Probably the nicest restaurant on Staten Island. Great Italian food. Great service. Great atmosphere. The meal started with some cocktails at the bar. Moved to the outdoor dining area, they have a beautiful view of the bay.For the appetizer raw oysters, raw clams, fried zucchini flowers; dinner was the squid ink pasta with frutta di mare (my GF), and the pasta with broccoli rabe pesto, paired with a big red wine; dessert was torta ciocolatta, tiramisu, and espressos.
Had my wedding here 5 years ago, so that in itself should tell you a lot about this restaurant!Came back this weekend for Winter Wonderland brunch with my friend and we had a great experience! Beautiful setup, delicious food, DJ, open bar for 2 hours for $19. Highly, highly recommend #marusikapproved
Went there last night for dinner. They are in Hollywood with their prices . Starting with paying $30 for 2 white white spritzers at the bar. They then showed us to our table. I was going to order shrimp cocktail as an appetizer until I saw it was $5 per shrimp. My husband and I are in no way cheap but don’t rob me. To play it safe I ordered the salmon which was delicious the sides were 3 pinky size potatoes. My husband ordered the linguine fruit di mare with the squid ink sauce. They gave him the cheapest seafood mussels with maybe 3 of the smallest clams I ever saw and shrimp the size of a dime. The waiter came over and asked how everything was my husbands response was very disappointed. Waiter walked away never came back. The owner was there and she never came over. The bus guy came over and was pointing his finger in my husbands face so my husband said get your finger out of my face then proceeded to put his hand on my husbands shoulder. We had to ask the bus guy to get our check we paid and left giving your 2 hostess a thumbs down.If I could give this restaurant a zero I would. If you are a true New Yorker like I am you will stay away!!
I cannot say enough good things about Angelina’s! We booked my sister’s bridal shower here in September 2021 for May 2022. Unfortunately, part of the family came down with Covid and we had to cancel our event. Christina Malerba went above and beyond to make sure she was able to find a new date for us! She was always there when we called, and always very responsive with text messages. We kept apologizing and she kept telling us not to worry! We had been there so many times for dinner, but had never actually done a party there. I can now say for sure that we will be back for our next event. Everything from the food to the service was top notch! Thank you so much for being a great business owner, and truly taking pride in what you do! - The Sarcona & Antoniello Family
Do you want to enjoy a decadent meal in a picturesque setting? Then look no further, unsurpassed service is paired with amazing dishes, the staff at Angelinas really give you that pampered feeling, the attention to detail really is a cut above, the appetizers are on the smaller side but look and taste fantastic, I thought the fried calamari would have had a light and fluffy coating but it was still fresh and tasty, the octopus was absolutely perfect, the veal, salmon, pasta and finally the tomahawk steak were all beautifully presented and tasted even better, I cant wait to go back
If you’re planning a private event, look no further than this charming and outstanding establishment called Angelina’s Ristorante. I was a guest at a Holy Communion celebration there in early May.The room was beautifully decorated and very atmospheric. During the cocktail session, the most delicious hors d’oeuvres were served. The Fried Calamari was done to perfection. They were quickly eaten up, but that didn’t stop the attentive staff from replenishing them a few times. Next, came Tortellini in an Herbed Bechamel Sauce which was an absolute delight. I mustn’t forget to mention that the wait staff always checked in to make certain our cocktails might need a refill. Then, it was time for the entree. I was so satisfied, that I could hardly finished my perfectly prepared shell steak. I can’t remember the last time that I asked for beef to be grilled rare— and rare it was! Usually, I’ve had steaks served to me medium, or regretfully, over cooked; but not the one I ordered at Angelina’s. The New Potatoes were nicely roasted and the Broccoli Florets crisp and buttery. Needless to say, I couldn’t finish my entire dinner and asked to take the remainder home. Two days later, I enjoyed a nice steak sandwich! Lastly, don’t leave the restaurant without sampling the Cheesecake or Tiramisu—both are equally mouthwatering. If you’re looking for ambiance, Angelina’s is perfect. Although, it was a rainy night, I strolled out onto the covered terrace and enjoyed some fresh air and a bay view. I could tell that dining al fresco there during the warm weather would be very pleasing. Make it a point to venture to this little hamlet on the south shore of Staten Island and at least try Angelina’s for a lunch or dinner. You won’t go away disappointed—trust me!
