Alpin Haus RV in other cities:
Heather was amazing!! She was so understanding, soooo knowledgeable and always there when I needed her! We are brand new to the camper world and she helped us every step of the way. The whole entire team from CJ at the front desk, to Kyle in finance and John who did our walk through everyone was amazing. All the other stuff were so friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Alpin Haus in Amsterdam for any type of RV!
We purchased a New Imagine 2910BH, With the Excellent Assistance From Heather in Sales, Jeff from Service, Kyle in the Business Office They all went above and beyond to help this purchase go smoothly. We got an Excellent Deal. Jeff in Service Installed MaxAir Vents while we waited.Wouldnt hesitate to Deal with them in the future.
Alpin Haus RV strikes again!! If you do not purchase an RV from them for $14k more than their competitors they will not service your RV even though they are an authorized dealer of the particular brand. Called them after being told to by the manufacturer to do so because the slide on our TT was stuck part way out due to a manufacturing problem. (The TT is a 2022 that has not even been used yet). The manufacturer told us they are an authorized dealer and would be able to repair it. We got on the phone with them and they were more than happy to help. The rep asked us for the vin to look it up in their system and we gave it to them but also mentioned it wasn’t purchased from them. Once we mentioned that, the rep stated oh, we only work with customers here. We might be able to look at it in a month or two. I contacted another mobile service who was prompt and was able to tell me exactly what needs to be done however getting parts will be an issue. We both started calling and again I called Alpin Haus to at least try and get parts and was once again told they are not helping me as I didn’t purchase it there! Meanwhile it is raining and the slide is still part way open…. Curious as to what the manufacturer is going to say when they have to replace the TT because of the water damage from the manufacturer defect because their authorized dealer refused service!Moral of the story, stay away from their RV department! Their ski department is top notch however, I recommend the ski department all day long!
This has been our second camper purchase through Alpin Haus and working with Heather has been phenomenal not only does she truly understand her clientele and their wants and needs but she treats you like family just like everyone at Alpin Haus does from the first initial visit up until your final walk through- Lance was our technician for our final walk through and he truly made the experience unique to our needs and questions and was super knowledgeable, thorough, and helpful I would highly recommend both Heather and Lance for all of your RV needs!
Frendly staff good service if the saratoga store had a fenced in winter storage aria with cctv ,I`d be more inclined to store my camper there. I also recomend if you need parts or service it`s best to go there as oposed to calling because they will not answer the phones. you have to leave a message and they will call you back at the end of the day.
We bought our brand new Tiffin here after trading in our previous 21 year old Bounder. We ordered in February, and it was scheduled to arrive in late May-early June. With the virus, we somewhat expected everything to be shut down completely, but they were very reassuring and great about it, and promised that we would get it before we left for vacation in August. They fulfilled that promise, and they have a great facility filled with great people there. We brought our dogs, and they offered us water and some AC for them while there. All around just a great experience. Highly recommend.
Traveling home to MA our drivers side mirror in our motor home came loose. T/A truck stop recommended we go to Alpin Haus for help. We are so thankful we did! Service writer came to our rescue and fixed it up quickly and we were back on our way! We were Not there even long enough to catch his name! Highly recommend this RV dealer. Thank you so much for your help!
Don T is a great person. He listened and directed us to look at exactly what we wanted. The first Fifth Wheel he showed us is the one we bought! He has been so accommodating throughout the process. We really have enjoyed our experience with Don! The store experience with Seth was great too!
We recently purchased our Reflection Travel trailer at Port Jervis. The experience was terrific! No pressure sales and our salesperson was very knowledgeable. When we picked up the RV, another gentleman walked us through the inside and outside and explained how everything worked. He also shared tips and tricks as well. Finance went great and we were on the road in no time! Thank you for a great experience! I wish we’d gone here last time we purchased an RV! We love our new Reflection!!
Slim pickings for toy haulers and the prices were too high for my liking...thats just good ole fashion supply and demand. Sales staff is friendly and not pushy which is a big plus. Really liked Geoffrey, our sales person, he was down to earth, realistic, super charismatic and knew his stuff. Too bad they didnt have what we wanted...due to no fault of his.
Got a repair here recently. Repair went well. Folks were friendly. They allowed me to boondock on their parking lot since I wouldnt be able to get a RV park at the time my rig was ready.Small annoyance was that this repair happened during the Corona scare. Although it wasnt their fault, this meant that the lobby was closed and I had to wait in my car for 6 hours each day. I wish they could have arranged something different.
In August, we purchased a new Imagine BH 2800 from Alpin Haus in Amsterdam, NY. We had a wonderful experience all around as we upgraded from a smaller Imagine TT! Our salesperson, Steve Quill, was very helpful in making this happen for us despite the shortage of campers out there. As soon as he got one in stock, he reached out to us. The turn-around time was less than a week for trade-in and pick-up and we were on our way for a long-planned camping trip with our grandchildren in our new trailer. Kyle in the business office took care of all our additional questions and final paperwork. In the retail shop, we had a very helpful gentleman assist us with a few extras we needed for the larger camper. Finally, our walk-through and final trailer check on our day of pick-up was provided by an extremely knowledgeable service representative, Jeff Hetrick. Jeff was patient and professional, checking every detail to familiarize us with our larger camper. He also installed a larger sway-bar and gave us important information about its use. Well done, Jeff! Thanks to everyone at Alpin Haus - we are very pleased and grateful!
The Alpin Haus Service staff have worked with us in correcting issues that we discovered since we took possession of our Grand Design Imagine in May. They have been helpful in getting the authorizations needed to address some warranty issues, and they are still working to address operational problems with our furnace. We believe that some issues should have been caught before leaving the Grand Design factory. The Dealer Service staff has disabled our furnace out of an abundance of caution, and due to parts back order, it appears unlikely that our furnace issue will be resolved this season. Thank you Alpin Haus for staying on Grand Design on our behalf.
We recently purchased a used travel trailer from Alpin Haus in Amsterdam. Our sales person was Heather. We were very impressed with her knowledge of product and willingness to help us make our decision. All of the professionals at Alpin Haus were extremely helpful and able to answer our many questions. Everything was taken care of in a professional and timely manner. The entire experience from selection to delivery took about one week. The RV that was advertised on line was actually there. No one tried to upsell or high pressure us into buying more than we needed. If you are in the market for an RV, this is a great place to start your search.
Knew someone who bought an expensive camper from here and gets boat repairs and supplies too so we thought we’d try for first camper. Granted, it’s not $50k but there’s just two of us and NY summers are sketchy. Just be careful when reviewing paperwork. Didn’t know “H2O” written after model number denotes water damage. We found a beautiful camper in great shape only a few years old. After two weeks of paperwork (finance guy is great) and we had liked the sales person, so we persisted only to find a soggy spot on the floor by the bed on inspection. Inspect thoroughly yourself!! I can’t stress enough. They do a great walk thru and info session that takes hours. We also didn’t know we would need a brake controller after paying $600 for the tow package added onto the sale either. We did get a $500 gift card and they are fixing the damage for free. No damage is spelled out on the paperwork so be mindful and watch for any small indicators (like H2O or other lettering) and ask. Salesmen are supposed to disclose but don’t always. They do try to make things right just be cautious when buying used and get extended warranty. Also, brought camper in to winterize last week. Was promised Friday. It is now 3 pm on Monday and it’s still not winterized!!! Also made the mistake of trying to buy a golf cart here and they said they didn’t have it AFTER we signed contract. When I mention my lawyer, it shows up at my camp, delivered free of charge! Shady place and bad business l. I went and paid cash for a larger camper later on that was purchased from here that he had to repair leaks on. DO NOT buy used from here
I had a problem with my water heater in my trailer while camping a few days ago. I called and left a message with Alpin Haus in Amsterdam with my salesman and the service Dept. They both returned my call. The service department explained over the phone what could be the problem. I did what he said and it solved the issue. My salesman also gave me a follow up call to make sure I was taken care of. Very happy with the way my situation was handled. Customer service is excellent.
