Couldnt have been happier with the service provided. Went into the shop looking for a suit for an upcoming wedding and were met by two gentleman that helped me pick some really great items. Even after my indecisiveness over the fit, which required additional alterations, Warren and Trevor went out of there way to take care of everything until I felt comfortable and happy. These guys care about their business and really get what customer service is all about. Theyre really all class and I appreciate their at your service mentality. Ill definitely be going back to Amityville Mens Shop.

I bought 2 “custom” suits. They have never been worn and will be donated. I was told the “Custom tailored” suits are basically size 46 and they cut them down. I have an athletic build and I was told this is now suits are made. Not bespoke suits. Go elsewhere
I was shopping online for Hey Dudes and found that this shop has them locally. Im big on Shop Local so went in to check them out. I was greeted by Warren who helped me select a pair of slip-ons. I was very impressed with the service and selection from a neighborhood shop that I never knew existed! Warren, you have a client for life! For mens suits, shoes, business casual, and clean casual (ie polos), this is a great shop. Even if you dont need to buy today, stop in for a slice of local history...theyve been here for 110 years!

Every once in awhile I stumble across a business that really impresses me. Warren at the Amityville Mens Shop did just that. From the moment I walked in the door untill I picked up my new suit a few days later it was obvious that he takes pride in his service. Quality products, personal service and professionalism. (The shoes are amazingly comfortable) The tailoring was perfect, everything was ready exactly when they said it would be. I wont go anywhere else now!
My husband, father, and sons have been shopping at Amityville Mens Shop for over 10 years. This is a mens clothing store that truly specializes in dressing men in top quality suits, blazers, khaki pants, dress shirts. This is a family owned business, that has been in Amityville for decades. Warren is truly an expert is dressing men for any career on L.I. or NYC. This store is unique, in that they provide expert tailoring for all clothing that is sold in their shop. Always a perfect experience shopping there!
I am convinced none of these reviews are legit. Upon meeting Warren we were very happy since we didnt want to go Mens Warehouse for groomsmen suits. However, we quickly learned how poorly this establishment is run. My fiance got a custom shirt, from Warren. When he tried it on, it looked absolutely horrible and there was nothing custom about it. To which Warren confirmed, he mightve given him the wrong shirt. This shirt looked 3 sizes too big. Strike 1. Fast forward to the week of our wedding, which was on Saturday. Several people were missing both pocket squares + buttons for shirts and this wouldve gone unnoticed if we didnt realize it. (They accused my husband of losing the buttons which was not the case, just their negligence, since other people were missing items as well) Good thing this was caught prior to the wedding. Another guys suit wasnt ready until the day before. The guys could also either pay credit card or cash, in which the cash price was less. This was never mentioned to any of the guys when they were paying. My husbands pants werent hemmed when we got them and looked ridiculous. The list goes on and on.The cherry on top: the best mans shirt was ripped the day of the wedding so my husband had to sew it! All they talked about was credibility and how long they have been in business, however this meant nothing in the grand scheme of things, since everything was so screwed up. Trevor, one of the owners i presume, then spoke to another member of the bridal party about how crazy, the bride was (me) and how things go wrong in a wedding. Absolutely nothing, besides the suits, was a problem. Would not recommend Warren or Trevor (who was so obnoxious + rude) to anyone in the Amityville area.
Nice shop with helpful employees. Trevor took great care of me. Had great recommendations and worked with my style but also helped me get a little outside of my comfort zone. Everything fit perfectly. Will definitely be back in the future!
The location is very convenient to everyone who visits this town. Very clean and really well stocked and organized. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They have a wide selection of mens clothing especially official suits and shirts. This is an excellent place to purchase awesome mens clothing. Superb!!
This shop taylored the perfect suits for me. I’ve never been much of a suit person but Warren walked me through all my options and educated me on everything I should know about picking the right suit. Maybe the nicest guy i’ve ever met. I’ll never buy a suit at another place again. If you need a suit done right, this is your place.

Warren Cohn is a well known respectable man for the work he does, very professional and honest family owned since 1911 and you feel it when you walk threw the door! Trevor Decosta who works with him for 15 yrs they are good guys who knows how to dress you!!!
The owner I believe (bald guy) was a very pushie salesmen. Did not listen to what we wanted. He has something against mens wear house apparently his focus. Would never return. Overall bad experience.
Drove by a few times and there always closed when i go by. i had off yesterday and i was going to a place near by and noticed they were open so i went in to realize they had amazing clothes at a reasonable price but the service was excellent Trevor is the best i am looking forward to go back and buy more clothes for my wardrobe, what a nice clean place!! if you wanna look great you go here!!!!!!!
I recently purchased a suit and shirt from AMS. They took into consideration the look I wanted to achieve and made suggestions accordingly. The measurements and tailoring they did resulted in a great fit.
Owner Warren is extremely talented in pairing up the right shirts, pants, shoes, jackets/suits to give you the perfect look attire for every occasion.

