We have been customers of AMHAC for over 13 years and they have been great for us. We took bids for centrally air conditioning our 300 year old home and AMHAC did a fantastic job at the best price. We love this company!
Con Ed shut off our gas due to the detection of a leak mid-January. Amhac was able to come next day and remained responsive and committed until we could get back our gas service and heat and hot water. The individual plumbers who came to the house were on time and professional especially Elvis. Pat who oversaw the job made sure the paperwork was filedAnd coordinated with Con Ed. Excellent professional service. Highly recommended
I wanted to make sure our A/C systems are working well as we head into the summer. So were glad we chose AMHAC to perform an A/C system inspection. Diego E. came to our house and inspected both our condensers, looked at the coolant levels and made sure the systems were working as they should. He was on time, professional, efficient, and patiently answered our questions. I would definitely recommend Diego and AMHAC to my friends.
Our boiler stopped working on a Sunday morning. We called and were asked if we could wait until Monday for service as the charge is greater on a weekend. Waited until Monday. Serviceman, Jamal, called before arrival that morning and arrived clad in a mask and put on booties. Jamal was polite, asked good questions, diagnosed and fixed the problem. Before departing, Jamal explained a couple of points of concern to keep an eye on. Something we appreciated as we have never had a home with a boiler before. We will definitely use AMHAC again.
Recently had a maintenance check up with another company which resulted in malfunction 24hrs after their visit. We next contacted AMHAC for assistance and they were exceptional! Came to the site multiple times, called in advance, ordered parts. Even came ahead of appointment time to make sure they were not missing anything! Technicians were very well mannered, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Overall, fantastic job and customer service, we were able to get our heat back! We will continue with their service moving forward. Highly recommend this company.
Very professional service. Janet provided great service on the phone to keep me informed on part I needed for my unit. Technician Desmond arrived fixed and sat in my attic for an hour making sure the heat upstairs in my house worked. Gave me information on what he did in simple terms. Everything runs great and couldn’t be more happier. I have used AMHAC for many years and they come on time and finish the job. Highly recommended.
This is my first time using AMHAC services. The technician was very courteous and knowledgeable. He carefully checked and cleaned our systems, explained every detail, made some recommandations and changed the parts that needed to be changed. A very good first impression.
AMHACs technician Jamal has given us excellent service for our heating system. He has always been professional, and he has answered all of our questions thoroughly. Also, his repairs have been very effective. He is a delight to work with.
We have had a contract with AMHAC for many years now and every time we need their help they respond immediately. We just recently replaced one of our two AC units and the entire process was taken care of within a few days. From immediately sending someone over to assess the situation, to getting us exactly what we needed very quickly, to sending over incredibly professional (and nice) workers, our experience with them was outstanding. I have been using AMHAC for my annual furnace and air conditioner turn one and tune ups. The technicians are always on time, clean up and have always gone above and beyond to help with little things such as changing humidifier filters and giving tips to keep things running efficiently. Happy to have service providers like this that you can trust!
Needed ductwork replaced and new zoning installed in a tight crawl space. AMHAC beat the competition not only in cost, but also responsiveness and length of time they needed to be on the job site. I called a lot of places and they stood out as the ones good for actual installation rather than simple servicing. Clearly the most sophisticated in the area. Our design engineer was Mohan who was great and incredibly responsive. No hesitations in recommending.
I had no heat and my regular heating and ventilation service man was not available. The temperature in the house was 44 degrees. I asked my plumber and he recommended AMHAC. I called early in the day and by the afternoon, Santiago and Legenry came and fixed the problem and ordered the part. They were both cordial and explained the situation and answered my questions. I was very pleased especially that I have not used AMHAC before and I did not know what to expect. Janet who made the arrangements for me and followed with a phone call was equally helpful. A technician came to my house to repair my furnace. He arrived on time and found the problem right away. He was polite and answered any questions that I had. I’ve used AMHAC in the past and I’m very pleased with their service!
Our hydra-coil heating system recently stopped working in the midst of this very cold weather. As a result we were without heat on the second level as well as hot water in the house. The lovely people at AMHAC responded immediately to our request for help. They came out within an hour for an after hours call and diagnosed the problem immediately and did they’re very best to secure a part for us and get it in stalled within a short period of time. Our customer service agent Janet worked diligently with us and kept us apprised of the part’s delivery status frequently. We felt like we received VIP service and are very grateful. We will definitely continue to use AMHAC as our HVAC service provider.
We have been using AMHAC to service our home’s A/C and heating units for over twenty years. Joe was at our home today in Greenwich to check an issue we were having with our upstairs A/C. Once he determined the problem he tried various ways to fix it.He was very thorough and communicated very clearly. Before leaving our house, he also checked all the radiators as well. We would recommend AMHAC to anybody.
We have been a customer of AMHAC for almost 20 years. They are a fantastic company. Whether for a maintenance call or installing a new HVAC unit they are responsive, courteous and professional technicians.
Update - they did reach out after I posted my review, and met with us to discuss salvaging the business relationship.-----A five month saga to have mini splits installed and to receive proper billing. Many issues with installation, including installing tubing in front of a door so the door couldnt open more than halfway. They also installed the wrong circuit breaker, which would have prevented the unit from working properly. They didnt insulate at least one of the units properly, so in addition to the thermostats not working until we called them to come fix the issue, we could actually see daylight through a hole in the wall. They didnt program the outside unit so, again, things didnt work properly until they came back out to fix it.They couldnt figure out how to troubleshoot with the manufacturer so made us call the manufacturer for them. They then they repeatedly tried to overcharge us including billing for upgraded hardware they didnt install, refusing to apply ConEd rebates, and several delays in sending bills. They also forgot to register our products with the manufacturer for warranties, then did it incorrectly and almost cost us 2 years of warranty coverage.President of the company didnt care, sales rep didnt care, customer service got nasty with us. Awful service, will never work with again. If they try to refute any of this, there is plenty of documentation including emails with and from the president.To AMHAC, you have responded to other negative reviews by including personal addresses of the reviewers. If you choose to reply to mine, DO NOT include my address as it is irrelevant.
I called this morning at 7am and spoke with Janet in customer service. She set up an appointment that same day. Adam came to my house and in less then 15 minutes I was up and running. Great service and would recommend to everyone!!! Thank you AMHAC
After my furnace stopped working about a week ago and the temperature in my house had dropped to 49 degrees, I called AMHAC. Within the hour, a young technician named Alvaro arrived, located the problem, supplied the house with temporary heat, advised me to replace my almost twenty-year-old furnace, and took all the appropriate measurements. Two days later, Roger Mariusso sent over three personable and knowledgeable technicians--Arturo, Kevin, and David--with a Carrier Comfort Btuh Multipoise Gas Furnace which they installed within a matter of hours, leaving.my basement cleaner than it had been before they started to work. Thanks to all of them and thanks, too, to wonderful Janet Santana and Jeannine in the office and on the phone who responded to my urgent cries for help with speed but, more importantly, with compassion.AMHAC is an extraordinarily professional company that I would recommend to anyone who encounters furnace or hot water heater problems. I cant praise them too much.
My furnace died on the coldest night of the year, and I had to act fast to keep my family (3 kids under 5) warm. After calling multiple other HVAC companies to diagnose/fix the issue, it was deemed time to replace the furnace. I had gotten 26 years out of the furnace and A/C so not totally unexpected. I received several quotes from other Westchester HVAC companies, but decided to go with AMHAC. What a great decision! They sent someone the same day I called, sent me various proposals that evening, and within 2 days they were back installing a new furnace and A/C in my home. The team was prompt, clean, friendly and knew exactly what to do. They re-routed some ductwork in my basement to make the system more efficient and managed to get everything completed as expected. I would highly recommend AMHAC for anyone in need of HVAC servicing.