We rented a Primetime 27DBS, the largest trailer we could get and pulled it from Amsterdam up to 8th Lake in the Adirondacks. All of the staff were great! It had been some 20+ years since Ive towed a travel trailer but in my youth spent many years with experience. We cant say enough good things about the staff, the cleanliness of the trailer, and friendly people. It was really quite painless and the trailer worked great! Were looking forward to renting again next year and it was so good were recommending it to a friend who was interested in our experience. Thank you again to Alpin Haus for working with us and providing a great experience.
We got our brand new trailer at the dealer today waiting for delivery and it’s absolutely perfect!!! Don made it so easy for us and made sure we got everything we wanted!! We went in last fall and told him what we envisioned and he sat and worked with us endlessly and right down to the details on the light fixtures he was super patient and kind and found us what we wanted.Oh my gosh our family could not be happier and look forward to so many decades of summer fun together and fond memories all built around the dreams that Don helped us build with this absolutely amazing Keystone Residence with loft!! Don you were awesome! And Justin thank you so much for taking the time to go over all of the service options and clearly explain all of our options so we can protect our investment with super service and coverage and for that really low cost too?!?This was ridiculously easy, fast, friendly and we will be recommending you both to all of our camping friends at the marina in the future!!Wish we could use you for our upcoming boat purchase too! Thank you soooooo much!!!The Haas family! ❤️
The RV market is very active. We anticipated a pressure oriented (stress related) sales process. Not so at Alpin Haus.Alpin Haus had the one used RV we searched for, over many months. We called, chatted with a sales professional, made an appointment and the required deposit (refundable over a defined timeline) this to hold that RV until we could visit the company location and learn about the vehicle and research our purchase options and process. We have never had a more comfortable, almost day long visit learning not only about the RV and support, but experiencing the professional and personal manner of our representative and all other employees with whom we had contact. The very casual but ethically defined operational philosophy of the Alpin Haus owners is the ultimate in a positive sales and education manner. Not only did our sales representative answer every question posed, but ‘taught’ (educated) us about all aspects of the Hymer and their company. A rather incredibly fun and educational process. Every moment felt personal yet demonstrated the real sense of positive conversation and ethics that defines Alpin Haus. We spent about five hours in this visit and every moment was positive. The relaxed, non-pressured manner extended through the purchase review process.
Our 5th wheel was in for service last week and the department seemed to lose track of the fact that we were waiting for it….embarrassing for them, irritating for us. However, to their credit, they made it right by providing a complimentary service call to our home for a minor fix that the annual warranty inspection revealed was necessary. Very considerate. Personal touch always counts.
Just purchased my first RV from Alpin Haus RV and what a great experience! Heather, the sales rep, was outstanding! She invited questions (we had lots) and she patiently responded to every one of them! It was a very pleasant, no pressure and very informative experience (not like any experience I’ve had in making a major purchase - EVER!). Heather even responded to all of our “insecurities” as first-time buyers. I couldn’t have even hoped for a more supportive, patient and thoroughly enjoyable purchasing experience. Others involved in our sale, including “the boss” and the “finance guy”, were equally friendly and even open to negotiations about the bottom line. We left feeling pleased with our purchase and looking forward to our first adventure with our new RV going on the road!
Alpin Haus was professional, courteous and diligent from the very beginning. Had a HORRIBLE experience dealing with the other guys and Alpin Haus came in to save the day. Absolutely appreciated Dave who was our non-pushy salesperson who also showed flexibility with inventory and price. The experience was amazing. Jim took care of the final paperwork, hard to say we enjoyed this, but we did! We shared many laughs while signing the check. Just an all-around positive experience. Alpin Haus has officially earned and won our respect, business, and trust!! Too bad we didnt start with them from the beginning. The park model we ordered by the way, is amazing. Exactly as described and what we needed. Cant say thank you enough!!!
We bought our travel trailer from Dave at Alpin Haus. He was an amazing salesman was not pushy at all. We were able to complete everything over the phone which made our pick up process 100 times easier. The financing process was a breeze. And the technician spent two hours going over every detail of our trailer with us. We were asking lots of questions and we didn’t feel like we were being rushed at all. I definitely recommend Alpin Haus in Amsterdam for your RV needs.
I would like to give 0 stars but that is not an option. Great through the sales but once you sign the paperwork...terrible. Didnt know the parts needed to hook up to my truck which caused multiple trips to pick up the camped, damaged parts found on the walkthrough that were difficult to get replaced, damaged parts not found on the walkthrough (which were identified as damaged and poorly repaired by another Alpin Haus store) that I am being told are 4-8 weeks out before repair, lack of communication between the stores meaning I sat at an Alpin Haus for 9 hours for a 45 minute fix.Buyer beware. They will sell you a peach but not support what becomes a lemon.
The staff at Alpine Haus are very professional and make you feel like part of their family. Heather Kowalczyk took the time to find the RV that fit our families needs. While doing our walkthrough their service department took the time to add some vents to the roof area. Top notch service from the beginning til the end. I highly recommend for your RV needs!
Great experience. My salesman Dan was great. Treated me like a VIP. Traded in and bought a fifth wheel. Had fifth wheel hitch installed in truck. They went over everything in trailer. Guys in shop were great. They all came together after hours to make sure my hitch was perfect and took me for a test drive before driving it home. Would highly recommend Alpin Haus.
We had made a verbal agreement with Apin Haus service department to bring our 5th wheeler in for repair and warranty work. Because of the weather we agreed to bring it in when the weather allowed. We had already contacted the manufacturer and were issued a Case #.When we arrived at the service department the service personnel started to paper when the service manager said we couldn’t schedule it until September.I explained to him that we had made a appointment when the weather allowed. He said no way come back in September. So if you want a service department to stand buy their word look elsewhere. These people have no desire to honor their commitments.
Although frustrated with our camper and it not working correctly. We had our camper in twice the first time it was replacing the batteries which we did not really think was the issue but okay. The second time was because the 12V system was not working correctly. We had to end up Replacing the Converter again for the second time in less than 1 year. Being frustrated to begin with when we picked it up the batteries were dead😡. We had a very good service tech who came out and took the extra time to make sure everything was working correctly. Took us back to the service bay and plugged in to make sure all was good. He reassured us that we should be all good for future camping trips! Thank You it made all the difference in the end when all was said and done. Campers are expensive and knowing your being taken care of and not taken for the money makes a big difference!!
Everything was great there. Mike did a great job of letting us see all the pieces that would be in our trailer. There wasn’t a rl2500 in stock but he had others that we could look at then make our decision. Great salesman, great guy.Keith was another great guy to work with with the finances and paperwork.Best of all was Kevin who showed us the ins and out of the trailer and how to do everything with it. He was thorough and absolutely knew his stuff. Great guy to work with. I went from pretty much zero knowledge on everything trailer to having a huge understanding of all of the inner workings thanks to him. Really appreciated this guy.
Mike, Dan, Kevin and all the staff at Alpin Haus made us feel like family. They did not pressure us into anything. They did not rush us through any part of our search and purchase of a new RV. Everyone was very knowledgeable of the products and their products are top quality. Even though there has been a surge in RV purchases, they had a great inventory to choose from. I highly recommend Alpin Haus to anyone looking for a new or used RV. You will not be disappointed.
The NO SERVICE department has been the bane of my existence for 4 years. Purchased extended warranties and have done nothing but fight with them to have work completed. They have had my rig for 3 to 5 months every year since purchase. Claim every shipment of parts take 4 weeks min and EVERY shipment arrives damaged at least once. Nothing but a bunch of liars and cheats. Would not purchase bubble gum from these people ever again. Dont expect help from the parasite salespeople...happy to sell then done with you. Stay away from Charles Weitz, Bob Rose lll and everyone in the NOSERVICE department, especially NOLAN and COX.
