Very good people here at Ambassador Luggage. I live about an hour a way and needed my luggage tags to be stamped with my initials. Usually this takes about a day but they accommodated me for on site. They even stamp both sides for the price of one side. Will be a returning customer for my luggage needs! Highly recommend if you need quality luggage for a great price.

I don’t usually travel for work, so I don’t own any carry-on for my laptop and other electronics. A last-minute trip to the client site for a prolonged period, required me to bring a work computer and other equipment with me on my flight and then back and forth from the client site to my hotel. I gave Ambassador Luggage Store a go based on their yelp and google reviews and I must say I’m glad I did. The manager Sube explained to me the features of the Briggs and Riley @ Work Expandable Brief and how it perfectly fit my needs. Immediately I whipped out my credit card and made the purchase. The whole experience was very pleasant, I highly recommend you buy your luggage here.
Great backpack selection for business and my daily commute. Needed the right shape, size and weight. They had everything in many different brands. Highly recommend if you work around the area. Easy walk from Theatre district. 👍🏻
Ambassador has great collections of all kinds of bags in all brands. I was looking for specifically Tumi, Rimova and Brigg. Sube was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped me in deciding which bag would be great for work and personal use. Great store and service and very conveniently located, will do business again and highly recommend it.
Well stocked with high end luggage and backpacks. I needed a backpack for work/commuting. I was able to see and touch everything I was already considering online - and I bought the same day. The staff was extremely helpful. I would shop here again.
The location is very convenient since I work nearby. I stopped in one day to inquire about wallets and backpacks, and I ended up buying both. The prices are really good and the materials all seem to be of high quality. The staff was very kind and friendly.
Ambassador Luggage Store is one of the best luggage retail in the market. The store specialty is selling luggage, travel bags, and other accessories. They have wide selection of suitcases from Samsonite to Rimowa, etc.Instead of forcing you to purchase luxury goods. They would recommend suitable options based on the information you provided, such as budget, days of traveling, and purpose of traveling .Sube is the sale manager in the store. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and provided an excellent customer service to me. I ended up buying three suitcases from him.
Bottom line: Definitely recommend skipping the web and just buying from here. Less headache, easier warranty repair process.Living in NYC, I pass Ambassador Luggage frequently. They always have a ton of inventory displayed in the window, but I was happy with my Swiss Army rolling bag I got 10 years ago. I travel at least 3 times a month (Delta Platinum in less than a quarter), so when my trusted bag lost a wheel, I had the chance to go into the the Madison ave shop and check it out.I was helped by a man named Sube, he was very knowledgable about the different brands and sensitive to my storage needs and travel style. Sure, he knew I was probably going to check Amazon for the best price, but he was patient and showed me multiple bags explaining the different features.Ultimately, I purchased a new roller bag from him. I liked him, his shop and wanted to support a local business. It didnt hurt that he mentioned that anytime I had a repair, he would facilitate the work order and I could just drop the bag off.
Came in with my friend to buy a backpack and was very satisfied. Womens business backpacks are hard to find but luckily they had plenty of choices from Briggs & Riley to Tumi. They give corporate discounts so be sure to have your business card on hand.
I’m pretty picky when it comes to large purchases, so I already knew a lot about what I was looking for. The salesman was the perfect mix of helpful by adding in his 2¢ and letting me have space to decide. Wasn’t 100% sold on getting luggage today, but the salesman was so helpful I went ahead and did it. Great place.
I wish I can give a negative star.The staff was extremely rude.I had to go on a last minute business trip so no time to shop on line. Stepped in the store and asking for a TUMI garment bag. The salesman pointed to me the direction. When I asked whether or not they have any other colors than the black one on display, he used a very condescending tone to ask me back: what other color you want? I said I saw on website that they have all kind of colors, not the main bag but on the handle, tag, and etc. He said you have to buy those separately from a bag (same tone again). I figured out right away that he didnt have any to offer. I said I don’t think so. He said you don’t know what you talking about. I said: you know what, I am here to buy a bag and really don’t need to be treated like this and started existing the store. On my way out, he shouted behind me:” you are stupid! “I hope the owner see this review and review the camera to see how the salesperson insulted a repeat customer (I bought a suitcase from them a couple years ago).
Excellent experience. Saeed stayed with me for 30 minute explaining the nuances between brands and based on the needs of my trip. Highly recommended for a high touch, in person experience. And so close to many travel hubs. Well worth it if looking for a non online experience.
I could not be happier. I bought a rolling Royce Leather legal briefcase last week and I am thrilled with the purchase. The salesperson took a lot of time and sustained a lot of patience despite my plethora of questions. It was rare to see someone be so kind and willing to help instead of rushing just to make the sale. I will definitely buy Royce Leather and will buy from Ambassador luggage specifically again.

Best backpack assortment in New York City. Had a really hard time finding out sizes of all the bags I wanted online. Took me 10 minutes to find the bag of my choice and at a reasonable price. Hint: Briggs-Riley is same quality of Tumi at half the price. Terry was able to help me with the sale :)
Good selection and received good help in finding what I needed in little time, though when I got back home and realized the Samsonite dkx 2.0 25 inch bag that I bought on sale for $199 (plus sales tax) was $40 cheaper on Amazon, I wasnt as happy.Ill chalk it up to needing a suitcase for a trip the next day and having little time to deal with shipping, but Id advise you do some price checking on your smartphone before you make any purchase with them.