2022-09-03Trevor and Warren are rockstars and really love what they do. Went in for a suit for a wedding. Trevor picked out different options for me and found a style that fit me perfectly. The shirt I liked wasnt available in my size, so they immediately called it in and had it ready for me within the next week or 2. They did a gorgeous and speedy job with alterations. Everything fits perfectly. To top it all off, the customer service and personal attention to detail is spectacular. Unfortunately, a car crashed through the storefront last night, but they were still there the next day, making sure to get their clients the clothes they needed. Cannot speak more highly of Amityville Mens Shop, Warren, and Trevor. Theres a reason why the place has been in business forever.

2021-12-17First time buying from Amityville Mens Shop , havent bought a suit in 20 years and had no clue what was in style . Trevor greeted me and got right to work , trying on suits , shoes , ties , shirts , I trusted his expertise and had a suit in less the 30 mins . Picked up my suit a week later , never tried it on before I left and fit perfectly , alterations were spot on . Never told my wife how much I spent on the suit , but you only live once , Thank You Trevor and staff .

2022-04-18I went in for a tie…left with a suit, shirt, new shoes, and a tie. These guys are the best and that’s why I continue to go to them. They know what they are doing and they know how to put you in the best suit for you. If you are a guy who lives on or near the south shore, this is where you should be shopping. We guys don’t get too many stores that are just for us. It’s nice to have this around.

In a world of pervasive updates and cookie preferences that lure into buying every article of clothing online, the truth is, we still need shops like Amityville Mens Shop because more often than not, we wind up spending inordinate amount of time and money on bad clothing. Additionally, when it comes to mens fashion, most staff are clueless and the inventory is bare minimum. Amitville Mens Shop is run by affable, fine people who are passionate about their business and committed to service. From the moment my son and I entered the store, he needed a tux for prom, everything about our visit was great. The place is impeccable, the inventory exceptional, and the staffs expertise comforts and educates its clientele with the kindest, most authentic care and attention that buyers appreciate.

2021-10-25Everything started off great with the salesperson/owner being friendly and knowledgeable. I was looking forward to a nice custom suit. I was measured and everything was good to go. The suit was ready a week ahead of schedule, but I stupidly didnt try it on until a few days before my event (blindly trusting them). When I tried on the suit, none of the alterations were done. I brought the suit back and then the attitude started. They made the alterations, but held the suit hostage on the day of the party (charging me an arm and a leg for a mistake they made!). The owners tune quickly changed from pleasant and professional to petty and hostile. The biggest shame is that the quality of the suit was actually good. I would have loved to refer my network to this family owned shop, if the owner was not in the business of blackmailing.

2021-09-19Let me start this off by saying the salesman was fantastic and found me the perfect jacket for my sisters rehearsal dinner. Aside from that, I made a massive mistake by forgetting to pick up the jacket the day before i had to leave. I sent an email around 10pm with slim hopes of a response. The owner called me an hour later and told me he would come in two hours early so he could get me the jacket. His exact words were “no problem, this is what family owned businesses do”. Not only would I recommend this shop, but they deserve your business. Incredibly comfortable and stylish jackets, they know what they’re doing. Both the salesman and the owner are knowledgeable, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This was my first purchase at this family owned business and I look forward to the next. I absolutely will refer them to all my friends and family on Long Island. stellar job guys.

2021-06-06We worked with Warren and Trevor for our May 15th 2021 wedding and they were absolutely amazing! We originally went to men’s warehouse and it was nothing but an issue they lost my now husband suit then they found it and it wasn’t altered correctly it was a mess. We went to Amity men’s shop and it was smooth sailing. They made a suit in less than two weeks and it was a beautiful suit. For perfect. We also got his rehearsal outfit there. I can’t recommend them enough. Will def be only using them in the future.

2020-10-31My partner and I live in NYC and happened to be talking to my brother about needing to purchase suits for our wedding. He recommended we stop by the Amityville Mens Shop and see what Warren could do for us. To be honest purchasing a suit so far from home seemed like a heavy lift, but we were willing to give it a shot. When we walked into the Shop we were immediately greeted Warren and his associate. They carefully but quickly explained our options of either renting or purchasing a suit, they explained the pluses and minuses of each option, and they asked us to explain what we envisioned for our suits….and they seemed to have actually listened.Together we made the decision that in order to get the end result my partner and I wanted we would have to purchase a suit and have tailored to our exact fit. Once that decision was made, we quickly ran through the style of suit, the color of suit, the shirt options, the tie options, the shoe options, the sock options, and the belt options. Each step of the way we felt informed but not overwhelmed. If you want to be presented with 1000 options each step of the way Im not sure this is the store for you... but if youre interested in being listened to, to being presented with 3-4 great options at each step, I can’t say enough about this store.We felt really taken care of by Warren. We’re super happy with the end result. We can’t wait to get married in a week in these suits. And in the end, even though we had to drive an hour to get our suits... wed do it all over again for this kind of service.
