend them to my family members! I wish they would have atleast maybe one sat a month open but for the service they giving dont mind going on weekdays! Place looked cleaned and well cared for. Smelled clean.
Take the time to read and choose your dentist well. I went to this establishment because I had cavities. The first time I went there they told me that the cavities were small and that they had to wait for they to be big to do something (which does not make any sense, do they have to wait until the cavity is all over my tooth to remove it?) I decided to wait as the dentist said and he scheduled an appointment for me to come back in 6 months. When I went after six months and they checked me again, they told me that they still couldnt cure me because the cavities hadnt grown so much that I had to wait 6 MORE MONTHS. Its already a year and they dont want to remove my cavities, its something unacceptable. I am going to change dentist because it is 1 year and they have not helped me at all. I do not recommend this place.
Office staff refused to schedule a new patient appointment because I was not comfortable providing them with my credit card information. Per office policy, they will not schedule appointment if they dont have a credit card on file. I can understand trying to secure patients come in once you make an appointment but it is not good business practice to turn new patients away because they cant get a credit card number. This is quite unfortunate!
Extremely good and professional as always.I have been going to this office for about 2 years now. They have helped my teeth in so many ways. I cant thank them enough.Update: Very good dentist. I am close to being a 10-year client with them. For my latest appointment, owner spent 30 minutes on the phone with my insurance just to make sure everything was ok for my appointment.
Alliance Dental Center was the best dental experience we have ever had. Their staff and medical professionals are very nice, patient and make you feel welcomed. We wanted a new dentist closer to home and we were lucky because we found the perfect dental center Alliance and the best dentist, Dr. Levant. If you are in need of a good dentist who does a thorough examination and explains and shows you every detail of your dental X-rays and if any work has to be done Dr. Levant is the dentist to see. My hygienist Diana was excellent. I never felt any discomfort while having my teeth cleaned and I have sensitive teeth to cold air. Their receptionist Evelyn is so sweet and greets you with a smile😀. The center is very neat and clean as well as the atmosphere being calm and friendly. All equipment and machines are clean and sterile. I rate it an A++and highly recommend visiting Alliance Dental for all your dental needs. Also, this dental center is kid friendly. The Cruz family🙂🙂🙂
I have been with this dentist for years now and always came to my appointments on time usually they are the ones that are late to see me, having me wait well after my appointment time. I miss one appointment and the secretary threatens me with a $75 fine. Do I get to fine you guys when you are late? Shameful. In regards to the dentists, they are good but the office is very old and the equipment looks older than some of the employees there. I dont have any major problems with my teeth this was just a checkup and basic cleaning which I have been bombarded with reminders through texts and emails from the office about. To reschedule the appointment I was told a month from now for an appointment they were begging me to make and made it in a week the first time around.Update: The office left a very lengthy response to my review but here is what they didnt acknowledge,1) The fact that they are late on multiple occasions when I came early to past appointments but when I miss one appointment, I am held accountable...where is your accountability? I am a very patient person and the only reason I stayed with you guys is because I believed you were convenient and were able to schedule my appointment in the past in the same week even. I only ASKED if I can come in tomorrow, Obviously I knew that was not possible but it doesnt hurt to ask instead you were planning on giving me an appointment a month from now which frankly I do not believe you guys are worth the wait and headache. I recently moved and was planning on traveling to you guys.2)The pictures you have on your website are not an accurate portrayal of the office in its current state, maybe that was how it looked 4 YEARS AGO but not anymore also your equipment is very outdated compared to other dental offices. It also does not help that your office looks like a bodega on the outside and not even a fancy one that can ask for $75 fees.3)As to the reminders, clearly I was being hyperbolic by using the term beg to emphasize your MULTIPLE requests to schedule an appointment by SMS AND by email as you said in your response so it is not one time like you say if you are sending one on every communication tool4)Like I said earlier, I did not expect to be seen tomorrow, I merely asked but I expected to be seen within a week or two not a month. And to the folks that schedule appointments 6 MONTHS in advanced or on a wait list...there are plenty of dentists out thereI would like to have had a great experience with this office and continued to be a patient but these policies are absolutely insulting to long time patients. Like I said I believe the dentists are good, I have not had any issues with them but the office policies and responses like yours is not how you conduct yourself as a dental office and not how you treat patients. I will be reducing my stars to one based on your response to my review. I hope you guys learn from this experience and improve, wish you well.