I contacted AMHAC to come out and service my air conditioning unit prior to the spring and summer season. The customer service people were very accessible and helpful with all my questions. The technician, Shobba, was extremely thorough and helpful. He walked me through the entire process of replacing the filter if necessary and answered all my questions. I highly recommend AMHAC!I still have AMHAC and Desmond Serviced my AC unit. He took the time to answer my questions and was very thorough. I use them for heating and AC and highly recommend them.
The serviceman called before he arrived, was wearing a mask and put booties over his shoes to protect the floor. He serviced the furnace, changed the filter and checked the thermostat which had been giving us trouble. Avril determined that the thermostat needed to be changed and clearly explained our options. He proceeded to install the new thermostat and showed us how to operate it. He patiently made certain that we understood how to regulate the temperature and even wrote the instructions on a card to place near the thermostat. I am a retired teacher and I would give him A+ for his expertise, his respectful demeanor and his pleasant personality.

I would like to thank Janet for all of her help. My heating unit stopped working very early this morning. I care for my aging Mom and really needed help. Janet showed great compassion and great professionalism in addressing my problem. Janet sent us Alvaro, the heating technician who diagnosed the problem and had the parts to repair it! Alvaro was very professional and patient in explaining the repairs. I am very grateful for Janet and for Alvaro’s help today and would highly recommend.
I have used them multiple times. Most recently they performed an A/C service. I thought they did a thorough job and took the time to service my units. They were courteous and helpful in explaining what they did. Previously they had performed other projects for me including: 1) Found a tricky wiring issue that was preventing me from getting heat that others couldnt find; 2) Performed maintenance on my boiler.I would recommend their services.

I called for a furnace diagnostic with a Con Ed rebate referral. They required my credit card number. I gave it to them and the service was done. A few weeks later someone calls and says my card did not go through. They admitted to me that someone took the numbers wrong. They ran it again and it went through my bank. That was 4 weeks ago. I got an alert today that they have charged me again. Please get a competent billing and accounting staff if you even have such a dept. Will never use again.

I had used AMHAC in the past and lapsed when I had I new HVAC system installed. They are great for service and diagnosing problems. They come quickly and the technicians are quite friendly and knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience working with AMHAC! They installed ductless system in 3 rooms after our old AC died. Everyone from Sales. office managers, to the technicians were easy to work with. I appreciate that they brought in a large crew and were able to do the job super fast and efficient. Minimized disruption for my family. I highly recommend them for everything HVAC. Joe O. was wonderful! He was professional, respectful and explained the process he would take to repair my AC unit and kept me in the loop as to whatever repairs he was making from beginning to end. He even found a hole in the furnace pipe and brought it to my attention to make sure I had it repaired before heating season so no one in my family would be exposed to a carbon monoxide leak. Had issues with my older central AC system the past two years...no refrigerant after the end of the winter. Called AMHAC and they came out right away to take a look, and provided multiple options for replacement. Review of the proposals was quick and easy thanks to their integrated online system. Communication was excellent throughout the run up to installation, and the team knew how to handle the process for acquiring all of my towns required permits. On installation day they were on time with all required material in hand and ready to go. Install took exactly the amount of time advertised, and the work area was kept clean and neat both inside and out. Payment at the end was a breeze thanks to the multiple options they support. Simply outstanding service - 100’ degrees today my Computer room HVAC was not functioning as supposed to. AMHAC were there to save the day. Roger was prompt diagnosed issue and fixed it quickly and the price was great.This is my go to AC company now.

