🥯 🥐 This place has amazing croissants, ice creams, focaccias and pastries. I recommend the pistachio croissant, ham and cheese croissant, pistachio ice cream, and pesto and ricotta focaccia.☕️the latte was not the best.🤑 a little pricey but the quality is great. Service is good.👍🏼 great for takeout or a quick dine in.💸 cash and credit card are accepted.
I loved their Bombolone! They even had a variety of pastries, ice cream, sandwiches, cakes and pizza. You can find both indoor and outdoor seating. The staffs were so kind and the place was so clean too.I didn’t take a picture of the kitchen, but you can see how they make all the croissants in the store.I would definitely recommend this bakery.
We saw the ads on Instagram of Angelina Bakery and were appealed by its signature Brissant, which was a combination of brioche & croissant. We visited on a Friday morning at about 8am and its busy but not so crowded. The decor is adorable, bright and cozy with limited seating, but most people did take-out orders so we didnt have to wait for a table.Their pastry options were various and the lineup looked gorgeous by the windows. We had one Almond Croissant and Brissant with 2 cups of Hot Latte as breakfast. Its really delicious and satisfying, especially the Brissant which the filling was creamy & delicate. We will plan for our next visit for other flavors of croissant and adorable Bombolones. However, there was room for improvement on their service since it took a long time for the staff to help us check out because she couldn’t find the correct item on POS system.
Not only does this place has great food and desserts (you literally want one of everything) but they also have an amazing staff. The young ladies getting everything ready are so quick I thought they forgot something lol. And the woman at the register was the best. When you’re having a long day, which we all are these days, a little kindness goes a long way and she was so kind and had such a warm personality it really made my day better.Thank you to the staff at Angelina 🌷
I came for the cannoli. Got a ricotta one. Even at 1pm in the afternoon, Id expect it to be fresh. The shell was soft and the filling absolutely tasteless. Its half-empty too.The bomboloni are definitely fresh. The pistachio one is just some runny green filling that is not real pistachio cream. Its also tasteless and this one had a huge hole in it. I suppose they cant know if each and every one turns out well inside. The hazelnut/Nutella one was decent.Overall, those products are not worth the hype if youve had proper Italian sweets before but perhaps the other products are better. They looked really good. The savory items look good too.Giving just one star because the service staff are friendly.
I like their pastries, there is a great selection, and you most likely will find something to try. They have interesting colourful buns/sandwiches as well. Tea flavours are also abundant, just pick any if in doubt lol. Their cheesecake has a good balance of sweetness but the texture can be smoother as you can taste all the lumps and unmelted bits inside. A good spot once in a while but definitely not craving-call for me.
Such a cute little shop in the city. The decor is adorable, they have tons of food/snacks/desserts to offer. Staff were super friendly and kind. Prosciutto and arugula sandwich was very tasty.Update - we came back and had the prosciutto croissant sandwich, it was incredible! We also tried the chocolate croissant which was nice.
Beautiful place but many reasons I dislike ^^ the food itself tastes like a fridge , the staff wasn’t very friendly and all this costed over 30 but tasted not so fresh. Pretty disappointed , these pastries even look grayish. Worst part, nobody wipes the tables very well so I sat in a lot of fk*n chocolate. Not for me sorry.
Much more than just a bakery!! They also have a great selection of gelato, sorbet, coffee ☕️ and coffee drinks. I just had the most delicious matcha latte with almond milk one can possibly make!!For context, I am so glad I stopped by here on whim! I was looking for good coffee spots in the area, and google didn’t even show this place.
Got in at 7:50 to grab whatever they might have left. At 7:58 I was told the item in the case I wanted was going to be thrown away. Their food may be good, but I didn’t get a chance to try it. Rude staff was more interested in their cleaning, while the store was open, rather than helping guests.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn right next door and came here every morning for breakfast. The food was always delicious and there are so many great bakery items on the menu. They also have ice cream, which was delicious! The atmosphere is also very cozy and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, it was a great cafe that really enhanced our visit of NYC.
Super yumm Danish pastries, super crisp n tasty flavoured croissaint withfresh fruits custatrd toppings and super moist doughnuts center filled with cream and custard....fresh bean coffee and cappuccino bang in flavours and aroma....close to holidayy inn hotel and really close to time square.....ANGELINA BAKERS YUMMMM
What a cute little place. We went after a show - and they were still open and so friendly. The bakery items looked absolutely delicious and tasted even better. We stood in line and the workers were quick to help with suggestions to help us make decisions. There were so many to pick from - It was hard to pick just one!! We ended up with an Oreo Cheesecake slice that was so creamy it was to die for. And the Opera Cake - hazelnut cake - was soooooo good. Absolutely delicious. So good. I highly recommend this place - especially for dessert. Thank you so much - so good!!