We had a wonderful experience at Alpin Haus. We had the opportunity to work with Jim, Jim B and Blake and all three were amazing. Very organized, thorough, knowledgeable, patient, kind AND fun. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of for an easy and efficient transaction. I would definitely recommend them and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future. They were awesome!!!
Our experience with Alpin Haus, Heather and Jim was exceptional. We had no intention of buying the day we were there. We were only looking. Heather took the time with us and listened to what we were looking for in a travel trailer. We ended up buying and are very happy and excited to begin our adventures! Thank you very much Heather and Jim for working with us to make this happen!
I have already recommended Alpin Haus to friends and family. I also sent an email to Keystone telling them how good the customer service is. While getting some warranty work done I spoke with a sales rep and he showed me around a few RV’s even though he knew I wasn’t ready to trade up yet. And the service department has been exceptional even though I didn’t purchase the unit there.
A little late with my review, but as they say, better late than never. I purchased a 2021 Coachmen Apex Nano 208. I am very pleased with this unit. Sales and service has provided an outstanding and effortless experience. My salesman Jake Reinhart is very knowledgeable of the products he sells, honest and a pleasure to work with. When the time came for my walk through/orientation with my new camper, Lance Honeybill in the service department knows the product and is a pleasure to work with. When the time came for the parts department, Jerry Bentley was a great help. The service department did an awesome job installing an important accessory. Thank you Alpin Haus for an excellent experience.
I would like to say that the experience at Alpin Haus, from sales to finance and maintenence was A huge plus . First I would like to thank Heather in sales she went way and above to help us pick out our first class A Rv. And in Finance, I would like to thanks James, with All the paper work was A huge plus. Also I would like to thanks maintenence Dept. For all they do, the walk threw was great.I gave them a Five Star Review Once again Thank You To Alpin Haus Of Amsterdam. David &Lori Gebo
Excellent experience purchasing a camper. Jake is a great sales man who is very helpful and was understanding of my needs. The finance people were awesome and Lance who walked me through the camper was amazingly helpful. They even helped me fix a wiring issue I had with my truck. The camper was clean and everything was 100% before I left the building.Really great purchasing experience.Thank you Jake.
Alpin Haus of Port Jervis and all the staff were absolutely amazing. Derrick the Service Manager was very helpful with my issue. I bought a Travel Trailer from the Alpin Haus of Saratoga. My first time taking the camper out, the AC was not working. Since I lived so far from Saratoga both locations worked together to resolve my AC problem. First they sent a technician out to try and repair the unit, however the AC was dead. They replaced my unit completely since the issue was identified only 3 days after purchase. I was working the day they finished the repair and the rest of the week, so they even went as far as dropping off my trailer back to my home. I am very happy with their outstanding customer service and the work they did on my trailer. Thank you Alpin Haus from Port Jervis. A very happy Customer, Luis Pagan
Please be aware before beginning your buying process with Alpin Haus. We were quoted three different monthly payments with a loan term of 10, 12 or 15 years. The sales rep sent us this on paper and “congratulated” us on our new camper as the quote fell within our monthly budget. We filled out the application, which Alpin Haus ran with three different banks (leading to three hard pulls on our credit report) to find out the max the banks they use will do is 60 months for this low of a loan (completely different than the 10, 12 or 15 years we were quoted). We are still waiting on a thousand dollar security deposit back and have not once heard from the sales rep that we worked along side with since being told the quoted payments have doubled . We are now in a spot where we don’t want to run our credit with our personal bank or another dealership as we have three hard inquiries from them, and no camper to go along with it. Thanks to the false hope of Alpin Haus our first camper is now on hold until at least next season.
Excellent experience with the purchase of our travel trailer. Adam and Lance were both super helpful. Never once were we pressured to buy anything we didnt need or didnt want, and staff were extremely knowledgeable. We received very prompt responses to all inquiries- we really couldnt ask for more. Lance did our demo, and was truly amazing. He went through every aspect from front to back of how to work/maintain everything in our trailer, and was very patient with our numerous questions! We will highly recommend Alpin Haus RV to everyone we know!
Bought a new 2015 Sanibel; have taken it there every year for inspection, paid $160+ for “lifetime warranty”.Traveled South & had trouble with slides & auto jacks working. There were good about calling back; suggest new battery $135 later, worked okay. Continued to have trouble and took it in upon returning home.Service dept states slide part needed from company; brakes (all 4 are shot), due to cost $, we got part for slides & installed by them, but only brought brakes from them to do ourselves. We also had a soft tire; They checked & said nail in tire. They did not fix tire; they don’t do tires 😮total bill over $1200, nothing covered under warranty! Why have we paid over $160 a year for nothing!Oh, best part; when replacing the brakes; one was missing parts & never even worked...straight from factory! Wonder why the other 3 were shot ????Follow-up to issues since purchase:Flooring cut by slide in front of refrigerator; did not replace; did a repair & glued down piece. Only to have it “Pop up”… will not stay down. 😏
I WISH I could go to Alpin Haus RV with my 40 ft motorhome purchased in Florida. Unfortunately they refuse to work on anything not purchased from them. I am camping in the area and am forced to drive my RV all the way to Latham or Albany for work. Ridiculous.EDIT: My issue was for CASH work, not warranty or insurance. CASH. CASH ONLY. This was made clear and I was still refused.
After years of dreaming of owning a travel trailer Charles helped our dream come true. He was patient with us and very knowledgeable. The whole team is amazing, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Alpin Haus feels like family. If you are considering buying an RV ask for Charles, he is AMAZING!
I want to thank both Jim Orapello and James Motto for making our first RV purchase a wonderful experience. As first time buyers, they both took the time and provided great detail to my husband and I on all aspects of how the RV operates and what we will need to simply plug and play when we venture out on our first camping trip, They are both subject matter experts and made us both feel like family.Thank you Alpin Haus and especially to Jim and James.
What a great experience we had with our salesman Jim Orapello! Professional and knowledgeable. The first unit he showed us was perfect and he worked with us to make sure it fit into our budget. Picked it up this last weekend and had a great experience learning about the unit with Jeff Hetrich. We went over everything and he was so accommodating. I would recommend Alpin Haus RV to anyone looking for a great RV buying experience.
Outstanding service, from sales to service and then delivery. Charles is a wonderful salesmen and Dan was incredible taking us through the camper. The day spent at Alpin House to take delivery of our Imagine Camper was so great. Everyone at Alpin House made us feel so special. We would recommend Alpin and the Grand Design series campers to anyone. Thanks
We are so happy with our RV service at Alpin Haus, Amsterdam. We bought our Fifth wheel from this location 15 years ago and return each year for service and inspection. Dave Behuniak is the very best! We always feel confident working with him! This season he suggested new tires and roof clean. He’s available to talk to us when we call with a question and takes time to explain our service options. He is a true professional and has become a friend over the years. We never hesitate to recommend Alpin Haus and Dave to our camping friends. Thank you for your continued service.Dave and Becky V.
My wife and I recently purchased a new 2019Imagine Grand Design camper from your show in Saratoga. Jake was very professional with helping us and was patient while we asked, what seemed to be endless questions. We came to the Amsterdam location to check out our camper and complete the paperwork and financing with Justin. He as well was very prompt and professional, along with be patient with answering our many questions. Also, Tracy was very prompt and professional with the handling of all the paperwork for the insurance and registration process. She too was patient with the questions and phone call that were made.Jake once again, was patient as he allowed us a walk through our camper. We noticed some things, as he did as well, that need to be addressed prior to our taking the unit. He assured me that everything would be 100% upon delivery. We are taking advantage of the the free storage for the Winter and look forward to taking delivery in the Spring.
