Hmmm lots of 1 star reviews from accounts that were just created in the last 24 hours and this is the ONLY review theyve ever written... Looks like someone is trying to damage the reputation of this salon, which does nothing but provide great service. I recommend Tasso to anyone in the area!
Taso has always treated my family like his own, made my children very comfortable when they first started getting hair cuts, shop is very clean and its what other shops should strive to be like.
Great place. Great people. Clean and professional. Dunno where all the negative reviews are coming from. Obviously theyve never been to the salon.

I thought they were friendly when I walked in. The entire time I was there I heard the staff talk about customers left & right in Greek. So make sure you bring your Greek friend! I wouldnt return my blow out lasted 2 days and the products didnt seem salon worthy (no scent) also they changed the price after so beware.

I asked for a bayleage and i walked out of there with ordinary highlights. ALL MY RELATIVES AND FRIENDS urged me to go back and to complain! It looks like the lady barely touched my hair and I wanted a rosy blonde and I walked out of there with an ASHY GREEN. I also asked for FULL PRICE before we started -- and at the end they jacked up the price 20 dlrs. I THINK AT 180DLRS I souldve walked out of there with a spectacular hair job, but what i walked out of there was a robbery. Theyre lucky i dont call the Better Business Bureau on them. Also, I felt they were talking about me in their native language.
Got my wife a gift certificate for her birthday. Very friendly courteous staff. My wife loved her expiernce there.

I came here to support Anastasios but when I walked in and saw All the senior ladies from Giorgios now working here I walked right out. They put Giorgios out of business 2 years ago and his store is still for rent. And that Litsa, can she even see? Why is she holding scissors?

2021-12-05I have been here before for a haircut and wanted to get my hair dyed. I was told the prices went up $50? I didn’t see any tool being sanitized and the products used to wash my hair were below salon expectations. In addition, I was left with bleach in my hair for an hour so she could tend to another client. My hair came out so bad and blotchy and orange. You can see in the picture my balayage is horrible. My hair looks half dyed and she did the top part. I will NEVER return here. I was told my “treatment” caused a bad dye job. About 5inches of My roots is natural hair. Not to mention when you get your hair washed you will end up wet all over your face and back. When I mentioned it I was told “it’s just water”. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

2021-09-15I can’t say enough about this salon.1. Marianna and Taso are lovely, warm welcoming people who work extremely hard to keep their salon clean and neat- they have been hit hard by the pandemic but have done an extraordinary job ensuring the entire place is COVID-19 compliant and safe.2. I have been getting my hair extensions done for years (8 to be exact) every 6 months i get a new set of extensions. I’ve met my favorite stylist there!3. They are very knowledgeable about hair types and which products to use to promote healthy hair. Their hair treatments really work and they know exactly how to fix the worst damage! I’ve seen a girl go in with a wad of bead hair extensions knotted to the nape of her neck she came in crying and they were able to get her out of that mess without having to cut off hair or go bald.. honestly i wouldn’t have known what to do in that situation but they did!4. They are very reasonably priced. They are a high end salon with stylists who studied and worked in Europe and they use great product yet they won’t burn a hole in your pocket.5. They are conveniently located in Astoria right off the R -46th street train stop. This is super convenient for me as i don’t have a car and it is easily accessible by train.6. They stay open late! If there’s hair to be done they’re there.Anyway i just wanted to put the most detailed review i could to let people know that this is a great salon and i highly recommend you go here especially for color and hair extensions!Look at my hair! It’s so beautiful I’m so happy!!!!

2021-05-05I have gotten my hair done from here several times. They are great with customer service and do an excellent job. They use high end products as well.If you look at the negative reviews they are not real and coming from one hateful person. Give this business a chance. They are absolutely excellent.

2021-05-05My wife went here after looking for a salon closer to her job. Staff was great, very personable and friendly. She loved the cut and color she received and appreciated the suggestions from the staff. Great price and alot of services. Definitely recommends.

2021-05-11Not only were the stylists not wearing their mask correctly but they were rude. I was not happy with my hair and the overall service/ experience was mediocre. I was surprised after reading all these awesome reviews because the reviews did not AT ALL match the service. THEN on my way out they practically BEGGED me to write them a good review... that explains it. Dont trust what you read.

2021-05-01Went here for a keratin perm. I asked if it was a perm they said yes. I paid $120 with tip for the perm and my hair is completely natural. They dont know what they are doing. I messaged the salon on Facebook they told me it was $100 but when I went they tried to charge $120 for no reason. Not to mention they asked where I was from and said no you dont look Italian, italian people are big. Who says that in front of a client??? I would definitely not recommend this salon. A complete waste of money. They do not know what they are doing. If anything my hair is WORSE than before I went here. My hair is dry and much more frizzy. Also, they were not wearing their mask correctly during a PANDEMIC. Horrible salon.

2021-05-05Taso worked a miracle with my hair. I never thought the damage done could be reversed. Fixed my color and it was just how I wanted it to look. Since I started going here, my hair feels so much healthier and isn’t breaking like it was before. Thank you thank you thank you Taso!!!

2021-05-05Visited Anastasios a few days ago for a regular haircut and trimming/shaping up my beard... I usually go to regular barbershop but going here I see a major difference in technic and style plus all the staff are very friendly! Highly recommended!!!