I hate going to the dentist because they always hurt my gums while they do the cleaning BUT here they were very careful and very patient. The secretary in the front was very nice to me as well and did my paper work super fast. They did well! I was happy I didnt come out bleeding nor in pain! The only thing that was frustrating was that the dentist took a while to see me. He was with another patient getting them to keep their mouth open. The wait for him to see me was longer than what he took to look at my scans and tell me I was good to go. Overall I would be going back in 6 months. Thank You.
I had bad experience in the past with dentists so it took me a long time to gain confidence and a toothache pain that wouldn’t go away to come back and I’m glad to say I’ve had a excellent experience,no pain,no scheduling problems, etc. the best part is I got to fix a chipped tooth That made me not want to smile 2 root canals later and it’s fixed, finally felt great to smile again.one last thing that puts them above most other dentists I had in the past is they gave me composite filling without me asking instead of giving me the ugly gun metal ones ( I would still recommend to ask). Overall amazing.
So, three years ago I went to Alliance Dental, after many years of avoiding the dentist. I needed a fair amount of work done, which was completed in four visits, and I vowed to keep up with the maintenance visits, and then I didnt. I have really, really disliked going to the dentist, probably because as a child we went to a dentist who never used anesthesia and just drilled. It was not a pleasant experience and I believe has caused my dental anxiety for the past 50 years. My first experience at Alliance 3 years ago was a good one. I had all the work done that I needed and the staff and dentists were very concerned about my comfort and making sure I felt as little discomfort as possible. It really never occurred to me that it was actually 3 years since I had been there. My husband has even recently become a patient.A couple of weeks ago I lost part of a molar that had a large filling in it and I knew I needed to make an appointment at Alliance. Mark, the office manager fit me in as soon as possible and a week after that visit, I was back, having to have a root canal. These things are never pleasant; however, the dentist who did my root canal was very patient and frequently checked in with me during the procedure to make sure I was feeling no pain. I survived the root canal and gum scaling and have already made a follow up appointment.Yes, it really is as painless as dentistry can possibly be, and Mark will also work with you to maximize your dental insurance. My husband and I are both pleased and we will both be going back regularly......and one more note, neither of us have waited for any length of time to be seen.
I highly recommend this dental office especially doc Levant. He is not just a professional but an amazing person. Cannot mention Mark who is always nice and helpful! My only issue is I wish the lady who did cleaning for me last time was more attentive and care. I felt like she was in a rush and I had really fast cleaning with her. So it left me a bit unsatisfied .
Evelyn the receptionist is very nice and always so helpful and so patient. She always answers any questions with ease and always greets with a smile. My experiences here have always been pleasant, I am always seen on time or 2-3 minutes before. The manager Mark is also extremely helpful and breaks down every single thing in the easiest way possible for you to understand and will work with you and your concerns. I had a root canal done today by Dr. Abayev and he was amazing. He is very thorough and does his job with such ease, you can tell he is very experienced. Throughout the procedure he would ask me if I was okay. I had a different idea on how the root canal would be and I’ve heard many horror stories of others experiences, I was nervous at first but also felt at ease under the hands of Dr. Abayev. It was not a painful procedure, just a little bit of pressure but no pain. I am very happy with my outcome and the service of Alliance Dental Center, and I will be back for my follow ups!
I had an appointment on 6/18/20,It was amazing the precaution The manager Mark took in this hard time of the pandemic, before entering he took my temperature and pressure. ..Everyone is very professional and nice..Starting from the receptionist Evelyn she tries to accommodate your appointment,Mark the manager is a very nice person he takes the time to explain any concerns that I had in my Insurance and my Procedures that I needed..he was always there to communicate with me with any questions I had in this hard times of the pandemic..My Doctor Abayev,is amazing he is super gentle and pain free to what he does..He takes the time to explain any procedures before he starts working..All the assistance Staff are great for cleaning,,,Xrays ,,etc...I would recommend this place with my eyes close,Thank you guys for taking my fear of trusting you....
Great experience at the Alliance Dental Center. Dr. Levant really helped me with the complicated dental problem, taking gentle and thoughtful care of my teeth. His kind and professional staff also took great care of me. The office environment is clean and nice, the office is conveniently located at a major street and there was little on no wait when I came for scheduled appointments. Thank you, Dr. Levant and the staff of Alliance Dental Center!
I tend to hate everything about visiting the dentist but this experience was amazing! Text message reminders, 5 minute wait (about the time to fill out papers), friendly hygienist and the dentist really took the time to answer my questions. Overall my visit was pain free and pleasant. I would highly recommend.