Extremely pleased with our experience working with Jake Reinhart! Jake is very personable, knowledgeable and extremely patient with us as we narrowed our search of exactly what we wanted to fit our needs, even helping us with our pros and cons list. He understood what we were looking for and did not push us to see anything that would not fit our needs or budget. The entire purchasing process was quick and painless. Very happy with our Alpin Haus experience!
We had a great experience at Alpin Haus in Amsterdam. Charles and the entire staff have been great throughout the process of starting our search for a fifth wheel to finally purchasing. We never felt rushed in any part of the process even though at times we were keeping them there past closing time. We are still in touch and any issues have been handle quickly and professionally.
Just bought my first trailer from here and it was a great experience. I highly recommend Don, (you can say I sent you) he was a no pressure sales guy which I appreciate more than anything. My mom bought a trailer from him back in the fall and her experience being so good made it easy for me to follow suit. My sister had gotten 2 trailers from other local capital district dealers and had all sorts of issues. So me and my mom definitely wanted to go through a different dealership so we chose Alpin Haus and thank goodness we did. Don (who my kid referred to as the green guy) even let my 4 year old follow him around the place and kept an eye on him while I was busy doing the finance paperwork so I didnt have to worry about him.
After looking at Travel Trailers in Albany I decided to visit Alpin Haus in Amsterdam to weigh my options. I was late to the game so inventory was limited, luckily they had one unit that was just what I was looking for! Because of the pandemic the financing process took longer than normal but James B. was on top of it! The salesman Dan T. and his manager Jason R. really went above and beyond to get delivery expedited and LJ’s delivery skills were amazing as it was a tight fit! Thank You to the entire staff that assisted along the way. See you all in October!
I made the mistake of buying a travel trailer from Camping World, against the advice of many people telling me not to. I learned the hard way- it was the most dismal experience I have ever had with purchasing anything. Between the manufacturer and Aplin Haus RV, more specifically Dave B. in service, my experience has come around 180 degrees!! I contacted Alpin Haus RV and they quickly scheduled me for an appointment. I cannot say enough about the professional and personalized service I received. They made it easy to get the warranty work that needed to get done on my camper completed and did so in a timely manner. They tackled everything and fixed things Camping World said were fine. Camping world ultimately falsified warranty claims to the manufacturer at my expense. They went above and beyond and I cannot say enough. In the end, lesson learned the hard way, I should have gone with Alpin Haus RV in the first place when purchasing and I will go nowhere else for service.
I couldnt be happier with the service I received from Alpin Haus! They are true professionals, with a real passion for the outdoors and for ensuring complete satisfaction of their customers. Salespersons are knowledgeable and helpful, and create a comfortable shopping experience. When I rented an RV from them for a weekend getaway, they brought the RV to my campsite. When I arrived there, it was completely set up and the driver took his time to make sure I understood how to operate all the equipment. When it was time to leave, they arrived right on time to take everything down and drive it away. There is a fee for this service, but it was worth every last penny! Thank you for making our weekend trip so easy and comfortable!!
We have been searching for a travel trailer that met all our needs and we found it at Alpin Haus in Amsterdam. Our salesman, Dan Taber, was patient with all our questions and respectful of our request to conduct our meetings outside the building in masks. It is a pleasure to do business with such a professional team. They are also focused on keeping us happy by responding to service questions from the road. We highly recommend Alpin Haus for helping you to pursue your adventures. Our new Coachman Apex Nano will serve as our base camp in kayaking adventures in the Adirondacks. Thank you, Alpin Haus.
Have to change my review. I was told when I originally bought it that it was a 2019 . Brand new. I didnt get notified that the 1 I put a deposit on got sold, which I thought was weird but I was excited for my first camper, so I ignored it and kinda liked the one the substituted. Now mind you I only got it 3 years ago well I go to move it for the first time since buying it and Im getting ready to bring it home because Im bringing it to a new camp ground and Im going around it and the rood has been cobbed up with silicone the bumper was smashed in and not from me. Im surprised I never noticed but the way it sat at the last site. But my slide is leaking and just now that I look at it Im disappointed
Our experience at this location was outstanding. We arrived with our baby and two dogs, and they welcomed us in to the lounge to wait while they tried to figure out what was wrong with our RV. They worked for hours on it, all the while all the employees made us feel at home, even going out to pick up a lunch for us. Jack in service went above and beyond to try to get us back on the road safely. Thank you to the guys in the service department who all spent hours trying to figure it out and make sure everything was safe.Excellent experience. Great people. Couldnt have asked for better. Thank you!
We recently purchased a travel trailer at Alpin Haus and it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience. Our outfitter or sales person was Jake Reinhart who did an excellent job explaining the features of the trailer we were interested in. The price was right so we purchased and was guided through the process and ultimately the out of state registration by Justin Foote. His knowledge was welcome. A few days later we returned for the show through prior to picking up the trailer. Our advisor was Ed Cox who took care of many details including finding and printing web technical information of one of the components on the trailer which was appreaciated. Our technician was Jeff Hetrick who did an excellent job checking every detail on the trailer and answering our many questions. We appreciated his expertise. The next day at home we had a minor problem getting the door open on the trailer. A call to Jeff and his effort got the quick resolution we needed. Thank you Jeff.We recommend Alpin Haus and the friendly and knowledgeable staff to anyone looking for a RV.
My fiance and I were struggling to find a travel trailer that fit our needs as he is currently in a wheelchair. We had a very large list of needs and we spent a long time trying to find something that would accommodate, but also fulfill our dreams of camper life. I walked in expecting the same treatment I had gotten everywhere else. Not only was everyone GENIUNELY happy and smiling, but when the time came to show me the trailers there was no hard sale at all. Everyone was so incredibly kind and interested in our story. From the desk to sales to finance and management and finally service. Ive only known them for a little over a week and I already feel so confident that we will be using them for parts, service, and general questions throughout the years. So happy we walked out of other dealerships and found ourselves at the Alpin Haus of Port Jervis. Cannot recommend them enough.
I bought a golf cart on Aug 8th and the lights didnt work or the battery indicator. The 2nd day I owned the golf cart wouldnt start. I had to send multiple calls and texts for someone to finally get back to me. They came and got it to fix it the following week while it sat in my driveway not working. They took it for a week to fix and when they brought it back to me said it was fixed and stopped working again within days doing the same thing it did when i first had it. It wont start. I have been calling and emailing them to come pick it back up to fix it and no one has contacted me as to when it will be fixed or when they are picking it back up. I wanted to have it for this camping season and I havent been able to use what I have paid for.
Very pleased with our experience! We have been Alpin Haus customers for years, from our hot tub and skis to now our New 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2500rl. What a great sales staff from the Salesman Adam to the sales manangers Jason and Tom. The finance manager Ron was very accommodating to our schedule and need to pick up our new camper ASAP. Our delivery walk through was also exceptional we know exactly how everything works. Highly recommend shopping here I know I always will. Thank you Alpin Haus!
Just finished a purchase of avenger trailer. Fits my needs perfectly. Explored many options with their awesome sales staff. Such a pleasant experience. Love working with this awesome family run business my camping experience will now be greatly improved. Thank you Alpin Haus. Shawn from Wilcor Outdoors
Had an extremely negative experience with this dealership and in particular salesperson Heather. Heather showed us 2 RVs over the phone that we were interested in and we arranged to come in and look at them that afternoon after having rescheduled our day at her convenience. We drove 90 minutes to the lot and when we arrived we were kept waiting for nearly an hour only to be passed off to a different salesperson who told us that neither RV was available and in fact they had no RVs of the size we required on the lot and then told us to go to their Saratoga location which was closing within 20 minutes anyway. Heather and the incompetent team at this dealership completely wasted our entire day.
We went to Alpin Haus to get an idea about how much a motor home would cost to own. We had the great pleasure of working with Don Terpening who spent a few hours with us, showing us motor homes and working out financing. He was patient, knowledgeable and not at all overbearing. If you are looking for an RV, I highly recommend going to Alpin Haus and asking for Don. You wont be sorry!
