Love this rustic deco Turkish restaurant. The foods are good. I always like to order the combination of meats platers. So delicious with yogurt and hot sauce on top of the meats with plenty of onions. The servers are very attentive. I’d recommend anyone to come here for good foods.
Past this place a bunch of times next had the opportunity to stop till today. This place is very busy so if you have the chance call in your order before. Order the Chicken Gryo Sandwich on Turkish bread. Everything was extremely tasty and well cooked. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back for more!
I have never before felt compelled to write a negative review about a restaurant, that is, until now. Anatolian Gyro is beyond gross! I ordered calamari from the restaurant via Grubhub, and what I got looked like somebody pulled the calamari out of the trash and fried it up. To add insult to injury, when I called the restaurant for a refund because the food was so bad, the manager said that a delivery person would come by and pick up the food to make sure it was not eaten. LMAO! That is beyond unprofessional! I ordered 4 items and only wanted to return 1. The other food items were not very good either, but I never requested my money back. (And everything was cold) Overall, terrible restaurant with garbage food.
Disgusting customer service. Current person who takes orders over the phone should be fired pronto. Ive been eating here since I was born and the workers who take orders get more and more rude over the years. I tried making a regular delivery order and all of a sudden we dont take card over the phone. When I got there in person its now we only take card over the phone if youve ordered many times before, we only take card over the phone when your order is large, and sometimes the machine doesnt work. Which one is it? Why does somebody have to call me back to apologize for the previous person being rude and for hanging up on me mid order?
This is our families go to for dinner. The calf liver is a must try and their cold appetizers are always on point. I think their chicken shish kabob could have a bit more flavor, bit its good. Their portions are reasonable so I suggest you get that appetizer or an additional side.
Gyro is too fatty. I did not finish the gyro wrap . The wrap itself was amazing. But the gyro meat was mostly cartlidge and unchewable fat. Disappointed.Edit: decreasing two stars to one star. You definitely do not use the best ingredients possible for the gyro . Please change your gyro recipe entirely. Thank you.
Anatolian is like Starbucks. Sometimes the gyro meat is amazing. Other times the meat has no taste at all. I don’t understand how a restaurant can forget to put spices and salt. They make the gyro meat everyday, you would think they know the correct portion in order for the food to taste good.
NEVER GOING TO ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. The WORST customer service I’ve ever had. The food I ordered came over an hour late with only a quarter of the order!!! The main dishes were missing! All I got was the bread and some undercooked meat! It was late and my kids were hungry but we decided not to make dinner. Instead we thought ordering would be less time consuming and less work for us. When I called to explain my frustration, the receptionist transferred me to someone else. Then that person kept putting me on hold and asking me to repeat the story over twice. Then she said she’ll send my order again. At this point my kids had to be in bed in an hour. I asked her when. She said “soon”! With no remorse. No care. Just “soon”. I tried to explain the details to her as to why I’m asking. She seemed to get frustrated and didn’t have a legitimate answer. It’s ok to mess up on an order. It happens. But to mess up on an entire order, wait over and hour and still get treated poorly? Not very appreciative. I told her I expected a partial refund for the inconvenience. She responded as if that was a joke.To top it off, the food came and wasn’t that great. I’ve been their customer for years. My family and my extended family often ate there. This was the last time.
The food came an hour later, bread was hard as a rock and the food was cold. When i called the female who answered the phone was EXTREMELY RUDE and told me to take it up with seamless. Horrible staff, rude female shouldn’t is losing the business money. Try beyti, much better food cheaper price.
We tried this restaurant last week & it was an amazing experience! We loved the food; especially the salads. The fish is great too. The staff is very polite, attentive & welcoming. This is a small restaurant which is family oriented. Very cozy! The desserts are delicious. We wanted to try something new & we were extremely pleased with the service, the food & the price. Love it!
If I could give it to zero Stars I would have. What happened to this place.. the place is a mess theres no organization all the orders are thrown on one table and one dirty troll looking guy is the expediter trying to sort out everybodys orders it was crazy. Of course my order was wrong kabob instead of a gyro the Kabob meat was raw in the gyro sandwich was just full of pieces of fat on the menu it says chicken breast the meat is not chicken breast its possibly chicken thigh meat or another type of animal but its dark me tons of fat. Do not go to this place theres a lot of other Mediterranean kebab restaurants
We were looking for gyros near us and boy did we find them! We ordered pick up because, well we all know why. Everything was hot and ready when we arrived. We were glad to see so many outgoing orders because that usually means everything is fresh. And it was.We had a lamb gyro and shish kebab both on Turkish bread as well as a hummus appetizer. Absolutely delicious. The shisk kebab was actually med-rare! Something I have never been able to get! The bread was sublime. The service was friendly and efficient. This was our first time here. It wont be our last!
