One of very best malls. My daughter loves visiting this mall for so many attractions under one single roof.. Perfect place for a winter outing. I would specially call out the adventure rope park which is one of the biggest indoor rope park, the bowling, VR game arcade, a indoor wheel, carousel along side lots of food to choose from.
Absolutely disgusted with this place. I was told I couldnt bring my water in. I am on certain medications that require me to have a certain amount of water with me. I do not have that kind of money to be getting their $5 water. As a result, I dehydrated during the film and had to leave. The only reason they would do this is pure CAPITALISM. There is no good reason at all people cannot carry their water with them. Absolutely disgusted. Will never come to this place until they change this possibly life threatening rule.Add to that:1) excruciatingly uncomfortable, stiff seats in the overpriced LIEMAX theater2) having to get back in line for reentry3) slowest imaginable concessions, taking nearly 15 minutes for only two parties in front of me
I love visiting new theaters. This is one of the best theater visited. Seating were good comfortable. Best part about this theater is located inside the Palisades Mall and its is one of the adventure to find the theater if visiting this place first time. Please do visit this theater recommended place. I watched 007 Not Time to Die on Imax worth it!!!
CRAZY girl at the cash register. Yelled and cursed and my son and me. So weird! I asked for the ‘manager’, the manger was also afraid of the cashier, he could not even look up at me! Just mumbled and let us leave with our refund. I am so confused! Can we get some control at this place please??? I felt like I was on one of those candid camera shows, so bizarre. Anyway, after that I will have a hard time going back to one of my favorite theaters.Attn manager: you need to learn how to coach your employees and LISTEN to your customers. You are weak, grow up.
This movie theater location is awesome. You have so many things to do in one place. You can go shopping, eating, and then finish it up with some entertainment (movies). The movie theater have some comfy seats and some good popcorn. This location does provide free parking, just make sure you know where you parked because this mall is hugeeee!
Killing with pop corns/liesThe God Father 50 opening night at PP Mall AMC. I was there to watch this classic movie again half a century apart. Unlike myself as a young boy having watched this movie enjoying pop corns with lots of salt and butter, I and many others in their 60s, 70s or 80s now sitting in the same theatre are mostly advised by doctors to reduce cunsumption of salt for a number of health reasons. Thats why I asked for a bag of unsalted pop corns from a lady busy training a new employee in the pop corn booth. She said, spices except salt were added to the pop corns and handed me a bag as if she is teaching a correct way of business to the apprentice. However, the pop corns were saturated with salt when I tasted them in Theater 9. I returned it for another snacks, and quietly asked, Someone shouldnt say sorry? While the new employee on OJT said Sorry, seemingly his supervisor prouldy replied/lied again with a straiht face For what? as if demonstrating an AMC business manual with regard to seling pop corns. This selling strategy certainly echoed the idealization/dramatization of deception masterfully portrayed in The God Father and it was accepted for the AMC pop corn selling business that also can murder old people with health issues. The difference is that those in the movie kills people for millions of dollars but this AMC lady, only for 10 bucks. Beware, seniors!!
Great experience at AMC as always.. Im all about the clean bathrooms at friends and they do have them here. But that is also if you go to the 1st show of the day.. Due to shortages they had no butter for the popcorn good thing I dont eat buttered popcorn. Great to be back after the pandemic.. They are always clean
I bought tickets online on the amc app i never received an email or my tickets. i went to amc to see if they could access my tickets. the manager Chelsy had made this story that my tickets arent there and i that bought them somehwere else. i refused to leave because i had paid for them and she was to lazy to even do her job right and listen to me, she was teling me to pretty much leave. thank god for Ethan, someone give this man a raise because he was more of a manager then Chelsy could ever be. he helped me out found my tickets that Chelsy claimed werent there and i was happily able to watch my movie with the tickets i bought. when chelsy wasnt even doing her job in the first place because she did nothing. The fact that chelsy had managment training and couldnt find the tickets but Ethan could says alot. Amc know your workers and who deserves a higher position.
Recently went to AMC to see Black Widow in IMAX. Mind you I have not been to this theater since Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. I believe the theater we were in is new as the screen reached those true large heights. The seats in this Ewen theater do not recline but we’re still quite wide enough for a man of my larger size. The staff was courteous as to be expected. I look forward to future visits.
In the theater we were in, many of the seats need to get reapulstured desperately; and they didnt recline too well. The temperature was too high in my opinion and when I spoke to one of the managers about that and how loud the movie was, his response was that I should have left the theater and told them about it so they could have fixed the problem right then. How am I supposed to leave the theater while my young child is sitting there unnatetended?! Shouldnt they send someone to the theater to check in on it? Never had any issues in the past, even when they first reopened but I was not too thrilled this time. If I could, I would give it 2 and a half stars.
