Anatolia in other cities:
This is the BEST quality Turkish/Mediterranean food you can find in the tri-state and I am from the region! I read the reviews before I started writing my review and couldnt understand people claiming microwaved food. They must be uneducated and lack culture AND must not be used to eating real authentic high quality food like Anatolia serves.
Before we begin, I give this place 8/10. Now let’s start. I called ahead and asked if they did dine in and they responded in the positive. Parked the car in their parking lot, which I have to say is very convenient. Walked in and saw that there were only 5 customers in a relatively large restaurant and thus, walked in. I was seated immediately and ordered Chicken Shish and some hummus with falafels. I also ordered some Turkish tea and they served me some pita bread with butter while I waited. Pita bread was soft and the butter just melted on top of it. While I waited, gotta say that the music was nice. Kept me in the mood to eat lol. The tea was brought very soon with two sugar cubes. It gave a slightly butter aroma, so I quickly added a sugar cube. Took a sip and found it was good tea. The hummus was nice and thick, very tasty and the falafel was a bit different from what I’m used to, but it was good nonetheless. The main order came in a big plate, very nice. I looked at it and didn’t think I could eat all of it. The chicken was juicy and soft. The rice could have been warmer but the vegetables were fresh and amazing. The salad had some spice on it along with some olive oil. The yogurt sauce that came with it was light and cool. I ordered an extra immediately, the cup was pretty small and I knew I would plow through it. Overall this was a pretty good experience. 7/10. Rice could have used just a bit of spice. Were a bit bland. The chicken more than made up for it though. Still gave it a 4 instead of a 3, rounded up cause they deserve it. Must try. Next time, I will order the Iskender. As I paid the bill and waited for the check, I put the other sugar cube and finished my tea. Good times. Also the waitress was very nice, so 8/10 instead .Shams out :)
Food is amazing,Chef is amazing, Waiters are amazing. Probably the best Turkish food I have ever tasted in my life and a very nice space to eat. The air is filtered so that you are not breathing in smoke and the walls are 3D printed which makes it even cooler. One thing though, make sure to get lamb not lamb and beef mixed together otherwise you won’t get the beautiful natural flavored of the lamb alone, and make sure to rub the green pepper on the lamb if you like spice. Otherwise the food is amazing.
Splendid restaurant service great waitters very attentive and professional knows their dishes and very helpful place clean Follow Covid19 regulations plenty of space in the dining area they also have their own parking lot next to them.Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Ordered a couple of dinners and soup for Uber delivery. The special mix dinner was over $30 and a chicken shish kabob dinner was $21+. I ordered two different types of rice and hummus on the side. The portion sizes were very small and we were missing a rice and hummus. Uber Eats does not take responsibility and despite two attempts at contacting the restaurant, there was no resolution. The food was relatively tasty but based on missing items and the small size of the portions, given the price, I would not recommend.
We went with another couple. Service was a little on the slow side, but our server was new, so I will cut her some slack. However, she forgot to bring me the Red Lentil Soup I ordered. Prices are reasonable. However, all of us ordered various forms of lamb in differing combinations. We all remarked that the lamb, while tasty, was a bit overgrilled, and therefore dry. The bulgur that accompanies any main course is excellent. Nice substitute for white rice. You also get half a hot pepper - nice zing. There is a singer on Saturday night, who sings songs from around the world - Turkish, Persian, French, Spanish and English. Not sure if we will go back, since it is a long drive from Eastern Nassau, and there are other Turkish places closer. However, it could be worth a try if you are in the area.