Service is trash. Food is hit or miss. Some days it is amazing other days the lamb is gray, bland and cold. There are better Turkish spots out there. Its also very expensive for what youre getting. The difference between a small and a large platter is negligible but the price sure isnt. Delivery is the worst though, hope you like cold, congealed shawarma meat.
My first visit there. The staff was nice. The atmosphere was also nice and cozy.I ordered lamb chops to go.You get 4 chops on a bed of PLAIN WHITE RICE with tomatoes and lettuce. It cost about $21.00 plus tax. THE LAMB CHOPS WERE PAPER THIN AND BLAND. This will be my one and only visit there.
Hello.I placed a simple order of chicken gyro & eggplant salad for delivery today 1.21.20at 3:44pm. I called after 1 hour asking what’s going on and they told me the delivery on the way. My wife stopped by to pick up food for herself since she’s worked in the neighborhood, I asked her to find out what’s going on and she asked in person and they told her the delivery guy is on the way, that’s already hour and half after placing the order. I called again after 2 hours telling them I’m waiting for food for 2 hours and they keep on telling me the delivery guy is on the way. Since I guess there was a shift change the girl finally admit she doesn’t know what’s going with this delivery and she can send new order right away. She did send it right away and I got the delivery after 15/20 min with overall waiting time for almost 2 & half hours. The big plate of chicken gyro was full with rice topped with a thin layer of chicken gyro, I didn’t order rice gyro.Bad service, bad timing, bad credibility, bad manners and very average food quality. Not recommended!
Food was super fresh...had the bronzini...could not have been better prepared...skin was crispy fish was moist. DELICIOUS! Beet salad and Shepards salad were excellent and not overseasoned. Bread basket came with warm fresh bread that was nice and light. Excellent Turkish tea and baklava to finish the meal. Service was excellent and place was VERY clean.
Turkish place, perfect for a quick snack, fast practical service, good food feels fresh and provided with care. The place does not allow for an extended stay, is eat & go, but for the price & speed it is worth it. Very low prices I have to say.The entrance also provides typical Mediterranean sweets baked in the premises & imported from different places as well as some kitchen items like the CEZVE, typical coffee pot and other curiosities. Not bad for a quick snack if youre around that side of Brooklyn.
My first time dining here and the food is absolutely delicious. We had the lamb gyro sandwich and we couldnt stop smiling. The level of flavor in the juicy lamb was out of this world. The ambience is warm and cozy with enough room to have a private conversation. The dessert was delectable, the Tres Leches and the Almond cake surprised me with complex levels of flavor. The nuttiness of the almond cake with its soft texture is perfect. The superstar is the Tres Leches, each piece I took with my fork you can see tiny cascades of milk drip down the sides and the smooth velvety texture and taste blew my mind. Please eat here, my waiter was very nice and super knowledgeable about the entire menu and very nice. Good people, delicious food, Anatolian Gyro puts passion into their food, it gets my highest recommendation.
If you are looking for tasty and reasonably priced Mediterranean food, look nor more: Anatolian gyro is just the place. I know this place for more than 3 years and like every dinner at that place. The food is fresh, tasty and portions are generous. I my opinion, salads and meat dishes are super tasty, while fish is ok. A bonus: you can always bring in your wine for free.
Talk about a place substantially going downhill, either management or ownership has recently changed. My last 3 orders something is missing, I just dont know how this is possible. I ordered for the last time, I called to have my missing items redelivered and they told me to go dispute it with my Cc company or wait 60 minutes. Food was always half decent, but this was the last straw. When theres a million other Turkish places on every corner, someone will pick up my business. If you want to be disappointed after waiting for over an hour for your order, try them, if not, go elsewhere
They are so cheap. We asked extra bread and they did not want to give. We said we would pay for it However, they still do not want to give claiming that the food is not coming with the bread. They were so rude. We got up and left eating. We were shocked by the treatment. Insane! This is what is the costumer service is in that restaurant. They are not hungry business. That`s why they do not care what you think and what you will say about them. Be careful, you may get the same treatment!!!