Good movie theater as movie theaters go. Okay seats are comfortable and recline even. Depending on the actual theater, screen size varies and there is even an Imax screen, but those seats dont recline, last I spent that money. The concession stand is basic and on the expensive side but arent they all. Overall I would say best theater in Rockland. Love that one can pick their seats when buying tickets.
AMC Palisades 21 Is the absolute WORST possible franchise location you could attend! I’ve unfortunately come to this theater many times because it’s the most convenient near me but, every time we visit there’s always an issue resulting in us not wanting to come back! Today was our final BREAKING-POINT, we are extremely exasperated and dissatisfied from our overall experience. After purchasing tickets at the counter and arriving at the designated theatre number things took a turn for the bad. An hour into the movie there was constant chatter and laughing from a few rows below. Fellow movie goers were also upset and politely asked the group to quiet down. The conversations were everlasting taking up almost the ENTIRE film! Once the movie ended, an argument broke out in the theatre resulting in foul language and threats for both parties. We couldn’t enjoy our perfectly good movie in which we went to speak with customer service. At the customer service desk I expressed our not so good experience from watching the film. The so called manager, Chris was extremely RUDE and OBNOXIOUS. He demanded that we left the movie sooner and therefore there was no way for compensation of any kind! On top of it all he denied to give us an apology due to our fault and lack of communication. After going back and forth about what had happened, we ended up walking away with the corporate number. About 5 feet away from the counter, Chris raised his tone stating “next time you mumble sh*t under your breath, say it to my face!” We were in utter SHOCK and disbelief! We walked back to the counter demanding him to apologize but instead he’d rather snicker with his former coworker which didn’t give me his name. NEVER have I ever seen such unprofessional and uncharismatic staff members! (Note this hasn’t been our only foul experience with staff here before) It pains me to close down my AMC Stubs Member account but we’ve had enough! Coming to this location for over 7+ years we finally decided to not choose AMC theatres no more.(10/15/21)We had a group of four to see the new Halloween Kills movie. Unfortunately we had a rude encounter with the staff at the entrance. As we showed our tickets for the 9:15pm showtime, Ciaara immediately raised her voice demanding us for our ID’s. When informing her that only one in our party had one, she denied us entry. Ciaara had an excessive tone while rolling her eyes and even exclaiming that she couldn’t deal with us and moved on with a new group. We asked to speak with the supervisor in which she ignored our request. There was no need to handle the situation the way she did, without even an apology. We all ended up getting a refund after driving 30+ minutes to see the premiere.
So...shang chi weekend and we had IMAX and popcorn in hand...but the movie theater projector failed. After getting a babysitter and using all this time to get out here and coordinate. They did refund our movie but was barely apologetic. Granted I doubt they had the staff to handle this weekend. I hope they get help if not its going to be refunding a lot of movie goers
I have had some decent experiences at this theater. The popcorn is good and I like their wide variety of movies always playing that you could not get at any other theater.Last time there, I wanted to speak to a manager and no one was even at the desk. That might have been bad luck or during break time, I don’t know.Another thing, they would not refill my popcorn unless I was a stub member?? Usually theaters make things better for the customer not worse. They throw out so much popcorn at the end of the day if someone buys a jumbo popcorn.... then refill it! That’s been the way it is for years. I had to get my friend to prove that they were a member to get the refill and it was a waste of time. They could have just refilled it and helped me out if they wanted to. Granted one woman was very nice and did it right away before. The second time around the worker was stalling. Gotta say this if I pay 15 bucks for a popcorn they best refill it for me. If they don’t, then I’m not coming back.
Nice movie theatre. I really like the seats! Theyre very comfortable and its really nice to just chill out. Besides that, theres nothing really special or interesting. The atmosphere is nice, but it doesnt really blend in to the rest of the mall. The staff seem like they dont really care. They dont check up on the theatres and I think that they should because there are too many loud people every time I go. Dont hate nor reccomend. Its just convenient because of the fact that its next to the mall.
This is our favourite place to watch movies on big screen. The seats are so comfortable and the place itself is super clean. The surround sound and the other effects comes out great and makes the whole movie going experience worth it. the toilets sometime are very dirty and they should look into it to get it clean more often.
Never go here! I chose the handicap seat in the center so I could open up the armrest to make room. ( I have a healthy 425lb frame and need the room) apparently they sold the ticket next to me to some child of a family sitting behind me! The child obviously couldn’t fit but there were no more seats in the theatre, so what do they do? Ask me to stay in my designated seat space! I would if I could but my body type demands more room than the measly 3 and a half feet they provide! I was so embarrassed I left and asked for a refund. The front desk said since 15 minutes of the movie had passed they could only refund me 90% of the ticket price! Outrageous! Don’t go here unless you wanted to be treated like an animal! (Also the pretzels were not warm at all and not a decent size!)
