Food was good and honestly super filling. Looks like small portions but very hearty and yummy. Good music and light atmosphere. not super into sports bars but not a heavy douche vybe. only disappointment was had a reservation for 3, got squeezed into a 2 top in the corner but whatevs. Some girl fell walking out the door so that was cool. waitress was also nice and accommodating even tho clearly very busy which was appreciated.
This is the first bar my pal and I visited in NYC, and we are very happy about it. Out server was very polite, patient and helpful. The food was tasty, and all of our drinks were delicious! Shoutout to Selena for the suggestions and making my visit a very pleasant one. Don’t hesitate on making a trip here. The atmosphere is trendy, and the staff is wonderful. Will definitely make a stop here again sometime in the near future.
Went out for a Monday Night (JUNE 7th) to watch the NBA playoffs. It was a good environment and vibes, not too crowded so we were able to seat at the bar. We ordered some beers and had to wait 25 mins to placed an order of food ! The bartender only had 8ppl seating at the bar, counting us and she wasn’t able to give us a good service!! She Never approached us to ask if we wanted some food or to make sure that everything was fine! We would finish our beers and she didn’t even bother to serve us more!! We found her a lil bit too rude and she only took care of her own friends that night! Besides that horrible experience with the bartender, everything else was perfect!! Nachos with pork 💯 & the Flatbread Margarita 💯! Management was amazing !! She was killing it that night. Hopefully she’s not at the bar next time we stop by‼️
Huge and slightly more upscale than most sports bars on the UWS! Definitely a new favorite spot for game watching. Good number of TVs that are decent sized and for huge games theyll even turn the sound on the whole time. Surprisingly good food too! Flatbreads and burgers are great, and seared sesame tuna bowl is excellent.Update: brunch might be the best thing about this place... $14 skillet scrambles and huevos rancheros, with sides of potatoes and toast. Highly recommend the “green goddess” skillet scramble with spinach goat cheese and avocado- and add bacon to the mix! Also easy to get a table at brunch time on a weekend, and super nice service.
Great large space and outdoor seating. It also has two bars and lots of screens for sports. I have never been there before so dont know what its like pre-pandemic or in the evening. I went on a nice Saturday afternoon around 3 and it was lovely and the waitress was lovely. We were 4 seated at the bar and another patron at the other end of the bar.
Went for Saturday afternoon drinks outside. We ordered a pitcher of beer and nachos. They said theyd bring us waters that never came. They only brought 3 glasses for the beer for the 4 of us. They eventually brought a fourth glass out many minutes later. The nachos came out without napkins or small plates. They said theyd bring them but never did. Probably 20 minutes later, I went inside to try to order another pitcher. The hostess told me the staff was busy but would come to our table. None of the tables were being to attended to, so we just got the check and left. We were over charged for the 2 items we had ordered as well. The nachos were good though.
I love to be there with friends. However, I have a double feeling about this place. I like atmo, service, but food even though looks nice and fresh is not tasty and flavorful for me. Also, non of the faucets work properly in the bathroom. You have to hold handle with one hand and wash the other 😲. Please repair it.
I would give zero stars if possible, made reservations for outdoor dining because a few people in our group didn’t were not vaccinated, not only did they deny us service, the hostess took it upon her to claim they were a “very big franchise and will not serve to the unvaccinated”. I will be spreading the word.
I live in the neighborhood and I have to say Amity hall is the best bar to go to, food is great, staff is great and the manager/owner Randy is the best. I always feel welcomed and I go all year round. It’s a cool spot to watch sports or just hanging with friends or to have dinner or brunch.
Great drink selection. A perfect spot for getting together after classes. The outdoor seating is heated well, but the indoors can be a bit overcrowded for my pandemic comfort level. Nothing against the place at all - the staff is great, and theyre following all guidelines. Excited to make this a more regular part of the routine over the summer.
Amity Hall is such a hoppin spot for brunch (ask them about their beer towers and bottomless mimosas). The food was fine but nothing special, and there were few healthy or vegetarian options which made enjoying it here difficult. But! The streatery setup is wonderful and I hope theyre able to keep it like that for a long time.
The whipped ranch dip for their calamari is just as good as the one Arbys used to sell with their loaded potato bites. Im going back just to order two orders of that plus because everyone was so nice. It started off low key here and then got a bit load when college kids came in but still was no where near as rowdy as some sports bars. Everyone was good looking, so Im assuming thats a job requirement. Lol No really, I was curious. Nachos were ok. They will not serve you a third drink until you buy food though. So its not a place to pregame. Overall its a great place to relax and pass time. There was even a woman reading in the window. Ah, and there was not that mixed a crowd but at least there was a mix. That night there were more whites and asians. In an entire room id say there was about 4 black/hispanic/mixed people. Either way it wasnt awkward so its a nice place for anyone to check out. Calamari. Remember calamari.