We walked by this bakery many times before we actually decided to stopped by. The bakery is lovely on the inside too and has a seating area upstairs. There were many pastries options available including croissants, little cakes and also salty pastries. Coffee, teas, cappuccino, fresh OJ.We ordered an americano and also a chai tea latte and both were amazing. The croissant had a lot of flavor, the filling had a lovely texture and tasted spectacular. The strawberries were also great.Coffee and tea had a very nice aroma and were served hot and fresh.
As a traveling food-obsessed pastry addict in recovery, I gotta say this place is an absolute gem.The cream-filled pastries and donuts are superbly balanced, not too sweet and perfectly flaky, light, and creamy. For those looking for the finer things in life for an occasional indulgence, this is IT.I was a little afraid, maybe scarred from having eaten one too many sugary, thick, and sickening cream filled donuts in my past. Amazing! This spot has fulfilled every pastry dream - I can honestly compare to some of the best Ive had in Paris, Singapore, and San Francisco and this might be the best for cream-filled anything.
I actually loved this place and I’m a Floridian. The Brissant was perfectly flaky, the filling wasn’t evenly distributed (but that’s okay with me), and I destroyed their chocolate croissant. Their iced vanilla latte is pretty good, it’s not as strong as local NY coffee shops which I love because the flavors come through more
Wish there was an option for zero stars. My husband and I were having our mother over for her birthday. We went to Angelina on Broadway and 53rd St. We selected three (yes, just three) small slices of cake from the baked goods display. Three pieces of cake came to $31 and change. Outrageous! Later, when we served the cake it was so dry, it was inedible. We threw it away. We threw away almost $32. We cant afford that. Will never return. Buyer beware!
We had a private event here and OH MY GOD. Atmosphere 10/10, food quality 10/10, hygiene & cleanliness 10/10, service 12/10. Everyone was extremely helpful, and the General Manager, Faidon, was on hand to make sure everything was perfect! Absolutely killer, do not miss the chilled desserts in the summer!
Was there today just before 6pm. I got one piece of 3 cheese pizza. Then I got 2 pistachio croissants. I noticed they charged me for 2 pieces of pizza. When I told the guy, he said he refunded me for two things for the trouble. And said he did not need my card! When I was at the hotel, and checked my transactions for the day, I do not see any refunds at all! Ugh! Wish I could give zero stars. Will have to walk down tomorrow morning, 25 min walk to the hotel!.
Hard to pass up a bakery 4.6 stars at +230 reviews, and super glad that didn’t happen. Apparently this place usually has a line out the door but went on a Friday around 11am and breezed in and out with some of the best baked treats I’ve ever had. Went with the “Brissant” EXCEPTIONAL and strawberry bombelino. VERY GOOD (both pictured). There were patrons eating inside but I hear that’s all about to change coming 12/14 when NYC eliminates indoor dining again. Luckily Angelina has an outdoor spot out front (pictured) to enjoy all the amazing sugary, flaky goodness. Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious variety of European pastries, French croissants and Italian bombolones. We tried the croissant with crema di pistachio and it was rich and creamy. The bombolone with nutella was the perfect combination of fried exterior and moist inside with a generous quantity of crema.Temperature control, hand sanitizer available
This place has so many delicious looking options to choose from, I’m sure you can’t go wrong in whatever you pick. Just be aware that whatever flavor you have it will be a lot of filling inside.. it took me two days to eat my donuts because they were so rich in flavor.
My best bakery experience in NYC. As a lover of baked goods I have been to several in the city and Angelinas stands out for their quality, service and overall experience. They went the extra mile to make it a special experience for me and went above and beyond what I could have ever expected.
I am in need of a second visit! When I tell you this place knows what they’re doing, I mean it! I came for a quick weekend trip to NYC and stopped for a pre dinner snack at this cute shop. Ordered easily on the kiosk outside and pastry came out within minutes. The chantilly creme bombolone was divine. Like other reviewers, not too sweet; but just right. The dough of the bombolone was soft with a mild yeast flavor and the chantilly cream was plentiful and not too thick! You have got to try this place. My goal is to come back and try one of the coffee options next.
Accidentally stumbled upon this Italian bakery and absolutely loved it. Visual satisfaction more than anything. I got Taro latte (made of plant roots) *delicious ☺️ and croissant (looks absolutely beautiful but tastewise I had better). Seating available upstairs.Overall place is much better than most of the coffee shops or bakeries around. ♥️
Not the best of desserts but it was good. I try cannoli from different places and the one I got here was just an average one. Nothing great. My girlfriend got the nutella filled donuts and they were good too.You have a nice sitting area to relax and enjoy the delicacies. I wish the taste was as good as the presentation. But, overall a nice place to have desserts.