Most comfortable seating I have ever experienced in a movie theater. Cushy leather seats with fully adjustable back and foot rests. So comfortable, you can enjoy a movie even in the front row. Another plus is that you can choose your particular seat in the theater when you buy your ticket. Food and so much a not particularly expensive for a theater plus you can put as much butter as you may want on your popcorn and refill your soda as many times as you want.
I really like this theatre! I was a little weary wondering how packed the movie was going to be, but the fact that you have reserved seats eased my fears. Oh the seats! They are powered to be able to recline and have ample leg room - as a tall person this is always a fear and this place took all my fears away! Definite best. Clean. The employees were full of smiles and looked like they enjoyed their time during my visit. Was my first time at this theatre and it definitely wont be my last!
Comfortable reclining seats in stadium seating fromat. Theater and lavatories are at times dirty. Limited staff with nobody appearing to be in charge. Customer service help could be more pleasant and more accommodating. Self serve ticket machines are frequently broken. Way too many trailers prior to the feature....almost 30min!!!
I just read a review Some white guy asked for my ID when I went to see Suicide squad 2..dont go..Last time I checked its a R rated movie and you have to be 17 or older to see an R rated movie.Sorry its been a theater rule for decades It has nothing to do with him being a White guySad that the race card is played so often when insecure ppl play victim instead of following same rules as others
It was okay. As someone who does not go to the movies often I was surprised that I had to head to the customer service booth the let them know that the movie was supposed to start 15 minutes prior. We were in theater #7 which had electronic recliners which was cool. Very comfortable.
I was in NY visiting family during the release of Aquaman. Decided to go the last showing of the day (12am). The seats are comfy though I was disappointed as they did not offer Dolby Cinema or reclining chairs. The seats were more comfortable than most but not the best. The staff was polite, the theatre was clean. It is located in the top level of a very large mall and takes a while to get up to the theater from the ground level.
LOVE affordable Tuesday matinees as a stubs member!! We made weekly family and friends movies part of our summer fun plan on a budget 😄 why pay full price, ever, for a movie? Also LOVE the reclining, reserved seating. Even the seniors will come along and its safe and comfy in case they doze off 😉*Only complaint is that EVERY time we visit it looks like a small boy has gone from stall to stall in the ladies room peeing at the entrance to each toilet stall. Its pretty gross, but we cant come up with any other explanation for why there are drips down the walls and doors and small puddles of urine at the entrance to almost every stall 😲 Do they never clean this place? The walls and doors all need sanitizing in the worst way 🤢
Place is absolutely disgusting. The bathrooms look like someone wiped dumped a sewer on the floors and wiped it around with a wet mop. Also, they do not allow you to bring in a coffee??? Had security follow us around to make sure we drank our coffee before going in. Tell me how that makes sense. I guess next time Ill get the SPECIAL DEAL which is a large popcorn and soda for $20. Thats a special deal alright. The seats are comfortable at least, when theyre not covered in the last movies popcorn. I think we came at a wrong time, maybe the janitors were just on vacation. Other then that its a good time.
Reserve seating - yea! We picked our seats when we paid for tickets. This is a VERY NICE touch.PROS: Gave me time to go to the concession stand without worrying about finding a seat in front row for popular movies. Seats are comfy. Leather seats with control pad to move feet up and recline far back. Big cup holder. If the movie is boring, you can take a comfy nap!CONS: If youre not in a center seat, you must put your feet down for someone to pass. And controls are not lite in dark lighting unless you touch the pad at the right spot.
It was a great experience. The customer Service was actually great but if I have a bone to pick with this location was they did not have part of the menu available especially hot dogs, sliders and the Bavarian pretzels. On a Friday Evening with customers streaming in, I know all of the items should be ready and available. Hopefully if I go to this location again, everything on the menu will be available.
I like AMC theatres but this one needs a serious update. Couldnt get comfortable because the chair control wouldnt work and I didnt find this out until after the movie had started. I was trapped in a partial feet up back down position and it was a packed house!! I was so disappointed ☹️in my experience there. Liked the movie John wick 3 and look forward to#4.
They are pretty good. Nothing fancy. When it a busy its buys and gets messy but thats a movie theater for you. The seat that I sat in the sensor was pretty bad. It was very flaky on when it wanted to work or not. Which sucked I was Ted to be able to play with the seat till I was comfortable.