Are you owed a refund? Like legitimately, you either never got food or due to a quality issue were promised one? If so, double check because mine never went through. I had to track them down.I was admittedly rude and demanding on a few occasions. The manager decided to refuse service, which is his prerogative and as someone in the business... I respect. But he (James) should have double, triple, checked that a guest he rejected wasn’t charged. To top it off, when I called and took a very polite approach this time - an olive branch - so to speak... he referred me to Grub Hub (due to the date) and abruptly made it clear he had far more pressing matters to deal with.I think we have some bad tempers and bad manners on both sides here. Grub Hub acted in my favor after I demonstrated banking and phone records to corroborate the date
The food was delicious, and the waitress was great, but not family friendly for people with babies. I attempted to change my infants diaper in his stroller because there isnt a baby changing station in any bathroom. Also, the bathroom was so dimly lit I could barely see what I was doing. It kind of ruined the whole experience. It would be nice if they invested in one for at least one bathroom, its not that expensive. No baby no problem, that is my only complaint.
My friend and I came last night because it was one of the few places open later on the way to Central Park.Their menu has something for everybody and a large drink list.We ordered:Bavarian Pretzel with CheeseCalamariBlack Mission Fig FlatbreadEverything Crusted Tuna BowlAbsolutely EVERYTHING was delicious and I’m sure if we ordered anything else it would have been good too. We’re already talking about coming back soon. This restaurant deserves business. Thanks for the great service!
Bar staff was really nice, they have a great selection of craft beers in a very relaxed environment. I had the nachos which were not good in my opinion. It was more that I am a traditional nacho kind of guy and these were more like a trendy new form of nachos. I would recommend this place if you are in that area, but if youre on vacation, or only in New York for a short time I would not recommend going out of your way to come here.
Loud, yuppy sports bar. This neighborhood used to have great, no nonsense bars without huge TV screens where you could hang out and have a drink with your neighbors. Well, gentrification has really bleached the neighborhood and brought with it places with the multiple large screen TVs playing nothing but sports. The suburbanites have moved to the neighborhood and brought with them their boring, white bread culture and this place exemplifies this. The Lions Head across the street has a few, unobtrusive TVs and still attracts the old school locals so go there if you want to have a notion of the old hood, and get great beer on tap.
A nice local bar to watch sports. Good screens, food, drinks and service. My friends and I have been going there for a few years to watch sports games and they usually play the live commentary instead of music for playoff games or other major games. While the service was great on Sunday evening, it took about 30 minutes for the manager to turn the live game commentary on after the first request was made by our bartender. The manager did not seem to show any sense of urgency to customer requests as many of us were watching the game around the bar and wanted the music turned off. I hope this part of the service is improved soon so that Amity Hall can keep its current customer base.
Really good food, great staff, drink specials that are awesome. Monday night half price wings are my favorite. The bartenders are attentive and precise. The hostess will always get you a seat where you will be comfy. Wait staff Is super friendly but not pushy. Awesome if you want to watch the game, or just bring a date to sit and chat.
Food is so good, I had the loaded nacho, avocado jalapeno shredded cheese tomatoes chicken. Listen it was good and very fresh too. They got rid of my favorite beer Gray lady Ale, but its cool because they have about 40 other choices. But all in all fresh clean food, cold, wide variety of beer sports many TVs many games in a modern wood and brick type of environment feel cool.
Amity Hall is a great place. Love the area; love the staff and the food is awesome....I have been there a couple of times and would really recommend the Steak Nachos and the South West Chicken bowl. The Damn Fries (yes I said damn) was mouthwatering; the wings was done just to my liking and the Truffle Fries was delicious. I also was greeted by two of the sweetest ladies to ever seat me. I gave this restaurant a 5 and would highly recommend that you stop by and have a seat and stuff your self with this great food they offer.
Great to see Amity Hall expand uptown. The place itself was redone beautifully. Food is very good; although granted Ive personally only had burgers, my girlfriend loved their Mexican chicken bowl. Beer list is alright but surprisingly weak for a beer bar. Hopefully they step it up, because with West End Hall around the corner, they definitely have some competition.
Dont be mislead by the pictures showing a very impressive number of taps. The beer selection on tap is not impressive. There are no porters, the only stout is Guinness, and even the bottled stouts are nothing really crafty. Additionally, on Monday evening it can be quite loud, I cant imagine whats on Thursdays or Fridays. The sweet fries are quite soggy too. But the Jamaica jerk wings are pretty good.
