I want to say that the Manager Chris (Washington Ext store) was wonderful. He answered all our questions and when they didn’t have in stock what we picked out he worked out a deal with us with a similar machine!He was polite, patient and understanding.This was my 3rd purchase from this store and I will return in the future. Thank you!🙂
So our experience with American freight was 100% the complete opposite of most of the reviews I’ve read on here.We visited the store several times over the past several months and were helped every single time. We were going back and forth deciding if we wanted to get a new fridge or not.Last week we decided to go ahead and make the purchase and the whole experience was great. We had the fridge delivered and they did a great job!!! We’ve only had the fridge for a day, but so far it’s running well. We will definitely return to American freight in the future.
I bought a microwave and had it installed by a professional. It worked for 3 days then stopped working. I called the store multiple times to speak to someone about getting it fixed or have it replaced but no one answered. I finally went back to the store with my receipt and was told they changed their database for receipts and that Id have to wait 24-48 hours for the main office to send that information back to the store. Im fed up... its been a few days and after more unanswered calls and texts still no response from them.I dont recommend shopping there. Just go to the home depot next door. It will save you time, money, and fewer hassles if things dont work out.
This has been, hands down, the worst experience we’ve ever had! As longtime sears customers, it’s safe to say, “We’re done!”My husband purchased a new stove and refrigerator on Nov 4. Delivery was scheduled for the following Monday. No time frame for the day was provided. Monday comes, he waits for them, and they deliver the refrigerator, but NO STOVE! We live 45 minutes away from the store. We try to reach the store all week and call the corporate number. All we receive is a run around and “the manager will call you”.Fast forward to the following Sunday, still no call, so we drive to the store and speak to the assistant manager. He claims the stove will be delivered the next day. Great! We call in the morning to confirm delivery and are told it will be there in the afternoon. We wait ALL DAY and NO STOVE!This morning (Nov 19) I called the corporate number and am told the store manager will call me later today. No one calls. So I call corporate again and tell them I want to return the fridge and cancel my sale. This is ridiculous! So they put me on hold to transfer me to the correct line and I get disconnected!Now it is 2am and I can confirm my suspected feeling that the freezer on the refrigerator isn’t working! So we had to pull out thawed meat, veggies, and fruit that has spilled all over the place.This has been THE WORST!
Joe was super helpful! He spent time discussing various stove model, helped with my final selection and carefully wrapped all the piece up. I never bought an appliance from an outlet before but needed to be able to take something home that evening...this was definitely the place to go!!! This store will be my go-to place next time an appliance craps out.Thank you, Joe!!!
I have been on and off hold with customer service 1.5 hours today (not including all the other days I’ve wasted time with them). After 1.5hrs I have been connected with 6-8 people (lost count!) who ask me my name and verify my information and then put me on hold. After hold, I am connected with somebody new and the cycle repeats.Reason for calling: My applicance did not work after I picked it up and plugged it in. Initially the store told me to contact manufacturer. Manufacturer sent somebody out who noted that the damage is not covered because it ‘looks like somebody in the store dropped it’. I paid $1000 for a 4 year old appliance that doesn’t work and stayed home from work today to have a service person tell me it’s not covered for warranty. Now I have spent all day (5pm now) on hold and getting NOWHERE!Infuriating.
Was my all time favorite store...July 2019 bought a scratch n dent refrigerator... Got it home lost ALL my food and my kitchen floor was soaked with water. They replaced it with another one that was in the same shape as the first, same thing happened. On my third replacement which finally works. But no one will make good on the $1300 in damage their cosmetic damage caused. Store manager tried to do all he could
Thought I got a great deal on an adjustable bed. Got it home and unboxed to find 2 pieces to 2 different beds. Had to bring one piece back to get the right half. Then missing the bar that holds the mattress on. Also bought a bed in a box decided I didnt want to keep it NEVER OPENED tried to return was met with attitude and told they do not do returns. I asked about store credit and was told they dont do that either. He said either pick out something else or there is nothing they can do. Tried to contact corporate was told the phone number is only for online orders. Fill out a complaint online and someone will get back to me. I am do aggravated and disappointed in this store. It should be posted ALL SALES ARE FINAL!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! I would give them a negative if I could!#!