We came here after work on a Saturday. Food is of high quality and the menu has some unique choices in addition to traditional Italian dishes. The crowd is very well dressed, I would even say we were underdressed, something to note if it’s your first time here, dress for fine dinning. Place was very busy but even then our server Antonino was very attentive, pleasant and professional. We were seated as we requested, the heating lamps are nice, overall we are definitely coming back, it was a wonderful evening.
Fine dining the old school way! The food was great, but it is the service that really sets this place apart. The prices are high but you get well choreographed service. From the pouring of the wine tableside, to slicing your meat and de-boning your fish. This place is top notch. The plain pasta and tomato sauce was stellar along with the steak. The veal was a table favorite with a slight hint of spice. For an extra special night out and a lot of money, this place will do you well.
The food was horrible the Angelina salad was so acidic that it was ineadable and the fish was greasy . The music was so loud that you thought you were in a club. If that wasnt bad there was a party going on in the next room so you heard that music too. I would never go back.
My daughter’s bridal shower was held at Angelina’s this past weekend. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Brandi and Christina were a pleasure to work with and they made sure every detail was taken care of to my satisfaction. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. My daughter was delighted and I was beyond happy. Thank you for making her day so special.
The experience is a blast from the past and being singular on Staten Island this gem will forever have a special place in my heart. There was a time when fine dining, ambiance and location was the trifecta and the pinnacle of an upscale family dining experience. Those days are sadly gone, with one exception. Angelinas... Angelina youre simply amazing. Vlad will not soon forget the night we had. Thank you again.
Been to this place twice I’m from jersey i gotta give this place a 10 out of 10 in terms of the food place is extremely good but I only have one complaint the portions are to small but besides that the food was the best Italian food I ever had and the atomosphere is great highly recommended to anybody
Yes, id also give them 10 stars if i could.we recently had our wedding at Angelinas, and to say there management to the staff were professional and hardworking would be an understatement!Felix was our Manager for the Night of and omg was he INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Felix is personality, professionalism, attentiveness PERSONIFIED!The guy can probably juggle, recite the dictionary, type a thesis, and make sure you want for nothing all within a NY minute. His staff was everywhere at every moment. we couldnt ask for anything because they knew where everything should be and anticipated any requests. they were the EPITOME OF PROFESSIONALISM AND CUSTOMER CARE.The waiters were incredible, they cared about everything they were doing at every moment, so polite, so professional! The owners were so personable.Really was just the experience a Bride and Groom would love to have!!!!!Really consider having your event there, they carry themselves in an extraordinary manner!
I cant even begin to describe how amazing this venue is.I had my engagement party in the big tent over the weekend and my guests cant stop talking about the outstanding food, service and location! The event coordinator Brandi, made our entire night special from start to finish! we were treated like royalty. I never had an empty drink in my hand, or an empty plate! The bartenders, the servers, our maître d, everyone was so accommodating and wonderful. Angelinas, thank you for the most memorable night of our life! We couldnt be happier!
Summary:Unprofessional Management!Unreliable establishment. Broken agreements. My brother in law had a reservation for a small wedding party for the afternoon of Thursday November 11th, 2021. He and his fiancee had chosen the place primarily for the atmosphere it could provide and not necessarily for the quality of the food. The reservation was for an outdoor table with a direct view to the ocean. The reservation was made in person at the place with the owner 3 weeks prior to the event. The owner had shown my brother in law and fiancée around guaranteeing the spot and even suggesting few things they could do with the wedding party.Sadly, on the given day, when we arrived at the place, we found out that another larger party had been given all the outdoor tables! We did NOT get a courtesy call or a notice that our reservation was changed/canceled. If our event was a random get-together thing, it could have been fine, but it was a reservation for a WEDDING party! We had people flying from Poland, California, and DC.To add insults to injury, the manager of the day let us know that, and I quote, the owner has no idea what happens in this place. We were instead seated inside (with no view on the ocean). Not even an apology was provided. The dinner itself was at best average and it cost our party around $800. We made sure to provide tips as we know this whole mix up and unprofessionalism were not the fault of the servers or cook and most likely resides in the poor and unprofessional management. Here are the few things the management could have done to fix almost ruining my brother in law wedding day:1. They could have called us ahead of time and let us know things were changed. We had other options which we canceled.2. They could have provided us with a proper apology instead of brushing us aside and saying things like : the owner has no idea what happens in this place3. They could have given us something during our dinner to fix their mistakes. Either a discount or a cheap wine bottle.Instead, none of the above was done.We took the wedding cake with us and decided to have it cut at home.I would suggest if you make reservations for big events, be ready to have the reservation canceled without notice. The food is average at best, but pricey.
