Appetizers were good, went for happy hour best to buy them individually instead of the platter for more food, customer service was good they kept coming over to check the coal and the hookah was not harsh at all. Waiter gave us recommendations and was honest in which flavor may be harsh so ask before. Margarita was meh. Would definitely come again for the vibes and hookah was hitting.
Horrible place to go! Service was below standards, I reserved the birthday package for my birthday and had proof of the conversation I had with the promoter that I reserved 2 bottles of cognac and they argued with my and wanted to give me the cognac that wasn’t promised to me and also the hookah charcoals were supposed to be free refill. They charged me $25 per refill. Don’t go to this fraudulent lounge!
Was a great atmosphere but the thing that irritated me most was $40 for a small Mya Hookah compared to the tall Khalil Hookah. They said “after 8pm we can not give because of club setting”. The lounge was empty, we don’t drink, and over priced. I’d rather just smoke at home for that choice of the smaller hookah. Yes it does make a difference. A very big one. Used to loved this place, but after today, goes down as one of the lower end lounges that just want money rather that customer base. Flavor was ehh. I am used to this lounge as being a high end lounge. I used to rave about this place. But after tonight I recant all of my previous statements. I understand that people who drink it can be a risk. But I don’t drink nor was anyone I was sitting with. They also don’t do coal change, they do head change. So be ready to spend for absolutely no reason. They lost all of their value.
They definitely trying to price gouge. I brought a group here for my 30th and they charged a cover fee. Afterwards, when we sat, they said we couldn’t stay unless each table purchased a bottle and hookah! That was not what was mentioned at the door and when it was brought to there attention respectfully, the owner called 4 security guards over and said okay you can leave in 5 minutes if not. There was only 4 groups of people inside aside from us, no line, and they was trying to make money! There’s better places in the area, DO NOT GET CAUGHT OFF GUARD HERE, BE MINDFUL BECAUSE ITS DEFINITELY A TACTIC!
I was excited to celebrate my birthday here last week. I thought it’d be nice to meet up with friends and smoke some hookah but little did i know, they were smoking my wallet. There were 4 of us in the table and we ordered 2 hookah. Hookah wasn’t the problem but the service was, staff started to bugg us within 20mins of sitting down, they told us we had to get out because we weren’t meeting their “minimum order meet” was I supposed to order everything they had available in the store? This is ridiculous, I dont even wanna talk about the bill 🤢. If you want to have family/friends reunion, AVOID THIS PLACE!Montana
Worst place I have been so far. Owners and staff will take turn hitting on you and it’s non-stop. I was from out of town and all the girls wanted to check this place out. We all got there around 11 pm we waited 25 mins to be seated. Hookah came out fast(5 mins), but fast doesn’t mean it was good! Horrible I was calling staff over every 10 mins because I couldn’t smoke it. Later on in the night while two of my friends were in the bathroom, one of the owners thought it would be good idea to move from across the room to sit next to us. He kept staring and tried to spark a convo with me. I told him I had boyfriend, but I’m assuming he was too drunk to care. Save yourself from harassment and pick another place.

The vibe inside is dope, But the customer service wasn’t all that (2/5) ⭐️we were a group of 7 and we order 2 hookah because 3 of us don’t smoke. Two employees came three times and asked us to order more hookah because we were a group of 7, although those who don’t like ordered food and drinks. They kept remaining us until we got annoyed and left. *SO if you don’t smoke hookah don’t go there, even if you just want to have a good time and enjoy their food and beverage.*
I made a reservation via Instagram for a table on a Saturday night. I was told I had to send $100 dollar deposit to secure the table which was fine, it would be credited toward our bill. I had realized after I left & paid that it was not credited towards our bill. I contacted them via Instagram again, was told management had to review the check. I had to follow up twice before I heard back again. This time, they told me the credit was used for the hookahs we had purchased. This was false, we paid for them in full in cash. Then they responded back that it was credited to a man in our party who ordered 3 hookahs. I am the person who in the beginning of the night ordered the hookahs & paid in full every time for every refill afterwards. The man they mentioned had only ordered 1 hookah at the time which still wouldn’t have satisfied a $100 credit. I asked them to review the cameras, because whoever the staff member was, was not telling the truth. Whoever is behind their Instagram page proceeded to argue with me for about an hour, tell me they weren’t reviewing anything because their staff member said they had given us the credit. So basically, it’s my word against theirs & they don’t care what the truth is. Ultimately, they told me “it’s $100 dollars, you can pick it up.” When originally they asked for my Zelle information, so whoever it was was obviously playing on the fact I didn’t care enough to make the trip back over there. It may just be $100 dollars, but Alpha is not a charity I’m donating to after we spent about $1000 dollars that night. Either a staff member took the money for themselves or management just does not care to investigate things further. I would say, when making a reservation be mindful & double check your bill because the establishment isn’t going to cater to you for their mistakes. Overall, I enjoyed my time there, but their management is horrendous & rude. Hopefully anyone who goes doesn’t have an issue they need handled by whoever they are.