Purchased a fridge over a month ago and I’ve been getting the run-around ever since about the delivery date. I’ve been given a delivery date four times and still have not received it. Don’t waste your time buying anything here that has to be delivered. They’ve been giving me the same story for over a month: “we have switched to self-delivery and we will call you in a few days for a delivery date”. I’d rather pay extra elsewhere for better customer service.
We stopped in a few times looking for a washer and and dryer for a modular home we purchased. Joe was patient and very knowledgable about the machines and explaining the different options available to us. We were able to a washer and dryer and have them delivered to us in a little bit over a week. I was skeptical about buying a warranty but our salesman explained about yearly maintenance they will do on our machines to help the last longer. I thought was great. They had some awesome furniture options we were looking at too. Ill be back to see Joe when we buy new furniture and more appliances. He made the process easy and painless and will be someone I reccomend to friends and family.
I went to the outlet to purchase a washing machine on Tuesday. It took forever to get help to purchase the one I wanted and the sales associate kept leaving me to work with other people. When I finally had everything set, they were supposed to deliver on Saturday. That morning, they called to tell the person accepting the delivery for us that the power cord was damaged (it was not previously damaged, I have photos). They did not contact us, and when we found out, they could not deliver that day, even though we had someone take time to be home. We rescheduled for Monday. I did not get a call the night before, and when I called to get a time this morning, they told me that the truck had broken down and they had no plans to deliver today. I went in to process my refund, and discovered I wasnt on the schedule at all, so I wouldnt have gotten the washer today anyway. While processing my refund, the associate was coming up incowith completean entirely different total lower than what I had paid. The complete incompetence is baffling.
Never Ever shop there although they promised to replace the snowblower I bought that didnt work almost a week later and after being hung up on by Joe Myers a rude clerk there still waiting to see if the manager will keep his word and replace the snowblower on Monday. Thankfully My Wonderful Neighbor Jim plowed the Neighborhood sidewalks and let Me use His machine.Think twice before you spend your money at American Frieght.Kaiser Lexie and RNAMASTE
I’ve Been Working For This Company For 4 Years. This Company Just Goes Around Buying Names. When They Changed From Sears Outlet To American Freight They Have Went Downhill. The Appliances Are Tested Before They Come However, Products Always Come Back & Don’t Work. Delivery Is In Shambles & Customer Service Will Decrease Now That I’m Not There. Ya Have Got To DO BETTER !!
I went in to buy a wash machine , March 31st and Adam was the employee that had helped me , he had an extremely nice personality and very knowledgeable. All whiling training another new hiree . I would strongly recommend asking for Adam if you need any help , you will not be disappointed. Excellent review for you Adam , you made my day , all people working in customer service should be trained by you!!!
Read many negative reviews before going to the store. I can see why though our experience was mostly positive. Walk in an you will not be jumped by salesmen. Actually we checked fridges and stoves for 30 minutes alone then had to find sales staff to write it up. Took a while but once we did Dayna was very courteous and helpful. She could have not been anymore helpful and made sure we had a good experience.
Paid for items with a specific day and date for merchandise to be delivered and after a no call no show, I was informed that I want put on the manifest for delivery. I tried to get an alternate date and was told I’d have to establish another day causing me to lose time at work. I wasn’t given any further information and after calling repeatedly on the day I was promised another delivery date, the staff rejected all my calls. Needless to say the staff is unprofessional and I plan one taking this matter to the top as well as steering other clients away from their services.
Two weeks ago I purchased a dryer from sears scratch and dent. I was told it was brand new and only had a scratch on it so I bought it. When I got it home I noticed the 4 service stickers. I installed it even after being lied to. I had to take 2 days off and spend $100 on conversion parts and 2 service calls before they tell me that it CANNOT be fixed. Someone before me had it converted to propane. The manager, Ken, told me he would give me a replacement one at a discounted rate. I got to the store and returned my dryer and they want to charge me MORE For the replacement dryer... at this point they should be giving me the dryer for my inconvenience. Ive had to take 2 days off from work, had to grab my laundry out to be done waiting for them to fix it. And arrange to have it picked up and dropped off 2x. This is far from the customer service I expected from sears.