My review relates to their repair shop management. I hate having to leave a bad review but I wish I had read one like this before engaging with this company. Too long to tell it all. But here are some of the important points:--Very unresponsive and impossible to make an appointment with to begin with (wouldnt return calls, etc), as well as slow to keep things moving throughout the process. From start to finish, it was about a 10 week ordeal.--Highest RV labor rate weve seen in 11 years of RVing... $200/hr--Expect to spend big $$$ just to have issues diagnosed, even with a warranty! While other shops will try to roll diagnostic time into a warranty-covered repair, Alpin Haus charges the customer high hundreds to over $1000 to diagnose issues (if you have multiple issues like our coach did).--Dishonest and greedy... They try to inflate the warranty repair as much as possible even though warranty company was fair with our claim. Service dept manager told us the warranty company wouldnt cover our whole claim... that wed have to spend additional $1700 out of pocket, when that was only due to the fact that he chose a very expensive appliance (which wouldnt even have fit our coach without protruding) in order to make extra money off the customer! [They already upcharge in the range of 30% or more on parts] Be prepared to communicate directly with your warranty claims agent to stay informed and keep the process moving, be aware of money applied and parts /appliances chosen or Alpin Haus will take advantage. We ended up selecting the appliance ourselves through Lowes with approval from our warranty company, although A.H. purchased it, adding their upcharge of course.-- Then.. if you get involved and buck the system on being swindled like we did, be prepared to end up with a dented appliance (or a damaged part as the case may be). We were told ahead of time by the service manager that Lowes wouldnt be responsible if the appliance was damaged, which we thought was strange. He called us right AFTER they [Alpin Haus] installed it and told us there was a very noticeable dent in it, very unapologetically I might add. Afterward, when we asked Lowes directly what their policy is, they said they would have replaced the appliance OR the dented part within 30 days. So no excuse and just terrible conduct on the part of this RV repair shop!-- Hours and hours billed for trying to problem-solve fairly simple issue, and billed for time on issues not resolved and had to pay another shop to fix. Tech also took a rubber valve off faucet which caused leaking under sink for a couple months till we realized what was causing it. (No leaking whatsoever prior to this) Alpin Haus had told us we should replace the faucet. Luckily we didnt!--There were other excessive charges we had to contest to be removed and issues we dealt with, but too much detail to get into here.* Also, received no reply whatsoever to my carefully written response to an email inquiry from their general manager, titled How did we disappoint you? regarding our zero rating on their survey of how likely wed be to recommend Alpin Haus to a friend or acquaintance. .
I have been using propane heat for the last 2 nights in my Forest River Forester as Vermont temperatures have been in the 40s. Everything worked well until early this morning when the heat did not come on. After unsuccessfully trying to get it to stay on and not simply blow cold air, I called Alpin Haus RV, the center that services my rig. John, a Shop Foreman, called me back and in a calm, patient manner, asked me a series of questions that led him to believe that the propane pressure in the tank was not sufficient to start the heat flow. He suggested that I change out the propane tank and try it again. Fortunately, I had a new tank from the day before so I connected it and the problem was solved!John was excellent to work with! He was calm, concise, patient -- all very necessary when working with a first time solo RVer with little hands on experience in mechanical matters. I cant thank John enough for his patience and encouragement. He made my day, week and month!
We stored our camper here for many years, and we will be finding somewhere else for storage going forward. Last year our camper was vandalized over the winter while locked behind their gates and every year we pay for them to seal our roof before storage in the fall and this year we pick up our camper and they never sealed the roof and now we have to deal with a leak in the roof. They refuse to assist us and claim the “seal” they put on it only lasts 2 weeks directly from the mouth of the service Manager. Seriously why would I pay for something to last 2 weeks and you have the audacity to tell me turn it into my insurance why because you took our money and didn’t do the service now my insurance should foot the bill!I will never recommend Alpin Haus for an RV purchase or storage. Horrible customer service!
I just purchased a class C RV and I was treated in a professional and compassionate manner. Jim Orepello was my salesman and you couldn’t find a nicer and friendly salesperson. No pressure and no BS. Straight shooter. As well aswilliam anagnostopulos, spend ample time with me to thoroughly understand how to operate my new toy. Funny guy and very knowledgeable. In addition, Justin Foote, manager was also compassionate and Caring. Explained everything and made sure I understood what I was signing. Thank you all.
Thank you Alicia for all of your help with service on our camper! You explained what was wrong so clearly and went above and beyond to help us with the warranty process. We know we had a lot of questions and you took the time to answer every one. This put us at ease and made our experience 5 stars.
We recently rented a travel trailer (Avenger 27DBS) for 4 nights from Alpin Haus in Amsterdam. This was the second time we did this. The last time was about 3 years ago. The camper was brand new. I think we were the second rental on the camper. It was very nice and clean. Mostly though, the staff was helpful and friendly and the process was smooth as can be. Butch and a few other guys in the lot got us all hooked up. They showed us how to do everything as far as hooking up, driving and dealing with the tanks and power. Also, all the hardware required to tow the camper was included in the rental price. We had our own generator, but they will provide one for an additional change. Mr. Kugler and his staff inside the shop were also friendly and helpful as well. I am happy with the price we paid for everything. I did not compare prices anywhere else, but I feel it was a good value. I would highly recommend renting from them. We will rent from them again next time we need to rent a camper.
After a few attempts of trying to contact them and no call back we were about ready to quit, then I talked to Heather. She was amazing, so personable, went the extra mile to show me different options, recorded videos and made us smile. Heather is a 10 star employee and Alpine Haus should be happy to have her. Make sure you ask for her!
We just bought an Apex Nano from Alpin Haus in port Jervis and the whole experience was great. Charlie, Kevin and Keith took great care of us and we were treated like family the whole time! Looking forward to going back for our servicing next year. I highly recommend them.
Tha lasting impression I left with was how EVERYONE appeared to genuinely love working for this company!! They were all so attentive and kind and family like. We initially chose Alpin Haus because of the best prices on RVs! We spoke to Don Terpening about a THOR class A we were interested in and he followed up with an even better price for us! He met us at the front door with the RV warmed and ready to test drive! Don felt like a friend! He was knowledgeable and answered our questions honestly! There was never any pressure here!We made the decision to buy and met with Justin Foote the finance manager. Again, he too was so kind and Easy to work with and very good at his craft! He immediately put us at ease during a time that can be stressful as you can imagine! He also gave us more discounts! This guy is a gem, just a great personality for this job!!Next we met with Bill Ag to learn all about our new RV and learned that he was a master of his trade! We were so impressed by his knowledge and ability to explain, teach and demonstrate all things RV and more!! He never seemed to tire of this task! He too showed so much passion for his craft! And his sense of humor made the experience that much better! Alpin haus is truly VERY fortunate to have Bill on their team!Even though we live nearly 3 hours away, We definitely plan on continuing to deal with this company going forward! They have a fantastic reputation and we’ve experienced it firsthand!A huge heartfelt thank you to all of you guys for what you did for us! All the effort, expertise and kindness were so appreciated!
Please read this review, I hardly ever write them....Beyond excellent customer service. From the start of my camper purchase until picking it up. This family owned business treats you as such, they are attentive and thorough. If you leave and happen to have an issue, they actually follow through and fix it. I dealt with other corporate RV Sales sites and they do not treat you the same. Everyone from Sales to Service, even the Finance guys are nice. There is no good cop bad cop game. They are reasonable and fair priced everything they say they are going to do they do. No hidden fees, very upfront! Special acknowledgment to My salesman Steve Quill (he answers every question even on personal time, caring, knowledgable and compassionate) he is your GO TO SALESMAN. James Bearcroft who was my finance manager (not too pushy, very PATIENT, attentive, smart and punctual). Also, Ron Craig, Vick Van Avery, Jason Bently, and many service advisors for taking such good care of us. You can tell they take pride in what they do, they also are all friendly. Please look no further for your RV purchases. Trust me they are the BEST! I did tons of research before here. They come highly recommended.