The absolute worst place to book a private party! We only booked a party because we last year had a great experience with Max and Elena for the baby shower. Everything was on point! This time around Çan aka John had the audacity to book our babys 1st birthday for 60 people as well as book another party of 15 at the same time! We had agreed on bringing a DJ, Clowns, using the dance floor. Setting up a back drop, dessert table etc. John never had the tables set up when we got there, no tablecloths. We had to buy our own at party city. John didnt want to go to his stock room to collect 3 more chairs that we needed so we had to set up our own tables with chairs and booths attached!! The service was horrible, I never experienced worse table service in my life! Only one blond waitress was actually trying to do the best she can for 60 people. John and his assistant the brunette just stood there like statues. We had to get our own drinks and clear our own tables Not accommodating at all. I actually liked this place alot before this experience. I never had to deal with such an unprofessional owner in my life. We basically had to set up the entire room and tables and clean up. Never even approaching to take over and do what theyre supposed to do or should have been done before we got there. The party of 15 came and started arguing with us as if we booked both parties in one room! This is completely Johns fault. We had to clear the plates off the tables to make room for the cake and desserts. This should be done by the service crew. We didnt get to enjoy our own party because we had to make sure our guests were served Next time I know not to ever book a party here again. Nor will I ever come to have a casual lunch or dinner here again like I used to.
I have been to this place many times with my wife and friends for special occasions and last time we were disappointed by a new waitress. We were always greeted warmly by the best and lovable waitress in the restaurant Valentina, who always guided us through the menu and wine. Valentina is an amazing waitress, attentive, entertaining, and knowledgeable. She is a huge asset to the restaurant and deserves many compliments. We will definitely be back soon!
We really enjoyed our visit. We all loved the food, the meat was great! Only small thing was the side salad with our meals was random, it had had corn and croutons in it and didn’t taste like a regular Turkish/mediterranean salad but other than we loved the place. It had great ambiance, nicely decorated with great food and was spacious enough from guests that we all felt comfortable! Would definitely recommend 🙂 and seems like a great place to have events/parties.
The food that Anatolia has is unbelievable. The turkish pizza with all the meats is just WOW! The service is always phenomenal. Every time I go to Anatolia I get greeted by Aleyna and she is hands down the best waitress. Her smile, her energy and her willingness to go above and beyond to make sure my order is exactly how I want it. Just go and youll thank me later.
This place is honestly amazing. The atmosphere really felt cultural in a way with the seat layout. The food really tasted great!! The service was outstanding! I certainly would come back again. The food options here, even desserts, are some that I don’t think you can find at many places!
We just ordered take out, the Anatolia special Mix. We picked the order up. The restaurant was newly refurbished and lovely. The outside seating was inviting. Would like to try dining in next time. The food was Delicious, the meat was tender and flavorful. The ;portion was perfect. The pita was warm and fluffy. White sauce yummy!Supporting local business, i totally recommend and will try again!
We have enjoyed their food in the past, but this time they handled our order poorly. We ordered off of Seamless at 5:30pm, with a delivery time around 6:10. The driver works directly for the restaurant, so this was not a fault on Seamless.Around 6:30 we called inquiring about the food, and were told the driver was out for delivery. At 7:20, still no food. We tried calling the restaurant and no one picked up...repeatedly.Finally the food arrived at 7:40. Of course, it was missing items. We spoke to the driver, who said it would take him 30 minutes to get back to the restaurant to pick up the missing food.We never saw or heard from him again. So, two hour wait + cold food + incorrect order = you just lost a repeat customer.
Came here for a Valentine’s Day dinner in which I called prior to make reservations. When I arrived with my wife, we were told they weren’t giving the full menu; it was fixed menu of a mixed dip platter for appetizers, soft drinks and tea, mixed meat platter with salad and rice for the main, and a dessert for $100. We agreed and then when seated asked again if we can have the option for a full menu and the waitress said no. We then saw multiple people and couples who arrived after us, who was given the full menu and ordering food of what they chose. My wife politely asked the waitress why were other people allowed to order from the full menu and she replied “oh that’s for drinks”. She clearly lied. Our food came and was cold. Not coming here again.
This restaurant is probably has the best Mediterranean food in Long Island. The food is very delicious and the customer service they provide is phenomenal. The waitress are very polite. We were served by Valentine and she was super kind and such a sweetheart. I highly recommend it to others.