Had annual boiler service performed as well as an inhibitor and glass level replacement. The parts and service were completed. We were not having a smooth operation after this Radiator Noise and Leakage had intensified. I contacted AMHAC to request a quote for replacing my 20 year old furnace and central ac units. Within days I was given a highly competitive estimate. After reading online reviews I chose AMHAC and was not disappointed. All my questions and concerns were addressed promptly the same day. The technicians were professional and kept the areas in my house clean. The units are working great and so much quieter then my previous system. Im happy to recommend AMHAC. Weve used this company for, I think, 20 years, and weve never had a problem (which is saying a lot). For this service, we had Jamal, a technician Ive not had before. He was completely professional and pleasant. He gave us information about our system, and was very neat and respectful (automatically put his booties on whenever he came into the house).
Serviceman Desmond was particularly perceptive of the non-obvious problem and efficient in its resolution. AMHAC installed the AC system 24 years ago, and other than compressor failure about ten years ago, it has been trouble-free until…until just now a clogged condenser drain within the air handler became apparent. Effective scheduling, too.
This past week we ran into an issue with our AC unit as it suddenly stopped working. We called first thing Monday morning and spoke to William. He understood our issue and we were able to get an appointment the same day. Our technician (Angel) was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about our AC unit and detected right away that the motor was the issue. He assured us that we would be able to get the part and install by the middle of that week. Lori and her manager Natalie provided excellent customer service and kept in contact with us on when the part would arrive and when we could expect an appointment for the install. As promised, a few days later the part arrived and Angel came back to fix it. Within the hour, we had our AC back! He did another fantastic job! We have been a long time customer of AMHAC. We have always found the technicians to be very knowledgeable and friendly and the office staff to be great too! We will always recommend their service to family and friends.
I’m fortunate to have dealt with great companies over the years. AMHAC though goes above and beyond in customer service, professionalism, and care. Like many, my home suffered damage in this recent storm, and it’s easy to feel defeated by Mother Nature. Yet the folks at AMHAC, from the service team who met me at my home to my contact Janet who was genuinely concerned about the safety of my beloved dog and I, left me feeling (once again), that I was in the right place. Incredible modern service with great old-fashioned care!

After waiting several years to install a new A/C system; When our system finally stopped working altogether...We Finally !! Called AmHac and they were able to come and with a lot of challenging issues to deal with; The team was Incredible! Our home was originally built in 1894 with many changes thru the years. The team had to actually take apart the entire inside unit (Conveyer)? ...then crawl up into a crazy Small, Hot space and ReAssemble the entire thing! They did it with smiles on their faces and Now we are so COOL! Thanks you AMHAC ! Also the office staff was truly nice to deal with and so helpful and efficient. I highly recommend AMHAC
The two servicemen that came to my house (Angel & Diaz) were attentive to my concerns and knew how to troubleshoot the equipment. They werent in a hurry to leave and spent the time needed to locate a setting that wasnt correct and improved the performance the equipment. They also were willing to answer any questions I had. They worked clean and professionally and I would not hesitate to use them again if needed. The office at AMHAC was also very pleasant to deal with and called to verify the appointment and was willing to change it if needed.
UPDATE on July 1, 2021:Im learning after having a technical engineer come to our home that getting such good service last time with AMHAC was not coincidence. Joe came to our home and figured out how to get our AC working so we could survive the recent heat wave.Joe answered questions, confirmed and fixed the problem - and did so quickly after we called to schedule a visit.So we were lucky enough to get first rate service quickly at reasonable cost.***** REVIEW in 2019 *****How many times do you have a bad experience with a company/person coming to fix or service something major in your house? It could be rudeness or difficulty with scheduling. It could be they rush through stuff or dont take your questions seriously. It could be they work for what seems like forever (charging by the hour) without figuring out the problem. It could be that they decide quickly that you really need a replacement, which they are happy to sell.Yesterday I had a visit from AMHAC for our air conditioning system malfunctioning. Its more than a few years old, and weve been through two service companies that proved frustrating for a range of reasons.The AMHAC field tech started off right by calling me several hours before the appointment time, asking if I wanted him to come early or as scheduled. When he showed up, he was respectful to not mess up the house, he was thorough in looking at the components of the system, he figured out what was wrong and provided a temporary fix that he proved would work and explained how the system could be fixed. He emphasized that the system should not be replaced; it would work well and was well sized for our needs. And he showed me why there was a problem, which related to poor installation and servicing by prior companies (and did so respectfully of the others).He was efficient, professional and effective. And we will be cool this summer thanks to (finally) picking the right company to take care of our a/c (and heat).
AMHAC is very professional in their scheduling and communications--they are not aggressive with their promotions and communications like some other companies...The service workers are helpful and do not try to push additional unnecessary services. I recommend them for anyone in the area.

Very good and thorough service. Replaced a faulty thermostat and calibrated the entire three-zone system.. Angel and Luis were excellent . Friendly, efficient and the work was done well and the house left clean. We like AMHAC and would certainly like this pair of technicians if we needed additional work.