Immaculate presentation of French desserts and small dishes. Prices are what you would expect at the Airport but quality is something of an established Paris Bake shop. The good coffee is priced about a dollar more than the pour your own.Had a craving for a Cannoli. It was calling my name at $4.95. Tasted as good as it looked.
So much goodness! I ran in here to escape the crazy crowds. It was a lovely escape. Cant say much about the public washroom as it was down and I had to go upstairs and use the staff washroom. That was clean though. Didnt access wifi either. Would do more stars if I knew those two were done well. Service was friendly. Nice environment with DELICIOUS baked goods.
Definitely one of the classiest bakeries I have seen. Anyone who walks by their window display has their eye caught by a beautiful and colorful pastry. Got to try their donuts with filling. The strawberry donut is really good, the actual strawberry that was on top tasted fresh.
We decided to go to this bakery and try 2 cappuccinos, a turkey croissant sandwich, and a Chantilly bonbolone at Angelinas. It was a beautiful cafe and food was good, cappuccino was okay. However, they have to label the foods on display, it would be much more helpful and organized for customers! Keeping the bathroom up is important too, since it was messy and no soap! Also maybe a way to keep customers organized by forming a line , completing coffee orders as they are given, to not have to wait so long this will make things easier for themselves and keep the flow of customers in and out, without confusing anyone. That was my only dislike. We enjoyed our visit but definitely see how it can be better.
Definitely overrated bakery. We got croissants with ham&cheese and with bacon&egg and both were OKish. But the pistachio donut was soooo below the avarage, its was barely eatable. The only reason for giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is the look of the venue and food, all looks so good but unfortunately taste is missing. And yes, so overpriced especially for the taste they are offering (2 croissants and 1 donut are 33 dollars).
Oh my - what a find. Cozy and small but packed with goodness. The pastries all looked terrific. The ones we selected impossibly tasted better than their scrumptious appearance. Those coupled with the best coffee (a smooth dark roast) we had in NYC this trip was perfect. Customer service was superb. Angelinas was tidy, fresh appearing, orderly, and welcoming. This was a complete package for our interests. We will visit again.
Very unorganized. When you walk in, if you want coffee and sweet you’re supposed to go to the right. If you want coffee and food go left. You can also order food if you go to the right you just can’t pay for it there. We waited in one line then another. Ham and cheese croissant was delicious but it was $12. Sweets looked great as well. Not worth the money unless you’re starving.
What a welcome surprise. While looking for some food to eat on the train, my wife and I walked around the area near our hotel (Crown Plaza on 36th st another lucky find.) and discovered Angelina Bakery. I ordered one of the gourmet pizza slices and the Chantilly cream Bombolina. Both were well prepared and tasty. The Bombolina was vesuvian eruption of joyful pastry. (Warning! Buy at least 2 if youre leaving town, because you will want to turn around if youve only bought one!! Also bring napkins to catch the Chantilly Cream filling that covers the lower parts of your face :-))
Amazing pastries. Good coffee. Always crazy crowded. I was getting cranky one day because we ordered simple coffee, and people after us, with complicated orders we’re getting theirs. we thought, that’s it, never coming back. I asked the cashier what was going on and the manager appeared out of nowhere, apologized, said they we’re working on a better system. He got our coffee for us and a free pastries. So we decided to give it another try. The service was improved a week later and it’s still very crowded. Good manager. Good staff.
Its beautiful, clean and delicious but they overcharge when you asked why the price is different that is on the sign they just said because we forgot to change the sign... they didnt give me my money back and the cashier was rude. sorry I really like it but for sure Im not comeback
So many bakeries in NY but Angelina Bakery takes the cake! My favorite bakery that carries French pastries. They have a few unique items like ube lattes which I enjoy. I always get a bombolini, they are perfect little treats. The workers are helpful and so kind. I have told many friends and family to check it out and they are just as happy!
Their donut or bomboloni was absolutely surprisingly good! I love donuts and I had to give this a try. They have five options with different fillings and one plain. The strawberry cream caught my eye. For $4.95, its pretty big and they filled it up to the max with cream. Every bite I took has the filling. It wasnt oily or heavy. It felt light yet satisfying. It wasnt too sweet or bland. The strawberry cream was fantastic. I need to try the other flavors.
I am visiting nyc and passed by this bakery so I decided to try it out. I was amazed when I get inside coz they have lot variety of pastries. The oreo cheesecake was so good it was a must try and the pizza was delicious. I would definitely comeback and try more of their stuff. I highly recommend this place.
