We had our wedding at the Altamont Manor on 11/17/18. It was picture perfect and Harvey was great! From the first time we met with him, he was accommodating and laid everything right out, he was always available for questions and responded to emails promptly. He even gave us a break on the price because of the time of year. He gave us wonderful referrals, specifically our caterer, whom we couldnt have been happier with, The Turf Tavern. We had our ceremony on site and indoors, We had about 55-60 people, I wouldnt put any more than that in that space, although the grounds are beautiful and have plenty of space for an outdoor ceremony. But if you have a smaller guest list, and its chilly out, indoors is beautiful, you cant beat the round room. He was ready to go at a moments notice, if we chose to do it outside though, so dont think that you are a slave to the weather.I would recommend Harvey, his personal touch, and the gorgeous Altamont Manor to anyone looking to add a personal, antique, and truly unique and intimate feel to their wedding.

I had my baby shower here in late September and it was perfect! The venue was stunning and the grounds were gorgeously kept. Everyone who we worked with was kind, responsive, helpful, and patient, and the day went by without a hitch. The setting looked like a scene from a fairytale, and I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thank you to the entire Altamont Manor family!

Five stars are not enough to rate the experience my fiancée and I had with the Altamont Manor. Before booking this vendor, I read reviews just like mine and couldn’t believe them. I figured there was no way that one person could be so accommodating and professional and for such an amazing price. Harvey not only proved the reviews right, he proved me wrong. He IS that person. From the very first day that Steven and I visited the Manor he was my wedding guru. We had a longer than average engagement and he was attentive each and every time I contacted him with questions. He challenged my ideas and made them better. He made sure I knew the pros and cons of every decision and he knew my wedding in & out, as if he planned my wedding himself. And that was all before the wedding weekend. The night of the rehearsal Harvey orchestrated everything – he made sure everyone knew where they needed to be and when they needed to move. He instilled confidence in us that our day was going to be perfect. He was right. I have heard from many guests that our wedding was the most beautiful they’ve ever been to – and that was thanks to the Altamont Manor. The venue is so beautifully simple and ornate. The leaves were falling all around us as we said our vows like God himself was in attendance. And all the way up at the top of the house, Harvey was snapping the photo I’ve attached to this review. He provided that shot, one that nobody else could’ve gotten, free of charge the day after the wedding. I could not recommend this venue any more highly. For any budget – if you want a fairytale wedding, choose Harvey and the Altamont Manor.

I had contacted Harvey back in early 2021. My wife and I never had a legitimate wedding, and wanted to plan something nice for a vow renewal but not over the top. We had a budget, but it seemed that everywhere we went the price was either outrageous for our needs or we had to go somewhere cheaper and make severe compromises. I will say to anyone in the same boat looking for somewhere to have a nice wedding with a tight budget, the altamont manor gives you the best of both worlds. Extremely affordable while making 0 compromises. Whats more is Harvey will guide you every step of the way leading up which eliminates the need for a wedding planner. He has been doing this for years and knows it all. Personally, I felt that he prefers to be more hands on as opposed to involving a planner. The place was gorgeous and we wouldnt have done our wedding anywhere else.That being said, I will add some constructive criticism. The day prior to and the day of, Harvey will show another side, and I think its mostly because he undertakes a lot at the manor by himself. Hes a hard worker. But that attitude kind of bled into our experience a little bit. While setting up for the wedding which we had spent seven months planning, we felt sort of rushed out because he had somewhere he needed to be. I think anyone can agree that after months of planning, we should be entitled to all the time we need for setup and staging the day prior. He seemed a lot more concerned about how our decorations would affect the next wedding, when in reality if ours is the next day we shouldnt be worrying about someone elses. And we werent spraying silly string all over his manor either. He was acutely concerned with hay bails we had procured from hobby lobby and the potential for the hay to spread. It was a reasonable thing for him to mention, sure. But there was kind of a my way or the high way undertone. It made my wife and her family feel a little pressured and uncomfortable. Secondly, the day of the wedding all was well, but we rented the venue until 7 PM. Harvey would periodically come down and helicopter a little bit even going as far as to tell my wife to use her bustle. Then at around 6:15 he came down looking at his watch. We were already initiating cleanup, but his approach made us feel rushed out and unwelcome. He was passive aggressively saying he wants us out. It just kind of put a damper on things. If I were Im his shoes I would wait until 7 sharp, then start ushering people to wrap it up regardless of the designated time frame. While cleaning he had also told my wife we have some of the same lanterns. Im sure he was just protect his belongings, but to my wife who spent months planning this wedding and buying her own lanterns, she kind of took it as him telling us not to steal his, which we wouldnt dream of. I think his manor is great. He offers excellent value for your money and honestly made our dream possible in more ways than one, but I wish he would have just layed off a little during our actual wedding. I would still recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Attended a September wedding here - it was gorgeous! The property is beautiful and there was enough parking for all the guests. I did miss the entrance to the venue on my first attempt, maybe some better signage off the main road could be helpful. But the bride was thrilled with their experience with the management. Lovely spot!

The Altamont Manor was our first and only stop as we looked for venues! Don’t look elsewhere, it’s simply the best! We could not have asked for a better venue, service or photography services! The venue was picture perfect and the day went off without a hitch thanks to Harvey executing every detail to make our day flow smoothly. The sunken garden made the most wonderful spot for our ceremony, and the reception inside were both simply elegant! The hydrangeas were just beautiful combined with the beautiful greenery and fountain. Could not have asked for better service or a better day. We will cherish it forever and thanks to Harvey and Donna’s photography we have the most beautiful pictures to relive it over and over!

My fiancé and I are getting married august 26 and are using altamont manor for our wedding venue. So far we couldnt be happier with the communication with Harvey. He is wonderful. He gets back to you in a timely manner and has been so helpful. I had lots of questions and he is able to make me feel a ease about the big day. I have heard ONLY good things about Harvey from several people who got married there. They said he is on point and is a wonderful coordinator on the big day. He has been wonderful since booking the venue so I am not worried at all about our wedding day. I definitely recommend this venue. He keeps his property beautiful and cares about the upkeep of it.