This place been much better back in a day, but recently changed for the worst. One of the examples: ordered a food today, we in the same zip code, waiting for 1 hour and 52 minutes, calling back. Spending another 7 minutes till they able to figure out what has happened. The answer: no, you placed it just an hour ago, we got record the fact that I have a call log in my phone and sitting here with guests waiting means nothing. So, where is my food? The delivery guy just left with your order. Two hours passed while Im waiting, third coming. Also, the receptionists girls there for some reason become very rude and obnoxious. But if you come to the place and speak to the cooks or the cashier guys everything is still good, they apparently know how to deal with clients. Ive been going to and ordering out from this place for the last 15 years, but recent service changes making me change my mind.
This is one of the best turkish restaurant in sheepshead bay area. Its quite cheap and definitely worth the money you will spend..Try their lamb chops, shish kebabs and my fav is calfs liver, and in sweets their bakhlava is great too.The spot is in really nice place...Near the stationNice and clean,Stuffs are much friendly and welcoming.Suggested highly....
Theyre not looking for cleaning. The customer came in restaurant with his dog. Dogs fur was flying towards to grill. I told employees and they said that we cant do anything. Near the register I think so manager or owner was talking which is dog owner and he said that no no no its not flying for. Employee told him too. That night I didnt eat my food and put garbage. When I was leaving from location while dog and owner go inside the restaurant again. I will never go there again. Worst place in Brooklyn.
Good food but weird rules. Ordered take-out but had to stay and wait with kids to be picked up , but they kicked me out forcing me to feed two kids and a baby outside sitting on a hydrant. This didnt make any sense. I was very very upset. I eat their food, order for the office and home. This is the most strange thing to me.
Ive been coming here for years. Customer service always sucked but today when i placed an order through post mates and received only 1/3 of my order, it reached a new low. The receptionist who barely speaks english was rude over the phone and the manager refused to come when asked for. It took over two hours to receive my order from them. Definitely done ordering from this place.
Another disappointment. Was very unsatisfied with the long wait a couple of months ago but decided to give it another try. This was definitely my last visit. Ordered chicken and lamb shish for pick-up. After the promised 15 min 1 order was ready, however I ended up waiting another 20 minutes for the second plate. Came home to open two chicken orders. The disaster didnt stop there. The chicken was extremely dry and the plate was full of shredded lettuce and onions instead of a salad. Definitely avoiding this place at all cost from now on and suggest others to do the same if you care how your meal tastes
I have been ordering from them for a few months and it was always from Seamless. And today I called to the restaurant to place an order for the delivery. I never had an issue with the food, but today I was surprised. First the food took more than an hour to be delivered. When my food arrived It was cold. I called the restaurant and the girl who answered the phone told me that I was far.So I googled how long to drive from my location to their place. It showed me 10 mins . But I checked the time when I called the restaurant the 2nd time and when the delivery guy called me (18 mins ). I am so disappointed with the delivery service.
Update a year later: didnt deliver my snapple and then refused to refund me for it. I dont know why I expect common decency when I order from there twice weekly, but I guess I ask for too much as they cannot just refund me for a $3.00 Snapple. Oh and then hang up when you ask them to talk to a manager since they said only the manager could do a refund.Took over an hour to deliver food, which was not my complete order.. I have now been waiting over another an hour for the salad that they forgot. Horrible service. Ordered at 6:30 pm and it is currently 9 pm and I still do not have my food. They also refuse to allow me to speak to a manager about this situation.
Web site to order is 100% broken... order a large meal get a regular in a large container and for the money spent this place is becoming a rip off. it used to be order a large it was packed now its 1/2 empty. disappointed. guessing max profits over what 16 dollar - 18 dollar large that is about 3 dollars in cost for them they still short change it... very disappointed. used to be better going down hill.
We went to get pick up for dinner, and the service was terrible. Employees are very rude and disrespectful to customers. When we brought the food back home and started eating everything taste have cooked and hard to chew. The lamb gyros tasted old and disgusting. I do not recomment this place, they are too busy and do not care about their service and quality of food. Most of my friends told me to not go there, but i still went just to give them a chance, but this was my first and last time.