Everything they serve here is amazing! This is in my top 3 Turkish restaurants in New York. If youve never eaten Turkish food before, order this:-lentil soup-Shepards salad-Anatolia special mix-KunefeThe bread there is amazing as well. Waiters were very fast and kind. Their indoor seating is really nice, and they have outdoor seating with heating.
There food is delicious; chicken shish kebab platters are my go to; I’ve eaten at this place so many times that I’ve lost count! Hummus is delicious - and my favourite is the baklava! -Their platters are filled with salad and chicken; you can choose wether you want brown rice or white rice - majority of the stuff they offer on the menu is customisable to your liking..Their seating area is top notch and extremely cozy: service is very friendly and professional; they’re fairly quick too. They host parties as well; I had two birthday parties done here; and the service was lovely! Food was fresh as well; every single time. (They offer delivery as well) - you can order from their website too; either for delivery or pick up.I always recommend people this restaurant; because I’m confident that their food quality and taste is delicious and consistent.Love the restaurant overall - price wise is fairly okay for what they offer; but not cheap by any means; I would give it 2 dollar signs out of 5.
Went here for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! The food, and atmosphere was great. Incredible customer service, my waitress Ipek was by far the best waitress I have ever had. She was extremely nice, helpful, and I will definitely be asking for her when I go back!
Food and service was good only thing that was a little off was they automatically added 20% gratuity to the bill which I did not have any issues with but after we paid the bill the waitress came back and said that the gratuity was for the cooks and not for the waiting staff. I found that to be very odd they should be listing that somewhere or posting it so its clearly understood.the following reply is for the owner who replied to this comment a few hours back. sorry it looks like i cannot reply to your comment.we were there for fathers day lunch on Sunday 6/21 around 2 pm. I did not want to argue with the waitress for a tip on top a tip because i did not want to draw too much attention in front of my family.I believe there were 3 waitress at the time but the one that came to us was not the one that served us, she said the other girls chose her to come and tell me about the Tip breakdown and how 20% was all for the kitchen/cooks and not for the waiting staff.the reservation were made under my name for 10 people between 1:45 to 2:15 pm, if you need me to clarify anything further than just contact me.
My friend and I went to Anatolia for late lunch. I was extremely disappointed at their service and food. The waitress first of all basically forced to order whatever they provide without any substitutions, she refused to ask the manager. She gave the attitude either you eat as is or we remove whatever you dont want, for example instead of Salad if you just want Rice, you will still get the same portion of Rice and they will not give you salad yet charge you the same price. You do not have choices of any types of sauces with the meal, either you take their yoghurt sauce or they charging you extra for Tahini sauce (which is also brown in color, which is very unusual as Mediterranean use tahini sauce that is light in color and much more liquidy) this tahini was brown and very pastey which wasnt good at all. To make things worst they charged extra for essentially couple tablespoon for this paste they call sauce. The portions are very small for the price, their chicken kebab is alright, but their chicken adana is very bland, tough and dry. Lastly, the waitress service was very lousy as well. I hope they provide the service and food that is more customer catered rather than restaurant profit oriented.
I was a guest of a party last Friday. Covid rules were not followed because they allowed us to dance and walk around without wearing a mask all night. Men got served food and 30 minutes later ladies got served food past 9PM. Owner didn’t seem concerned guests were waiting so long for food and was giving employees a hard time in front of customers. Wouldn’t want to book my party here with poor management.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Hempstead, NY. I was introduced to this place by a friend. The service is unmatched and staff truly cares about your experience. The food is amazing – I usually order their mix grill, everything we tasted was pretty good specially the chicken shish... Absolutely the best turkish meal I had in a while.
Went here for lunch today, they were so generous and offered us free appetizers and tea on the house. The waitress is really kind and helpful. They were kind enough to make me an off-menu item with extra veggie add-ons for my pide. Thanks Anatolia for great service and food. Been a customer since 2018, but today was our first time dining in, We will be back :)
I ordered on Mothers Day. I wanted to treat myself to a delicious lamb dinner so i ordered the lamb mixed grill and it was absolutely amazing. I also ordered the baklava which is exceptional. Great flavor and fresh vegetables. I would recommend anatolia a thousand percent.