I couldnt be happier with the service I received from AMHAC. They responded quickly to my need to have a repairman service a boiler that provided heat to our house that stopped working. They showed up on time, explained the issue that was causing my boiler to shut down and addressed a very difficult issue as quickly as possible. The senior technician, Adam, could not have provided a better service. He showed concern and care for the homeowner which was greatly appreciated. I just signed up for annual boiler and A/C contracts because I was so happy with the service I received.
They did a nice job and replaced my hvac unit for my home. They were accommodating and competivly priced. Their tech and field were very good to work with. I recommend them if you need heating or AC work.

Two units in my house failed and AMHAC came to the rescue. Both were older units and I was fearful they would need replacement, but the courteous and knowledgeable technician diagnosed that two simple parts needed replacement. Though the parts were not immediately in stock, he got both units working temporarily, and the next day I received a call that the parts were in and within 24 hours, a new technician came to make the repair. Any time I have called AMHAC they always arrive within the window of time I have been told, and I have confidence that any time I have an issue they will be here promptly to get me going again. On the phone and in person, everyone is competent, friendly, courteous and responsible and I can give them a high recommendation for any heating or air conditioning needs that may occur.
It is such a pleasure to deal with a company that is professional and efficient. Have been using AMHAC for over 20 years for both installation and service. Called the emergency number the night before the July 4th holiday, never expecting them to send someone the same night. William called me back promptly, and had a technician to my house in a little over an hour. Elvis, who has serviced my unit before was able to quickly diagnose the problem, The condenser needed a new motor, and since AMHAC makes sure the trucks are well stocked with parts, was able to fix the unit and have it running in short order, I would not hesitate to recommend the company since the staff is well trained and knowledgeable.
We have worked with the technician Jamie from AMHAC for many years now. He is extremely knowledgeable and we are confident he can solve any issue that comes up. I should also mention that AMHAC installed and maintains our central air, home gas generator and they rebuilt the existing heating system during our kitchen renovation. They do good work.
AMHAC has always been prompt and done a great work for me. I have replaced my whole ac/heating unit. Also, just replaced by hot water heater with them. I also have an annual maintenance contract with them. No complaints!!!
Weve used AMHAC for years and have always been very happy with both their responsiveness and the quality of their work. The best thing you can say about a service company is that they make you confident that your systems are working properly to the extent that you forget about them. That has been our experience with AMHAC and we intend to keep using them as long as we have a house.

I have been a customer of AMHAC for about 16 years. They have been great. They are very responsive to my questions and problems. Recently, during a week of 90 degree weather, my air conditioner broke. I called them and they arrived within a couple of hours. My AC unit was 13 years old and basically was shot. An engineer, Pat, came the same day, called me at work, and emailed me my options. He then called me the next morning and reviewed the options and we picked the best option (not the most expensive) and it was ordered right away and installed within 48 hours!. They even came back the next day to check on it. I highly recommend them. They also installed and maintain my generator! I am so glad I have a service contract with them. KP

We have been having a recurring problem with one of our Furnace units which was misdiagnosed by another service company. AMHAC had service technicians, Angel and Shobba, at our house within one hour of my call. They were both pleasant, neat, and courteous, and patiently explained what they were doing and why the system was failing to operate properly. The problem was quickly identified and corrected.
Angel arrived promptly for our AC maintenance call. He was, and has always been super professional whenever he has serviced any of our equipment. He came masked, gloved and bootied, which put us at ease. He worked quickly and efficiently, and, as always, we were very pleased with the service he provided.

Central Air went out in my home on a Wednesday afternoon... attempted to get in touch with another company three different times. Over two and a half days no one returned my call. Called AMHAC, was able to speak directly to the company, set an appointment for the next afternoon. The tech called well within the specified time and had my central air running within 30 min. Ive been in my house for over 10 years. Based in Eastchester, AMHAC have serviced all our heating and air conditioning needs in that time. It stands to reason that its usually very warm or cold when Ive been calling AMHAC. They have always replied to my queries and where needed showed up at the prearranged time. They call a half hour in advance to make sure we are there to meet them.The technicians are respectful, informative and tidy. I wanted to once again give a big thank you to AMHAC for helping me out once again. I had an unfortunate situation where 4 of my radiators were conducting heat, while the rest were. After my wife poor wifes office was registering 45 degrees, tracked the problem down to the heat pump.I called on Sunday right before the NorEaster was supposed to hit. AMHAC came through again. They said Demetrius would be out first thing Monday morning. He was there early, resolved the issue in no time and explained to me what had happened and how best to keep it from happening again. AMHAC installed a new A.O. Smith 75 gallon gas-fired water heater and Honeywell mixing valve in my home today. Im very pleased with the job, especially their promptness, attention to detail, and high level of craftsmanship. A crew of 3 men, comprised of a master plumber, apprentice, and supervisor, arrived this morning at 8:30 and worked together seamlessly to complete the installation in approximately 2 hours. They answered all of my many questions and did not seem to mind my looking over their shoulders while they worked. The price for the job was very competitive with other plumbers and heating companies in my area. AMHAC is now my go-to company for all my heating and air conditioning needs.
Angel and Jamal came on time despite the fact that our telephones were temporarily out of order. They did a thorough job and worked cleanly. Angel showed me how to work the thermostat and set it for the winter. Both were very friendly. However the thermostat is not functioning in the manner that Angel had told me it would. When the weather is colder and the thermostat still does not function correctly, could there be follow up call to make it work correctly? You have maintained our heating and cooling systems over more years than I can remember and in the past those systems have always worked properly.
Like today’s visit to my house, AMHAC technicians always did a good job with respect to diagnosis and repair for the two AC units in my house, with reasonable rates. They not only listened carefully to my description about AC issues we had found, but also had a professional insight into problem solution. They responded to my question well with satisfied answers and knowledge regarding future maintenance and care for the ACs. I really appreciate the efforts they have made.
I requested AMHAC service when my furnace stopped working. I was well attended on a phone call and the AMHAC techs were at the house in less than 2 hours. They serviced and restarted my old (super old) furnace. They were knowledgeable and explained me as the cleaning and repair started. The servicing was finished in less than an hour. The service easily deserve 5 stars.Furthermore, AMHAC techs recommended to replace my furnace. Engineer came out for site inspection the same day and I had a quote by evening. Lets see how it goes.