Went to see Jurassic movie, and the movie was great. However, customer service was horrible, no smile, nothing. Ive never been to an AMC theater before, and I will only go because of the huge screen. There was NO toilet paper in the womens bathroom, in any of the stalls, except for one. A girl was handing it out to everyone in the bathroom. Overall, the place was clean, and the chairs were completely comfortable. It would be nice if the staff was retrained in customer service, and had someone at the ticket kiosks for first time people who dont know how to use the machines. Other than that, had a wonderful date night.
So many movie options with 21 theater screens, and all with a comfortable reclining seat to boot. All of the recliners are also the adjustable ones you normally find in the AMC Dolby theater screens. So not your average 2 button recliner with 1 part moving (head and feet moving together).. this is a 4 button recliner with 2 parts moving (head, and feet separately) that you can individually tweak. Love this theater. If you found this review helpful or you enjoy clicking on things.. I’d be delighted if you gave it a 👍🏼 like. Cheers 🍻.
Rough experience yesterday afternoon (8/17). Seats were dirty. The screen had two large stains on it. The guys working the concession stand were unprofessional. They asked me if I knew how to make coffee because they didnt know how. (If you dont know how, just say you have none in stock!) They went back and forth to return to the register to tell me I should leave with my two kids and get a coffee from Starbucks. ... I should go to Starbucks and try to SNEAK IN HOT COFFEE in my sweatshirt. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was because the ticket people were nice and the guest services employee was sympathetic when I let her know the theater screen was stained. Please train these kids properly or at least teach them to avoid interactions like the one I experienced.
Watch out your seat!! Sometimes your recliner won’t work for you while watching your movie! Because these automatic recliner seats have dull touch sensor. I couldn’t recline seat at all for entire movie time. It was very uncomfortable and wasting money and time! My husband couldn’t change position either. I have never experienced such like this horrible seat in any other amc theater before! However costomer service gave me free ticket later. Still I’m not recommending this AMC to everyone. I will try to avoid coming back here with my family again.
I am HIGHLY disappointed at the service i received from this theater. During the movie the person next to me answered 2 phone calls, sent multiple text messages (man movie goers were yelling for him to put his phone away) and was playing music through his headphones. I left the theater and went to guest services to express my discontent. I spoke to a young women and man at about 4:30pm and they ensured they would have someone come speak to the man. I even provided them with his seat number but no one came to correct this mans behavior and he received yet another call. I asked him very politely to leave the theater and take the call and he refused. I was very uncomfortable and i was walking out of the theater another man in the first row about 4 seats in lit a cigarette. I was shocked at the behavior of these men and disappointed of the lack of customer service. If someone would have came to speak to the man next to me then it would have not forced me to leave the theater early. I have never been so disappointed at my experience.
I have never been in this theater and seen it anything but clean. Its something I honestly very much appreciate because no one wants to sit on stale popcorn and get gum and old candy stuck to their shoes. The bathrooms are also pretty good as far as public restrooms go.
The best part of this theater complex is that all seats are suoer comfortable. I think (I could be wrong, though) all sests are recliners which allows you to recline with just a switch. Great sound and projection. Being inside a mall allows you access to many eateries and bars right inside.
Besides the little air condition hiccup........ the place is awesome, bathrooms well kept, theatre for the most part neat and I have no complaint customer service took great care of compensation for issue. Customer service was very helpful and polite. Thumbs. If I was the driver I would come to this theatre a lot more like I used to many years ago.
This AMC theater is your average AMC movie going experience. Same concessions, nice recliner seats and reserved seating makes it a overall Good experience. (If watching a movie in IMAX note that the seats do not recline and are not as comfortable as the recliners but it makes up for it in the Huge screen and great sound)
I was really excited to go there, but to me the prices were to high considering that it was a throwback movie. so i went and got food, which was totalling to be $16.00 ., for just a med. popcorn and small drink. I went to the drinks which was pretty cool that i was a self serve machine. I walked in the theatre and i went to go find my seat but there was popcorn piled up in the from the i guess the last movie, so i went to another seat that was empty and it was a journey to get there because the isle was filled with bags and candies and popcorn buckets.worst visit ever, they should at least clean it at least 10 min before the movie starts
I like the new seats which are very comfortable, the prices are fair, good service for the food, but my biggest problem is i dont like the new system they changed recently how people can reserve a seat or more even if theyre not at the theater, its unfair to those whos already at the theater in person. If youre not there to grab the seat you wanted, oh well, its your problem and responsibility, next time be on time, simple is that.