The place was small but very clean. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and patient. The dentist and the assistant were so friendly and when it came down to business; they were quick and kept pain to a minimal. I will strongly recommend family and friends here.
I didnt need to wait long. Treated right away. Cordially treated. Doctor very efficient. Referred me to a very nice and knowledgeable oral surgern near by who solved my problem quickly and efficiently. I really like Alliance and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a dentist. Thank you!
My filling fell off a few days after, not very honest dont leave your credit card as an alternate form of payment they will not honor your request not to use it. Be careful what your insurance covers, whatever the insurance dont cover, they will charge it on that credit card even though they are not supposed to because the agreement with insurance they agree to that amount and they are not supposed to charge you the insured more than what is agreed, but I guess thats why they take your credit card to pull this off. Then they dont even explain it on their statement. They lost three clients on my end. All this happened with an employee named Mark, this guy Mark excused the office for charging me late because of covid, and had the nerve to say they didnt care of I couldnt pay because of pandemic that it was not their problem. smh The fact that i am not the only one with issues has alot to say about this office. I wonder if the doctor knows about these issues.
I just started going to Alliance Dental. Since I was young, Ive had several experiences with different dentists that have traumatized me and have left me terrified of going to a dentist and when I do go, I have MAJOR anxiety attacks. I HATE feeling ANY sensations except weight and pressure. I had a cleaning and some work done last week and another procedure done today. Last week was ok aside from feeling some discomfort. Today was great. I told the dr about my fear and anxiety and he made sure I was ok the entire time. Initially, my heart was racing a mile a second, but the care and concern from the staff made me rein in my fear and anxiety. Very glad I got this referral from my boyfriends mom and I will definately be sticking with Alliance Dental as long as I live in the area.
Great Prices (I am a Cash patient) ... Receptionist very helpful, Thorough and Kind. Doctor was reasonable. Assistant was gentle I just did a cleaning and got a consultation. I only recommend this place if you dont have insurance and just need a quick cleaning because the price was fair, and the service was fair.
I went in because a filling fell out. They said I needed a root canal and a crown. I was skeptical about it since it didn’t hurt, so I got a second opinion. I ended up getting my tooth filled somewhere else. Went from almost paying $600+ at Alliance Dental Center (W/ insurance) to paying $36 somewhere else. Wasted $50 just to get looked at and charged me a $25 “covid fee” that I was told was “mandatory” by the city. I am in contact with lawyers and dental professionals. They have looked at the xrays and recommended I don’t go back. Also in the process of taking legal action against my previous dentist for work they “claimed I needed.” There are also proper ways to make money. If you hungry to make money your in the wrong profession. This post will continue to get updates to bring awareness to corruption.
This has been my go to dentist office for at least six to eight years now. Generally it’s always fine, not much of a wait time and the staff is friendly. Sometimes when it’s a busy day I will have to wait over an hour to be seen, meaning an hour past my appointment time but more recently that hasn’t been a problem.
You know when youve found that place where you are amazed something so good is possible, that you dont need searching (and dreading) no more? This dental office is it.I didnt know it was possible until I came to Alliance, that I could actually like my dentists and leave every visit feeling great. Serious.A walk-through of my most recent routine check up and cleaning goes like this:- I receive an email and txt reminder about scheduling a routine check up/cleaning thats due in a month (love that these guys are up to date using tech to contact/manage/schedule ... all messages have links you can click to schedule an appt, or you could call them, which is what I do)-The front desk receptionist actually knows me, by my voice. I dont even have to mention my name during the scheduling. This totally blows away Siri and Alexa, since my receptionist is not a bot.-I show up at the office, the vibe is I see people who are happy. Not misery. Not disgruntled or couldnt-care-less people (staff) herding in people (patients). Ive beat the system on just this. And Im feeling good already as opposed to mild depression.-I say hi to the receptionist. She checks me in before leaving (her lunch break), but then who do I see? The owner, Mark. We see each other and say hi.-I get called in and this is where I find: the assistants they get (Ive been with this office as patient for well over 5 years--they are that good!) always authentically care, do good work (know what they are doing), and because of that I always feel at ease and can trust.-Also inside the dentist room is where I always see new (updated) gears and equipment every few visits. Another vote of confidence. This time I notice the x-ray thingy she places in my mouth are different from ones I had in my prior visit. Most other dental places dont upgrade and you get this feeling of being inside an old and poorly funded city hospital room.-After a less pain than expected cleaning (kudos to the assistant who knows whats she doing, and mea culpa for my less than stellar oral upkeep), I cant quite say but I felt some steps and some materials used in the cleaning are new or updated too. Another vote of confidence.-I take a booklet I had put away between my legs (Im that comfortable about this place by now, 5+ years of seeing them and trusting them) and just relax and read. I wait for my dentist to come and review any findings of the x-ray.-My dentist comes in not after long. We chat and talk about Valentines. I had scheduled my routine check up on V-day. Why not? Im single this time and going to the dentist is not a punishment with this office. I dont need to give myself punishment this time around on Valentines.-He takes a look of my mouth, asks me about any dental issues I have. I say no. He tells me Im good Im ok. I feeeeel Great! I thank my doctor and say bye.-I do a quick restroom, wash up, see and feel my cleaned teeth. I say bye to the receptionist on my way out, feeling great after the visit. I feel happy and think about my kissability.Ive moved out of this neighborhood (I was a resident of Jackson Heights) but I still come back here just to see my dentist. You can see why I do and why I love these guys!