The process of repairing the heat and air conditioning unit was much easier to accomplish by working with AMHAC and the wonderful people working there. Kim Torres was great at taking the order and working with John Flynn, Elena and William Diaz to set up the scheduling was a very smooth experience. Joe the technician diagnosed the problem and identified the necessary parts. Brian returned to do the installation and now we are cool, calm and collected.

This is new years eve, and found that our steam boiler isnt working!! I called AMHAC at 9:30 am and they were able to schedule for a same day visit. Our service man was Kurt, and he gave me a call 10 min ahead of the arrival, just as I requested. He worked promptly to find out that the problem was with the thermostat. He didnt carry much options for a replacement thermostat in his truck which was unfortunate, but the basic model he had would do. He was very pleasantly to work with. Good experience!
The workers came at the scheduled time and were very professional. They called ahead of time to say they were on their way with a estimated time of arrival. They fixed the issue and let me know what was wrong in a way a normal person can understand. Let me know about all the options i could take. Our 17 year old central AC (installed by AMHAC) had developed leaks, losing coolant. After discussions with their engineer, we decided to replace. Within one week, equipment ordered, arrived and installed. Working great, and temperatures forecast for high 80s today.In the. Interest of full disclosure, it cost more now than it did 17 years ago. ;-)

Excellent service throughout. I called them on Friday and they were able to come out on the following Monday to diagnose my air-conditioning unit problem. Due to a misunderstanding, there was a day or so delay in ordering a necessary part. I called AMHAC and got an appointment for the following day. The technician came within the allocated time frame and called to give notice. He was respectful and efficient- informed me of every step he was doing and once he knew what the problem was, gave me details on how and why we had to fix it. In and done in 45 minutes and our problem is solved! I would highly reccomend them and use them again for sure!

Im not sure why everyone is so excited about AMHAC. I live 1/2 mile down the street from them, on White Plains Rd, and they still charge $125 just to come and see anything I have to repair. Bad Westchester plumber/HVAC practices. They need to take some heat for that, not friendly at all to individual local homeowners.
3 years later, this place has done an complete 180 and nose dived. Seems like they have had churn and lost some great people. Their service person showed up because one of our rooms wasn’t cooling. After tinkering around for over an hour and experimenting on our expensive equipment, we were left with our entire second floor without cooling. An inexperienced technician who kept calling someone else to direct him what he had to do. And the final finding was a possible replacement of one or two parts, without any assurance that it would solve the problem. So another experiment. Spoke to the manager and all he had zero customer focus. Now, I totally expect a counter comment refuting my review. But perhaps if this company solves its customers problems with the same energy they refute 1 star reviews, they would be a better business.

They were very accommodating to my schedule and offered tips and suggestions to inform me about boilers in general. We have been customers of AMHAC for countless number of years. Not only did they convert our oil-fired burner to natural gas but they were able to add zones to this small home. Recently, during the height of the current heat wave, our 17-year old Carrier 2-stage HVAC decided to give up the ghost. AMHAC also installed this system along with requisite duct-work, piping, etc. in 2002. I told my tale of woe to John who answered the phone on Tuesday morning and the next thing I knew Roger was able to alter his planned schedule for that day and explain all of our options. Of course, he knew exactly what we had previously installed and we knew the most cost effective approach would be to replace the outdoor unit. So, here it is, heat wave and no HVAC! The entire process from visit to install was less than 3 full days. We were prepared for it to be 6 given the upcoming weekend. On Friday morning, came the knock on the door - 2 of the nicest AMHAC installers were there with the replacement system - Johan and Desmond. The installation process was clean and methodical and each test of the new system was explained to us in detail as we watched the gauges bring our brand new Carrier 2-stage system come to life. Exceed customer expectations? I should say so!! Thank you AMHAC! Once again, you came through for us - this is an AMHAC house. We are grateful for the cool air, once again. P.S. We did not need to sleep in the basement on a brand-new air mattress which is still in its delivery box. I would definitely recommend AMHAC to whomever is reading this review ... and ask for Carrier!
So grateful to have called this team today. Our usual HVAC company told us we needed to fully replace our A/C system. We called AMHAC for a second quote since its a fairly large expenditure. They came out and were able to replace a part (for about 5% of the price and within 20 minutes) and get the A/C on again. Honest, same day service, and friendly employees. We are definitely switching permanently. And when the time comes to swap that A/C unit out, youve got our business! Thank you, AMHAC!