This place would get 0 stars if possible, but 1 is the lowest I can go. My experience here was absolutely horrible, I am not one to run to the race card, but I honestly felt racially profiled, discriminated and mistreated. I want to get into details, but its such a long story. What I will say is that customers should never be treated by management the way this animal of a manager on duty treated me and my son. After being scanned into the theater, sitting down and 20 minutes into the movie is not the time to discuss issues or discrepancies with payment and/or errors with ticketing. It doesnt cost a theater much to accommodate customers for the sake of customer service and repeat future business. This is going to corporate fosure!I never liked this location from the get, I should have gone with my gut feeling, but I will not make this mistake again. Never returning to Palisades AMC Theater again, mark my words, I am pretty stubborn with these statements, so you can count on never getting my business.I will leave it here >>> the manager on duty that night must be a Trump supporter!!! ,👎👎👎
Stadium seating, reclining seats in non-imax, and atom participation keep us coming back. When the seats are also reservable, its even more appealing since it does get a bit crowded at times. The theater is generally well maintained and self-service options are also available for ticket purchases.
Went to see “The Mule” today at 11:00. At first everything was very nice. Staff, ticket purchases and the rest. After 22 minutes of advertising, which is crazy, the movie started. Great movie, totally into it, and with about 10 minutes left the screen went blank and the lights came on. The alarm sounded and said we needed to leave the theater for an emergency. I noted the time. We all left without incident. We were outside the theater waiting for further instruction when an employee came out with a bullhorn and said they were waiting on the fire department to show up and give the all clear. While we were waiting one of the employees said that they would not start the movie where it left off, it would start from the beginning, which is crazy, there was 10 minutes left!!!! They then said that we would be given a refund and a credit to see a movie any time within the next 30 days but this couldn’t be done until the Fire Department came and reset the alarm. This was 25 minutes after the alarm sounded and still no Fire Department!!!!! What FD doesn’t respond to a fire alarm at a movie theater in less than 25 minutes!!! We went to go get lunch and by the end of lunch the theater was open. I wanted a refund and a ticket for a new movie, I was then told only one of those were going to be honored. When I asked for the refund of my money I gave them the receipt of the credit card transaction from their kiosk. I was told that I needed the 3 separate tickets that you hand the ticket taker, I only had 2, don’t know where the other one was. I then said again that I have the transaction receipt showing three tickets were paid for and was denied again. I begrudgingly accepted 3 free tickets for the future and left. While leaving I overheard the change of shift employees talking about having ANOTHER fire alarm, must be a common thing. In summary find an other theater. One that has a properly functioning alarm system, one with a FD that shows up, and one that honors their word and takes care of their frustrated customers who invested almost two hours into a movie but were not shown the last 10 minutes!!!!
The theater was clean. I enjoyed the comfy seat. It wasnt working though. Im still in disbelief about the excessive number of preview AND commercials before the movie...just under a half hour. The staff is shorthanded and overwhelmed. It shows at the concession. The concession prices are crazy. They have a $22. Bavarian pretzel. Which, legitimately, would offend ANY person from Bavaria. Its a 1.5 pound doughy loaf of bread...Stained and salted to further its nastiness. They REALLY needed to visit the Wetzels pretzels just outside the theater doors. Just to see what pretzels are. The lobby layout is awkward...sort of a TSA setup. Not inviting at all. I can go to other places for my movies.
Great movie theater overall but the chairs arent the best. To be honest the chairs are kinda uncomfortable. Other theaters have chairs that you can lay back some and get comfy. The IMAX is cool but when I went to go see US recently the IMAX was a 2d IMAX. Like I said before cool movie theater but needs some improvements/upgrades.
Theater used to be so much better. With the reclining seats, more space is taken up and less people are fit in. With the reserved seating its almost impossible to buy a ticket right before the show and get a good seat. I still havent seen the new Star Wars because every time I went the only seats available were in the front. CORPORATE GREED!!!!!!!!
The theater is conveniently located inside the Palisades Mall (4th floor) and has lots of movie options...in fact, my husband and I came here because they were one of a small few still showing Aquaman two months after its opening date. They have recliners which have become mandatory as far as Im concerned. The recliners were a bit finicky...our chairs required precise pushing in just the right spot before they would even light up so you could see what you were pushing so we thought they werent working at times. Theres stadium seating so no worries about seeing past heads. The line to have tickets scanned went past the entrance to the theater but the line for concessions was moving at the speed of light...there were about 7 people in front of us and we werent even prepared when we heard next, nor were the people behind us when we told them they could go ahead of us. Even though we have lots of closer theater options, we would return due to the mall location with lots of other options to make it a full day.