The new location is bigger, cleaner and way better. It seems these guys are doing fine. The place is more like a casual cafe togo rather than a restaurant, however there waiter and busboy service. Meat food was just ok as in dozen of Turkish restaurants nearby but nothing impressive. Chicken kebab and lamb gyro were too dry and salty. Its weird because I expected gyro to be their signature dish. On the other side salads were much fresher and tastier than their competitors. Dessert was very good as well.Positive experience overall but I wish they improve their fried meat dishes.
Update: this place went from very good to not so good in fact its horrible.I will not order from this restaurant in the future and I no longer recommend it !!!On my last 3 orders it took over an hour for the delivery to arrive and the food was lower quality the it was in past and the salids was not fresh...This is a restaurant to avoid because on my last order the food made me sick ....I have ordered from here many times and i must say it is very good.Very fast delivery so the food is still very hot and fresh.
Dont know how the food tastes because i cant get my order of a soup and chicken gyro for hour and half and i live 6 blocks away on emmons and Nostrand. If you dont speak Russian dont bother, noone speaks English well enough to figure out anything. I called put me on hold 15 Minutes, then i called back, they still couldnt figure that out. Then hung up on me, never got my food after 130 minutes and now have to order elsewhere
What happened to this place? This used to be my favorite gyro spot in NYC for over ten years. I have recently visited this restaurant and was disappointed. The Shepard salad which used to the best Ive tried does not taste the same way it used to. Whoever cut the vegetables didnt even cut them to consistent size. It looked like the salad was prepared by a child. My favorite dish has always been the lamb gyro with rice without the vegetables. The last time I dined here the gyro was flavorless and the rice was overlooked.I really hope that this restaurant which has recently been sold to new owners re-evaluates its quality and recaptures the one of a kind flavors which it previously delivered consistently.Updated 6/15: Since my review three months ago this place has gotten even worse. The Sheppard salad which I have been ordering for ten years has lost several ingredients and has been pared down to tomatoes, cucumbers and onions topped with a ridiculous amount of feta cheese to cover what it lacks.
Used to like this place. The quality of food has gone down tremendously. Last couple of times weve ordered from them, food was not fresh. Salad was made at least couple of days ago, it was fridge cold with mushy old tomatoes and smelled horrible. Same applies to the liver appetizer, which was stale and was made a while ago and was only heated in the microwave. Not coming back.
They serve shawarma or Doner kebab both chicken and beef. Their serving is quite fast. The food is delicious and the price is affordable. On the other hand, their place is small is it not very comfortable to it there when it is crowded. Yet, they have delivery service too that can be a good option. Overall, I like it and it deserve 5 stars.
I usually dont write bad reviews but the service in Anatolian gyro made me so sad and angry that I just cant stop myself from sharing.I have been their customer for more than 12 years. They usually had fresh food and nice service.Few days ago I called them and placed an order for a pick up. My husband and I got two wraps with grilled chicken. When we started eating both of us were surprised that in two sandwiches the chicken was burned to that point when it gives you disgusting bitter taste. So we opened up the wraps just to see if maybe we were lucky to get those pieces on our first bite. But unfortunately both wraps are filled with charchoral colored pieces of chicken...I called Anatolian gyro and told the lady who picked up that the chicken in both sandwiches was burned. Her response was: “ No, it was not”So I made my husband go back to the place to show them. They were extremely rude! And they did not offer to exchange the wraps or return the money. Their response was: “ sometimes it happens”....So I called them, after hanging up on me several times, I succeeded and asked for the manager. The same lady told me the manager was on vacation and gave the phone to another nasty lady. Who told she doesnt understand what I want and they would accept the wraps if they were not bitten.I am wondering how we supposed to find out that the chicken was burned obviously I dont have an xray vision. So instead of an appropriate customer service I got rude attitude and spoiled food.Anyways after few hours I felt sick and nauseated. I guess those few bites of burned chicken didnt go along or maybe the meat was not fresh and they decided to grill it deeper to kill the smell.I would never ever buy from them again.
Food is very fresh and very tasty. Lamb jyro tastes great as well as Russian salad!!! Service is Amazing!!! Kids loved French fries!!!! Very friendly and kind staff!!! I came in with my 2 small children and everyone from the staff was so nice and friendly to us!!! Ever since, my husband and I order from Anatolians almost every day!!!