My AC gave out in the middle of the worst heatwave this past summer. I interviewed several HVAC companies, including the one I had been doing business with for years, and , because of the knowledge and expertise demonstrated by Roger Mariusso when we spoke, I decided to trust AMHAC with the job of replacing my system. It was a great decision. Roger put together the best system for my space. He arranged for a quick installation of the equipment and, much to my surprise, sent in three teams of expert installers one of which reconconstructed my inadequate duct system as best they could. The work was completed within a day and when I expressed some concerns about the new ductwork they came back within two days to address them! At the start of the heating season, when my new furnace did not respond as it should have, there was a technician at my home before 2PM the day I called and my system was up and running in minutes. (the live chat on the web site that runs 24/7 is a great tool!) The technician was knowledgeable and patient enough to provide a through explanation of how the system works. I have already recommended AMHAC to friends looking to upgrade their system, and I highly recommend them to anyone reading this review. They are a team of honest, knowledgeable, and professional HVAC people.

Our air conditioning system gave out in the middle of a recent heat wave. Our system was about 20 years old and could not be repaired. An engineer came out immediately and worked with us to get the system replaced quickly. The new unit was ordered the next day and installed two days later. The crew that came out was terrific. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. There was some additional ductwork that had to be redone as well. All the work was done in a couple of hours. We are grateful that they were able to help us get the system back up so fast.
I used AMHAC last week to install a new Carrier gas furnace, Carrier humidifier and Carrier house filter system in my house in Hartsdale NY. Roger came out to estimate my install. He was very knowledgeable, had all the right answers to many of my questions and sent me a proposal the following day. Since I already had Carrier products and great experience (25 year old furnace to be replaced) I chose AMHAC and I am very happy that I did. We set up the install a week later. AMHAC sent 3 men to my house with all of the right equipment, parts and tools. The install took the entire day and by 4pm I was back up and running. I cant say enough great things about how AMHACs workers performed especially Arturo. They were all terrific. I will not use any other heating/air-conditioning company to do work in my house but AMHAC. Thanks to Roger for making me a very happy customer.
Update: after speaking with Lauren, one of the custmer care rep, the issue was resolved. So, if you have bad experience, ensure you speak with the right person. While the resolution of the issue after getting through Lauren was very quick and pleasant (5 *s to her), I am keeping the overall experience to 3 *s (up from original 1*). I got the work done somewhere else, so cannot comment on that.Did not have a good experience with them. Recently I called them to request a specific service. The receptionist confirmed that technicians come prepared and have the necessay know-how and equipment to complete that service.The technician showed up but did not have the equipment. The technician came,left in 5 mins stating he didnt know he had to perform descaling (which i had requested during my call and confirmed). I understand, this can happen sometime. I was ok.But then a week or so later, without any additional follow up I see an invoice for the technician to show up and preparing a report of what I told him.I tried calling their customer care team to get to a resolution, but that didnt go well either. They basically said the balance will remain on my account because technician loaded the truck and showed up to do the service - which he could not perform because he didnt have the equipment.May be it is one off and glad others have better experience. But I felt compelled to share the experience, for whatever it is worth.
AMHAC has provided us with service and replacement systems for more than two decades, and on a couple of occasions has had to respond quickly. They have always been there when needed, with service people who are thorough, experienced and very professional in every way. They even resolved a complex humidification requirement for our son in NYC. This is a gold standard company for heating and air conditioning needs.

The day in 1989 when we moved into our house AMHAC installed new equipment. For 32 years we have relied exclusviely on AMHAC and have had nothing but great, reliable and reasonable services.
Pat and his team did a fantastic job with the central A/C install at our house (no existing central A/C). It was a very challenging project -- 1927 Colonial, 3 floors, 6 zones -- and Pat and his team managed it with impressive skill. We also very much appreciated the attention to detail with respect to the aesthetics and making sure it was done the way we wanted. Were most of the way through our first summer with the system and its been working flawlessly. Further, the combination of (1) an efficient system and (2) smart thermostats to help us manage temperatures dynamically throughout the home have really helped keep our electricity costs down. Well be using AMHAC again on future heating projects. Also, were happy to serve as a reference, should you need it. Thank you!!!
Jorge from AMHAC, who came to service the air-conditioning system, was knowledgeable, courteous, competent, and efficient. He made just the right suggestions to fix a long-standing water drainage problem, and quickly carried them out. I was delighted with the service.Adam and two assistants were here yesterday to do a thorough cleaning of the ducts of the air-conditioning system. I was absolutely delighted with their work. Part of the duct-work consists of potentially easily-damaged flexible ducts, and the remainder is metal ducts. They used some kind of system involving blowing nitrogen through the system, and a large vacuum apparatus for the flexible ducts, which led to them being thoroughly cleaned (Adam showed me before and after pictures, in which all the dirt in the interior ridges of these ducts was removed). Some of the stiff metal ducts were opened (and then repaired) just so they too could be cleaned completely. All of the vents were removed and carefully washed out (I saw them do some of these). I am completely satisfied with AMHACs service on this, and would recommend it to anyone.
The two technicians have good knowledge. They answered all my questions and even taught me a few tricks for optimizing our heating system. Both very pleasant. Good service will always reccomend AMHAC for your heating

The technician, Angel, arrived on time for the scheduled regal service prior to heating season. He explained what and why he was doing. When he showed me I needed a specialized filter replaced, he was just as happy to use my supplied filter, as the companys, which is more expensive.(I order humidifier filters online - much more reasonable.) The service was very good.
When our A/C unit didnt feel like it was operating at 100%, we called AMHAC and scheduled a service visit for the next afternoon. Joe called to let us know he and Edva were coming and they ended up spending two hours diagnosing the trouble, evaluating options to fix it and then proceeding with the course of action. They were very patient, explained everything they were doing and hoped to accomplish, and then spent the necessary time to address the leak in the freon tube. Their service was excellent and they were very accomodative and explained everything. Kudos to Joe and Edva from a happy customer.