My family and I have had numerous parties in the past, and were always happy with the outcome. However, I just had my daughters Christening there, and even though our servers were great (very attentive and extremely professional), I cant say the same for management. Also the there was sooo little food. Everyone at the tables barely got any antipasti. For a table of 12 not everyone got a clam nor riceball. The food was Very very sparse. Im so glad I bought in a dessert table because the fruit platters were very small too.The prices definitely do not match the quantity of food. I was very disappointed.
A covid trap. This place is not worth going to no matter how good the food is. No handicap parking. The parking attendants are nasty punk kids. The waiters don’t wear masks and breathe in your face. The entire atmosphere is made up of a bunch of snooty snotty people; the employees and the patrons. Water seeks its own level. There is no room to even breathe in this place. Awful experience. There is more to enjoying a restaurant than the food. I’d give them zero stars if I could.
Absolutely beautiful. My wife called it majestic and shes a touch critic- hard to please In terms of restaurants. Some of the the fanciest, most expensive restaurants can feel boring or unariginal but Angelinas is different: from he design and arrangement of tables, flowers and everything else, to the service provided, It felt like we were at a restaurant outside of the country. Perhaps the Mediterranean or Europe, but not here, and certainly not Staten Island! This was my first visit and Ive lived on the Island for over 37 years. It will remain reserved on my mental list for any special celebration.
If there was one place Id recommend my clients to check out in Staten Island, New York, its most definitely Angelinas. Theyve really got their stuff together offering delicious foods, drinks and a wonderful restaurant/party experience.Whether youre in the terrace room, large air-conditioned tent or the new, smaller, clear tent, youll love this venue for your next event. Vinny and his team are fantastic to work with each and every time, and our clients are always happy!
Ok I was so between 3 or 4 stars let me explain!! THE SERVICE.. Impeccable!! The view and the actual restaurant, great atmosphere specially sence we didnt even get desert they still brought me ice cream and sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS AMERICA [lol] onky thing I was upset about was it was almost a 500$ check n my steak was wrong, maybe my fault I didnt send it back [but being a waitress I feel horrible doing that] but i asked for medium n it was deff well maybe mid well n i juss didnt enjoy it as much as my moms medium steak she gave me a piece of that was AWSOME N CHEWY AND FLUFFY MEDIUM STEAK[wich it was my bday I wish my steak wasnt the one to be wrong]...I wish myne was more like hers...but OVERALL it was a great experience for My bday and i loved the place!! The waiter awsome , wine awsome, never not filled [sence we bought 2 bottles] but everything else was freakn excellent!! Thank u by the way we chose this place also cus my name is Angeline and my mom LOVED THE SIMILARITY and the atmosphere when she photographed a wedding [sence she is a photographer] there!! Thankyou.tho!!
Our experience was not good. The waiters service was excellent but not the food. This is a fairly expensive restaurant - the food is not up to that standard. Appetizer was good the shrimp main course was not. The ingredients and taste of the shrimp did not correspond to the menu description. The risotto was too salty to eat the replacement was not much better! We were offered a drink as compensation. I ordered a 20 year old port. I got something much less and it was served in a rocks glass. A restaurant the has 5 or 6 ports on the menu should have port glasses!!!! On the plus side the rack of lamb was excellent.
What an amazing event by Angelina’s. We had a small event with outdoor and indoor seating. The food, service and atmosphere was impeccable. Doug, is a true professional and a man of his word. He knows how to throw a party and everything is perfect under his supervision. I can’t wait for our next event!!
My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine’s Day dinner. It was a 4 course meal for $115 per person with additional add ins for a charge. We chose the fried calamari for the first course which was decent. But everything else after that was a complete let down considering the price point. The desert was a complete disaster. The dough on the pastries was so hard we couldn’t even cut them open. The place was wayyyy over packed to be practicing social distancing. The service however was really good but not good enough to make us return.