I have had 2 great shopping experiences here and I’ll be back. I appreciate good customer service, that is my profession. They reflected excellent customer service while shopping and checking out. Tried to buy a fridge here 3 times. First time their gift card system was down. Zeroed my gift card but didnt apply it to my order. Came back the next day when the system was back and the gift card still showed zero. The manager called the support line and I was told to wait 6 days for my gift card balance to come back. I come back a week later and they begin processing my order... Then their internet connection goes down. Turns out their network admin was making changes to the network and didnt know how to get the internet back. Waste of time and gas
Purchased a snowblower online and had it shipped to this location. It was delivered where it was supposed to as stated on my order. Good at this point. Then this is where it goes not so good. I get a call from the store asking if I want the warranty, for which I already declined on my order...... I do arrive at the store 7 days after my order was delivered. The season for the delay was that I never received call/email that I was supposed too receive to let me know it had been delivered. I called the store and inquired. I arrive at the store and stand at the counter where 2 employees are looking something up on a kiosk next to the regester, backs turned. I wait. After a few mintes they finally turn to realize they have a customer and inquire what I need. I explain that I called the other day verifying that it was delivered by some one at this location and never received received email confirmation. Rookie mistake and not getting name and details of who I spoke to. He asks for a number identifing my order which I again explained I never recevied. They find my order via last name. He sends a colleague to pull my oder and he comes out with a fully assembled snowblower and my order stated that it will remain in carton. Even says that on the paperwork that was taped to it. Then hands me paperwork to sign for it. I refuse take the pen, but instead ask for tools to now disassemble to get in my my SUV. The online information gave dimensions and I knew it would fit if it reamined in carton. They come back with a handfull af random wrenches and a screw drivers. Thank goodness there was a 1/2in wrench and the rest of thr fasteners were cotter pins. I get it out to my SUV, disassemble it, and get it loaded with help atleast. Prices are what drew us in. Scratch and dent...no big deal. What IS a big deal...the terrible wait for furniture delivery. We are in a new house 3 whole weeks still waiting for 2 couches and a recliner to be delivered. We ordered our items the end of april...i basically had to beg for the things i paid for. 2 items are supposed to be delivered tomorrow...only God knows when i can expect my 3rd item because not a single person at that building can ever give a straight answer. The female manager made this delivery happen...shes the only one who helped my situation at all. Unfortunately, she alone can not save that place. RIP sears, you suck.
I ordered a recliner a month ago and hadnt heard from them. So I call them to find out that the recliner is no longer being made and that they had 2 in the store. But they had other people who order before me and they were going to go to them. They however said that they were going to order me a different chair that was more expensive. So i went online and looked and and saw that they still had that chair online. So the next day I call the store and ask them what chair is it that I am getting he said you can look on amazon and its xyz chair. I said you guys still make this chair. He says its $202 to ship it to your house. So now im in the process of getting a refund.
Horrible Service. Ordered an Oven on Jan 11th, Its now Feb 2nd and the oven has still not been delivered. You cant get answer out of anyone. Both in store and customer service is horrible. The store Manager Chris is no help at all. Said he tried to bend over backwards to help, yet he said there was nothing he could do
Don’t believe these people. If you want scratch and dent and closout for a good price and adaquit service this place rocks!!. If you want top shelf service and product by all means pay retail. After you complain about a mark on it I’ll go buy it for a huge discount suckers.
Excellent customer service especially from the salesperson -Sean who assisted me with purchasing a washer/dryer. Will definitely recommend others to go to this store and be assisted by him as he made this purchase so much easier by answering all of my questions thoroughly
So many things are not priced. When we asked to get prices, we were helped, but prices were outrageous for the damaged goods! Looking online, I saw what we were looking for so much cheaper than in store. Do your research before making the trip...we drove an hour and returned home empty truck...
Pretty obvious Sears is in a death spiral. We went clothes washer shopping. In order to get a salesperson to answer any questions, I had to walk into the managers office and drag him on to the floor.We found a model that they had cheaper at the home depot in the same shopping plaza, and it didnt have the massive gouge across the front that the sears floor model did. When I asked about any further discount or price match, he mentioned only that I could get another 10% for Presidents Day promotions. But of course, delivery is $81.99, regardless if theyre hauling your old appliance away. Home Depot delivers for free, and only charged me $15 to haul away the old one.This company will only be interested in getting as much from your pocket as possible until they finally liquidate the rest of the assets. If you want to buy something from Sears, just wait until your local store closes later this year.