Worst service. When they brought the hookah out it was so harsh we told them to fix it it took them about 20 mins to bring it back again. The owner is very disrespectful!!! Will never go back again. They kept on coming with different bills and try to up charge us. Saying how its a different menu on the weekends but have the QR CODE on the table for the menu which people are supposed to follow. Nobody made us aware of that. They even put different items on our bill which we never ordered!! And when you talk to the owner about it he’s not even helpful at all but rude and disrespectful.
Alpha used to be great when they opened up after pandemic following Covid guidelines. However they got overrated now. Ever since they start to bring latin party vibe (which is lit), Start to overcharge for hookah’s ($40) last only 35min , no coal change, only head change for $25. Minimum table requires $150 even if it’s only 2 people bro! So GREEDY! Try to change the hookah head change policy. I bet alpha will get more love from customers.
Watch out for the guy in turban(Owner)! He has been acting rude until we were forced to leave. We weren’t allowed to take pictures until we bought more beverages and hookahs. We were celebrating our friends birthday and he ruined the entire atmosphere numerous times. I gave two starts because of other staffs customers service and overall environment.
Fun place but no vaccination card was asked for in the front door and now a few of my friends caught COVID so if you were there on 12/18 get tested

Best Lounge ever. They got everything from Hookah to food to beer! They got a life DJ with some good music and the employees always take care of each customer. This spot is very big so you dont have to worry about being in a small place or feeling cramped. So come to Alpha and smoke the best hookah in Queens.😀
I went there with a group of my friends. Two of my friends don’t smoke hookah and so the owner started acting very rude and told us if we don’t order more hookah, we gonna have to leave even though we already had 2 hookah and ordered food and drinks. So I highly don’t recommend this place
A go-to spot with an amazing happy hour special. The prices are beyond fair and the staff is very friendly. Just keep in mind the vibe is way different during the weekend and it gets very busy. Though I would still recommend on going.
It is a nice place to hang out with friends and enjoy good music. they have a good assortment of flavors. In my experience is a great place would highly recommend it. Before 9 pm it is a relaxed environment, after 9 pm they have a DJ and loads of people, so it kind of turns into a club-ish environment (it seems like thats what everyone is into these days). They have great service and hookah. I would highly recommend this place when in Astoria.
One of the worst lounges in Astoria . The security guard is disrespectful Nd disgusting. 0 for customer service. Worst then TSA!!! Smh. Food is decent. Definitely not worth the price Avoid at all cost. Other locations got way more better flavors for cheaper price just near by.
I really loved this place. I have stopped going to steinway as a whole. But then I happened to be around the area and thought to bring old days memories alive. Found of Alpha lounge and just loved it. Decor is really good very friendly customer service and for love of God, first time a place made my hot wings the way I wanted it. Now, hookahs.....they where made really well. It lasted for relatively good amount if time and coals were always on time . I am definitely visiting the place again and recommend the spot
They have good service but they do NOT give any coal change- instead they say to get a new headchange $20 - I dont get why they dont do coal change because this isnt a club it is a hookah lounge primarily. They should offer coal changes

Once we got the hookah and paid they comes and tells us we have to leave in 1 hour unless we spend $100. After we spend $100 they still comes and says we have to leave. What was that ?
I feel luxurious every-time i am at Alpha, the crew is super nice, very friendly, superbly prepared hookah flavors, the flavors are strikingly fresh, interesting and exciting throughout the entire hookah session. This place has the best hookah on Steinway and ALPHA has easily one of the top two hookahs in the entire NYC. the entire experience is like whipping the Rolls Royce of hookah, come smoke luxury.. my top two flavors are “white paan” and almond chai.... these hookahs last for a really long time, to my expectation over an hour everytime...The entire place is brand new, with top notch amenities, no expenses spared, it has a brand new state of the art kitchen, fabulous sound system.Omg the food is very well crafted and made to order fresh and delicious everytime... my absolute favorite food to order at this wonderful location is in-fact the FIRE ALARM BURGER, the taste is tangy yet comfortably spicy, medium well, you are in for a treat.... i dont know about the other losers commenting with dumbass reviews... i have come to know the crew and all personnel involved in hosting here are very accommodating.. i am a regular here, enjoy
The owner and the workers here have treated me and my friends very nicely. Their hookah and their wings are top notch. The place is huge and isn’t cramped up. I highly suggest this place.
I ordered a hookah and it kept burning and the flavor was not even strong. Overall loved the place . They have to improve the hookah experience.
Extremely pleased with the setup of the lounge. It’s super clean and covid friendly. The server was okay, she did notify us that the flavor we wanted wasn’t in and recommended to check the menu instead of suggesting one. The one who brought the hookah was nice enough to change my hookah because the lemon mint paan didn’t taste anything like lemon mint. He recommended white paan which I really liked. The blue mist paan was very smooth. However, being a hookah expert I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the packing of the flavor. It also got harsh very fast because they do start it up for you even though it was two coals. I had to keep fixing it. The bill isn’t something i complain about but for two hookahs and two ginger ales it came up to $80+ I’ve had better service and hookah for much cheaper. Overall an okay experience but super clean! I recommend you to try it out if you’re in the area.
20 dollar cover charge but charged 40 on your credit card, seems like a legit place... They try to take your money anyway. Min 200 dollar bottle to get a table. Dont bother.
Horrible service. Had a promotion for hookah and didn’t mention that you would have to purchase a bottle along with it.