We were heading up to the lake today when we discovered we were in a jam. I had forgotten a very important element. We were 35 miles from home but we really didnt want to turn around and start over again.I called Alpin House and they were happy to help us out. The service department here is great!!!We thank them for squeezing us in and making our weekend awesome. :)
If I could give them negative stars I would. They damaged the travel trailer the day before I was supposed to pick Up. Then it took them 8 weeks to get replacement siding. I wound up canceling my camping plans not knowing when they would deliver, along with not taking delivery of the camper.During this time I had to do all the communicating to find out what the status was on the camper. As far as buying a camper, they can sell you pretty much whatever you can afford or want. If it needs repairs Id find a different dealer, their customer service and service department from the managers on down just plain SUCK!
I have been an Alpin Haus customer for four years. The service team is a pleasure to work with. Jack and Edward, service advisors, are customer focused, know how to listen to a customers concerns and issues and respond completely. We have been very satisfied with the work performed by the service technicians. The documentation supplied by the billing system is very detailed and really helpful in keeping a good history of our RV. I highly recommend the Alpin Haus Service Team!
OMG!!! Our salesman at Alpine Haus Amsterdam!!! What a wonderful, kind, informative young man Jim Orapello is!!! Did I say, OMG!?!?If you are stopping in & want to be treated like family & walk away in awe, he is the man for you! He blew us away & made our purchase so comfortable & easy....even during this Covid ordeal. He is so very professional & knowledgeable. From the moment you enter and are greeted by the receptionist (Heather, I believe) and her visiting dog, you will feel right at home.A family owned business started years ago & now run by grandson Ryan, is such a welcoming place to visit. We actually purchased a 3 yr old Tiffin Allegro 34PA. Not at all anything we would have imagined ever owning. We have talked about going on the road in the near future & I must say, this model is awesome & feels just like a true home.We did our walk thru with the most informative & patient service man Bill.....what a dream he also was to deal with, especially this being our 1st class A. He truly took the time to cover all details for us with total patience. We both cannot even imagine anyone walking away from this dealership disappointed. We look forward to being part of the family for years to come as we get to see Jim, Bill and the whole crew on our service visits. If you are thinking about an RV of any kind, give them a visit and ask for Jim Orapello. You wont be disappointed!!! We are friends for life & truly HAPPY CAMPERS!!! THANKS JIM & ALPINE HAUS OF AMSTERDAM!!!
We just purchased a 2003 Lance pickup camper from Alpin Haus. This is our 4th camper purchase (first from them). Out of all the experiences weve had so far, Alpin Haus has been the best. They really worked with us and the fact that we were coming from 4 1/2 hours away. The salesperson Steve Quill was helpful and easy to get a hold of/returned calls promptly. We had our walk around with Mark (cant remember last name sorry :/ ) and he was very knowledgeable about the camper and answered all of our questions. John Murphy got us our approval for a loan without any hiccups or issues. Everyone was a pleasure to do business.I wouldnt hesitate to purchase an RV from here again. Thanks for the great service!
What can I say, I got screwed. Upon walkthrough of our new camper there was a lot of air in the water lines. Was told just air that it would work after it ran a while. Went camping had to have service because it got real bad and no water at all. Service man just laughed. All tiger clamps to the plumbing were not even clamped. The list of bad service goes on. Will post again soon.
I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful customer service we received for the warranty and other work completed by your team. I was extremely pleased with how quickly you diagnosed the problems and got authorization from Grand Design to complete the work and get the parts shipped. As promised, you had our unit ready to go on the date you predicted. I cant thank you enough and look forward to many more happy years working with your dealership as we upgrade units more often than we should.I also posted a lot of positive feedback on the Facebook forums I am part of and many of its members in the area will most likely be reaching out to you as well. It is unfortunate that many people do not get the same customer service at their dealers that we did and that is why your team needs to be celebrated.THANK YOU!!
My wife and I are new to camping and were looking for a 5th wheel RV. We visited several dealers and went to quite a few RV shows to get a better understanding of what we would like. We stopped by Alpin House in Amsterdam and met Don Terpening a sales person there. He let us look around the inventory on hand and then met us to answer any questions that we had and he had a few for us. Based on our answers, he showed us a Grand Design Reflection 311BHS and we fell in love. The whole process was stress and pressure free. We were scheduled to go to another dealer afterwards and decided not to based on how we were treated by Don.
Puchased an RV back in early July. The salesperson was wonderful. Found two issues with the RV that needed to be done. After waiting and waiting Im making calls to find out the status. The two technicians that came out were wonderful. Knowledgeable and very polite. So the issue still wasnt resolved. Again waiting and waiting and me again having to make a call to the service department. Hard to get a call back. Again the same technicians came out. Talk to a person this morning in the service department. Not very nice. So I can say the technicians are wonderful. The sales people are wonderful. Some people in the service department, not so much. The only reason we went with alpin haus is because they were close to where we wanted the camper to be.
The service was very good , everyone was very kind and helpful. We were especially impressed with the technician who gave use the walk threw of our RV on delivery day , he spent almost 5 hours with us making sure we understood all of the system in the RV , and he was very knowledgeable easily answering all of our questions and concerns. We left very confident and informed.
We purchased a fifth wheel Montana High Country on Fathers Day We picked it up the following weekend. On July 4th the Refrigerator died. I called and called and finally got a message that they were going to try to replace the cooling system first before replacing the refrigerator. They replaced it July 18th and it still doesnt work. Ive called multiple times daily and no return calls. They are very willing to take your money, however the service after the sale is non existent. All I want to know is when the camper is going to be repaired.
We were on a road trip and we had problems with our Grand Design Solitude. The water pump went out and one of our slides was malfunctioning . We needed a Grand Design dealer since our 5th wheel was brand new. Alpin Haus in Amsterdam NY was on our route. We took a chance that they would have time to look at it. They allowed us to stay in their lot overnight with no gaurantee anyone would be available to help us out due to so many other units being worked on. We went into the service area first thing in the morning and told them our dilemma . At first we were met with no hope of getting our 5th wheel in the shop but Jack, one of the service advisers there, stepped up to the plate and said he would have his service technician Dan look at our unit. Well it was repaired to our delight . Both of these men went above and beyond. We can not thank them enough. We know it must have put them in a time crunch making everyones units a priority including ours. Jack and Dan, you both are awesome. Alpin Haus is lucky to have caring employees like you. These men are what make service departments successful. Thank you thank you thank you Jack and Dan!
I have been very pleased with the service department at Alpin Haus in Amsterdam. For instance, we were camping and our furnace and water heater were working intermittently.I called Jack and talked to him about . We reached the same conclusion, it might be the regulator. We were planning another trip the following weekend and were hoping to have it fixed by then.Jack told us he would see what he could for us.Got the camper back there on Monday , and it was fixed by Wednesday.Thank you Jack and all your service department for making Mother’s Day weekend happy for my “loving camping wife”!
This is our second TT purchase from the Amsterdam Dealership. The sales staff, service staff are tops. Weve always had a great experience and were treated like family. We had terrible experiences with the staff and service at Albany RV and Camping World, do not waste your time. Thanks Alpin Haus.
What a great experience I had at alpin haus on Tuesday. As a new camper owner I had a walk through on how to winterize it properly. My technician Ron Christman was tha man. He patiently answered all my dumb questions and went above and beyond to help me out. If you ever go to Alpin Haus in Amsterdam to have anything done on your camper, I would ask for Ron Christman. Every employee there was great. When I buy my next camper it will certainly be at Alpin Haus.