I can take the bus there with very cheap 3 dollars from my campus.Although the IMAX seats were not that perfect, the seats in the regular theater are very comfy! Really like this theater in this mall with sundry stores. I will always recommend my friends to come here :)
This place has really gone down hill. Not clean. Bathrooms are falling apart. My friend and I spent almost 10 minutes trying the various kiosks right outside of the theater entrance to get tickets to no avail. Finally went inside and asked if there was a problem with them. The young guy at the counter said, Oh, yeah, they dont work. I said maybe they should put a sign up saying as much. He just stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. I will plan on going to another AMC theater in the future. Definitely will avoid this one.
The customer agents are friendly and the food is delicious and warm as long as you get the friendly customer service agent that makes certain the food is made right. There were times when, I encountered unfriendly customer service and my food was cold and not made right. Additionally, this place is highly recommended for matinee prices and as a premiere stub member because, you get the best prices and deals for food and tickets without any of the fees associated with the regular service. I enjoy going there since it is located near a Target so I can get some shopping done while I wait for movie to start and mornings are never busy, so you usually can get the whole theater to yourself so you can relax and watch movies with no distractions from loud noises and bright lights from people and cell phones.
I love coming to this AMC with my friends on Tuesdays. Movies are only $5 on Tuesdays if you have the stubs card. The theater is usually clean and well kept. The only thing I would change is the pricing of their condiments. I am speaking on behalf of alot of people when I say the food is ridiculously overpriced.
Pros: Seats are comfy as hell now they reclinePretty cleanStaff is adequateReserved seats can be niceFood is good, and on par with normal expensiveness (just go to Target beforehand honestly.)Cons: Reserved seats mean harder to buy ticketsBigger, nicer seats mean less room, making it still harder to get ticketsThe ticket machines outside the theatre break down a lot and the line inside is annoying. In conclusion: Overall a good time but the new set-up can be annoying. Plan ahead
You never get a second chance for a first impression.the only two concessions lines were focusing on the premium member customers. didnt acknowledge us regular folk.they were so slow that more people kept coming into the premium line line and they hadnt advanced the regular line at all.eventually one of the two concession workers realized this and asked the other to take one line and he would focus on the premium line.why were they slow. they werent trained.the worker on my line gave the customer before me the wrong quantity of an item, then the wrong change and couldnt open the register to resolve the problem. she needed the other worker to leave his line to help her.I decided to try the gourmetpopcorn.I really didnt think they could screw up popcorn at a movie theater.they did!cold, stale and soggy cheese popcorn. I am so glad I paid extra for this .BTW, I attended an 11 am movie on a Saturday.I am not sure to be happy to pour my own soda and add my own butter to my sons plain popcorn. Or be sad that they cant manage the most basic function of a concession stand. All in favor of up charging for an inferior product.good god I hate to think what would have happened if I tried an item that had to be heated. then you get to stand in another line to wait again for your item.terrible experience..Oh yeah, clean comfortable theater. but that is the minimum expectation. So point deducted for the only variables here.if you want to improve on a tried a true movie going experience. take baby steps. train your staff. and dont try to make it something its not. VIP line at the movies? really!
I became an A-List member back in November, after the whole Moviepass thing went belly up. Havent looked back yet. Went to this theater for the first time on Saturday December 10th, because they were showing advanced showings of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. By the way, fantastic movie, but I digress. The theater had the reclining seats, and boy howdy did that make the movie that much more enjoyable. In fact, I think it may have made it so I go to this theater more often the see movie in pure comfort.
Lots to do in this mall. They have an indoor ferris wheel and a merry go around inside the mall. Plenty of food options. They have three different sections with VR games , which were a lot of fun. Every imaginable shopping you can get done here. AMC has reclining seats that I like! Overall great place to burn time.
Really rating the Imax theater especially and the theater as a whole as a secondary . The chairs in the IMAX are by far and away the worst weve sat in. It made watching the movie we were so excited for highly unpleasant. Wed rather drive 30 mins to Garden State Plaza than ever suffer through that again. Too bad really, all that money spent on renovations to lead to disappointing chairs and mostly non-working soda machines.
I went to AMC at the Palisades 21 Mall for the first time with some friends to see the 8:30pm showing of Avengers:Endgame. Whenordering our food at concessions, you could just tell that it had probably been a LONG day for our cashier. Very blank, dry-non eye contact introduction. We placed our order and waited on the side to pick up. I got the cinnamon pretzel bites and a hot dog, plain. We went in the theatre, got into our seats and I realized that there wasnt any like slide out table or little desk to place your food on. So I thought well not every theater has that available so no big deal. I placed napkins over my lap and placed my food onto the napkins. I began to eat the hot dog and with my first bite realized it wasnt as warm as I hoped. It was, for a lack of a better term, room temperature. I finished that down with my sprite. I began to eat my pretzel bites and they too werent as warm and soft as I hoped theyd be. You can even go as far as to say almost stale. My movie began and I just shared my pretzel bites with whomever would have some and took a handful of popcorn from a friend and ate that instead.