This store has HORRIBLE Service. I agree with the past review. Avoid at ALL costs. I spoke with one of the employees that claimed to be a Store Manager: Brian (sales ID 9902). Even before he could hear what I was calling about, he yelled at me through the phone, talked over me when I was speaking in a calm manner, and told me that I needed to stop talking and listen. He then refused to give his identification number because he knew he did something wrong. When I was persistent in asking for it, he hung up on me. Every time I call the store and ask for a store manager I get him, and he hangs up. I have been waiting on a refund from this store for a product that was NEVER delivered to me for the past 17 days!
Rescheduled delivery never happened 3 times even though every time a representative said that it was all set. Had to adjust to live without a fridge for a while. Don’t know if the scheduling process is very complicated at the store or people don’t know what they are doing.
Wish I could give less than 1 star. They failed to deliver an item I had ordered and waited for over 3 weeks. When I call the store, they don’t pick up and when I went to the store to get my refund, the manager had the balls to say out loud that it wasn’t them that it was the delivery team.... good management Lady.
I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator at the Sears Outlet atCrossgate Commons. I was blown away by the care and service offered by the Stock Manager; James (Tony). My fridge was kept for me safely, and Tony took special care to describe delivery and walk me through every process. If you shop there, be sure to enlist his help with your product!
Horrible service, avoid at all costs!Have been no-showed for the delivery of my refrigerator for three consecutive thursdays in a row. Was told five different stories where my fridge was, only to be later told it has never left the store.Lies and avoidance, never going back. Still dont have my fridge.

2022-07-10Went in to purchase a sofa & loveseat seat advertised on their website. Was in the store for over 20 minutes, sales people sitting behind the desk, not greeted. When I approached one of them, he told me that the set I was interested in was not available in Albany, just Connecticut. Even when I showed him that I narrowed my search to the Albany stores. He offered no further assistance. He was rude & definitely didnt want to make a CASH sale at all.I bought my entire living room set from another store that same day, better quality & less expensive.

2021-01-19Do not ever buy from them! I purchased a Kitchen Aide refrigerator from them last week on a Sunday. It was delivered on a Tuesday. It was filthy! Spent almost 3 hours cleaning it inside and out.Wednesday morning no ice was made. By 10 am on Wednesday the water dispenser was no longer working. Tried calling the store all morning with no answer. Finally drove over to have them come pick this up and get my money back. Yes almost 3k!Get to store to be told too bad so sad cant pick up till next week Monday!I explained that I have 2 elderly people living in the house and this refrigerator is blocking everything. The manager said oh sure we will try to get there tonight or tomorrow.They did not. I have had this refrigerator sitting in my kitchen for 6 days! The safety hazard it is, sickens me. This company does not care! Does not care!!!!!They wont give me my money back till they get the refrigerator. I cant shop for a new fridge till I get that money back! They took our back up refrigerator. Thank God I had them leave the old refrigerator in the kitchen so we had a working fridge!This company is a con and a scam! They sell very filthy products that dont work. Do not buy from them!UPDATE: They finally pick up the fridge. I was in the middle of making dinner. They left mud all through my front door, stairs and kitchen. When I brought it to their attention, the gave a shrug, oh sorry. Then they left my front storm door open.

2019-04-24Initially, it was the low prices that drew us in since we were in the market for a new couch. We settled on a dark brown sectional couch that was to be delivered brand new to our apartment. The sectional was not only delivered as completely wrong pieces with a regular couch and a chaise section, but both pieces were different colors (gray and brown) and each had knife-cut holes in them, please see attached pictures to see how ridiculous this was. A replacement couch was ordered for us but after a week of waiting for an ETA for the replacement, we decided to cancel our entire order since it was frustrating not knowing when we would be receiving the new couch, all while having two damaged, different colored, mismatched couch sections sitting in our living room. Our return/cancellation process went very smoothly however. But very disappointing experience overall. We went elsewhere to purchase a couch.

2018-08-27The furnitures I saw here were really classy with great deals too. It’s certainly a return visit. The workers are also very friendly and helpful. There’s wheelchair accessible entrance and parking for the differently able. This branch of SEARS is pretty close to the road and can be easily seen from a car in normal traffic.