My husband and I went to Angelina on Sunday. WE honestly were Googling a place and we came up with this beautiful restaurant. Its not fair from were we live. I have to say i was impressed. My hubby ordered a seafood dish which was amazing. Mine was the chicken with stuffed cheese omg so yummy and mouth watering. My peach martini was strong but I loved it. I ordered 2. The dessert was the tiramisu... loved it I had it the real way.... I absolutely loved this restaurant. My bday is the 10th of April and we will be Definitely coming back.
So last night we went to visit Angelinas for the first time. I have to say that I was very impressed with the service, the food, the environment, and how she took her time to come greet us. You do noy see that often in NYC or Staten Island. Maybe in North Dakota. Lol. Not only that, but the price was good too! I didnt feel uncomfortable being in that area of the island. Everything made me feel comfortable and our dinner was lovely. I will definitely spread the good news to others.😌
Over priced and the service was not that good. We were there over three hours and they served my son 1 soda and never offered a refill. In my opinion that is because soda is less expensive than wine, beer or mixed drinks. The waiter always asked people if they wanted another of those drinks but not soda. Also, the portions are ridiculously small for the extreme prices. I wouldn’t mind if they food was off the charts but that too was a let down. Save your money or go somewhere else.
We wend out to Angelinas with friends without having reservations, we had the best dining experience ever! Hostesses treated us like regulars and put as at the bar until the table was ready, The manager bought us some cocktails that were so delicious that we ordered one more round. We sat on a nice table later on and food was amazing, service very personable! Cant wait to return back with my other friends again !
Just got back from brunch at Angelinas. First off dirty silver ware. We were a group of 5 menu stated “family style”. Food starts to come French toast 4 slices, Focaccia 4, 2 pasta dishes, beef sliced, fish (branzino) 2 egg sandwiches with salmon. Everything was iced cold. We are a party of 5 are you kidding me with the amount of food they served. Tons of waiters who could not make a decision without asking someone. More French toast or eggs. Horrible experience. Then they have the nerve to charge $79 a person plus a 20% tip. I would have gotten a better experience at IHOP. Save your money it is not worth it.
I love the romantic and classy ambiance of this restaurant. My sister held her Sweet 16th birthday here last year and everything was perfect. They were able to provide us a space enough for our guests and everyone is comfortable with it. All the foods that they served are appetizing and delicious, and every staff is hospitable. I would highly recommend Angelinas Restaurant to anyone who loves Italian cuisines and is planning to have a grandiose party at a reasonable price.
One of my favorite restaurants. Food is great and the staff is amazing. BEAUTIFUL views if you can sit outside enclose to a window. Its traditional Italian with a modern twist. I love all of their meat dishes. Last time I had the rack of lamb and it was perfect. I highly recommend a visit.
Beautiful venue. Can easily accommodate 100-150 people. A bit out of the way but the pay off is a beautiful view.Food is solid but they lose a star by making everyones steak well done regardless of what was ordered. Stick to the salmon.Bartenders were fast and knowledgeable.
Let’s start off by saying I am nervous going places now a days considering I am Pregnant. I felt 100% safe! Tables are distance. Staff is all doing proper protocol. Angelinas makes us feel like normal again. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is amazing. If you are nervous now a days like me I highly recommend them!!
Was treated like a queen when I arrived. From the minute I walked in and was received by the beautiful and super friendly hostess to the amazing waiters who were so attentive. It was a true dining pleasure to eat at Angelinas. Our meal was pure perfection. The chef outdid himself with our steaks and meal. Bravo Angelinas!!!!
If your in Staten Island and looking for a great place to have a wonderful Italian dinner with a great view, look no further, you now found Angelina’s. Everything, soup to nuts, is absolutely phenomenal! My advice, GO! Angelina herself is always there and makes you feel like you’re family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
If your stuck in Staten Island and your hungry for Italian food- this is the only place i recommend. Get your butt there ASAP and order one of everything on the menu!!!! Beautiful Restaurant on the water. Great service by Angelina herself with her children and staff. #Amazing
Angelinas feels like family. It feels comforting and familiar. We love everyone there and always feel so welcomed. Not to mention they have some of the most delicious food you will find anywhere! True hospitality and impeccable service. The views are gorgeous, the grounds are beautiful, and Angelina herself is a genuinely gracious person. We love coming over to the island .. and definitely to Angelinas for a delicious meal and great conversation!
