This place is a hidden gem. The location doesnt have much of a sign other than a large window where you can see dozens of amps, guitars and keyboards. Paul, the man behind the counter, is a really nice guy with scores of years of experience as a musician and technician. He setup my neglected (for 20 years!) Godin Acousticaster and now it plays smooth and easy. I regret not finding Paul sooner!

My SWR Workingmans 12 had not been working for about 15 years and I had always wanted to get it repaired and I finally got to it. Amp & Guitar did a fast and impressive job of getting it working and it sounds as good as ever! I highly recommend their repair service, which I thought was reasonably priced and a quick turnaround. Thanks folks at Amp & Guitar!

Brought in my Gretsch for some pretty simple work. The screw that held the strap button became stripped and I couldn’t use it with a strap anymore. Jeff was awesome, he fixed it and said because the repair was such a simple one, he wasn’t going to charge me anything. Not too many little stores like this anymore, so it’s great to be able to support a local business and get good honest service.

Cant comment on their ability to diagnose & repair amps. However, they have no better than a basic understanding of guitar repair & a lack of customer service with regards to how they speak to customers. I would advocate that you take your business elsewhere; especially considering their egregious pricing.

With these guys there are two options: either they are not competent, or they are trying to cheat.Brought to them my Marshall JVM410h for warranty repair (it has rustling noise and red plating all four power tubes, cause of that amp died) they claimed that they checked bias and it was bad tubes so they just replaced tubes and changed $190 (job + tubes). But when I’ve came home and turned amp on rustling noise still was here so it means I’ve just bought REALLY EXPENSIVE JJ tubes :(I’ve found other Marshall warranty service shop and they found what cause the problem in amp (capacitor in bias chain) it means in Amp and Guitar Wellness Centre don’t even check amp properly just sold tubes in double priced!

Jeff is the most knowledgeable person I have every dealt with on getting advice on guitars. I have been buying guitars for myself and students from Jeff for nearly 10 years. He demonstrates equal respect and attention to both professionals and beginners. He also ensures that you can visit the store under COVID safety precautions.

After getting a good explanation of how I could fix the tuning knob on my guitar at home (for free), I asked to see and consequentially bought a guitar from this store. They adjusted the neck and included some free gear and advice. Im surprised some reviewers had a negative experience; mine was pleasant. The store and selection is on the smaller side, but has a lot of cool items, old and new. Most the guitars were under $1000 which I feel is rare in small stores. Will return.

Jeff Bloch is the owner of this cool, old school music store. They specialize in used and vintage gear and repairs. I have been dealing with Jeff for over 40 years, purchased two vintage guitars and three old Fender amps from him. I moved to Pennsylvania, 25 years ago and still travel to Brooklyn when in need of a repair or set-up.

Ive been visiting this place for years. They dont sell the kind of junk youll find at chain stores. I kind of scoped them out before getting any work done. These guys are serious professionals. I just got my Rhodes piano back from them and its in better shape than its ever been in my 25 years owning it. It needed significant work and that costs money. I asked about having just some of the work done to save money, but they said something to the effect of a job worth doing is worth doing right. Im sure glad I listened. They really hooked me up and I dont think they even charged me for all of the hours it must have taken. Superb professional service.

I brought my Epiohone Broadway to Amp and Guitar wellness center to get a set up and the pickup toggler, which was faulty, replaced. They did a great job. The guitar sounds so much better now and its so much easier to play. Great place for repairs.