The place is way to loud & the food is not good. The service is alright. I would not come here again, it’s not worth the money. We got 2 hookahs ( melon and orange-aid) & it wasn’t good.

2022-02-03I visited this place on Tuesday February 1 2022. The atmosphere was dope! The food and drinks were good! We sat at the bar to eat and drink. I gave the bartender a tip and then when I received my bill. It was a 20% tip already added in the bill!! Beware of that!! This may be a 1 & done for me because of that.You spoke with my sister about the $120 Gratuity that was added to her bottle service bill. I did not realize I was charged a 20% gratuity for eating and drinking while seating at the bar until the day after! I also tipped your bartender in cash because I know they work hard! Just because some restaurants may do it - does not mean it is right! People are more aware how hard things are since COVID- 19 and I believe they tip regardless-and should not be focused to do so!

2022-04-16It was a cool place we went during the week on a thursday and it was kind of dead. The hookah was very strong they had fix it multiple times. The drinks were cool. I had two cranberry and vodkas. I was the only one who ordered food it was good. Definitely want to go on a weekend. The lounge is very spacious, clean

2022-05-02I Would Not Recommend This Place Unfortunately. When me & Amy Party Hot There The Host Tells Us we would Have To Wait To Be Seated When our other guest arrived which made no sense cause the party before us literally did the same thing and she told them when the last person comes to inform her but didn’t give us the same service. Then I ordered the brunch special & it’s A JOKE. I ordered the chopped cheese & it was basically $35 just for that & the “ unlimited drinks “ were limited according to the waitress. Her service was horrible she had an attitude when I asked questions for clarification. The general experience was cool but I would never come back especially being that I traveled from the Bronx for this place so disappointing.

2022-03-14My friends and I came for brunch on 3/13. We bought the brunch package for $35. The drinks were good, didn’t get us tipsy. We had three drinks each for “unlimited mimosas” and our food took over two hours. Yes, the place was busy but it was not as packed as many spots I’ve been too. Two hours is way too long. You guys need to either hire more people or a new chef. Very unacceptable.

2022-03-14This place was a good atmosphere great music and great hookah, the Rasta Pasta was very spicy. I couldn’t finish it because how hot it was, they need to be more detail of how spicy the pasta is. My friend couldn’t eat it either, it was EXTREMELY spicy. Needless to say I wasted a plate of food because the bartender couldn’t take it back.

2022-02-22BEWARE!!!My husband and I attended the Caribbean Brunch on 2/20/2022. The brunch flyer on Instagram said the brunch was from 1-7pm. When we arrived at 3:06pm the doors weren’t open, the music wasn’t set up and the waitress said the food wasn’t ready. The waitress took over 45 minutes to bring a menu and take our order. Forty-five minutes after I ordered the Caribbean jerk wings the waitress comes back and says they don’t have any wings and I have to order something else. No apology or discount was offered for our inconvenience. I order the steak and eggs instead. The steak was burnt and dry and we were served with plastic cutlery. The waitress came over at 5:10pm and said our 2 hour seat reservation was up and said we have to leave the table section of the lounge due to reservations coming in (the lounge was virtually EMPTY). My husband complained and said it took over 1.5 hours to order and receive our food why are we being asked to leave the table area. We never received our hookah refill and needless to say they attempted to charge us for the hookah even though the flyer said free before 4:00pm. Don’t bother attend this brunch spot. Not worth the money or headache. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

2022-05-10Food is prepared by the restaurant next door Awesome Sauce, so just go there for food. Service is poor, employees are consumed with smoking their own hookah and not attentive to customers. 2022-03-27I called before coming in and was told there’s space for 3 people. I got there and then was told by staff that we have to get a bottle in order to sit down. The female I spoke to on the phone NEVER mentioned this!!! I was there to celebrate 2 of my friends birthday and I definitely won’t return or recommend anyone go here. I thought it was a lounge, not a club. They’re clearly money hungry if they require a bottle for a table. Waste of my time due to the fact that out of the 3 of us I’m the only one who really drink and I can not finish a bottle by Myself!

2022-03-28Went here yesterday with my mom . They didnt have any avocado then we had to eat with plastic forks .After the two hour seating limit we had to move to the bar which had no seats and my mother had a cane. I guess you get what you pay for.
