I have been taking my car to Allison Auto for all my automotive needs for years now and am extremely pleased with their diagnostic abilities, hands-on know-how, and conscientious customer service. Alex, the owner, is thorough, honest and straightforward. He has a talented team and they deliver as promised. I recommend them highly for all-around business excellence. All car repair businesses should emulate them.
Everyone needs a can be trusted car mechanic shop to take care of your car! I had gone to a car mechanic shop for 20 years until the owner sold his shop last year. The new ownership did not take care of my car well and no honest. So I decided to find another car mechanic shop that I can trust. Finally, I find This shop. The owner Alex is a professional, skillful and honest person. He only tells you to fix the problems that necessary to be fixed and takes care of my car well. In addition, they also have plastic sheet to put on your car seat to keep your car clean ! I am looking forward to staying with this shop for a long time!
They kept me well informed during the whole process of fixing my car! Did it all in a very timely manner and were very professional and knowledgeable!
I took my car to two mechanics before Allison. Neither one could help me. My cousin recommended Alex at Allison. Alex was able to diagnose my transmission problem although the engine light wasnt on with codes. He test drove it with the computer diagnostics running and was able to identify the problem. He had it fixed quickly and found my brake problem, which I felt wasnt as important. He was able to fix that and give the car an oil change. I have an older model van, so finding parts wasnt so easy. My car was still ready the next day. I am handicapped and everyone was very accommodating to my needs. Thanks so much to everyone at Allison Auto center.
I have been going to Allison Auto for 3 years now and even though I moved 40 mins away I still go to them! One of the guys at a popular chain discount tire store asked me who my mechanic was because he did a good job fixing the bushing under my car. They are super qualified and nice and I definitely recommend! He does great work without being too expensive. He even fixed the horrible noise the driver door was making from a dent with no extra charge, thank you!
Service was very efficient and courteous. Price and installation of my new battery were fair. They were great at communicating too. When I need my car serviced next, instead of going to the BMW dealer, I will go to Allisons Auto Center.

Friendly, profesional and trustable. We brought our car here for an electric issue and a inspection. They ended up fixing and executing a number of other jobs and tasks that were necessary and made our car much more efficient. Loved the service and the fast response to our needs. This is a nice little motor shop, Alex is very clear about what is up with your vehicle and the price may be a little much at first but they work with you, use the best parts AND there is a 2 year warranty!!

Alex and the Team solved a suspension problem that has been persistent for well over a year. After having 3 other service centers try to resolve it to no avail, Alex diagnosed the problem and resolved the issue the same day. During repairs, Alex called me to discuss challenges with corroded bolts that required additional labor so I was aware of the updated estimate impact and efforts to resolve the issue. I needed new tires, rear brakes, and a rattling was coming from my calipers on my 2011 Subaru Legacy. When Alex and his team got into the job they realized that only one of my calipers was bad, a lot of other shops would have said that all four calipers were bad. Those other less honest shops would have replaced all four calipers which would have cost me hundreds of additional dollars. Thank you for all of your help and honestly.Andrew

2022-02-11I brought my vehicle for State inspection first thing Monday morning and they took it right in, which, for a busy shop to do, I appreciate. I waited in customer area while they did their thing. They came out and thoroughly explained with photos why they did not pass the vehicle. Mind you, its an older vehicle, their recommendations were not really overstated. I did not push back on any of the recommended service, I went home and ordered the parts for myself...going much further, actually, then they had advised. I went with premium instead of value parts... everything I ordered was an upgrade to OEM. When I returned with the parts and tires, they explained their policy is to not take customer ordered parts. I understand. No problem, Im sorry to have wasted your time. Thank you.I took my business to another mechanic that did take my parts. $630 labor went to the team that performed the work.I dont fault Allison Auto for their policy; I understand why that policy is in place, and it is clearly posted for customers to see, and I didnt think to ask before ordering the parts for myself. No hard feelings.But if you like to know exactly what is being installed in your vehicle, and you like to order your parts from Rock Auto or Tire Rack or Autozone, this might not be the Shop for you.

2022-05-06Great guys working here. They know what they are doing and you can clearly tell they are passionate about what they do. I brought my car in last minute after encountering a tire issue and they got me in right away. In another instance, I came in for a headlight replacement and they went above and beyond from there. They also changed my oil and added more air to my tires. Totally recommend these guys if you are in the ossining area.

2022-07-06Vehicle failed inspection due to check engine light but also needed confirmation/options regarding repair/replacement of compromised engine cradle. Check engine diagnosed and provided with issue needing to be addressed in addition to confirmation regarding engine cradle. Currently waiting on parts to arrive. Happy to see that they are very much equipped and experienced with every aspect of vehicle repairs.

He had my car on the lift showed me the damage piece on the exhaust and explained what the repairs would be including the price which came out to be very decent. 2021-11-16I had a slow leak in my tire so stopped by on my way home to have them look at it. I waited 45 minutes, they never told me how much it would be and proceeded to fix the tire. When I realized too much time had passed I looked into the garage to observe them chatting and my car was not being worked on. Only then did they say it was done. They charged me $60 (charged me for half hour of labor) and told me that my battery was no good and they had to charge it bc it wouldn’t turn the car on and had exhaust all over it. The battery is a year old and has never given me any problems. I paid and told them they need to let a Customer know how much they will be paying before doing the work. I turned the car on without any problems and left. The next day and the next day the battery worked fine. Never going back there again. I hate mechanics that think they can take advantage of women customers. I can pay don’t don’t be fooled -No tengo cara de pendeja.

2020-10-27This was my first time to use Allison Auto Center. Alex was very helpful from the minute I called to get estimates on several big jobs that I needed done on my car. His estimates were detailed with all parts prices and labor and his prices were good compared to other auto shops and dealers prices. When I took my car for a quick oxygen sensor replacement, he gave me great recommendations on issues he and his mechanic observed in my car. I highly recommend Allison Auto Center and will definitely recommend them to friends and family.