Why is Mark the office manager, arrogantly and defensively responding to all of the comments not to his liking? He is giving detailed, personal information on the patients he is responding to which is posted publicly. If you value patients rights and HIPPA laws steer clear of this place. Undeniably terrible staff.
Very good service, in about 5 minutes they were already doing the plates for me, the girl who mediates the plate services and cleans is very nice and attentive 😘🥰. The prettiest and most professional is Evelin, the secretary is a sweetheart, she treats me like family... I recommend Alliance Dental 100%

2022-01-22Had a very good experience from start to finish. I arrived on time for my appointment and was seen very quickly. The doctor was very informative and very humorous as well which made me less nervous to be there. The staff was very generous and great, if it wasn’t for the doctors assistant to guide me and settle me down during the entire process I probably would’ve walked out. She made my visit and procedure very easy to go through considering I was a nervous wreck being in a dentist chair. All in all definitely a great place and a great staff.

2022-05-11The best dental you could possibly get. Been a patient over here for 10+ years or so. I’ve received the works; root canals, fillings, and small but necessary procedures and treatments and could not be more satisfied. The receptionist is always patient and pleasant the wait time always reasonable, the dental assistants very gentle and efficient, and of course the dentist, absolutely phenomenal man. He has a strict phone policy and with good reason as he takes his consultations and exams very seriously. He is very thorough and very specific, comforting yet firm. I could not ask for better and I always recommend this office for the services provided 💐

2022-02-01I rushed to get there 10-15 minutes earlier as requested, but the wait was just so painfully long. Other than the long wait, Im satisfied with the service I got there. The hygienist was gentle, and left me with no cuts or bleeding gums. To me, the hygienist is the main deal maker/breaker when I choose a good dentist. Of course, the main doctor is too! I recommend this dental center.

2019-04-22I had an emergency for my toothache and I found only Alliance Dental Center to see me. Ms. Evelyn who helped me to get an appointment. She is very nice person and I appreciate that. From the staffs to the Doctor, I can say theyre the Best! I wish if I knew them before. The place is clean and easy to find. Id like to recommend this place.

2022-01-03The service to scheduling an appointment to leaving the office was awesome , everyone is friendly and everything is clean and I had no questions, everything was clear I knew what they were doing every step of the way. The only downside is if you miss an appointment you have to pay $75 which is oddly more than a parking ticket, but I think we should just loose the chance to see the doctor not pay $75 especially when I’m just coming for a cleaning.

2022-01-11You should be careful trusting this dental office. On my 6 month follow up checkup they took another full set of x-rays including bitewings, which are only covered for me once a year. I have been to many dental offices in the past where they would tell you before treatment as a courtesy, Alliance dental failed to do so. Upon looking at multiple sources I found you need bitewing x-rays once every 1-3 years if you are in good oral health, which I am and I have not had a cavity in over 10 years, this makes me lose all trust in this business and in my opinion its no different from a auto shop or appliance repair scam. I am giving this place two stars because you will get a decent cleaning but not a good one where you can feel the definition in your teeth with your tongue afterwards. I recommend Dr. Veniamin Levant since he actually can interact and say something compared to Dr. Igor Abayev who just poked around my teeth with a pick, said what amounted to nothing and proceeded to look at my x-rays after the exam.