The food was usually good been going there for years . I ordered chicken kabob one skew was fine the other skew was raw in the middle . I told the waiter he just gave a blank stare. Told the manager he said nothing not an apology not a replacement for the half the meal not being good
AWFUL service. Been waiting for my delivery for 2 hours, food came cold and lamb was undercooked. When I called the restaurant to find out about my order, the girl hung up the phone on me. If you guys dont know how to do deliveries, then stop. Your business is disappointing. Also get some polite people working for you.
Presentation and restaurant atmosphere is nice! Thats about it! Food gives major heartburn and if youre lactose intolerant avoid the gyro as they use milk! I curse these people! Ugh!!! The first time I asked how the food was prepared, they lied to me! Never going back!
I have been to this place many times before but for the first time I decided to order it was the worst customer service I could receive. I placed my around around 12:57pm it is now 2:40pm I havent received my food. This was unacceptable I called around 1:57 to see what was wrong they said I gave them the wrong phone number but I know for sure I didnt because I made her repeat it more than once to me and she was correct. Im completely annoyed at the moment. I honestly shouldnt pay for the food at this point. 1. They are late with my food. 2. The person taking my order seems either annoyed and doesnt want to work right now. WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN A LONG TIME!
Food is tasty, people working there are nice so one star for each, I was gonna do 0 or 1 without these, reason for that is that I paid 17.5$ for one Shawarma, thats not how it works, also thats not how it should be working in this neighborhood either its not Manhattan, my suggestion is that owners/management need to re-evaluate pricing, revenues gonna grow too as a result
I placed an order at 715pm through seamless. Estimated delivery time stated 755-815. 815 i called the restaurant over and over again. No answer. I called seamless. At 830 after waiting on hold the restaurant told seamless it will take another hour for delivery. No one bothered to call. This is disgusting. No delivery takes over 2 hours. Disgusting service
This place used to be a lot better. They used to provide you with accessory foods, eg., lemons and sauce. Now you need to ask, which is okay I guess. In addition, the lentil soup now has too much water in it; disgusting. Other foods are good. Overall this place is decent for the price.
I’m not a bad reviewer ever but this place stays making mistakes. Jasmin the mgr refused to credit me for their own mistake of sending out the wrong meal at 9pm. Honestly the food is ok at best but their customer service is third world (makes sense for a Turkish restaurant). It’s funny but I asked them directly if they are willing to lose a loyal customer for over an $8 freaking meal. This jasmin lady clearly just arrived from a village. Anyways done and done never again will I go to Anatolian. F**k your restaurant.
I am regular customer in this restaurant . I came to order falafel wrap and lentil soup for my husband. When I picked it up and open the bag at home , it was chicken soup. My husband doesn’t it chicken or meat . I called to the restaurant and asked to change chicken soup to lentil and do delivery for me , because It WAS NOT my mistake . The girl , who worked Friday night , on November 15th , said me that delivery only in 2 hours !!!! And DID NOT apologize about this situation . And actually she was yelling at me!!! I asked to speak with a manager or her bosses , she said nobody there. So , guys , Your service is awful !!! I am so disappointed. Never come back .
Excellent food. The only 2 problems I had was, as soon as my friend and I sat down, the waitress asked if were ready to order. We didnt even look at the menu. Then as soon as we put our folks down, the waitress came and took our plates away. We werent even finished eating
Came to sure down and eat but they took forever bringing us menus do we decided to order to go. Come to find out its not because they are busy but racist because the next group who came in was a group of white women and they had menus given to them while they were sitting down. RACIST PLACE DONT GO HERE IS YOUR A MONITORY.
I went to Anatolian Gyro to have lunch 2 days ago. the place was empty at usually busy lunch 1 pm hour. the place use to be in other location and was great. Very affordable and cozy. Now they did some renovations. The prices went up dramatically. Before they had half portions, not anymore. The place was freezing!!! it was not hot outside at all but their air conditioners worked in full blast. I was shivering! when I mentioned to the waitress that it was too cold she agreed with me but said they can not reduce the cold air blast because people at the kitchen may feel too warm!Well.. I eat my plate with small 4 pieces of shish kebab and rice and drank a tiny bottle of Turkish water for $17 incl tip in 5 min and run away. It was completely uncomfortable to eat in the refrigerator .2 hours later I started feeling that I am getting a cold. Was sick for 2 days already with running nose and sore throat. Never again...No wonder the place was empty...