We called AMHAC last Friday morning because our heat wasnt working properly and we were offered a same day appointment. Our schedules didnt allow for that, so we made an appointment for 8-9am Monday morning. Jorge arrived before 8:30am, diagnosed the problem and conveniently had the required parts in his truck. A short time later, he had replaced the parts, the problem was fixed, and our house is now warm. Jorge was friendly and professional and got the job done. We couldnt be more pleased with this AMHAC experience.

They were able to work around my schedule and came exactly when they said. George was able to troubleshoot the problem with the boiler quickly and efficiently and fixed it without delay. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company for any heating or air conditioning problems.

Luis did an excellent annual service of both sets of air handler and condensers. He diagnosed a condenser part as being close to out of acceptable range and replaced it to avoid future problem. AMHACs technicians, Angel and Shobba, completed maintenance and repairs on two wall-mounted gas boilers. They carefully followed the manual instructions, double-checked all their work, and made recommendations for future maintenance. They were neat and courteous, and while working they explained in detail what they were doing and why. They spent the time to make sure everything was working right, which is very important with this type of boiler.

AMHAC installed a new air filter system with UV.They also fixed a number of other items that were not properly installed. Very happy with their professionalism.

After going out to three vendors, we chose Amhac to for the conversion from oil to gas and to replace our entire heating, hot water and AC mechanicals. They had a very competitive price, did a great job and handled everything with ConEd (who was a nightmare and totally unresponsive). They were professional, explained everything that was going on, cleaned up every time they came to the house. When we had few minor issues with the system post installation, they were timely in coming to house and correcting the item or making changes. We even had a bad condenser (not Amhacs fault) that was discovered a year later, Carrier was being difficult on honoring their warrantee and Amhac stepped in, got us a brand new AC unit and fought the company on there own. I couldnt be happier and highly recommend there services.
I have used Amhac for a number of years (and my mother many years before that) for checking on heating at my mothers home and also for checking on air-conditioning there and making sure they are working well. Nice office staff and reliable work for these years. We plan to use them in the future for these services.

Having trouble with my central air-conditioning compressor unit (was working intermittently, blowing warm air), from a very reliable source, I was recommended AMHAC. I went into their website, detailed the trouble and within a very short time, received a call from them to schedule an appointment time. They gave me a window of five (5) hours. I asked if they could come closer to the beginning time as I had plans for later in the day, of which I could not miss. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The technician (Elvis) arrived just after the beginning of the start of the scheduled window time. Within one (1) hour (if not sooner) the unit was repaired. Not only was it repaired, it is running and cooling BETTER THAN EVER. The technician certainly knew his stuff. To my pleasant surprise, when my wife called AMHAC the other day to make an appointment, we were able to have it booked for the very next day. Considering this time of year when people are turning on their AC systems during this brief spate of very hot weather, it was nice to know AMHAC could be depended upon to respond so quickly.The technician (Adam Spinelli) quickly diagnosed the problem and showed us his ability to think a bit outside the box to rectify it. They tried to make me to pay $1,500 for $100 worth of freon. The price is very unreasonable, given that other companies would charge the $100. I changed my review to 3 stars (up from 1) because they followed up and offered a reduced freon price. They also did not charge me the diagnostics fee.Still, they cost me 2 days delay in my A/C being fixed (by another company). I ended paying about 1/3rd the price of AMHACs original ask, or about 50% of what AMHAC offered on the phone the following day.
Angel and Jamal conducted a quick and thorough maintenance of our heating. They answered all my questions and even taught me a few tricks for optimizing our heating system. Both very pleasant. Good service. Recommended.

The AMHAC team was solid. We had a custom job of rerouting in-slab ductwork overhead which required a real understanding our house and how to design it with minimal intrusion. After my first meeting with them I knew they were the right people for the job (especially when compared to other companies I met). As for the job itself, the crew possessed the right skills for the job, were very clean and professional. In many ways they went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend them for any custom ductwork project, lesser jobs of course too!

Very satisfactory work from Amhac. Heat was out for half of my house. They found problem,Replaced pump and cleaned area. It was done fast and efficiently. Tony was the technician that day. He explained the problem at hand and gave me best solution to fix it. He completed work at a very reasonable time and left are clean. Unlike other companies I have had work for me in the pass. AMHAC send someone yesterday to troubleshoot and ordered parts for next day. Angel and Shobba, came in the morning and installed the gas valve. All did great job and very professional. Fees were reasonable.
AMHAC sent an experience and professional technician (Jorge). He was very patient, willing to listen to my issues with the HVAC system, vent noises, thundering air flow, Nest issues. He answered all of my questions. None of the problems threw him, he had an immediate answer or knew exactly where to start. This was not an easy service call. But he was efficient with his time, tackled one problem at a time and finished everything in one service call. A pleasure.

