Nice little country store, with a good variety of fruits, vegetables, garden plants (depending on the season), small-batch food items, and more. Amazingly delicious cider donuts in the Fall! Prices are pretty reasonable too. Theres also an area for kids/families to hang out and play. And the view of the Helderberg Escarpment is absolutely beautiful!! Overall a fun, enjoyable, and quaint experience--worth the trip.
Great place to go picking, but they should label the apple varieties in each area. They include prices on their website which most dont.
Great bakery and the best Apple cider. Have been going here for many years throughout the seasons and recommend the store and picking. The staff here are wonderful and helpful. Definitely recommend their cider, pies, pickled garlic, and in the spring their greenhouse is awesome.
Last minute Christmas tree turned out to be a wonderful experience! Great place!
So the store itself is great. Lots of little gifts and the doughnuts are awesome. The 2 stars is for the actual orchard which you have to drive too. Is basically under high voltage power lines and not mowed or cleared so bring boots and pants. Dont want the kidos getting ticks. I recommend the store for a quick stop but Id suggest a different place for apple picking
Altamont Orchards has delicious cider donuts. They also have lots of sauces, flavored butters and river rat cheeses to choose from. Pumpkins and gourds were a bit expensive in my opinion.
Enjoy orchard fresh veggies and fruits . Lots of relishes and jams. Lots of flowers and plants reduced! Exceptionally service. Young lady was polite mom of two. Working at orchard finish her education as become Social worker for children! Commendable her determination career choices. Thru this pandemic hope for her future generations. This history notations of life . Praise her healthy and happy life.
Dont expect any accurate information from their clueless employees. This is the 2nd year in a row I called and received the wrong information about candy crisp apples. Weeks ago I called looking for candy crisp apples and was told they wouldnt have them until 9/12. Now on 9/12 I call at 9am (as soon as they open) and was told they are sold out for the year and the employee must have thought I meant Cortland.

Excellent cider donuts, cider slushies, vide variety of jams, sauces, fudge, cheese, specialty meats. Great selection of gourds, pumpkins, apples, fall vegetables and floral decorations. Something for everyone!
The drive out there alone is worth the trip. Not too far and yet just enough scenery. The store is fun to wander around in and explore. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help. The cider is awesome. The baked goods are delicious. So many other nik-naks, crafts, maple products, jellies and jams, etc.
Great apples, cider and doughnuts as always. They have a lot of other local and regional products too. Good parking.
One of our usual fall stops. Picked gala apples then off to the atore to get a Dutch apple pie, cookies, donuts and mums!!
Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and assorted condiments. Great apple cider donuts. The people were nice and personable. Only downside was the actual orchard for apple picking is a little hard to find.
Its a great place to bring the family. Its the classic upstate New York orchard so it has everything you would expect. Its a little tight though so I tend to get a little claustrophobic in there, especially when people have shopping carts. In fact, the shopping carts are the worst thing about this place. Not only did they make the place feel cramped but they were all really load and hard to push.
Favorite orchard in the area. Its all about the apples and the experience for my family. We love coming here because its a tradition and we love your cider donuts. Wayyyy better than your nearby competitors.
Always a fall experience that I love!!! They have a ton of product that is unique to upstate NY. I went with a bacon flavored ketchup this time, smokey and delicious!
Great place to shop for flowers in the spring, plus I was able to get some fresh cider donuts.
Love the store / gift shop! Lots of great canned goods and an excellent bakery. They also have the best dill pickles.
Great place for fruits, vegetables and garden plants. Local foods and crafts. Not to mention Apple picking in the late summer into early Fall.

I go to Altamont Orchards for all of my Apple and maple product needs. They have a great little Country Store filled with all sorts of Fresh Products I highly recommend it!
My favorite local orchard. Great cider and doughnuts. Not as commercially-oriented as some orchards, which also means its less crowded.

2022-05-27What a great place to get your started Plants for the season. Is a big variety of vegetable plants flowers and hanging baskets.They have a wonderful fresh fruit area with the best Apple donuts.And the great gift shop what a great experience would recommend everybody to go out and see the Altamont orchards.

2021-09-26Very nice place with many different items to buy. Homemade cider doughnuts pies and pet cookies. Many different types of jams and jar items. Fresh produce and flowers that are in season. Nice little gifts that you can buy for people as well.

2021-09-27The store was great! So much variety in products. The fudge was delicious! However, we tried to go to the orchards but turned ourselves away due to the excessive amount of power lines nearby and the unstable wooden bridge at the entrance.

2021-10-24Its gotten a lot smaller than in previous years. Focus is pretty much on apples. It used to be a go to destination for family fall fun, but not so much anymore. They do have a small haunted maze area inside where the gift shop is...but it is very small. I used to drive here from Saratoga to find neat and interesting things for Christmas gifts, but gift shop is so small now.

2021-09-12Today we got a dozen hot apple cider doughnuts, a bushel of apples homemade raspberry preserves, and apple cider. We broke into the doughnuts right in the car, and apple cider. We were humming and eating the whole time! Yum!

2019-12-08Their Apple cider donuts are AMAZING and they always seem to have a good selection of real Christmas trees (already cut). They will also load the tree and secure it to your vehicle for you. Very polite, nice, and all around an amazing group of people.