The shepherds salad is something that is a must try. The balance of salt from the feta and the bitter from the lemon juice makes this quite addicting. The gyros are overflowing with meat and they give generous portions of just about everything served. The prices are quite fair for the taste and amount of food provided. They did get slammed after the hurricane and took some time to come back but along with all the business they came back in full swing within weeks.
Chicken gyros in pita, w everything and extra white sauce. Get extra napkins. Red sauce is very hot. Get a green tarkhun soda and a water to wash hands after and use some hand sanitizer (carry one) and its as if you never ate. Chew some gum, no smell. Otherwise do not eat them outside/in car/at park. Delicious but very messy food. Most of menu is overpriced. Stick to the gyros. Lamb shouldnt be reheated.
I ordered at 2:30 pm today online on there page for a chicken kebab plate to brighton beach i waited 40 minutes when i called the restuarant back and they told me they recieved my order and that it would be at my house soon. i waited till 3:45 when i realized soon was taking too long and i called the place again, woman said it was already on its way. here i am at 4:15pm calling for the 3rd time when i get on the phone frustrated and the woman says THEY NEVER RECIEVED MY ORDER. so when i ask her for her to let me speak to a manager or supervisor she tells me he only comes in the morning, i ask her for her name she tells me she cant give her name. the attitude was disgusting and they clearly dont take their job seriously. i will NEVER order from there again !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 hours for a chicken kebab plate that was never put in but charged for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Staff doesn’t follow directions. I clearly ordered a small container of chicken gyro and a large lamb gyro along with two large shepherd salads. I get a chicken and lamb gyro entree with the container filled with rice when I ordered separate salad. $50 spent for a wrong order and they could care less.
Terrible. I tried once and gave it a second chance. Unfriendly mechanical unaccommodating staff who doesnt know the abc of customer service and think too highly of the food they serve. On top of all that they are more expensive then other, same type, places in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Bad service!... Bad service!... Bad service!...She (women in black) took our order but I think never placed in the pos system as a result we waited like 30 mins than she showed up with one main dish ( we ordered two) eventhough we had soup order and were expecting to get soups first. After I remind her soups, she was like Gelmedi mi çorbalar? with a broken Turkish. I replied with Gelmedi amk. And left our table for good which made us happy. A guy approached with a soup 10 mins later and I had to remind him that we ordered two, finally he brought us 2nd one. After we done with soups, the same guy brought one main dish and I had to remind him again we are two and we ordered 2 main dishes. We just head to MASAL cafe for dessert. We really had hard time to make them believe that we are 2 people here and we both are hungry :). They did their best to make us share one soup and one main dish but after a real effort I won the fight with women in black and we got 2 soups and 2 main dishes. I feel like a hero now. :))
The girl thats with the men behind the counter was very rude and aggressive. She messes up the extra sause that I payed for and all she says is so what just eat it. I asked to speak to the owner and she didnt want to give his name. The girl at the register is very nice.
Placed an order at 7:40 pm just two chicken gyro wrap which takes 5 mins to get readyHowever i called them again at 9:10 pm the lady who picked up the phone said my order is still on the wayDont order from Here other wise you will waste your time you gotta wait 2 hours for deliveryWorst delivery service i’ve ever seenActually they don’t deserve 1 star either
I was expecting to eat a real turkish taste there, but unfortunately the food was awful. I am an almost regular here. All the time hoping for a real turkish taste, but I am disappointed every time. you are not getting wjat you are paying for. The prices are expensive as well.
I ordered 3 timesLast time was today , mothers day. Besides waiting twice on hold for total of 20 min. I was overcharged at least $10(1 chicks giro -$12, 1 liver-8,1 babaganush. Extra French fries- 46), the address was recorded indirectly, the French fries was almost raw as well as live(red drippings in the plate).
I was call them waile when i driving to make an order for pick up. Somebody pick up the phone and said hold on and was wait 10 minut. So in this 10 minut i was in restorant. I ordered chicken gyro with pita bread and adana kebab plate. They are gave me chicken gyro with pita and adana kebab with pita. 👎👎👎

2022-05-26Delicious food. I always get the chicken gyro platter. The falafel is homemade and amazing. Cheese roll appetizer is amazing. I recommend trying all the appetizers from here, they will not disappoint. Food is fresh and served with Turkish bread. Inside is updated, modern, and clean. They have delivery and take out

2022-06-01I have visted many Turkish joints around NYC and this happens to be one of the best.Service is good...friendly yet professional.Food is excellent. Had the lamb kabobs, salad and a few other items. Everything was amazing.Btw the bread is absolutely fantastic. No issues finding street parking on a Saturday night at 8pmWill definitely visit again.