If I could give this place a zero I would disrespectful… and be aware of a 20% group fee that’s doesn’t include tip they say it a fee for a group 6 and more.. which is total fraud because I never in life was charge a group fee when I went out with my husband and 4 kids.. I was never told about a group fee before they seated me because if they did I would’ve left. I never made a reservation for a party or doing out to eat with my kids and husband should be a group fee.. The waitress spoke to the manger and he didn’t wnat to come talk to me he saw me and just walked in the back because he knows that was a fraud charge soooo disrespectful I will never go back their again… plus all their appetizers are all from cans food.. PLEASE BE AWARE 20% disgusting
First time ordering from this restaurant I must say the food is really good the bulgar rice is especially delicious so is the yogurt sauce and the lamb kebabs are juicy and tender the only complaint that I have about the lamb kebabs. There really small 4 little sticks would have liked more meat but they were so tasty.
Second time I have gone to Anatolia and have OVERPAID for a salad. I paid 20 dollars for an Anatolia salad WITH chicken and got, no exaggeration 3 small cubes of meat. The salad was no greens and all red peppers. I will be going to AVLI in west Hempstead on hempstead turnpike. ANATOLIA will no longer receive my business or be recommended
Amazing food, beautiful environment. I was there with a large party. They had a saxophonist playing for us, and brought out an excellent complimentary dessert. They were very accommodating of our partys varying dietary needs, letting us know about ingredients and bringing items out on seperate plates as needed.Everything is made fresh on site,Try any of the dips, the lahmacun, the adana kebab, and the red cabbage, all of them were amazing.
Good food but you make sure you call one day before so you can get your food in time, at least i order ones a week and everytime delivery comes after 2 h of ordering and they tell you 35-40 min. :( so disappointed with them, and its the last time ordering from you guys.
My son and I each had the iskender. The layer of meat covered a mountain of pide bread. The food was cold, except for one steamy hot spot on both plates. It couldve used more tomato sauce, as it was not in proportion to the pide and meat. Rating on flavor alone, it was 4 🌟 and as close as we could get to our favorite meal in Istanbul.I couldnt overlook the temperature of the food. Also, not until we got home did we realize that we never received our rice, nor the salad.
Literally my favorite Turkish spot on Long Island. The chicken mixed grill with bulgur rice is my absolute fave! I used to live on Kebab Factory in mineola and when I found out they closed, I was crushed. But Anatolia is so much better. The food is incredible and they deliver!
This is the best Turkish food i’ve ever eaten in my life. If you like Turkish food or you wanna try something different you’d be doing yourself a favor by coming here. Even if you’re unaware of the Turkish cuisine you would love this place. give it a try this deserves to be one of the best places on the map for Turkish Food
We bought lahmacun but the meat was very salty. I was very disappointed. In respond to the owner comment that this is not fake profile. Matter of fact we bought a couple of soups other day, there were like water. We called and mentioned the issues. The lady who answered the phone did not even said sorry. She said ooohhh okay is this how you train your employees! I can not believe it!!!
I ordered the lamb adana kebab for lunch through doordash today and I thought I would have half then save half for dinner. This did not happen...I ate it all in one sitting because it was delicious and I couldn’t stop so I get zero stars for self control, lol. Amazing food! I recommend highly.
I Live close by and I am so glad they are still open and serving these delicious food. Excellent service with plenty of parking . Been there few times with friends and family and everyone loved it . I hope they stay open and survive these hardships during the pandemic.
Everyday different chef and different tastes price was unbelievable high for the West Hempstead!!!!Late delivery, wrong orderWe will give you order everyday spend more than 150$ a day !!!!Today we’re order 10,lahmacun it was Absolutely disasterWhat’s wrong with you guys ????