This site is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. when I feel like having a special meal, this is the place that comes instantly to my head. very good and many types of food and a rich cuisine.courteous staff members, and good ambience. And very important, the expence is reasonable. I suggest this place with no hesitation.
Had dinner for Valentine’s Day. I normally love the food and service at Angelina’s. Tonight was a disappointment. The food was below par. Very disappointing especially when I have been anticipating it for the past week.A cup of Ceasar salad. The calamari was chewing and rubbery. I had three pieces and returned it. The pasta dish was no more than a hand full of macaroni. I have eaten steak and lobster at Applebee’s that was better. Desert was a joke. The service was well below their standard. I had to repeatedly ask for water and for the plates to be removed. All that for $280.00.Knowing the quality of the food and service on a regular night I wonder as to thinking management had by striving to be so poor. They could have done better and should have. But that would requiring caring about their customer.I made my feelings know but nobody cared. We left there hungry and actually went to another restaurant, Fushimi. The food was great, service great, price was reasonable and they have my wife a rose as a thank youI will not be returning to Angelina’s.
This is our favorite restaurant in state island. Food is great and service is excellent. We brought friends from Europe here for dinner one night and they were impressed. We are so glad there is an elegant restaurant in Staten Island we can go to. We had our engagement party and everything was great. Our guests loved it, and one of our friends decided to have her wedding here. Recommended
Top notch cusine. You will pay a bit more for food and drinks there but it is well worth it. The food, drinks, staff and atmosphere are all amazing. Love that the owner, Angelina, is always there with a smile on her face and the singer they have on Thursday nights and the weekends is outstanding. Love this place!
If I could give it more stars I would! I got married here and I am floored of how they payed attention to every detail they have an answer to every question and a solution to any problem. Doug was amazing and made sure me and my husband were taken care of the entire night from the ceremony till the very end of the night he had us covered! Christine Brandi and alexa were amazing as well! We didnt rehearse before the ceremony and they made sure everyone knew where they were going and what to do, they got everyone ready for photos they made sure the bridal suite had everything stocked, they even went as far as helping me carry my train around and helping me bustle it! I am overwhelmed by the impeccable service . The food was amazing and the place is obviously gorgeous! My wedding was a dream thank you guys so much!
We just called in for a coffee. But when we went inside the place just seemed so friendly and welcoming that we decided to stay for a snack. We warmed ourselves up with hot soup, their fantastic home made bread and some snacks.Seriously some of the best Italian cooking I have ever had. It was like my mother was the chef.. I am heartstruck by the place. The next time Im in NY I will make sure I go for the full blown dinner. What made it even better was the attentiveness of the waiters, available when you needed something - but not in your face all the time.Thank you for the experience.
One star is too much .. absolutely disgusting!! Everything from the plates, silverware, stem glasses all were dirty.. even the napkins had crusty food on them. The valet was total disaster at one point the valet just started asking the people on line if they saw their car. And if they said yes he handed them their keys!!!!!! I stopped going to dine and only go when I’m forced to go to a party && I was so disgusted with what I saw I strongly recommend you reconsider where you subject your loved ones .. as a guest I was appalled .. Angelina and management: you ALL should be ashamed!!!
Lived in NY my entire life and I have to say this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to anywhere. Im not one to usually write reviews but had to after seeing some of the negative reviews. If youre looking for a quick cheap dinner go to your local pizzeria. The entire staff from Angelina to the waiters are over the top accommodating and friendly. I was there last night to celebrate a birthday. The second I walked in the door I was greeted by Angelina and her son. There was live music playing and I had a drink at the bar before sitting at my table. The food from the appetizers to the entrees were amazing. I had the Filet mignon which was cooked perfectly! When telling the waiter that I didnt want the mushrooms or onions that came with this, I was asked if they could make me some mixed vegetables instead. I had 3 different waiters serve my table and they were all great. They brought out a cake with some sparklers, and the staff and band all sang Happy Birthday to my gf. I recommend this place to friends and family all the time and cant wait for the next time Im there!