I walk pass by to that bar and restaurant all the time. On a Friday night, sometimes this place gets filled with a lot of people including college students for a certain occasion. This place also has a very good food menu with good beer and other drinks and beverages.
Amity Hall uptown is a great local spot, and neighborhood bar. With great daily specials and an awesome happy hour, every day theres a reason to visit. The fun, laid back atmosphere, along with an attentive and friendly staff leaves a reason to come back again and again.
This place is pretty incredible, but I gotta say the whole time I was here I was thinking about how the restaurants name reminded me of the Amityville horror house. I dont want to be thinking about ghouls and demons while Im trying to eat and drink. The name of this restaurant should be reconsidered.
Great layout and selection of beverages however Ive had issues with service.Recently visited for brunch and the server brought over an Irish coffee (with a layer of whipped cream on top) in a glass that had a large and prominent lipstick stain on the rim from a previous customer. The server apologized and took it away only to return with the very same drink simply poured into a new glass - the layer of whipped cream layer had mixed in with the drink when she poured it into the new glass.EDIT: Ive been back a few times since my first review (3 stars) and it seems that service has improved.
Amazing place for brunch (especially during football season, they show all NFL games), and a great staff. Love stopping in for a late night drink on my way home from work. Dont believe the google hours of operation, they close at 2am on weekdays and 3 on weekends. However, the bartenders are everything!!
Its a pandemic, I get it. You dont want to have too many on staff with just some limited dining. But the people that are getting shifts should be the servers that actually serve.Myself and a few friends, (4 of us total) waited 30 mins for a table the other day (we understood and didnt worry about it). Our server came over fairly quickly, gave us some cups and water, then told us to told to scan the QR code for the menu. I love this feature, actually. It was about 10 mins before the server came back to take our order we had all chosen our food and drinks. With each person there was a statement of I have to check, We dont have that, and Were not serving that now (the last one is the difference between Lunch/Brunch menus, but both had different chicken sands with items used in multiple other items - ok, but silly). If you have common misconceptions on a website with multiple headings, you as the server have the responsibility to funnel your guests to the right parts of the menu. If youre restaurant is out of menu items, it is the responsibility of the server to inform the guest ahead of time that things arent available. It happened on the initial order and the refill order (20 mins after the initial order, but then took 10 mins to find out). The sever even sent another server to deliver the late refill.Listen, the food is good the selection (as advertised is good).I liked this place before the pandemic and I wasnt unhappy with my eats. The only difference is that they have only limited outside seating. They need to make sure that fast, efficient and personable people are serving. Not drop-in, dissappear, unaware servers there for a paycheck and pity tips.I will give 30% COVID tips left and right, but if youre just phoning it in as a server when there are a million unemployed people in this city, youre getting what you give, not as much as expected.
Disappointed. Went there for late night drinks/food, the bartender brings us Guinness which half glass was full with foam.. expecting us to drink it... which was thicker than yogurt may I add... anyways.. it took her 4x to get it right.. she wasn’t tilting the glass.. and completely ignored me when I said I will just take something else.. all that Guinness she wasted trying to get it right, might as well just got something else... the host btw, caught an attitude when we first arrived; she asked table or bar, I first said table and she seemed shocked and just mocked me, so I told her forget it we’ll sit at the bar. Only 1 bartender, bar was full. Saturday summer night. I don’t think I will be coming back here, not even for the brunch which I originally used to like here.
Brunch menu was pretty pricey even with unlimited mimosa/bloody Mary. The food was not hot and the portion was small - couple slices of potato and food was dry in general. It was also very noisy and if you get there around 4pm remember their unlimited drinks only last till 4 even though it says 2 hours
Food is good, but portions are pretty small. Main complaint is that their bottomless brunch drinks special is very deceptive - looks like drinks are included with an entree, but theyre actually extra. Should redesign the menu to make that clear. Also the music is just Top 40 on repeat, not my thing.

2022-05-24Cool bar. You can see sports in the inside, while enjoying happy hour and grabbing some bites. The service was great. The only thing was that I found it a little bit expensive.

2022-06-27Amazing place, I went for brunch and got the huevos ranchers (very yummy, especially the potatoes) and bottomless premium (margaritas). My server was extremely attentive, I never even had to ask for a refill, she always came right on time. Will definitely visit again!

2021-09-12The food was delicious, but there was water from the air conditioner doing over our table (outside) and the waiter was nice, but slow. They might need more waiters.