What happened to the comfortable seats??? Terrible expensive tickets and seats are no longer roomy and comfortable. Rows don’t have space in between, if someone in the middle seats needs to get out you have to run 15 knees to get in and out. This place lost a requent customer.
Husband took me here for a date, he paid for the tickets in advance hours ahead. We get to the amc at 7:25 pm when the movie wasnt supposed to start until 7:45pm so we thought we got there just in time to buy some water and get to our seats before the movie could start. We get our tickets from the machine and then wait in line to buy water and chocolate. The line did not move for 20 minutes we noticed there was a different line for members so we asked the cashier “do we have to wait until that line clears so we can buy something in the regular line?” She answers “basically haha”. So basically we gotta pay monthly for rewards so I can buy food/ drinks before seeing the movie? DO NOT COME HERE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Basically we bought tickets in advance to STILL be late to the movies because we are not allowed to bring outside refreshments RIDICULOUS.... If I could give a 0 rate I would.
Bought dinner in palisades at yard house and we had some left overs. Bought a shake for my pregnant wife of 7 months and was going to the theater where i was going to buy popcorn and a drink for myself. AMC required me to leave my wifes milkshake at check in for pick up after the show. The short sightedness of this was mind numbing. AMC cuts staff to make buying snacks, drinks and popcorn unbearable and then resort to these tactics to force people to buy food? I understand the policy. But leaving food unattended breaks all sorts of healthcode violation. The lack of service for a pregnant woman is infuriating. Lack service, lack of respect, lack human decency. I will never come here again. Very mad.
This is my go-to theater in the area. A large cineplex able to exhibit smaller and independent releases on a few of their smaller screens, which I really appreciate. Especially comfortable with large powered reclining seats in all but their IMAX theater. I am an AMC A-List subscriber who sees 3 movies a week in this theater, and am a motion picture production designer so am knowledgeable and picky about movies. I give only 4 stars here because they have an ongoing problem with the quality of their projection. Projector bulbs dim with age and so should be replaced bulbs on a schedule, which they claim they do, but about 1 in 5 visits, the image is has been much too dark. They also often have poorly balanced sound in the IMAX theater, and a problem with lens fogging for the first show of the day during the winter. Note too that the box office is always understaffed and during peak times the lines can be horrendous.
Very disappointing. The seats in the IMAX leave no room for people to get past. Its very dirty and understaffed. 4pm on a Saturday and they only had 3 concession registers open out of 12. They were constantly running out of popcorn and having to stand around and wait for more to made. The line was massive and I missed the first 10minutes of my movie. Im avoiding this location in future, which is a shame given its location and all of the restaurants under one roof.
Watched Bohemian Rhapsody in IMAX there. Best cinema experience Ive ever had. The seats were not reclining in the IMAX, but never the less very comfortable. The food options they have are all very tantalizing and true to cinema cuisine. You have the option to order all your concessions online when booking a ticket online, which I recommend. It saves you tons of time. You walk in scan your ticket and go pick up your order all ready for you. Be sure to use the entrance next to the Best Buy when entering the Palisades Center, its the closest to the AMC.
Had to drive here an extra 45 minutes because the amc in Middletown is seriously a dump. We are deaf/hard of hearing and the CC here works perfectly. It would always skip every other sentence at the other location. The staff is nicer and the seats are more comfortable. Plus, youre in the Palisades mall. Movie experiences dont get better than this.
I usually go to regal cinemas. The regal cinemas in Poughkeepsie/ fishkill/ palisades mall do not have reclining seats. This amc does! It is so cleanly and I liked the idea of having many different drink selections and being able to service myself. The theatre was also very cleanly!
Wost experience ever!!!! Went to watch suicide squad and right when it was getting good, there was no imagine, you can only hear than it stopped. Like come on!!!!!!!! The process to get our refund or a free pass was horrible, it took for ever, rude workers didnt know what there were doing. Than they come out with some bull s***t that we cant have the refund. It sucks this happen because it is a good movie theater.Unhappy customer for sure...