Went there for my wifes birthday. A disappointing experience all around. When I gave my name to the hostess for my reservation, Angelina came over yelling, We have your reservation. She then asked us to wait at the bar for our table, when there were at least dozen empty tables. After about 15 minutes (enough time to have drinks) we were seated. When we ordered our food I specifically told the waiter not to put ANY pepper on any of the food. Ordered fruite de mare. When it came it was HOT mussels and clams in a very spicy red sauce over linguine. That is not what I have ever received when ordering fruite de mare. It should have been a cold fish salad. Very disappointing. And the waiter came over twice to ask if we wanted pepper on our food. Next was the entre. I ordered the salmon, it came covered in little black round things, which turned out to be peppercorns. Either the waiter or the cook can not follow instructions. And the waiter once again asked if we wanted pepper on our meal. At that point we just paid the bill and left,. completely disappointed. Would never go back there again. The thing that saved the night was going to Confections for dessert.
Must admit that after my visit there this past weekend I am very surprised that there are so many good reviews. My experience was - at best - poor. The good first: the setting is very nice, though I dont consider the views to be so spectacular as I have read from some. The restaurant itself is very nice with a bit of an old fashioned feel to it, and has a very nice wrap around terrace. That being said, those things do not make up for the simply awful service and incredibly slow service we encountered. The food was ... OK. Not bad but nothing to write home about. The service was incredibly slow, and yes I know we NYers often expect too much but this was at a snails pace. There was a 200+ person wedding party below us and it seemed they had their attention focused there and that our 50-60 person event played 2nd or 3rd fiddle, or maybe the kitchen/staff was overwhelmed by that event and couldnt handle both efficiently - which is an equally bad comment. The amount of time between courses stretched out for way too long. For a 6:00 event we didnt get to the main course till almost 9!! Something as simple as serving bread with the appetizer and/or salad seemed to be too big a challenge. Another simple thing, rather than setting out coffee cups and then serving at the table they filled cups in advance and brought around trays of - by then - cold coffee (though they poured from the pot for refills...DUH!) ... and the coffee was more like colored water. Ugh! All in all a poor experience and I would not recommend it based on many factors - poor service, only passable food (not complaining about the food, it was ok), located out of the way unless you live near the Outerbridge Crossing bridge and not so spectacular setting (yes, very nice to be right on the water but you are looking at a nondescript part of Jersey).
In order to enjoy this meal, you need to go in with certain expectations. You need to expect to pay an arm and a leg, but you need to expect to be pampered for your trouble. With that mindset, this place was awesome. My wife and I went for a date night, and every moment was fancy and special... It was so fun to have them wait on us hand and foot, with all the stops from a delicious mixed bread basket and berries for our proseco to delicious home-cooked feel entrées and a dessert to blow you away. Combined with the gorgeous atmosphere, there is so much to like as long as you prepare your wallet ahead of time
In a nutshell, this is Italian fine dining done right. First time visit on a Sunday night at Angelinas. We were greeted warmly at the entrance by Stamatis, the manager, and sat without any delays in the middle of a very beautifully decorated dining room. The dining room ambience evokes warmth and the light Italian music makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. The service was top notch with very attentive and proficient wait staff that prepare and finish meals table-side on a guéridon which adds a lot to the personal dining experience. The caesar salad (prepared and mixed table-side) was the best I had, and the pasta parmiggiano was a real star. Simple ingredients yet high quality and amazing flavor. My dining companion opted for the grilled bronzino which was deboned and plated table-side by our expert server Besi, and I had the pasta bolognese. The owner, Angelina herself checked with us throughout the meal as well the the manager Stamatis. All in all we had an enjoyable and truly hospitable experience that we look forward to repeat in the near future. Mille grazie!!!
I went for the first time, great food, nice atmosphere....but be aware the pricing on Sundays for lunch are DINNER prices! Lunch for 4 people was close to 300.00!!!!!!!Thete is a lunch menu Tuesday through saturday until 4. Food excellent though, despite the overpricing. The
If your looking to get scammed this is your place, food is also average extremely high prices. My bill was $300 I went to pay with a credit card and I was told they are charging a almost 4% fee because it I was using my card I was told if I pay cash the fee is waved what a scam!!! I also ordered a bottle of wine and and the waiter came back to tell me that he couldn’t find the one we wanted and recommended another bottle that was similar, wound up the bottle he recommended was $10 more expensive of course, how about you go find the one I wanted originally, not scurry the wall of wines in the dark, maybe Angelina’s can invest in flashlights for waiters with the extra % they hit you with when using your credit card! Staff was also rude, but they do give you terrible fake italian accents for free.
