An empanada should shatter just a bit, especially on the corner with the first bite and then settle in for a good doughy chew and be bursting with flavorful insides. These empanada were everything you want them to be. Pictured here is the Oreo, super rich and satisfying. We also have the chicken, beef and chicken bacon ranch. Oh and the dreamy nutella. All perfect, tho the beef one could have done with a tablespoon more filling. Would it be wrong to go back in 4 hours for Taco Tuesday?
My wife and I have a gluten allergy so unfortunately cant try a lot of the menu. Just moved to the area, went there for the first time, and its very clean and friendly. The pupusas are amazing! And you have to try some of their smoothies and fresh juices. 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ +⭐
I came in to check out their empanadas and walked out with pupusas, corn tamals, and the most delicious mango juice on this planet 😋. Great customer service 👍👍
We bought empanadas for students in the Middle School. The owner was wonderful- so was the guy at the register. Wonderful customer service and even better empanadas! Great price as well.

I’m a painter I travel all over and stop by many places , these young guys go out their way and the food is Fresh and stuffed my new favorite spot (the bearded painter ).
Super clean, and chic local spot. Great food something for everyone, FRIENDLY staff. My favorite are the beef empanadas, refresher. Oh try the steak burrito. Budget friendly.
The best empanadas! My favorite is the shrimp but they are all fantastic. Cant wait to try some of the other menu items.

2022-01-08I read about this place on A social media mom’s group and I must say the name of the place is deceiving and this is the definition of a hidden gemI ordered the Pollo Frito, fried chicken, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This was an extremely generous portion of perfectly seasoned and cooked food. The family that owns the restaurant/bakery was very accommodating and friendly. I also had the chicken empanada but that did not make it home for the picture. 😀Everything was delicious and the taste so amazing, even the French fries were lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I am looking forward to trying much more of their menu. The prices were very reasonable for the portion and there was a lot of love put into this plate.

2022-05-01Food was outstanding, service was even better. Came in a few hours before a 50 person party in a pinch. The staff was so kind, helpful and professional. They were able to get tacos together and delivered, and they made it all so easy for us! Everyone loved the food. The empanadas are literally the best.

2022-05-28I had such a wonderful experience with this bakery, from ordering to delivery and let me tell you about the empanadas….omg, they are DELICIOUS!!! My guests inhaled them!!! 2022-07-22Sooomm slapping dominican empanadas. Chicken and cheese was on point with the seasoning. And the dough was crispy and perfectly fried. When you have a picky taste bud you def want to try this joint out. This is def the place where u remember that your in NY getting REAL spanish food. I will try pupusas next.

2022-01-11Visited this Mom & pop place the other day with my wife Maureen. We were in the mood for tacos. Let me start with how friendly the staff at this joint was, very professional and kind. They have a long list of things on their menu and all of them sound amazing. I ordered the shrimp tacos and my wife ordered the Panda tacos ( not panda meat, its just a name people) we were both pleased by how great the food tasted and they definitely earned two new customers for life. If youre looking for good authentic delicious food you need to visit these guys right away! I work with a lot of Spanish guys and they told me to ask for these tacos called Bira tacos next time Im in the neighborhood Im going to ask these guys if they carry them! Seriously you wont be disappointed with this joint!

2022-01-31I’ve gone here many times now and EVERY experience was great! The place is clean and inviting, the staff is very friendly and respectful, and the food is always amazing! My favorite thing to order is the Salvadoran breakfast since it is the closest thing to my best friend’s home cooking I’ve encountered (other than when I was actually in El Salvador with her family). I love their tamales and their pupusas as well! Definitely fairly priced especially considering quality of the food I’ve received and the whole “COVID” affect on everything from financial security of worker and employer to shortages and increase prices in terms of supply chain. Great all around I definitely recommend!

2021-09-21Always messes up my order. Burnt and reheated food once again. Ive never gotten fresh food from this place. Tamales are rock hard. They are known for selling bad food. Stay away from this place

2022-03-10If you havent gone to Anamelis it is a must go! Let me just say how friendly and accepting the staff are here. I went to try this place with my sister who is special needs and non verbal. They were so patient with her and even showed pictures off their Instagram account so she can pick what she wanted to eat. I ordered the Panda tacos and she ordered the steak tacos. They were both amazing! The panda tacos are made with fresh handmade tortillas and the steak was delicious and soft. We also had some empanadas! They are the best empanadas in town! You have to try their dessert empanadas!!! It was such a great experience I will go again! I will 100% have them cater my next event!