If we could give Alpine Haus a 10 star we would. This is the second year we have taken our RV in for yearly maintance for their life time warranty plan. They took us right on time both timas. Ron Christman technician and John Driessen foreman kept us informed on all the work they were doing. Also, Ed Cox the service advisor kept checking on us and RV all day. All employees were very courteous and professional. Also the salesman Dave Blummer who sold us the RV even came by to say hello. When we buy a RV again will be from Alpin Haus because from salesman to service they have been wonderful which is hard to find these days.
I have had an issue with my camper being unleveled for a few years now. Always getting told they would be up to do it. I have knobs that are off my outside kitchen stove for the past few years. Everytime I call, either no call back for months or we have to reorder them. Highly disappointed on not getting call backs in a timely manner. I have the forever warranty and keep it maintained. Very dissatisfied. Stacey Betler
Just picked up our Grand Design Reflection 311bhs. Prior to leaving, Jeff took my wife and I through a 3.5 hour orientation of everything in our camper. Turned on every appliance, faucet and demonstrated every feature. Knowing that we are RV newbies, Jeff patiently answered all our questions. If he didn’t know something, he checked with someone else who could. We now have been through the purchase and delivery process and could not be happier. If the service department delivers in the same way, we will consider it a perfect trifecta!!
Everything about my buying experience was positive. I felt that my salesman Charles Weitz was very knowledgeable and most importantly honest and forthright. Lance in the service department spent a good 4 hours going over every aspect of how to use my Hymer Aktiv and also went above and beyond in every regard. Being able to purchase a service warranty at a reduced rate for my Hymer Aktiv 2.0, which was risky to buy without a manufacturers warranty, was also key in my decision. I have recommended Alpinhaus to others across the country and know that other Alpinhaus customers are just as happy as I am. This isnt the case with other dealerships such as LaMesa in Arizona who no one seems to recommend. Please dont ever change! The way you run your dealership is exactly what your customers want! Thank you!
Gregg was a great salesman. He listened to what we actually wanted and needed and then showed us what fit the bill. He walked us through the financing process and came through like a champ when we hit a snag that could have compromised the deal. Compared to the competition in Albany, this is the dealership you want to do business with.
Thank you Carole Barber. After an absolutely horrible buying experience at Albany RV (NEVER EVER GO THERE!) I went to Alpin Haus RV to go buy everything my wife and I needed for our brand new camper. Even though we did not purchase our camper there Carole was so happy to help us, she gave us an amazing experience buying the stuff that we needed. She walked through the store with us to help us pick stuff out, and told us what to wait for because new stuff was coming in soon! she was very honest and helpful, I cant wait to go back for our future needs when the new stock comes in! she said stop by the first week of april! so we will be there! I hope to bring my business to Alpin Haus, and I hope I can bring my brand new Jayco trailer there as well, I hope I dont have to go back to Albany RV for anything!!
Customer service and the service department are horrible. They installed my TV bracket upside down and rear jacks were broken on delivery. Months of frustration. No replies to emails. Showing up to my camper with out letting me know. No show service call with out any calls to us to cancel. My response to the owner: You can reach me anytime! Make the effort!
I decided to take my 08 Tuscany Motor Coach to Alpin Haus for service because of the reviews I read on this website. What a mistake! There facility is gorgeous and the staff is polite. But there is where it ends. They made countless mistakes servicing my motor coach. I had to interrupt my vacation to return to Amsterdam to complete the repairs that should have been completed the month before. Wrong parts were ordered. When I picked up my RV again a month later not only did they not complete the repairs but damaged my hot water heater and disconnected my tow car lights. Im only mentioning the bigger mistakes here so my review is not several pages long and gets to the point. I ended up wasting my vacation time, wasting fuel returning to Amsterdam and car rental getting home and back.Im in a service business too and mistakes happen, but Alpin Haus sin is not dealing with it properly. It costs a lot of money today to own one of these RVs. The amount of time a busy family gets to use their RV a year is minimal. When you take an RV in for service because you are going to take it on vacation the next month, you want everything working so that you enjoy owning such an expensive limited use asset. Alpin Haus service ruined my vacation and not one person even apologized or offered any assistance. All I got was Ill get back to you after I check with my service or parts manager. Call after call, letters sent, even my credit card company called and I got nothing.I found another service facility that charges significantly less and is far more interested in customer satisfaction.
Recently purchased a used Thor Outlaw from Don T in Amsterdam. Jeff did a phenomenal walk through of the unit. Jim Bearcroft made all the finances easy and seamless. Everyone we worked with from the moment we walked through the door and met Don to the time we left with our unit was helpful and great to work with.
I highly recommend GREG and Alphin haus rv! We headed out yesterday morning to look at travel trailers and meet Greg when we walked into the door, he sat down With us and helped narrow down what we were looking for. Greg brought us out and showed us a bunch of trailers and explained everything about each one taking his time with us. When we finally found the one we loved he was amazing helping us get what we need to be approved! I was so impressed with the time and attention he spent on us we will be going back to alpin Haus and hopefully dealing with Greg for years to come! Thank you so much we can not wait to pick up our camper this week!
I have nothing but good to say about Alpin Haus. My Salesman, Jake Reinhart, was very knowledgeable and very helpful, throughout the entire buying process. Working with their Finance Manager Justin Foote was also a pleasure as well. I tend to ask a ton of questions, and these two gentlemen answered each and every one of them. If youre looking for an RV, this is your spot.
Been all across the country a number of times, sonwhen i tell you that Alpin Houses service rates a five star rating, believe it. Whether you bought your setup there (we did) or bring a rig that you bought elsewhere (we did that as well), they will take excellent care of you.
On September 30; 2019 after three days of a new NOBO RV, we developing brake problems while 2000 miles from home and 500 miles from the dealer we purchased the RV from. We limped into the nearby RV dealer, Alpinhaus, explained the problems and they assigned a technician to find the issue. Two hours later we were back on the road, brakes fixed and bill sent to Forrest River via warrantee. On the road again on our cross country shake down cruise. Thanks Dave Behuniak, assistant service manager and the crew that worked on the RV
Ive tried 3 times via text/chat to get SOMEBODY to discuss my interest in buying a motorhome. Was told Id hear back shortly. Nothing?!? With a near 800 credit score and a 6 figure income, youd think theyd jump at the oppotunity to sell me a new or late model Class B MH. Nope. The lights on but nobodys home.
It takes many people working in concert to create a positive experience for the customer. So here’s a gigantic thank you to the team who helped us: Ed Cox, our service advisor, John Christman, the service tech, Denise Alvarez, the warranty liaison and John Driessen, the service foreman. The service was terrific, the status updates frequent and friendly, the popcorn perfectly seasoned! Thanks from happy customers Don and Pat Oberman.
So we stopped in to look at some RVs because we purchased one from another dealer and where looking to trade it in for something with bunks. We had to sit and fill out a bunch of forms before we could look at campers and then I could tell the sales person was not interested when I said I was looking to trade into something with little out of pocket since what I have is new already. The inventory here is a bit small on vendors they carry. They have lots of camper but the brands are limited.
Contacted their dealership for a price on a new unit and to get a quote on a trade in. Based on Google reviews it looked like their Service Dept (the scary part of buying an RV when working with a dealership) was reputable. I was contacted within a day and given a quote 12 hours later. I was quoted MSRP !! Trade price was okay. I balked at price and was given the standard “Well other dealers will charge you freight, prep, transportation, etc. We don’t “. So I immediately went with the other dealership that I wanted to work with and got an out-the-door deal that was $14K cheaper on a $58,000 (MSRP) RV. DON’T BELIEVE THE RESPONSE THIS REVIEW WILL GET FROM THE DEALERSHIP. MY STORYLINE IS ACCURATE. The rule is - do your homework people !! Shop around !! Visit MANY dealerships even if you have to get quotes out of state. Arm yourself with knowledge. It will save you $$.