2022-01-12It astonished me how much business this place has for such mediocre food. My food was packed in a way such that everything leaked. Also the prices are kind of expensive. Please just go to a halal cart if you want good gyros and lamb.

2022-03-01This place USED to be ok, however, lately the food I purchase from them is not acceptable... and its time I go to the myriad of better Turkish Restaurants in the area (Kings Highway alone has three nearby). For example, I just ordered from them tonight about 10pm.... within 30 seconds after I ordered and paid the cashier, my number was called (I thought it was kind of weird, because it was too quick of time to make the gyro sandwich I ordered). I live only 5 minutes away, and sure enough, as soon as I got home I opened my sandwich to find the gyro meat was COLD.... it was obvious I was served meat that was already cut off the gyro and sitting their rather than being made a fresh sandwich with warm lamb meat. For the price you pay, you could take your business to the local competitors who will actually have the decency to serve you fresh cut meat that is warm. Been going here for years, but their service and food has been so awful lately, I will be going to the Turkish spots on Kings Highway for now on.... it is a little further from me, but at least I know I wont be served cold lamb meat that has already been cut off the gyro and sitting on the bottom just waiting for a customer like me to disappoint. Stay away!!! You have been warned.UPDATE: Not only was the meat served cold, but half of it was also burnt/charred. So if you like the meat on your gyro to be both charred and cold (as if it was found on the floor behind an oven), Anatolian is for you!

2021-09-20Have been ordering from Anatolian Gyro for years and never expected to have this type of experience. I was eating my gyro and kebab platter I bit into some type of metal object and it scratched my whole mouth, to makes matters worse I looked to see if there was more metal objects I found a long piece of hair. This is just unacceptable I added the pictures below so you can see. This is very concerning. Never eating here again!

2022-01-03Moving back to sheepshead from bushwick/Williamsburg - first thing we wanted was gyro because we really missed it. My co workers put me on to Anatolian Gyro Restaurant. Hubsand I tried it out as a date night. It was so nice! Atmosphere is nice, waiters are friendly and kind. And the FOOD IS SO GOOD. We live a few blocks away but We like to order in- still fresh, still delicious. We always always always get their French fries and shepherd salad. Their fries r def best fries ever. They’re very accommodating- all I wrote on Grubhub was “I’m pregnant please feta cheese on the side and extra white sauce”. I like to drown my food in it and it costs extra on Grubhub. Only paid for one extra. They did not cheap out on my hubs w the feta either 🙂 always pleased with them for a while so finally giving them the shout out, thank you guys! (P.s. my mom is obsessed with them too ). Delivery men are also always so nice, the one today saw my crazy yorkie jumping out of my arms and he didn’t want me to drop my food and my belly is huge he was super helpful put the bags on my table because he saw I’mStruggling !! 😍❤️😩❤️ pics don’t do justice but I’m too hungry to take nice pics 🙂

2020-09-26In my opinion, Anatolian serves the best Chicken, Lamb and mixed Gyros in the Sheepshead Bay and Brighton Beach environments. You can easily order ahead or show up to place your carryout orders. The fresh baklava and European sampler desserts are delicious and plentiful for up to four people. I cant wait for this pandemic to be over so that I can dine in and sample more of their authentic menu offerings. Excellent service and delicious food in a clean and very well run establishment.

2022-03-01Truly delicious gyros! This place never disappointed me with food. Been coming here for at least 4-5 years. Just one small nuance , sometimes they got rude people by the cash register… but their food does compensation for that

2022-05-20Used to be a regular customer there Sunday and sometimes Thursdays. Every grill person there knows my orders and cashier also. But some how some way I get the treatment of first time bein there. Seriously over many years going back to when there were on sheepsheadbay rd. This is why I stop going there to much of a headache to always explain how my food should be done which is wellllllllllll done with cuts of small pieces in the end. In 1 plate how is that such a big deal to remember??