Been going to this theater for years out of convenience because the next 12+ theater was over half an hour away. Being in the Palisades Mall one could always count on low life mall rats to be sitting next to or behind you making noise and kicking seats...a Palisades Mall Perk. Now the theater replaced all but one of their cashiers and all tickets are now sold by kiosks which are painfully slow when they work and break down frequently, almost exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays, so be prepared to spend half an hour to get your tickets. And now with their pre-assigned seating option if you dont plan your movie choice a day ahead you will arrive and find your group cant sit together...even if you got there early. Human cashiers and first come first served seating may be archaic but it works a lot better than their system. If you are a grown up and want to enjoy a stress free evening at the movies then run, dont walk, away from the AMC Palisades 21 and the Palisades Mall in general, go anywhere else and you will be much happier!
I would give a zero. The staff is so irresponsible and immature. The managers do nothing about it. There are constantly staff members standing around at the customer service booth. Again, doing nothing and just talking or texting. Im constantly waiting forever for an attendant to either help at concessions because theyre too busy texting or waiting for someone to stock supplies.
Its exactly what a movie theater should look like, starting with the first when you come in, the smell of fresh popcorn, tasty, clean restrooms, comfortable reclining chairs, nice big projectors, and so on, I only have good experiences with them go ahead and check it out tonight!!👍🙏🥳🤩
Confronted by a gun-toting security guard after I bought the tickets and tried to enter. Very rudely asked me what was in a small white paper bag I was carrying even after I repeatedly answered him. Upon being told I had sandwiches, was informed of their policy of no outside food allowed. Amazingly the guard then demanded that I go off to the side & eat the sandwich right them & there. Repeated reminders that my show had already started had no effect. I asked that they refund my ticket & they then enlightened me about another iron-clad policy of no refunds. So here i was intimidated by an armed guard, holding a bag of sandwiches, & with my show already started. Manager was called out who basically repeated the iron-clad rules slightly more politely than the gunslinging hot-shot. Finally told them there was no way I was going to gobble down my sandwiches & offered to throw them in the trash. At this point I also informed them that I was a regular customer & that the ticket seller recognized me. But nothing seemed to have any effect. After all they already had my money, customer satisfaction be damned. Ended up throwing the sandwiches in a trash can in front of them & going in for the show which I was barely able to sit thru given the nasty, unpleasant experience.

2022-01-04The AMC Palisades 21 is a wonderful movie theater located at the Palisades Center in West Nyack, New York.In December of 2021, during the holiday season, I brought and treated my wife and myself to watch the Spider-Man:No Way Home at the AMC Palisades 21.The Spider-Man movie was absolutely phenomenal, and the performance of the cast as well as the film’s storyline was indeed captivating!!!What my wife and I enjoyed about the AMC Palisades 21 was the room used to showcase the film. Our room came with very comfortable seating, recliner based chairs and provided its guests with great access to the screen. The audio settings in our room was also solid. We also loved the meal and beverages that I purchased at the theater and were deeply impressed with the promotional displays of up and coming films.Another great thing to point out about the AMC Palisades 21 is its close proximity to the dining and shopping establishments of the Palisades Center. Both my wife and I give a huge 2 thumbs up to the AMC Palisades 21 and recommend that moviegoers visit this theater!!!

2022-06-21This movie theatre has the worst nacho cheese ever. It is incredibly salty and I couldn’t eat more than 3 nachos with cheese. The other problem about this movie theatre are the seats. They are really comfy but the touch screen controls are such a pain. I had to really touch it hard with my fingers and it wouldn’t light up and turn on. The movie quality was good and the sound was good.

2022-03-02Decided to go to a movie in the middle of the day after purchasing snowboard bindings at another store. All the seats recline, which is nice. And even though the theatre isn’t the cleanest or newest one you’ll find, there is plenty of space. And lots to do before and after. They were very accommodating when we had to go back into the theatre a bit later to find our car keys lost in the seat lol.

2022-05-26This is my preferred theater in the area. The seats recline & are super cushy, making for a really comfortable experience. Its always clean. The staff are friendly & helpful. They have great member programs with lots of benefits. Its really easy to book tickets online & order food in advance. Tickets are cheaper on Tuesdays.

2022-05-09I liked that this theater had the comfy recliners with stadium seating which meant that no one blocks your view. The concessions area is a little crazy and the lines are super long. It’s great if you have the A-list membership. We were able to bypass about 50 people waiting in line to go to the very front of the A-list priority line so we didn’t miss our movie.

2022-03-31I was just turned away from an AMC Palisades 21 movie theater because of a computer error my Alist membership information was not allowing me to purchase a ticket but it showed I am a member and have the premium Alist pass. What made it even more disappointing was the general manager refused to even speak to me to try to rectify the situation or provide his name to me. The only thing I can think of is because I’m black I’m not worthy of explaining a error on AMC’s part. When the workers at the theater agree with my assessment. So if you are a minority or just black if the GM is there you more than likely won’t get good if any service with issues.
