Almond in other cities:
Just left Almond… honestly over priced & not great quality of food. Did the NY strip w/ truffle butter & it was 90% fat. I’ve gone to the EH Grill, ordered the same cut (came w/ sides, while almond was just French fries) & was well worth it for the same price. In replacement I ordered their truffle, prosciutto Mac & cheese w/o their green mixture on top. Came out w/ the mixture on top, then 40 minutes later it came w/ no prosciutto as well ($39). Drinks also weren’t up to par for their price (espresso martini & manhattan). Oh & it wasn’t even that busy. Will not be returning
My friend and I celebrated our birthdays here and honestly the host made our night.. not only did he wish us a happy birthday when we entered but he kept a watch on our table and was extremely generous. I dont often choose seafood but I got the scallops and would have eaten another serving, fresh and perfectly cooked. The date dessert was heaven. Our waiter was new on the job so my only complaint was partially our fault, we had ordered the mac and cheese to share and didnt specify we had wanted the entree, the waiter did not ask which dish and we recieved the side.
Although Almond has been here for a minute, this was the first time I’ve ever dined in. And what a wonderful experience it was! We called ahead to confirm that we could eat outdoors despite the poor weather - we were told that we could sit under heat lamps but they recommended that we bring blankets for the chairs so our bottoms wouldn’t be cold - helpful advice! As soon as we arrived we were set up under warm, warm heat lamps and the owner Eric took wonderful care of us. Our server Rachel was able to answer all our questions and help out with dietary restrictions. The drinks were so well made (ask for The Aviation) and the service was impeccable but the food speaks for itself. We recommend the bison Friday special, the duck breast and the scallops — honestly none of them to be missed! We spent over 3 hours outside on the patio under the heat lamps and were so incredibly comfortable and well fed while the manager Lara came over to ensure we always had what we needed. 10/10 for service, food, drinks, ambiance. Possibly the single best dinning experience I’ve had since before lockdown began. Thank you! We will definitely return.
Summary: will never go again. Meh experience, plus food poisoning.Details:While the waiter was pleasant when we interacted with him, the service in general was terrible. Our table (and others around us) were not getting enough attention from the wait-staff. Even when the restaurant cleared out by 40% or so, the service remained bad.My wife got the macncheese and a focaccia-based dish and neither tasted good. We both love food and hate wasting it, but she barely ate a third of her meal. I had an $80 combo of mussles, clams, oysters, octopus, and white fish with a side of fries. Everything but the octopus tasted decent and fresh. However, the octopus was served in this mason jar with potatoes and a mayo-like dressing. It tasted off. I only ate about 20% of it. Then we went home.Thats when the food poisoning started.Mild headache before bed, then woke at around 1am soaked in sweat.Next day, had a fever of 101F and body aches. My wife wasnt sick at all.The only highlights of the evening were the fries (which were served hot and tasted good) and the drink I had: The Old School. But honestly? Save your money and make the drink at home :)Vibe: its the Hamptons, so lots of wealthy folks. Half of them were in their 20s or 30s. Felt like a Labor-day weekend crowd of mostly people from NYC chilling at their weekend home.If you want _excellent_ food in the Hamptons, try Bistro Ete instead. Service was good, clean bathrooms, and I think its run by the chef and his wife.
Really nice local resteraunt. We got a prix fix, mussels were fresh and delicious. Hangar steak was cooked perfectly. And very unique dessert options. Home made vegan peanut butter cups, lemon poppy cake with a rhubarb compote. Nice bar with great service and specialty drinks. Staff was very attentive, and courteous. Look forward to going again.
Requiring vaccination cards for entry is flat out wrong. What’s next, proof of your political alliance? I served my country in Afghanistan seven times and was denied entry based on a medical disorder due to a trial vaccine that I was forced to take in the military. Ironic, nope, politics.
Excellent Food, Service, Ambiance! Last evenings dinner was special, I was entertaining guests for business and pleasure and the entire team at Almond made the evening a success. Servers who were personable and knowledgable and never missed a beat, serving a seven top multiple courses and wines. Almonds Chef Jeremy was at our table multiple times talking food and making sure everything was perfect, and it was PERFECT. We sampled most everything on the menu All Excellent Simply said they care... and it is evident in everything they do! Please do give them a try, you will be glad you did.