Simply WOW!! Not only the best bakery in NYC, but probably the best I tried in my entire life. Just looking at the display they have makes you happy and want to eat all of the options (it really opens your appetite). I guess I will be having my breakfast every single day here until I travel back! Super recommended.
I just went to Angeline Bakery tonight in search of some hot chocolate. I was waiting to order for a few minutes but I decided to leave because the employees were cleaning up and I did not want to order if they were just about to close (They apparently were not closing yet as it was 7pm and they closed at 8 but I assumed they were closing because of how busy they were cleaning.) As I am on my way out to my train one of the employees by the name of Joe chased after me. He insisted I come back in and apologized for the misunderstanding and gave me my order on the house. I was so appreciative of his kind gesture that I felt compelled to write this review. He made my night and he instilled amazing customer service. I had a great experience with Angeline Bakery tonight.
I ordered an iced cappuccino and the people working there looked at each other and asked if anyone knew how to make that. Needless to say, that was not worth it - tasted like bodega coffee. We got a Nutella bombolone and a potato pizza type situation. They were just ok. I know it is new, so hope they work some kinks out!
Really wanted to love this place, bought and ate the pistachio croissant and brissant at 10am, both of which were incredibly soggy inside, likely from having been filled too early and sitting around, so they had no texture. I also ordered the 4 cheese focaccia which was incredibly dry and lacking in flavor. All the employees are incredibly kind and helpful, and the space has some convenient seating inside.
This was a gem of a find! My wife and I visited here twice during our 4 night stay in NYC. We should have gone here every morning - nothing else we tried was as good! The pastries were OH MY GOSH good. My wife went on about the fruit danish, but the boston creme were my favorite. The Americanos we had were perfect. and the staff was very friendly. We ate outside, cuz thats my wifes thing, in a little dining area on the sidewalk. Noisy, New York atmosphere. Lots of police (which is a GREAT thing). But the indoor seating was very nice. A great spot!
My wife and I visited this bakery on our trip to New York City. We were very excited by it because it meets the criteria for my exclusive restaurant list where it needs to have a rating of 4.7 or better with over 100 reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the restaurant and I do not believe it deserves a place on my list.We bought two croissant sandwiches, a glazed donut and a chocolate croissant. The chocolate croissant was ok, definitely nothing special. Tasted similar to a chocolate croissant you might get from Vons. Considering the cost, this was definitely not good value. We had similar complaints about the croissant sandwiches. They were nothing special and were quite pricey. The real issue I had with the sandwiches however was that we asked for them to be warmed but the result was sections of the sandwiches being lukewarm and the rest almost frozen. They were quite disgusting and we didnt even finish. The final pastry was the glazed donut which was again very unimpressive. It was quite large, which is great, but it was also extremely doughy and dense, which I at least do not relish.Final verdict; save your money and go to Russ & Daughters. Youll be much more satisfied with your breakfast.
Excellent quality and presentation. Delicate flavors. Tried a Chantilly cream bombalone, Nutella bombalone and Egg and spinach focaccia. The Chantilly cream one was well balanced, not too sweet, and just excellent, but I thought the Nutella was too sweet, personally. (others who love Nutella might enjoy it). The focaccia was actually more like a flaky pastry and croissant-like, in a good way.
Theres always flies around, restaurant has a B rating and everything is insanely overpriced. Ive never had anything delicious here-its all hard from the fridge and has that fridge taste! The service has always been amazing though and they have a great location with outdoor seating.
What an amazing place with delicious treats, plenty of seating and a convenient location! Has everything you might need for a quick snack or if you are on the go with a hot beverage menu and sweets. Nutella filled everything is a must try! Place looks clean and staff is welcoming and efficient. Definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area!
Their service is quite fast, to be a fairly busy Bakery, you can see how they cook, the coffee is really good, just how the Cuban likes it, strong and dark, I would say they should have more variety with eggs, it is the only thing that I recommend it. Clean place, good attention and clean.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn right next door and we ate there every morning (4 times) . The options are amazing from filled bombolonis (donut like) , croissants, to AMAZING pizza. For sure a go to. The prices are good but the food is so much better. Highly recommend.
Tried a Chantilly cream bomboloni by recommendation of a worker there. It was exquisite and very fresh tasting. It doesn’t taste too sugary, it’s very light (which made me feel like I could eat 8 of them lol). I’ve never been a big fan of cream filled doughnuts so this was a welcomed surprise. It is also so pretty, what a lovely presentation. It is a bit big but I don’t mind (because it was so good)! I would come back, maybe I would try the Nutella one as it is sweeter according to others I know.

