A great place for friends, families and neighbors to enjoy strong summer breezes while waiting for the sun to set on the horizon.
Its a beautiful pier. Just make sure your not afraid of seagulls lol. Ferry service is prompt and extremely relaxing and cooling in summer days and nights. I love it!!
So cool! Its a pigeon haven! There are always groups of men fishing. I have yet to see them catch anything. You can also get on the Water Ferry from here to other parts of the city. This is the terminal for Bay Ridge on the South Brooklyn line. The sights are pleasant in the day and twinkling at night with all the building lit up on the other side of the bay.
Nice pier was just too cold to fish on Sunday. Besides the blistering wind all in all a beautiful place to chill and fish.

People come to fish here. It’s a nice breezy break if you were jogging or cycling. There is also a stop to take the ferry that takes you to dumbo!

Nice chill place to hangout and view the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Staten Island, the New York bay, Jersey City, lower Manhattan, and passing ships. During the good weather it can sometimes get crowded. Most of the time, there are fishermen here, Ive seen them catch sharks on multiple occasions.
Nice views and a ferry stop connecting you to the rest of the city (its a terminal stop so only one way to go - grab the first ferry you see if thats what youre here for)

Its a great spot to hang out and enjoy the view. big bonus: ferry station. big con: the seagulls. they are a little aggressive. 2/10 do not recommend for food unless theres a relatively large group of people to keep them scared away.

Beautiful place beautiful scenery..... You can fish or just sit and relax and watch the lovely view of the city, the statue of liberty and staten island, and the boats as they cross under the bridge..... I just love it there.....

This place is very nice for a stop during a walk or bike ride around the neighborhood. The views of the Manhattan skyline are phenomenal. They have a NY ferry station that takes you to other stops in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. The pier itself is a bit dirty but that shouldnt deter you from visiting it.
Knives place for relax in the great View
Great find! Not the cleanest pier but the least restrictive and simpliest. People fish off the pier and the benches are big enough for entire families to sit and enjoy the breeze off the river. Quaint pier with beautiful views of the bridge and lower Manhattan!
Go here and take the ferry if you’re in NYC. The scenic ride along the water from Brooklyn to DUMBO and the Financial District is the best. I just wish the boats are more frequent. It’s still very much worth it. Dress appropriately during cold weather!

Has the most amazing views
In the summer time it is great, in the winter, too cold.You can jog by the water, they do need to put in new lights on the jogging path. and fix the pot holes, mostly at the bike lanes.At night time you have a view of the city.

Nice pier that is always facing multiple yachts that come around it and take a swim in the warm waters of the basin it is located in. Good place to take your kIds fishing, also has a step ladder down to the water so that you can climb back up after jumping off the pier. Doesnt get better then that.

Beautiful views of Battery Park and Verrazano bridge, especially at sunset. Great place to hang out with friends/family. Next to bike trail that runs alongside Hudson River (past Verrazano bridge).
A nice view during the day and night, many people would fish here and come here to hangout and sit , there is a ferry station here that you can take to get to wall. st in Manhattan ( South Brooklyn nyc ferry ) theres also a bike lan you can ride along the shore all the way to bay parkway ( estimate about 1 hour and a hlaf to walk and about an hour to bike , be advice that when walking by the shore line , bring water and shade , cause itll be really hot during the summer , be safe out there from heat stroke.
From this pier you get a great view of the Verrazano, Staten Island, Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn (especially at sunset). There are picnic tables and tiny tables on the railing for fishermen to use to cut their bait. Its along the 5K run/bike trail so its a great place to take a break, sit on a bench and people watch.

The view is absolutely beautiful. You can see the Manhattan skyline along with other views on the area. Great place to visit if you would like to have a picnic.
Wonderful rollerblading and or skating option... One a nice day you can start here and bike or blade all the way down the promenade, under the Verrazano Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in North America!!
Great place to fish, ride your bike, bring a meal, relax and watch the sunset. Mostly locals go there, but if youre in the neighborhood, its worth the time to stop and visit.

You can catch the ferry to Manhattan or many places in Brooklyn.
Its a nice place for everyone to see a sunset and spend some time in thoughts. Sometimes overcrowded. The pier is also very close to park.
Fish guts everywhere. . can find a spot to walk up to the rail anymore..... It really is getting worse every year.... Its disgusting... I dont mind people fishing .... But theyve overun the entire pier.. No one cleans up after themselves... Its such a shame..no respect for your neighbors or the beautiful pier . Great views .... Wish everyone could enjoy them..... And who would eat those fish anyway .. Yuck ....