La verdas is one of the worst places to work to the employees they offer them $ 12.75 per hour they exploit them working more than 10 hours a day and when it comes time to pay they end up paying $ 9.50 per hour and they still pay by personal check, the truth for me that is an abuse by the restaurant owner

2021-09-08I used to go-to that place previously when it was called Istanbul kebab house and even that time food was amazing. But I heard that management was changed and so wanted to give it a try again since I noticed ppl were giving a good reviews and Id say it was worth every dollar. The food was amazing, the chef came out with our dishes and he was generous to give us extra portions. Besides, the service was top notch. It reminded me the old Chef who used to serve us wonderful food along with some freebies since we were his regular customer. Anyways, overall very satisfied with the food and the services. Id highly recommend to anyone.Oh I almost forgot to mention, the interior and the ambience was amazing. I love every bit of it. It was drastic change from the old version I remember. Good job 👍I hope they would continue serving good food going forward and Id definitely swing by very often 🙂

2022-06-20This is my first experience @ this place and i am not impress by food or service with hefty price tag. The ambiance was okay and music was loud enough. I had way better food and service in other Turkish spots. I would not try again.

2021-09-06Great place to eat Turkish food. The place is very well decorated and the ambiance is quiet and great for enjoying quality food with friends and family.Service was really good and the servers are very friendly. We tried their platter and it was delicious. Lamb shank and kebab is highly recommended. The chef personally served the food and it was one of the best Turkish food I’ve ever had. Price and portion of food compliment each other.Highly recommended!!

2022-02-26Came as a group. Nice decor. At the time we came it looked like they was not enough stuff but food came pretty fast. All was good - my only drawback was it was to salty - not sure that is the turkish way or chef had a heavier salt hand that day. Would like to check it again one day. There is an option for a small celebration setting.

2021-11-13I have been searching for authentic Turkish restaurants for a long time and visited a lot of places, but this is the best Turkish restaurant I have been to.Their interior decoration and choice of music really takes your mind back to Turkey. They have a wide range of foods to choose from. We took the Anatolia Special Mix and Lahmacun. We were two person I would say that was more than enough for us.After arriving they serve complimentary pita bread. It was super fresh and tasted super amazing. I would say it can be a dish on it’s own.On the Mix platter they served Lamb Shish, Chicken shish, Chicken kebab and Lamb Liver. All of them tasted super amazing. Among all I absolutely loved the Lamb Shish Kebab. It will not be capping if I say that’s the best lamb shish I have tried around Long Island. The Lahmacun was also good but we were super full so couldn’t feel the full taste of it.They also serve Turkish soda Uludag. It was something different that I will suggest you to try.We also ordered the Turkish Coffee. The Coffee was average but they presented it in actual Turkish way. This place is usually quite busy and they have live performance sometimes during the evening. We went during lunch hour so it was pretty empty. The waiters are pretty welcoming over here and have a good knowledge over the food.

2022-05-06Great restaurant! I came for lunch and really enjoyed the delicious food and great service. The manti is to die for and the best I have ever eaten in the US. The bread is crispy and fresh. Highly recommended!

2021-08-25I came by here with some family recently and we ordered a mix of things. The inside is beautiful and the hostess was incredibly friendly. However I wasn’t a huge fan of some of the dishes. I got the chicken shish kebab and although my chicken was actually very juicy and tender, my rice was room temp and didn’t taste fresh. The bread they gave us once seated was something that easily reminded me of the bread found in supermarkets. Both salad and rice had a strong taste of olives (yes I know olive oil is typically used but it had a strange aftertaste). I’ve never actually tasted olives in my rice or salad before. The gyro was actually very tasty and the manti as well. But the salad lacked flavor and for the price we paid, I expected something better. The lemonade wasn’t fresh and reminded me of Minute Maid. My biggest issue with our seating was the number of mosquitos and flies!! One even landed in my lemonade. It made it hard to enjoy myself and the constant biting around my ankles was enough to lose my appetite. Such a shame bc the place really is beautiful.