One of the nicest restaurants, event venues, on Staten Island. Its one of the most picturesque spots on SI with the Outerbridge Crossing as a back drop. Ideal date spot night, family dinners, birthdays, weddings, sweet sixteen, businessevents, etc. From private dinners to large groups...the food is phenomenal and the drink variety is great.
If there was the option to put negative stars I would!!!!!!!! I attended a party in the tent with my wife this pervious weekend and I couldnt be more disgusted with the service and food. First of all, there was a lipstick stain on my plastic chipped wine Glass, absolutely disgusting. Second, the penne vodka was rock solid hard, completely under cooked. I also over heard the way Angelina speaks to her employees and it honestly turned me off to the point I will not return to this place and would never recommend to any family or friends. Lastly, I ordered Grey Goose and club the whole evening and then my third drink tasted different, Clearly they use a different vodka each time they served me. Very cheap and unprofessional service.
Encouraged by a cable channel show reviewing Italian restaurants in NYC and wanting a special place for a special occasion, I called for an early reservation during the week. I was assured this was THE place. I asked for a nice table and explained the occasion of a dual anniversary (ours and our sons and daughter in law). After she checked, I was assured there would be no problem and no disappointment. The reservation was made for four at 4 PM on Sun., June 14. Upon arriving at 4 PM Sun. June 14, we were greeted with no acknowledgement of a reservation. We may as well have walked off the street. The hostess went in to check table availability and our choices were totally disappointing. Room where there was a big private function or a booth by the bar. We sat at the booth, hoping it would be the quieter of the two.. After a very noisy dinner (quality of food spoiled by ambience), we were asked to accept a complimentary drink in another part of the restaurant. We accepted the offer as an effort to make up for the inconveniece. Nonetheless, the initial expectation and the actual experience was a disappointment, staff excluded.
Love this place! Our baby shower and my sisters proposal was handled here. Customer service at its best. The entire staff is attentive and accommodating. Hands down the best service weve had and the food is phenomenal. Try the Fettucini a la casa and the Filet Mignon, both incredible!
Im giving it 5 stars for the food, also our waiter Francesco was good. Its expensive, we heard, we knew, we know...martini is $16 so you cant deaden the sticker shock with too many of those. We were only disappointed because we went for our anniversary (with gift cards from ol Costco) and we had made 8 pm Sat reservations. There was a happening vibe when we walked in, so we didnt mind when the hostess said our table wouldnt be ready for a few more minutes and we could wait at the bar. There was the right guy singing Mack the Knife, lively conversations over drippy candles in these cool booths (who do you have to know...or be...to land one of those...?), so, yeah, we were enjoying our cocktails and the atmosphere. Then it was off to our table with the hostess who proceeded to walk us up 2 flights (!) of stairs to a third floor room. Quiet, mostly empty tables, yeah there were windows offering a distant glimpse of some Perth Amboy at night but it was amazing how you could not even hear the faintest sound of the action on the main floor. Quiet. I thought of the hostess telling us how our table was not ready when there were all of these just sitting here.....If your looking for quiet conversation over your meal then this is for you (our 21st anniversary). They chip off a few chunks of parmigiano reggiano and give a small dish of eggplant caponata with good bread so you have something to keep your mouth busy while you scour the menu (and take a break from all that tawkin, lol). What I Loved: They had specials, yes, but instead of listening to someone rattle them off and then wonder if youll be kicking yourself later when you find out what they cost, they list all the specials in detail along with their prices so there are no surprises and you can really study the choices. I had a swordfish special so fresh and juicy perfect. Shared a yummy shrimp pasta special as an appetizer and thought it was a generous enough portion. He had Chilean seabass from main menu and it was a good portion, no complaints there. Potatoes and fresh veggies were cooked right. Food tasted extra special, impressive even.We will go back before 22.
Made reservations for 8pm, seated at 9:15, didn’t eat until 10pm. Enough said.Seems like this is common for restaurants on Staten Island. This is why Staten Island will never be taken seriously. The only reason it’s not 1 Star is because it’s the middle of a pandemic.