We just purchases a Hymer Aktiv, our first RV. The entire team: Adam, Ron and Justin was very professional and followed through on their commitments. The 3 hour walk through provided by Lance before we left with our new RV made us confident we knew how to operate the unit effectively.
Great RV supplies store. camper sales section to over priced on campers. I went to camping world and got my camper the same one that they had on site I paid 4,867.00 less. Yes I had to travel to Syracuse NY to pick it up but it was worth it.O did I mention I did the hole deal over the phone also that was a plus.
Had a roadside tire issue, stopped to see if they had a new one as they didnt answer the phone after 3 calls. Waited in the service center for 20 minutes without so much as a hello. One service writer went to lunch and the other seemed to have no concept of what they were doing. Left and went 5 miles down the road.
Very unorganized when my husband and I called they did not even no who they were talking to!! Played phone tag for about a week and my husband called today only to find out that they did they talked to me(nope) and then they mailed us or deposit back last week before even telling us yes or no on the camper!! Very disappointed with there service, will not be going back there EVER even if I won the lottery
This company takes advantage of good people! My grandparents had there 2006 country coach brought in to this company in August to have an electric modular replaced ! The estimated labor of work was 6 hours and my grandparents were charged for 26 hours of labor! This company screwed them over royaly. I dont get how you can treat and Rob inosent people or anyone like this. Now that the coach is home we have had nothing but issues & all planned set vacations have been canceled due to the coach not working ! They deserve to be reimbursed for the over charged hours of labor they were charged. Your companys main purpose should be pleasing & satisfying your costumers leaving them happy!
Called SERVICE DEPT. with a RV on the road emergency, got voice mail, 2 1/2 hours later got a call back from Dave....very nice ....Service is booked 2 weeks out for service, cant look at, cant help....nothing they can do.Bought a $ 325,000 Monanco Camelot from them......MY LAST!
We approached the sales department with what we wanted in a new RV, our terms and expectations. After being horribly ignored by our previous dealer, and local competitor, not only did Alpin Haus in Amsterdam, NY meet our terms and expectations, they went on to exceed them. Highly recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a fair and honest deal.Thank you Nancy.
After a challenging experience with our Class C, Service Advisor Edward Cox, along with his service team John Drissen and Ron Christmas knocked it out of the park with their customer service and genuine concern to address our issues. I cannot thank them enough for restoring our faith and taking all the time they did with me and my Class C. Thank You!!!
Make sure the salesman puts everything in writing , during the sales process they promise things like $35 to bring your boat to Sacandaga and $35 to pick it up. Right after the sale they deliver it for $35 but they charged $75 to pick it up. When asked they said if its not in writing it doesnt count. Also they offer free storeage if you buy the boat there. So youd think it would be cheaper to keep your boat there have it winterized and shrunk wrapped, NOT. They charge the same fee for storeage winterizing and shrink wrap even if you didnt buy the boat there. Overall bad experience. Wouldnt buy another boat there.
I had gone to the show in Saratoga. All I can say WOW. First they didnt lie to me about the lbs of the camper the salesman took his time to look up and find just what I was looking for. I was very strict on what I was looking for and I found it.i highly recommend alpin haus over Albany rv. Unless you want to be lied to and pull your hair out.👍👍. Thank you alpin haus.⛺⛺
Terrible, bought a boat from these people. Was promised various deals, and prices, never delivered. As far as service, well lets hope you bring your money because you will get raped. Also most people seem to be rude and as unhelpful as they can be. Apparently there doing you a favor letting you spend your money with them. Dont.
I went to this place June 24 2017 to get my 2016 camper inspected I was told it was a great place to go .Being my first time going I was very disappointed when I told the guy who was going to inspect it that all my lights did not work thats all we could find wrong with it he said know problem, 20 minutes later my camper was sitting outside and inspected. All the lights still did not work so they did not fix them (it was my top running ones must of thought we didnt need those) we took off for our camping trip, get to the campsite hook the water up and water started to poor in my camper and out of it we look at are hot water heater and someone must have took pliers to it ,they broke everything and it was fine before we went there I also have surveillance cameras on my camper at all time at my house and this is the only place we went to and it was fine before we went, maybe they thought we would give them more business but I never will go there again and Im going to make sure I let everyone I know not to go there the scam artist.
Salesman by the name Wayne is a lair and dont know what he is selling things he told us about our RV wasnt true WE should have picked it up sooner we would have canceled the sale because of it but it was to late to do that. The store it self is ok but stay away from this guy Wayne and still lair about things that we should have gotten and still dont have. They also give some free camping at RV park but you sit tru the sales pitch but when we tride to book a site they wont return your call so we cant even make.l guess thats the reason there being sued. UPDATE:(A manager by the name Bob Rose stepped up and took care of my issue a BIG THANK YOU )

2022-03-30What an amazingly professional experience. From Heather in Sales, Kyle in financing, Vic in service and John who did my final walk through I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were all so helpful and did everything they could to accommodate my individual needs. I highly recommend the Alpin Haus RV Center to anyone looking for a new or used RV and a great RV service center.

2022-05-07Our salesman, Nick Bishop, was wonderful! He got back to us promptly with answers to our long distance questions, Face timed us inside our soon to be our new fifth wheel and enabled us to smoothly purchase even though we live hours away. Financing was easy with competitive rates. On day of pickup, Nick greeted us with a smile and John went over every nook and cranny in detail with us. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would highly recommend Alpin Haus in their Amsterdam location for your camper purchase… ask for Nick Bishop!!

2022-04-10We arrived at Alpin haus late on a Saturday afternoon they close at 4:00 we arrived at 3:40 Greg was more then happy to show us a few units. We didnt leave there till 5:30. He his time and was more then knowledgeable about the units he show us. We ended up falling in love with the Forester 3011DS. Its a smaller dealership and they really take care of there customers. Thank you Alpin Haus for a job well done.

2021-11-10I bought my new camper and Mark House was an professional salesman. Mark went out of his way to help me! I had to wait 3 months for my camper, but it was worth the wait. Dan explained my new camper with ease. Plus signing ALL THAT PAPERWORK with Keith went well. Highly recommend!

2022-06-19Great dealership to work with from day 1. Not at all pushy and gave us a great trade in price for our camper along with a very competitive purchase price for our 2022 Grand Design 2600RB. Service guys were also great to work with when a few minor manufacturing issues came up. They contacted Grand Design and recieved approval for parts and labor to repair these issues in a very timely manner.Thank you guys.

2021-08-14My husband and I just bought our “new” Class C RV at Alpin Haus Amsterdam……Everyone there is very friendly…helpful….and knowledgeable……Our salesman Dave B was awesome…..he took his time..answered any and all questions we had..None of the usual “salesman bolony” that we had found at other dealers……When we came to pick up our RV…Our demo done by Lance was excellent….. very thorough….and again…he was willing to answer any questions we had regarding the operation of the rig……5 stars for Lance! Our final step was meeting with Kyle regarding the business end of the deal…Another great Alpin Haus associate!…..Friendly..professional and easy to deal with regarding the financial part of our purchase…5 stars Kyle! Finally back to our sales associate Dave…..I highly recommend if you are considering an RV purchase….go straight to Alpin Haus in Amsterdam and ask for Dave! You won’t be sorry!

2022-07-03Super helpful and glad to help me. I was passing through after boondocks and just needed to dump my tanks. They just wanted to be super friendly, and even though it was 30 minutes before close on 4th of July weekend they took the time to make me feel like I was a regular customer! One of the sale people even took the time to ask me about my solar system on my rig and talk with another customer about it. I have never been a customer of them, but if I need something, I think its worth the drive! Would rather go to the east than deal with most of my local dealerships or the ones in Rochester! Thank you for taking away the feeling that the dealership has to be cold.