Located at one end of the Belt Parkway Promenade is wide pier when the locals could catch fish or catch the sunset. There is a nice view of skyline of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty north of the pier. And nice view of the span of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. This is also a nice rest stop if youre a runner or cyclist doing the 5K stretch of the promenade. There is occasionally food vendors on this pier and very limited restaurants in the area unless you want to hike to 3rd Ave.
Great pier.. nice and clean, good fishing and can come with family and spend a few hours just hanging out.. there is also a ferry along with great views.. I give it a 👍
Must becareful of the illegal motorized bicycles and scooters zig zagging around the people. Keep your kids close.
Spectacular View picnic tables and benches. also is the terminal for the Bay Ridge Ferry. It also is the entrance to the Bay Ridge walk and bicycle path along the bay. Shortcoming is typical for Bay Ridge as a lack of parking available. Oh well

Id go there for 40 years. Spectacular view, very relaxing place ,benches with picnic tables people fishing ,stress relieving place and the NYC ferry right there to take you to the city for a Mta fare.
Me and my buddy went to grab some food, drove our bikes out and spent a few hours here. Grew up in brooklyn and oddly enough this is my first time coming here. Couple of people were dressed for st. Patricks and a bunch of joggers were walking along side the water.
One of my favorite places in New York because its quiet and relaxing. Most importantly, its never crowded. Just a great place to sit and collect your thoughts.

The views of Manhattan and back on Brooklyn warrant a five star rating. Soaking up the older fisherman vibe here is a plus, but the lack of a bathroom and the fish pieces everywhere (not on the designated cutting boards) is a definite minus.
A really nice outdoor place to check out this summer. It is located right at the end of 69 st. and Shore rd in Brooklyn. Next to the Verrazano bridge. There is a very long runway to walk, bike or skate from this memorial pier to to the Verrazano bridge. It is about 4 miles long.
Nice place for a walk by the pier. The bike path is great to go to the shopping center at the end. I think in the middle of the path needs fixing it is cracked up the path and bumpy.
Good place to relax, fish just chillax, also the ferry stops there you could get a token and have a boat ride if you wish.
Has a water taxi stop at the far end corner. Very nice views of Staten Isld, NJ & Manhattan. Has a couple of tables and theres usually an ice cream truck near by.
This waterfront area is beautiful and wonderful to walk around. Its great for kids and dogs. Only problem its hard to find parking in this area.
Great location to see the sunset at and very nice people you can catch people fishing here as well.

The pier is located on the East Hudson River where Sully landed the plane. The pier is dedicated as a memorial to veterans. It also has a Brooklyn Remembers monument on the pier for the 911 Firdt responders.
Its a beautiful place with a nice park in south. Good for bikers, runners and to fish.

2022-06-20Good place to hangout in summer nights. It gets crowded at times. Good place to get view of lower Manhattan and jersey city skyline. In summer time, you will find ice cream truck standing at the entrance of this pier incase you want to eat something or drink. You can walk from this pier to all the way to Verrazano bridge and beyond. Many people do fishing on this pier which make it difficult to access all the area of this pier.

2022-02-14Great area for ocean front views in Bay Ridge. Nice place to sit and catch the breeze as well as to sit and view the ships going in and out of New York harbor. Also a great place to start your walk, run our bike ride along the waterfront bike path and Greenway.

2021-06-09This pier is excellent for sunset. You can view the Manhattan skyline or the Verrazano bridge in the distance. Its also a shipping lane to observe various size boats heading for our local ports. Families enjoy the vast area along with the nearby park, Owls head. The only downside is the wastewater treatment plant, which is downwind from the pier.

2022-06-10Its a nice place to relax, enjoy the breeze and view. After night falls however you get kids loitering about smoking weed and a slew of people fishing which at times leaves the place littered with garbage. My guess is that there must be a dedicated clean up crew since it never seems to build up and is clear the next day thankfully.

2022-03-09Spent a few hours at this pair was awesome peaceful and windy there is a water ferry at the end of the pier I dont know the places it goes but I did see a bunch of young kids walking towards it so I know kids use it and you can see staten island across the water

2020-10-11Really nice views of the Manhattan skyline, New Jersey, Governors Island, the Verrazano Bridge, Staten Island, New York harbour. Its also a good place to watch fireworks on July 4th. The pier also hosts a ferry stop that stops several be places in Brooklyn before its last 2 stops in Manhattan. Many people fish here and there are picnic tables which are nice for a lunch. The city skyline at night is also great from here. The bike/walking path that passes by at base of the pier leads to Owls head park northbound and to the Verrazano Bridge by heading south.