Love you can order custom plates. If they have it...... Salmon Fajitas! Lobster tacos......steak strips in Rissotto!!!! Keep in mind this place can get very busy and sometimes you might make a reservation or check if it helps. High level servers. Be patient parking.....drop your friends or family off first. Alternative favored and friendly certain nights. Worth trying specials always!
Wow! Theze guys are amazing! They welcomed me in at the door...and really made me feel welcome. There wasnt a seat or a table right away...but they urged me to stay and relax. The food was off the charts awesome!! They use as much local ingredients they possible can. And what a fantastic job they do with it. Outstanding!!!
Visited Almond this weekend and everything was amazing! We ordered the soft shell crab, scallops, and mussels for dinner, plus the toffee date cake and crostata for desert. The food was amazing, the background music was great, and the manager Nick helped to give us a great experience. Would definitely recommend and plan to visit in the future.
Ts been 5 years since Ive been to Almond. It was mediocre back then. Decided to give it another try. It was not good and I likely wont be back in for another 5 years. The staff was friendly, so nothing wrong there. I liked the decor. The menu is eclectic and overly descriptive, as if the owner is trying to dress up sad food with lots of hardy details. My taste buds were not fooled. Food falls flat. The burger was nothing special, no seasoning, the bun was oversized and burnt, and a small amount of meat for the price they charged. The presentation of the short ribs with kimchi was a mess, the sauce was too sweet, the sticky rice was undercooked. The entree looked like slop on a plate. Does not seem like the food is prepared with care or enthusiasm like the descriptions so desperately try to make the diners believe.
Almond is rightly situated on a prime corner in Bridgehampton. It is a place that deserves you to take notice! While seated at the bar, the staff will treat you to roasted almonds whose seasonings melt in your mouth. A beautiful bar highlighted by candles that peek at you among an excellent bar selection is just the beginning. The atmosphere is cozy, and the menu is fresh and delightful. The food is presently artistically, and if you manage to eat slowly, you will appreciate the diligence and the talent of the chef to please your palate. Sweet or savory, farm to table, Almond is refreshing as is romantic. It may be busy so come prepared to relax and enjoy your time there as it is a favorite spot for dining.
I always always always love Almond, especially during winter and especially during the Christmas season. Went for dinner last Friday and I have to say, it was my least favorite meal of the year. And we eat out alot. I will call the restaurant to share our feelings on this one. Fluke smelled quite fishy, coming across the room. Chewy and bland. Bay scallops were $38 and just flat, salty and sad. A great setting + atmosphere but food nowhere near on point. Yikes!
By far some of the freshest, most inspired food on the South Fork. You can just be yourself here, or get dressed up for a fancy dinner. You can always eat at the bar (when there is room) and talk to the very knowledgeable bartenders. Incredible original cocktails, great wine and beer on tap or by bottle. Chef Jason Weiner sources everything possible from local farmers and fishermen, and it really shows, both on the menu and the plate. The cuisine marries classic french technique and decadence with serious new-world style and local flavor. Best mac and cheese in town. A selection of gourmet cheese fries, made with local potatoes when in season. Excellent raw bar. Meatless dishes are expertly realized and easily rival the duck, short rib, and fish dishes that commonly occur on the ever-changing menu. For foodies, this is arguably the number-one spot in the Hamptons; it is for me.
My girlfriend and I try to dine here at least once a month… One of our top five restraints for sure. Always on point and the staff make it all happen. Good service, great food. Make sure to get an app, entrée, and desert for the full experience. Once you have been to the one in bridge Hampton, visit the location in Tribeca NYC. Glad to have found this restaurant many years ago. Looking forward to going to the third location of ALMOND.
The food is total quality its a little hard to get a reservation in the summer but Im sure with a reservation made in advance and I do mean advance, like a week or so youll be glad you did on a personal note Thank you Eric my wife and and the rest of my party ALWAYS enjoy spending New Years Eve with you Happy New Decade!!!
Horrible service. Sat at the bar for like 10 minutes unacknowledged. Bartender was rude about explaining the wines. I ordered a bourbon on the rocks, bartender proceeded to go ahead and make someone elses cocktail. Dude, pour my bourbon in a glass with some ice Ive been sitting here for ten minutes. Absolutely pathetic. We left.
Very disappointing, we went there and they did not accept us as they did not accept walk-ins. We went there on Sunday 13 September 2020 at 6.50 pm as they said that they only could give us a table for two at 8.15 pm even if there were a number of empty tables outside when we went there.