I had an emergency situation on a Sunday night. AMHAC responses right away. By Monday morning, Pat was at my house assessing damage to boiler, taking measurements to order new boiler. Crews started that day taking apart old boiler (it was cracked and needed entire new boiler) dismantled it. Saw how cold I was in my home and went to their office to get us space heaters! Above and beyond. Joe and Yoban were great. Pat dealt with all my permit requirements and Edmundo even came by my house for signature instead of having me make a trip. Boiler was installed next day and job complete in less than 3 days! One minor issue and Brian And adam were at my house ASAP to readjust. Ive never had such prompt caring service and Ive completed many house reaction projects. HIGHLY recommend!
Great service. Very responsive. George was great to explain things in laymans term so I could understand what was going on. I didnt have hot water and they were very empathetic with their response and got someone out right away and stayed until they were sure everything was fixed. Left another company to go to AMHAC and I am very pleased.
Angel and Lewis are so wonderful! We had no heat on the coldest day in NY in 3 years! Angel came and even though he needed a special piece, he fixed the heat for us until the part came in. 3 days later he came back with Lewis and installed the broken piece! I tried them because they had good rating from BBB but then they show up totally incompetent. They didnt fix the problem the first time and charged again to come back to fix it right. All at the same time, they had such an attitude. I dont know how these guys stay in business. We ended up hiring someone else to finish the job and install a new central air conditioning unit.
Adam, Angel, and Shaoba were very professional and did a great job fixing our furnace! They showed up when they said they would and wore shoe covers to protect my floors. I would highly recommend them.

I was very happy with my last Amhac service call. I was able to receive an appointment within a day. The technician was very thorough and solved my air conditioning issue in the most economical way. I would call them again for all my hvac needs!
AMHAC workers did great job on October 2, 2018 to install Mitsubishi Cooling and Heating Ductless Air Conditioning System in my house in Crestwood area of Yonkers. They come on time and worked overtime to finish the job. Especially I would like to apreciate great communication and technical skills of HVAC and Electrician Yoban and Leo. 2022-03-31AMHAC provided wonderful and responsive service in our time of need. Our boilers went down, and Alvaro made the first after hours visit, coming to our rescue. He was very professional and communicative, and systematically diligent in trying to find a clear diagnosis. After stemming the emergency and starting the differential analysis, systems were shut down for continuation the next day. Alvaro was very kind and concerned for our situation. The next day Alvaro and Adam came together and very diligently worked to clean out the boilers, and complete differential analysis, and left us with a working boiler for restored heat and hot water. Adam also knows the home well, and we always feel in good hands. A third visit on the following day was required to complete work on the second boiler, purge the system, and restore things back to working order. We are hopeful we have a durable solution. In addition to Alvaro and Adams leaving a very positive impression and experience for the homeowner, we want to also acknowledge Janet, Janine, and Walter in scheduling and coordination, as they played a majorly important role in the after hours response, triage/scheduling and follow-up; tone and touch are everything especially when it comes to a home emergency. Extra kudos on this, and management should definitely acknowledge the whole team! We are so grateful to all, and would highly recommend AMHAC!

2022-05-23I had my A/C transformer fail over the weekend in May with temps reaching 90. AMHAC did a phenomenal job getting emergency service out to me quickly and helping to resolve the problem. Kevin was our technician and he was super friendly and courteous in addition to being knowledgeable about my issue. I am incredibly grateful for his great work and will be using only AMHAC in the future!

2022-04-27Joe O came on time. He provided a complete inspection of the AC system. He was courteous, efficient and professional. In the process, he showed me that the condenser water pump had failed. I had actually been keeping an eye on it, given its age. He was able to replace the pump with one he had one on the truck. That done, he gave the rest of the AC system a thumbs up. That left me feeling confident that we are ready for the summer cooling season!

We engaged AMHAC a few years back for their annual contract and have always been pleased with their service—twice each year, a friendly, knowledgeable tech arrives and makes sure everything is running well. But when a major part failed in our system during a hot spell, they diagnosed the problem quickly, sourced the parts, and had a pro here to install them. 2022-01-17AMHAC is a wonderful company. Their customer service is always helpful and a technician is sent the same day. On the coldest day of the year our heating system broke on a Saturday. AMHAC has an emergency service line that immediately called me back and sent a technician out to fix. The service plans they offer are affordable and cover both AC and heat. I highly recommend.

2022-05-02AMHAC has proven to be very reliable and professional and has provided us regular annual maintenance service. We recently had a major breakdown of our central heating/hot water system during the coldest days of the winter, while we were away. They responded to our call immediately, made the necessary repairs quickly and had the system up and running in short order. It was a very satisfying response. Three years ago they dealt with and solved another major problem and we were very satisfied with the work and the workers. We have happily recomended them to several of our friends and neighbors.

2022-05-02We just switched to AMHAC, deciding to use a new company after Hurricane Ida ruined everything. I found the company responsive, timely, and less expensive than the other company we used. The men who came were professional and polite. From the little things (I appreciated that they put on shoe coverings so as not to track dirt in the house) to the bigger things (when I asked about uneven air flow, providing helpful suggestions), and even the office staff (very friendly and helpful), the whole experience was very positive.

2022-05-06AMHAC has been servicing our HVAC for three years since we moved into our home. They do annual checks before we turn on the system for the year and have provided issue support when we accidentally froze the system by clogging the filter during home repairs. They have helped us learn the system which they installed for the previous owners - helping us install a nest thermostat instead of the wireless remote that was used (and always lost by us). Most recently they were able to efficiently do our maintenance and check for leaks in the system post the home repairs in one visit which others had told me would take two visits. Highly recommend them as they provide great service and maintain great records of my home service which makes it easier for me.