2022-03-08We came here multiple times in our short stay. The coffee is fantastic and the pastries were amazing. We tried so many bombolone andcroissants, and they were literally all incredible. The pastries are so good and just sweet enough, not cloyingly sweet like you might find in a fast food doughnut shop, for example. The breakfast croissant was also delicious. If Id had more time, I would have tried more savoury items.Id highly recommend giving this place a try if you need a quick snack and a coffee. Its on the pricier side. I believe the breakfast croissant alone was $11, but honestly, the food is so good, Id say its worth it to try at least once.

2022-06-12Let me start saying I come from south of Italy, Calabria to be precise. And the pastries here are to die for. I tried the pistachio croissant and it blew my mind: it was flaky but not too buttery, soft and fluffy. Not too sweet. The filling was amazing. I was feeling like I was back home. I was raised eating Sicilian pastries and this place brought me back to those times. If you want experience the real Sicilian cuisine I highly recommend to swing by.

2022-03-01Great coffee and pastries! Made a quick stop here and was definitely worth it. Has great service and staff was very kind. Their pistachio croissant is heavenly, along with their chocolate creme filled donut (not sure what it is called). Would highly reccomend!

2022-02-28This bakery stole my heart. No frills, delicious and affordable. Absolutely delicious pastries. Not too sweet, perfect amount of crisp on the croissants and the most delightful soft and light cream in the pistachio croissant.I had the cream cheese croissant, cheesecake, pistachio croissant, and tiramisu. Their croissants were the highlight. Tiramisu mousse was on the firmer side but still delicious.

2021-12-17The Chantilly cream Bombolina was one of the best Desserts I have tasted. Our ham and cheese croissants had great flavor but the ham and cheese were still cold even after the the heated. I will definitely be back.

2022-05-09Pistachio croissant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: More of a soft croissant than a flaky croissant but it fits the pistachio cream pastry well. Soft and cream filled with a hint of pistachio. Not too sweet for those without a huge sweet tooth. Would come again!

2022-05-30You cant say this place is not appealing from the street or inside. You cant say the presentation of pastries is not gorgeous or doesnt look delicious. You cant say the selection of coffees is not abundant. But what you can say is that taste of all of the above is stale, at best, and at worst simply not fresh. A bit of a disappointment for a place that has everything else going for it.

2022-01-25I’ve been fortunate enough to learn about this bakery ever since they first opened, and their donuts taste just as amazing as they did the first time I had a bite! The Monte Blanc Bombolone is easily my new favorite that I’ll be returning for. The flavor combination is absolutely perfect, Chef Tony has outdid himself once again with that amazing creation. I’m super excited to return for more treats to try out and also the new foods at the future restaurants that hopefully open up soon.

2022-04-17Wow! The best pastries I’ve ever had in my life! I’m from Rome and we are famous for the amazing bakery in town but this was at a very high level. You can go with the cappuccino or an espresso and they are also very good!

2021-12-26We order Online and our breakfast arrived on time and well packaged (with minor spillage of drinks) We enjoyed the pasties. Our favorite in order: Spinach Egg Focaccia, Nutella Croissant’s, Cream Cheese croissant and lastly the sugar bombolone. We’ll be regulars when in NYC