2021-10-27Wow! Beautiful and tasty. Stopped in for a quick bite. I was a little put off by the fact that a carrot salad cost $20 but I went for it anyway and the duck too. I do not regret my decision. Totally worth it. The host was also very warm and kind.I also want to add that I did remove a star simply because I dont agree with having to be vaccinated and present proof of it. I believe thats a personal choice. And I really didnt enjoy eating this meal in my car as much as I would have enjoyed eating it at a table. It was raining out and I had a child with me so eating outside was not happening.

2020-09-09We had a wonderful birthday dinner celebration here.Originally, we had a table booked outside, but because the weather was unpredictable, the restaurant let us know that we would still be able to dine with them, indoors. Upon arrival, it was not raining nor forecasted to rain, the hostess advised us that we cannot sit outside anymore and only inside. We were a little confused at first because the original booking was for outdoor seating, so it didnt make sense that they put us indoors..Our waiter was amazing. He was super helpful and very sweet. We started off mussels, burrata, trout tartar, fried clams and escargot. Everything was absolutely delicious except for the fried clams - they were super rubbery and chewy and impossible to chew down. For entrees, we ordered the lobster spaghetti (MY FAVORITE!!), lamb kebabs (very good), scallops (very good), and striped bass (also very good). Let me tell you, I could eat that spaghetti lobster every day for the rest of my life, thats how good it was! For dessert we had the sticky toffee date cake and this peach cobbler or crisp or something, but both were delicious!Overall, great diner. Thank you!

2022-02-17Almond is a great spot for a nice dinner - the meal is certainly pricey - standard for a nicer dinner out east. The service is very friendly and the food is always delicious (the roast chicken and steamed mussels are two of our favorites). The Sundae Du Jour is always the perfect dessert.

2022-06-03Absolutely fantastic. It can be a simple meal at the bar with a few drinks or two + hours in the restaurant enjoying very delicious meals. Almond in Bridgehampton is one of our favorites. Service is great but the food is phenomenal. Highly recommend.

2021-12-17My wife and I have been coming to Almond for years now. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and made great memories here.I made a reservation online for outdoor dining specifically. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that we are unable to dine outdoors without proof of vaccination. We are all for the safety against Covid, however not allowing loyal customers to dine outdoors defies all logic. The manager was just following protocol, although his delivery to us should have been more professional. My issue is with the ownership. Instead of having your loyal customers dine outdoors to support your restaurant, you would rather deny business and damage customer relationships.

2022-03-19The UpUsland duck was cooked perfectly, and the sticky toffee date cake was superb. I loved the ambiance. I was reminded of Le Diplomate.

2022-02-06Dans Paper (Feb 04, 2022) mentions some menu options for Valentines Day. Listed is foie gras. I wont eat in any place that supports such animal cruelty. There is a reason it is banned in NYC, California, and many countries in the world. Almond should get with the times and ban this item from its menu.

2020-07-19They have done a nice job with sidewalk seating on the busy Bridgehampton Main Street. Server was masked, super polite and knowledgeable about all ingredients. Delicious cocktails with fancy names were their version of an Aperol Spritzer and a Margarita. Fresh local seafood platter, packed with clams, mussels, oysters, much more and housemade Tabasco sauce. Yummy. Loved the fish n chips special wherechips were tempura battered zucchini instead of potatoes. Fresh spaghetti with lobster was outstanding. Not cheap but you dont dine out in The Hamptons to save money. Special night out.

2019-10-19Great vibe, delicious food & on point service. Along with several apps & sides, we also ordered 1 strip steak to share. Without requesting, server brought it out split on two plates.

2021-07-17They accommodated us as walk-ins on a busy night, they just made it work (I would give them 6 stars if I could for that)The food was delicious and creative. The vegetarian options are wonderful and fresh, as was the seafood. We loved the sticky toffee pudding so much that we ordered 2 more to take home.