Impeccable was an under statement. This place displays an old school vibe with a unique modern touch. From the moment we walked in, Vincent (owner), greeted us as if we owned the place. The food set an immaculate precedent for us, when we wont forget. The absolute precise atmosphere if you are trying to impress a date or enjoy a family dinner; one that makes you feel pristine.
I was there on 7/12/14 for the engagement of my friend Victors son. It was held in the tent outside. It truly was a great experience. Great decor and feel good atmosphere. Attentive waiters, bartenders and Maitre ds. Excellent ,generous portions of appetizers. Penne in vodka sauce were tasty and al dente. My choice of veal for main course was outstanding, along with the mash potatoes and crispy vegetables. Toward the end of dinner service, Angelina herself stopped by to congratulate the couple and to make sure everything went well. Everything went very well. I highly reccomend this restaurant if its in your budget. I will be back soon with my family.
Angelinas is a spectacular restaurant located at the last stop of the Staten Island Railroad. The building was used as a hotel at the turn of the century, replete with wrap around porch where you can dine beside the working waterfront. The grounds contain Bocce courts (Angelinas hosts a league on Wednesdays), outdoor seating, an outdoor bar and a lavish tent for outdoor affairs. The food is outstanding but the price tag is high, running approximately $100 per person for a basic dinner which is why I only gave it four stars.Angelinas is definitely worth the trip for lunch, dinner or if you want to host an impressive affair.
Angelinas this is a very nice place for kids especially the bread the is perfect it is very soft and they give you cream cheese some kind of cream cheese and it is on the best restaurantI’ve ever had go to because it’s very soft and if you would rather I would recommend going there if I were you and you might actually like it that your tea and everything in there is very very good so if you would like to try their food go ahead and try it there’s no reason to be scared it’s the best place I’ve ever went to!!

2021-09-19A step back in time. It was a wonderful sunset dinner on the terrace. There was a talented live singer on Saturday. I dont know if they do this every night but it just added beautifully to the ambiance. The food and service was also exceptional. I cant wait to return!

But Not here Just Right Great job to the Kitchen Staff from the Chef to the dishwasher.Everyone had something different for a main course one Steak another one had Salmon One Pasta Gnoccohi, Zuper Di Pesce with blacksquid ink and a a Order of pasta Pomodoro For the dessert we had the chocolate cake Was excellent And the deep fried banana cheesecake, I got the full impression that the owner sends those feelings and Vibes through herself and her staff that if you were actually home cooking for yourself with the Cleanliness friendliness Feel Good Atmosphere This comes with years of experience And So relaxed Not Rushed you know everything is done right, It was such a beautiful experience I forgot to take pictures 🤣 Oh I forgot to mention , live entertainment, and a beautiful girl went up a couple of times from her table to sing what a beautiful voice. The whole Restaurant was Applauding and yelling for more, the waitresses and waiters Stopped like it was a time zone And focused on the girl singing Valerie ! What else could you ask for Perfect Night.

2022-05-29We were very excited to go but came away very disappointed. Bad food. Bad service. Would not recommendPrice point is on the higher side but would be ok if the food was half decent. We had the calamari, burrata, fried zucchini dish, rigatoni (which they claimed was a “game changer”), linguine vongole, salmon, and finished off with cheese cake and tiramisu. Everything except the parm to start was badMy wife put it best -- hmmm — Targets store bought meatballs with Raos sauce is 100x better.

2021-06-26Good overall experienceThe place is big.You can find a table inside or outside the building.Nice atmosphere and live musicGreat choice of italian food, I am not a fan of pasta but you can find meat/seafood in the menuDont expect the food to be ready soon, the place is overcrowded and the waiter can forget about your existence for 30 minutes after binging you the menuValet parking, so no worries about limited parking spotsNot cheap

2021-08-10The food-I’ve had better tasting food in the Italian restaurant of all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. The service-we had to ask the waiter to bring us bread basket after they already brought us appetizer ( baked calamari with soggy bread crumbs), also when they seated us there was only one cloth napkin on the table, we asked for more-they brought us a dirty one. And the restaurant was 1/3 full at the time of our reservation. 2 stars for the atmosphere-life music, the outside seating is pretty. Never again.