Although Im all the way from Europe, this is my go-to store for luggage and whenever Im in New York (approx once per year) I always visit them. Ive bought multiple Tumi bags as well as other luggage related items from them and Ive always been super happy on the prices as well as the service. Thank you!
Rude. I had ordered a suitcase offline and wanted to see it in the store just to get a bit of a preview. I told the man this when he asked me what I was looking for in the store and he immediately became defensive and dismissive, cutting me off to say Okay maam. Once you order your bag offline youre completely on your own. Its totally different stuff It was not different stuff.. I had ordered the Tumi suitcase that was in their window display. I would never shop with them.
Was visiting from Florida and unfortunately lost my luggage but i did find this place!! prices were great and i just loved my backpack and carryon luggage. owner was very nice and kind, definitely made my New York trip better. thank you again for everything!

The store manager, Mr. Sube, is really kind and gentle. He knows how to deal with his customers. I saw he did his best. So, after shopping , I felt satisfied. I definitely recommend purchasing from Ambassador Luggage.
My luggage did not survive one round trip to Europe. When I returned home, I noticed the luggage was cracked and split open. An ISO 9001 standard suitcase should be able to survive multiple use and abuses by airplane luggage handlers. I shall see if I get a positive response from Ambassador and if I do, I will revise my review to be more positive.
Edit: My boyfriend handled the exchange for me at the physical shop location. When he came back, he said one thing: you should probably change your review. The shop manager was helpful and overall amazing!So here we go.
Needed a new briefcase for work and decided on Ambassador. Different colors, sizes, styles but decided on standard black. Ask the manager for special values and sale items before making a purchase. They will do their best to make sure you leave happily.

As soon as clerk saw me going for the door he looked away and when I entered and asked him which one is the lightest, he didn’t even bother moving and pointed the one next to me. And then when I gave him a look he pointed his fingers to the back there more if u want(rude way) so I just walked out. This place is horrible. Never going back here again I don’t even know know how people write good comments here. It was a horrible experience ever!.If you have a surveillance camera, you should watch it! And how could he answer me if he didn’t hear me?? And I’m not making negative reviews for no reason( what you said wasn’t nice at all) This is my very first time writing a review in google that’s how disappointed I was. I just wanted to buy a light luggage to travel which I bought it in samsonite(few blocks up)10min after I went to you.

We went in a middle of a snow storm. Arrived 10 minutes before closing hours. They where inside the store but with the doors closed, they didnt open... Very rude manager or employee or even owner... Piece of garbage...

2022-06-06I’m glad this store came back and survived covid. This is the only luggage store around and the new location is great. They moved up the block from the old location. The man is there seven days a week to help!!

2022-01-27Left a $750 piece of luggage in august to be fixed . Never told they were closing. They robbed me in the amt of $750 , unreplaeable luggage and the cost to fix.Last I heard they are in the middle eat and not coming back. Google you owe it your followers to let people know!Is there anyway I can get the owners name to give to Tumi. They may be able to track down owner since they supplied them as a Tumi sales representative .Joe Ruzzo

2019-08-20The gentleman was pushing me to make decision in a short period of time. He was nice in the beginning, but then tried to persuade me to buy some bags that didnt meet my requirements.I already searched online and listed the dimension I need for my laptop, the colors I like, and the weights I want. I was reading those imformation on my phone so I can express my needs but the gentleman just wanted me to focus on those bags infront of me.After he found out that they didnt provide the bags I was looking for, he asked me to choose from whatever they have because those bags are good. Yes, I admit those bags are in good quality but I want something smaller. A 17 bag is way too large for my 13 laptop.At first, I took some pictures in the store so I can share with others about the great place to buy bags and luggages. But the gentleman thought that I was there only to take picture, not buying anything. I am not sure if he thought I was a random traveler wandering around in NY, doing nothing. WelI, I live here and I was trying so hard to find a right bag taking to my masters classes.They do have some discounts for bags and luggages in different brands but not much comparing to the price on the website (Tumi & Samsonite). And if you are lucky to find special sales on the website, it will be much cheaper than the price in the store.

2021-05-23I was heading away and needed a Carry On bag, urgently. Sube was absolutely fantastic! I found the bag I wanted from his store online. He was quick to respond and even dropped it off at my house in Brooklyn free of charge! Thats not to mention how incredibly affordable his products are.This is good old service with a smile and HUGELY appreciated. The world needs more of this and these guys know what theyre doing.We will be back to Ambassador to pick up our his and her luggage packs very soon!Thank you Sube and team. You guys are the best!

My wife and I have purchased several pieces of luggage there and I purchased a briefcase and everything has been great. 2017-08-17I bought a Tumi carry-on there today, and going into the experience, I had no idea what factors I should have been considering in a carry-on bag. The team was incredibly knowledgeable, willing to work with me on price, and very friendly. My next piece of luggage will definitely come from Ambassador as the level of service is definitely worth coming back for. I really commend their staff for knowing the intricacies of their products so well.

It’s a great multi-use backpack that I can use daily for work and for my weekend commute around the city.
